This hardware store was around the corner from where we'd eaten lunch. What a find! If you like old fashioned service, this is the place. On entering, I was immediately greeted and helped. I was actually escorted to the section I needed. And some different options were explained. I needed some silver polish. To my surprise they had a plethora of options in a variety of forms and brands. After looking them over, I chose the one closest to what I was replacing. Check out was a delight, as well. A true neighborhood hardware store. When you ask an employee where an item is, they don't just point you in the direction, they will go with you to act as your personal shopper. You are in and out in no time, and they always seem to have exactly what I need. I am impressed that they always seem to have what I need, and there always seems to be options--it's not like there's only one in each category. On a recent visit I needed various screws of different lengths, diameters, and styles. This is always so daunting, but the salesperson made it easy, and just as importantly, gave me confidence that I was getting exactly what I needed. My project was to wall-mount my ukulele collection, and we had a great conversation about classic guitars. One heads up: Drivers on Dixie Hwy someone seem worse than other parts of West Palm, so be careful when turning into their parking lot. read more

It is a small store compared to HomeDepot but you can find a lot of hardware item and beat of all, you won't waste time there looking for an employee to help you. read more

Customer service is top notch. This is your typical hardware store where they have an incredible variety of parts, do-hicks and whatchamacallits. You may pay a little more here for some items but you will not waste your time running around trying to get that special part for your project. Even the younger employees are knowledgeable. I went in this week and needed a single metric screw to repair a garden hose. My helper immediately knew what I needed and I was on my way about 2 minutes later. Incredible. When shopping, don't forget their garden supplies across the parking lot. If you don't see something and you think a full service hardware store could have it, just ask. These guys are the best. Don't go anywhere else. They have everything you need in stock. Even things you don't need. Quick, easy and fair. Extremely knowledgeable with even the most obscure items. Friendly service and very reasonable prices. If they don't have something in stock, they'll order it for you and you'll have it the very next day. I never go to the big box stores anymore. I needed a set of car keys cut - they could not have been any more helpful. The replacement keys were under $40 - and for the time it took to find the blanks, cut the blanks and move the chip from my old fob to the new fob was way more value than what they charged me. I've been a loyal customer here for years. Always have great service, until this week when I was price gouged and then tsk tsked by a rude lug at the register. I understand inflation. But a 75% and 90% price increase on in-stock items?! When I said to the cashier, this was marked for $3.99 and you rang up $6.99. I was told, see this (tiny, little scrap of paper) sign? The price at the register is the price you pay. (I read through voice tone and body language: like it or lump it, Jack!) This was not the only huge price difference between MARKED goods and what was charged. In short, yes I am glad to pay extra to have knowledgeable help assist me, so I'd go here over a big box store... but when I feel used, misled and then dissed... No thanks. It is disturbing to enter the store and none of the employees are wearing a mask. Endangering older or immunocompromised patrons is irresponsible. Well they used to wear masks and gloves, but went in yesterday and no one working there was wearing either, and one salesman, trying to be helpful I'm sure, was following me close behind. When I paid for my item, I asked why they weren't wearing masks and got no response. Just blank stares. Use to go into Hall's at least once a week. Preferred it to George's down the road. Excellent customer care immediately greeted when you enter the store just tell them what your problem is and what you're trying to do and they'll give you options, also great references for trusted vendors and contractors. no nonsense business they get you in and out so you can get back to the job. Used to go out of my way to go to Hall Hardware store since they have such a large selection of items you don't find at Home Depot and I usually prefer supporting local businesses. Sadly I am not going to go back there any more. They have a sing on the door which states that several of their employees have medical reasons why they can't wear a mask; but I asked and 25 year old employe there what is medical reason is for not wearing a mask and he said he was told by the owner that he didn't need to. Any business which doesn't appreciate the safety of their customers shouldn't be in business, not to mention if they are law abiding citizens they should comply with the county ordinance. I am now going to George's Hardware store just a short distance south of Hall, where they respect the safety of their customers. read more

I am very disappointed that my favorite hardware store has chosen to put their political beliefs before the safety and comfort of their customers. I was in there and no one working there was wearing a mask they were all running around laughing and talking and ignoring the COVID-19 protocol and mandate from West Palm Beach that business employees should wear masks indoors. Because the store is so cramped and the isles are so narrow it is also impossible to social distance from the employees which makes the violation even more egregious. I always loved this store and felt the service was excellent until today. I went in for a few items, wearing a mask and no one, including the employees wore a mask or was socially distanced. They ALL claimed a medical exemption from these prescribed PB County orders. The employees were clearly under 30 and very indignant about safety precautions during a pandemic. read more

I was given a gift of a $100 boxed tool from this store. The giver told me that it was returnable (for a store credit) as long as the sealed box was unopened and the store's price sticker remained affixed. So I drove 40 minutes to take this item back only to be gruffly told it's store policy to not take returns on tools. But then the manager asked, did I have a receipt? I explained that it was a gift and that the purchaser understood that the item WAS returnable, no mention of a receipt necessary. I knew the purchase date, so the store could easily have accessed the purchase info, but they refused to do so. And, btw, there was nothing posted at the register or the door about this "policy". It was so obvious the item hadn't even been taken out of its box and that it could easily have been re-stocked for resale. But no way was the manager going to do anything for me without the original receipt. Even the credit card billing statement wasn't going to be good enough, he said. Isn't the issue whether the tool has been used and whether it is acceptable for resale? Apparently not. I say this establishment gets a big fat zero for customer service, and I will certain head elsewhere for any and all future hardware needs. read more

This used to be my go to hardware store, I like supporting small businesses and Hall Hardware is conveniently located near my home. HOWEVER, since the Pandemic began the employees have all refused to wear masks. Public safety isn't a political issue, we need to work together to keep one other safe and masks are a crucial part of that. With new, more contagious strains of the virus in the US right now, it is imperative to wear a mask. Given that the management and employees at this store do not care about the health of their customers I will not be returning, even after the pandemic is over. read more

Absolutely shameful! I went in to buy some fasteners and saw the same nonsense. I purposely avoided the maskless guy at the register and waited for another guy to take my money and this guy too was maskless. I asked why wasn't the other guy wearing a mask and he said he had a medical condition. So then I asked what was his excuse? He said "me too"! What a crock! This is a neighborhood hardware shop, yet their employees and owners refuse to wear masks despite local ordinance, endangering the lives of those in the local community it serves. Ironically, they also sell KN95 masks at an exorbitant price of $4 each which is likely price gouging, yet these masks are all defective as the straps break off on initial wear. Preparing for hurricane Matthew we stumble across this hardware store. We had an idea of the screws we needed but were not sure if they would fit our shutters so we asked for help and they didn't have the exact screw, which was fine but then I suggest bringing them home and trying them on the hurricane shutters he quickly replies " oh we have a no return or exchange policy because of the hurricane" so I say to him " but we would come right back" of course he went on to say all sales were final. We needed up going to Lowes and found the same screws 47 cent less. This place is a rip off wouldn't come back here even if they were giving shit out for free. read more
