My husband got his wedding suit here and it was one of the most disappointing experiences. They had tons of fabrics to choose from -- but nothing out of the ordinary. It was incredibly disorganized and we had to dig through fabric books to find something similar to what he was looking for in terms of color. Tiger was nice, but VERY new to this. We were hoping for a little more guidance/expertise, but his style didn't quite align. He didn't ask any of the right questions and we had a significantly better experience at Indochino in terms of measuring. The cut on the suit is pretty bad. After alterations, it was still slightly off. We ended up taking it elsewhere to get the right fit. It took a long time time to get the suit, shirt, waistcoat, and tie. They didn't even tell us when it was ready for pick up - we had to call and ask. The first shirt that arrived was entirely wrong (and like three inches too short) so they had to make a new one. We ended up ordering his shirt from Proper Cloth instead (which turned out to be awesome). Overall, it's fine. But if we could do it all over again - we would definitely go somewhere else. read more

Ben is a master at what he does. A specialized eye that finds the smallest of imperfections and will make sure that you are fitted to your absolute best. I was able to walk in on a nice Saturday and was helped immediately. Whole process was seam-less (no pun intended) and his knowledge was help to make sure that I was outfitted in a suit that looks classic, but subtly elevated. Under-delivered too many times. I worked with a salesman to design a suit. That experience, the showroom, and building were all great, but those are the easy parts. Their salesman left, their "supply chain" didn't come through, and there were multiple failings with their showroom director, Ben. I made multiple day-long trips to ultimately receive half-tailored goods with chalk markings and open stitches. Ben didn't know why my tailoring was incomplete (look in the bag please before saying it's ready) and suggested I replace my own undelivered shirt by visiting a different formalwear company. Since then he's stopped responding, so I can't trust he'd come through with any reimbursement on fixes done elsewhere. Besides, he missed the intent and date by far. It's a shame they lead with vegan designs but then waste every resource imaginable not carrying through. Of the four garments I paid $1750 plus wasted time and fuel for, the pants were almost correct. Sales led and poorly coordinated. Moreover, I've spent two weeks trying to connect with their support team, their General Manager Kiyoshi Martinez, and both founders McGregor Madden and Richard Hall but have not received any reply to my requests to make this right. read more

My husband and I recently decided to stop in to this spot one day after looking online at multiple other shops. I must admit, when we first arrived to this business, it looked more high-end than our expected budget. We were pleasantly surprised to find high quality for a great value. He's always had issues with off-the-rack suits, due to his broad shoulders and a slim waist. Ben did a great job as our consultant, He was very attentive and took time to explain all of the different choices and characteristics available in a shirt, offering just enough feedback and guidance to where we felt like we had complete freedom when it came to choosing and yet not to the point that we felt overwhelmed by all the available options (there is A LOT of options available). He was pleasant to talk to as well as very accommodating throughout the entire process. I recently worked with Lance to get a suit for my wedding. What a wonderful experience! The suit fit like a dream and I received compliments all night. It's hard to find someone like Lance who both has an eye for detail and style. My vision was a little nontraditional in having a different color jacket and trousers. I was so satisfied that I ended up completing the sets and getting a matching jacket and matching trousers. Started the "fitting" process in November. Paid upfront almost 4K for three made to measure suits. There really isn't much measuring going on when getting fitted. Ben takes on off the rack suit and then eyeballs adjustments and hopes it works. Scheduling and communication is horrible with last minute cancellations and booking far out for next appointment. After several months and fittings I took suits home and each suit was a different size. When I requested to fix Ben agreed several points of the suit didn't fit correctly after pointing them out despite his "professional" eye in the previous fitting saying the suit looks great and took a pic to brag internally. He just wants you to agree and move on. The problem with made to measure is if you correct one part of the suit it creates another because they never measured your fit in the first place. I asked for a refund and was told the manager would contact me. That took several weeks despite being told next day. So I just disputed charge with credit card. company. Now I'm left with no suits and they kept my 4K with complete lack of communication. I'm not 100% satisfied and they do not guarantee that financially. Not sure what else to do on getting my money back. Complete lack of trust for the Hall Madden system. My advice go to a department store or go to a true bespoke shop that will measure you. read more

Because of my job I wear a suit four days a week. I'm a bit particular; I want a trim fit and I want quality stitching so the suit lasts. Lance get's it all right. A few years ago I sought out just about every online review of made-to-measure suit producers and came to the conclusion that Proper Suit was the best of the bunch. I had my first fitting with Lance, the Portland-based fit specialist, in Las Vegas of all places. The initial suit delivered: the best fitting suit I'd ever owned, largely in-part because it was the first custom suit I had ever owned but also because the Proper Suit model of an in-person fitting simply works.
