They have mask, party supplies, adult costumes, kids costumes, baby costumes, decorations and many many more. Price is crazy expensive for costumes but I guess that what it is. Mask was reasonable but that is the kids mask. The fitting room has ONLY two rooms. One small and one family. I don't want to be here come close to Halloween. Forget that!!! It's NOT the money for me, it's the waste of time driving here after calling yesterday and explaining that this costume didn't fit and I wanted to exchange it. Mind you the hat had a label that said nightmare on elm street and thats the costume I'm buying I know it was a separate charge and not even like that she wanted to charge it! Came here today, almost two weeks before Halloween, during the week, and you can already see, its starting to get busy.. This place is the mecca of all that is Halloween. They have everything, and everyone..costumes that is. Prices are accommodating, and they do have a big selection. More of a hands on, as opposed to having to order it, and have someone bring u the costume, which i personally dont like. So come early to avoid the lines. I was hoping for an amazing find, a new go-to costume place, something off the beaten path that I could be excited to discover. I wish I could rate this place higher, but the poor service keeps it from being great. Laura S. recommended this place when I needed a cheap wig for a party. It's a massive, warehouse-style place with EVERYTHING you could possibly think of for a party. A whole wall of wigs, hats, mustaches, etc. and aisles and aisles of very well-organized and well-labeled costumes for men, women, children, babies, and pets. I grew up with the make-your-own-Halloween-costume method of parenting (a.k.a. poverty), so usually I shun costumes in bags, but this store had a great variety of original ones I'd never seen before. It's the Costco of costume shops. The store was nearly empty on the Saturday afternoon I was there. Despite this, I had a horrendous time trying to get service. Wigs are all behind a counter and must be asked for. However after waiting for about 20 minutes while the one employee helped some other people, she simply walked away and never came back. I wandered around for a bit, looking for someone, before I asked the lady at the customer service desk for help. She paged to have a staff member go to my aisle, but no one came. Finally, she came over to help me herself. After she patiently waited while I tried on several wigs, I picked one and went to check out. A couple in front of me was buying a full cart of party supplies, and there was ONE cashier working. And checking them out took FOREVER. I waited for a while, as she kept apologizing to me and saying, "I'll be right with you." There were other staff standing around, and I thought that maybe they weren't trained or authorized for the register, but as soon as the couple was finished, she handed it off to one of the guys who had been standing around, and sat down to take a break. Why didn't he just check me out before, after noticing how long I was waiting to buy one item? My wig from the bag looked a LOT different than the sample one I tried on, but I liked wearing it anyway. It wasn't TOO cheap, but they had the variety and convenience I needed for a last-minute buy. No refunds at all. Good thing I can figure out SOME Spanish, because I only knew this because of the multiple signs in Spanish saying so (nothing in English, and the cashier never mentioned it), and by Laura's advice. read more

When you coming here and you purchase a costume they tell you to go ahead and bring the item back so you can get a refund. And then when you come in they tell you oh it says down here in your receipt that there's exchanges only no refunds given. That is bullshit and that is false advertising. So either way you're stuck with coming in here and having to get their mediocre merchandise. Consumer beware, know that you're not going to get your money back but you have to exchange for something else. It really bites when they don't have what you're looking for. read more

I was going to give this place only 3 stars. But i'll bump it up to 4 stars. Huuuuuuuuge selection of costumes, masks, wigs, props.. You name it.. They probably have it here. I went on a hunt for a Boba Fett costume. While they did have the costume there.. It didn't come with a mask. What the phoooo... No mask?? Then its useless. Decided to go to plan B and get a Storm Trooper costume and mask. And the best part about this place? It's open year round! (Main reason why i bumped it up to 4 stars. lol) Parking: Not bad. Tons of people when I went, but still had many spots. Service: Not bad. They have workers on every aisle and on different ends. So if you need help trying a costume on or need help looking for a costume then there will always be a worker close by. Will I be back? Not sure. Yay! I'm a fan...because they have a HUGE, HUGE selection of costumes and props. I saw quite a few versions of Captain America's shield, and varieties of mustaches such as a 60" bendable one. It's a bit difficult to navigate if you're in a hurry looking for something last minute like I did yesterday, but the girl who was roaming around was pretty helpful. Half the items that I got didn't have prices on them so they called for price check which made my transaction last longer than I wanted. The items that I were looking for were not dirt cheap, but they're not too overpriced either. Location was easy to find because it's right off the 5 Freeway before the Commerce Casino if you're heading north. It's on the surface street beside the 5 Freeway. Actually I would rate the customer service at Montebello's Halloween Club a 5. Everyone was friendly and helpful (especially the girl working the dressing room). My rating of the quality, uniqueness, surplus, and sizes available? = a 2. Oh, dang, and the prices are insane. They always are. Why? Mmmmm maybe because Halloween only comes around once a year. And not enough cool (adults) people randomly throw costume parties to make up the difference. So when I want my lil family of 4 to go all superhero-like this year, I'm virtually the only one who can find a variety of costumes in my size because women apparently drive the market for these things. Meanwhile, the adult men's sizes are gargantuous. The toddlers costumes were minimal for female action stars. And the girl's infant selection was even worse. No mini Wonder Woman outfits? When I do see something worthy of grabbing, there is a note saying "missing mask" or "missing hat." It's usually the piece of the outfit that really makes it too. In the words of a certain NFL broadcast crew, "C'mon, man!" Nonetheless, this is a well-organized store at least when I went (9/27/14). But my frustration about the costumes strayed me away from checking out the decorations (which I love) and the candy. They were probably overpriced as well. (We ended up purchasing 2 adult costumes with 20% off for just under $89.) Major letdown = those nasty dressing rooms. Seriously, they are scarier than any haunted house or maze I've ever been through. You know, I'm coming to realize that I'm kind of weird. And by "kind of", I mean "really" weird. And by "weird", I think I'm referring to the fact that my priorities in life are strange and my laziness kicks in at the weirdest times. Case in point: I ran out of toilet paper on Saturday. I work right next to a Ralphs and Rite Aid and I live 2 L.A. blocks from a Ralphs. I finally bought some TP on Tuesday because I couldn't take it anymore after 4 freakin' days. And yes, I did take craps at home. And no, I didn't pull a "Bin Laden", I did NOT use my hand. Luckily, I have an abundance of kitchen paper towels. Yes, feels weird. Chafes. Yes, clogs toilet, yes, gotta bust out the plunger, but this is what I'm talking about. I'm sooo damn lazy. On the other hand, in a heartbeat, I decided that it was really important that I go to Halloween Club along the traffic-laden 5 Freeway to find pieces of my concept Halloween costume. Yes, on a weekday. Yes, an hour long trip. Yes, in August. Yes, I was tired as hell. But come on, time is ticking, we're only 87 days from the big day. Yep, that's the story of my life. THIS is why I'm the black sheep of the family. I have to say that the "Club", as I've come to call it, is A-mazing. It's HUGE. They have everything you could want in a costume. And if you can't find exactly what you want, you can buy different pieces of different costumes and put them together. The staff is very helpful. The girl who helped me had been there for 8 years and knew her sh*t. I guess they have to know their sh*t to find anything in this warehouse. If you're hardcore about H-ween, you will LOVE this place. Beats any H-ween store I've been to in L.A. in terms of selection and range. Halloween is so great. It's the one time a year when every girl's inner slut comes out to play. The most mundane uniforms are often transformed into the raunchiest, porn-inspired attire. Even the most chaste virgin can get away with wearing the skankiest looking costume and no one will bat an eye. I say, if you got it, flaunt it (unless it's during office hours). And if you don't got it, please do us a favor and keep those rolls in the bread basket. Since the beginning of October, I've been so very excited to get my sexy back for Halloween. Although I already hit a couple of spots to find some costume ideas, it wasn't until this weekend when I hit the skanky jackpot (no hints until Yelpoween). I trekked my ass out to City of Commerce, to find myself in a childish awe at this Halloween haven. This humongous warehouse is full of awesome costumes, masks, accessories, and decorations that made me want to terrorize the nearby preschool with a plastic bloody machete in a clown costume. Oh wait, is that mean? Being close to the holiday, the aisles also happened to be full of people with the same ghoulish ambitions. The place had almost every costume you can think of for kids and adults alike, as well as really cool decorations. On a whim, I bought a ghastly shrunken head on a stake, to be used as a forewarning to the new hires in our office. Heh. The prices vary from pretty reasonable to ridiculous baller, depending on how picky you are about quality and detail. I only came here to try on a costume I was planning on buying on ebay. I wanted to make sure it fit. They have an amazing selection of plus size costumes for the ladies but like everyone else here has mentioned, they are WAY overpriced. The costume I wanted had an x'd out price of $79.99 but their price was $59.99. I got the same exact costume, BRAND NEW, on ebay for $30 free shipping, no tax. The ladies fitting room is like two flights of stairs up and wide open. You change in front of other ladies so the pervy teenage girls/workers can keep an eye on you. I didn't know about the no picture policy. I asked one of those teenage girls if they could take a picture of me in the costume and they very rudely told me no. I was able to take one of myself unbeknownst to them. ;) I'm glad I didn't give them any of my business and I hope I'm never in a position where I have to. I'm sticking with ebay. read more

I did some last-minute searching for costume accessories at Halloween Club. The store is large -- think of a section of a Costco or Sam's Club, devoted to all things relating to costumes. Each section is labeled ranging from toddlers' costumes to plus-sized and accessories. Given the season, they had a lot of extra staff on-hand to assist. The parking can be rough since Halloween Club is located in a business park but there is some overflow parking next door. At the time of this posting, Google Maps does not have an updated live shot so you'll probably end up seeing some fabric outlet store when you do the street view. I want to like this store. Really I do. They have a lot of stuff, mainly made in China costumes and some fairly good ones. Some really bad cheesy ones too. But they don't stand by what they sell. I told them I bought a floating bat a few years ago that broke, it didn't make it through Halloween night. They said no refunds if I buy a new one. So if I buy some battery prop that dies or doesn't even work, they won't exchange it even. If you want service and a company which stands behind what they sell, go to Party City. read more

Long story short: Prices here are double what you can get online with about as much service. It is true that the selection is massive with the costumes all bagged and organized by size, though I was hard pressed to find a mask that wasn't cracked. It isn't stated anywhere that you have to find the masks on the bottom of the racks and I had actually picked up the wrong mask for the vader outfit I was getting for my toddler. This was pointed out to me by one of the rare staff that runs the floor and offers assistance. There were no prices posted on the items or even around them. When it was time to check out there were 10 people behind a counter with 8 registers yet only 2 registers were even ringing customers up. The others were just standing around. They were obviously overstaffed with under trained employees. There was also an impromptu interview going on with new employees in the midst of all this, out on the floor. Everything has already been stated about the troubled parking situation. When the total came out on the register they wanted a total of $112.48 for 2 costumes that would cost me close to half of that were I to order online. I realize that there isn't the option to try it on, but neither is there in this store. There are signs saying that if you find a sales associate to help you can do this but being as there were 1 to none on the floor you may as well cross this option out. I realize this is a seasonal business. With the high prices you would think there would be some sort of service factor, but again, this place falls flat. Horrible experience. Bought a costume but it had the wrong item inside. Went to exchange and get the correct costume and they were sold out. They refuse to give me my money back, I do understand if there is a policy in place they stand by it. But this was the stores fault, the lady that attended me said "the cashier should had checked". I came here during a very off season (no Halloween in near sight) -- Therefore, i was hoping i would be spoiled rotten with the options. However, the aisle were relatively bare and they were doing constant restocking while i was in there. Prices aren't much cheaper (but they are). There is a tiny dressing room you can try stuff on but the poor sales associate has to wait for you and take off every sensor so if you have oodles of things to try, you'll be testing someone's patience. read more

Wow, this is the largest costume and party goods store I have ever been to! There were at least 20 aisles of halloween costumes, decor, accessories, and they have a large selection of party goods. I'm not too big on halloween so I can't judge their prices, but I was able to pick up a costume kit for about $33 today and it was less than the online prices. Location: It's in an industrial area near Home Depot. Though it's not an area I would visit on a typical day, it was definitely worth it since I was able to find just what I needed. I believe they are also open year round which can handy for those that want to decorate ahead of time. Parking: I went on a weekday morning and still struggled to find some open parking spaces so I assume it will be a much difficult task on a weekend especially in October so get there early for sure! Service: The girls were friendly and check out took some time since I was the first customer to be using a Groupon and they still need to figure out how to go about handling these which I really didn't mind since I was saving so much money. :) Great place to shop for halloween and parties, all under one roof. If you can't find it here, you're either crazy or not looking hard enough. Seriously, this place is crazy huge. They have all the latest costumes for adults, kids and even dogs. They also have lots of party decor, props, wigs and other fun stuff. They had fewer wigs and masks than the rest of the merchandise. I have never seen such a huge warehouse for costumes in my life. They have obscure stuff and really trendy costumes too. They carry Plus sizes as well. The only thing I didn't think was so great was their customer service and the way they make everyone feel like a criminal. Their dressing room area is run by a bunch of clothing Nazis. They watch you like a hawk and there are some serious rules. They take the items out of the bags and you get a claim number. Plus, there are no doors, so you're changing in front of a bunch of girls locker room style. I went at Halloween time, but they are open year round. It was fun to look at everything and get ideas but I can't afford these costumes. They are the same costumes you'd find at local halloween stores but open year round. One thing they do have thats hard to find is masks. A lot of masquerade type masks. They're very pretty! Not sure what the prices are on them but probably pricey. They also have a lot of halloween decorations that can be hard to find. I think if you're ever in the area it might be worth it to visit. I LOVE LOVE LOVE HALLOWEEN! it's my favorite day of the year!! Yesterday, I went to the Halloween Club for the first time and I was very impressed! The store carries every costume you can think of and in different styles too! For example, they had four different versions of the Batman costume. The costumes they sell are for all ages and sizes-they even have a wall dedicated to the Plus Sized. Picture going into the Costco of costumes. They have wigs, shoes, make up, masks, fair tale wings, and cool halloween items for those of you who like to improvise. Prices are better than most Halloween Costume Stores and they are currently having a 40% off sale if you buy two or more costumes (20% off each costume). I gave it 4 stars because I didn't buy a costume, I don't know the quality of customer service that is given. I'll be sure to update my rating/review once I purchase my costumes. Although I didn't buy anything from the Halloween Club.. because I'm not dressing up for Halloween this year.. I would say this is THE place to go to for costume shopping.. They have so many selections of costumes for the ladies... plenty of "Leg Avenue" costumes.. I'm sure you will find one that you will like.. "super awesome" that they allow you to try on the costumes!! Fitting room are only for the ladies and they only limit 2 costumes per customer .. so if you have a bunch that you will want to try on.. you will have to take quite a few trips to try all of them.. If you buy 2 or more.. you get 33% off.. (that's a very odd number..) You can either pay cash or credit/debit.. so no worries on that.. Parking might be hectic but they have parking securities that regulate.. so it wasn't too bad..
