There were about 6 checkout lines but it was ridiculously packed here. They may need to expand their store into the old Party City Storefront next door to address the customer base and needs. The only other Hobby Lobby Locations in SD County that I know of are La Mesa and Mira Mesa besides this Chula Vista location. We decided to leave and try to come back another day when it was less crowded. Overall this store had so many great things but the lines were taking 35min to 45+mins to checkout. They had three copies and held one under my name and phone number. After work, I headed down to pick it up and realized I forgot to ask if they received the deluxe album. The cashier helping me confirmed the copies they received weren't the deluxe edition, but she let me know three copies were ordered for the store. She went ahead and reserved a copy of the deluxe edition and complemented me on my name which made my night. Prices here on music are great too. They have music marked down 10% - 20% all the time, and their prices aren't marked up like crazy with some retailers on eBay. Thank you Barnes and Noble staff. You're all amazing!

I made the mistake of coming to this store on 2/14/25. I had no idea where it was in the mall (my bad they do have maps I just didn't check them) so I walked the whole length of the bottom floor and the whole length of the top floor dragging my 8 year old and dad who was visiting from out of town. The store is on the second floor near Macy's. I came to this store to return some of the items I bought online. I ordered my kid a 10/12 and they freaked out at how "big" they were. I didn't want to deal with reordering them so decided to return them. I had 5 items to return. The clerk told me a total and it seemed right. I got my receipt "emailed" (spoiler alert it never came!) and since I parked by Macy's I exited the mall. The whole time I could not figure out why the numbers seemed off to me. Once I got home I checked and even though I returned 5 items they only gave me money back for 4. No big deal right? Except they kept the 5th shirt. I had already schlepped down and back to this mall no way was I going again. I went online and filled out a customer service form. Waited the weekend, heard back they will give me my money back. Said it would take 3-5 days. Waited 3-5 days. It never came. Decided I am done with this company and drove down there again to return all the items from my order as I do not want to support a company that steals items and money from people. Second return went fine. I got money for all the items I returned. The store is super crowded (with stuff not people) the 2x I was in there within 1 month there was no more than 2 employees and never any one else shopping. Their clothes are cheap because they are low quality. The leggings and shirts are practically see through. I did keep one shirt sized 10/12 and it shrunk up super small (I washed it on warm permanent press and dried on low heat like I do any other new items purchased and have never had this happen). I will no longer buy from this company and thankfully because of that will not have to drive to this location again. I now have to do a charge back to get my money back since the store kept my item, did not refund me the money, corporate did not refund me the money. You get what you pay for (or don't) so beware.

For the most part, I go to dollar tree for their Mylar balloons, iced coffees, party supplies and all of their seasonal decor. You can get some Pretty cool holiday decorations if you get to the store right when they stock the shelves, but sometimes it's hit or miss. Some of their cashiers are very friendly and patient which is needed. Honestly some stores carry better selections than others and many of the items you find at the Dollar Tree you can find at Walmart for a cheaper price. Dollar Tree Is a gamble. It's an experience, but it's not for everyone.
