Normally, places like this that sell extremely non-essential home decorating objects seem to make a point of being friendly to induce you to buy something. Not these guys. Too bad. It would be a nice place to buy thing for your home or gifts for others. The trinkets and potpourri were artfully displayed. Smells great. Cute scarves. I don't know if it's because I pulled up in a truck? (which would, by the way, rule out half the people around here) or because I was just wearing jeans (guess they don't recognize $250 jeans from the Denim Bar) - and they assumed I didn't have money to spend? No clue. I wouldn't have considered it overpriced at first - but after the passive-aggressive treatment, you don't want to give your money to people who are rude and condescending to you - so $29 starts to seem too much to pay for a coaster set or olive tray and bad customer service.

The girls that work there are super fun, funny, knowledgeable people who love chatting with anyone who walks in the doors. You can tell this is the kind of place where regulars stop just to chat and check up on what's new. Besides the customer service being great, they have anything you could ever need - ANYTHING - in super unique stuff that everyone I've gifted to has loved, and there's a price point for every budget. I never leave empty-handed, and I'm always happy with my purchase. Word on the street is they do design services too, and from the store displays, you can totally tell! Everything is beautiful, seasonal, fresh, and new, so maybe design is next on my list from them. All in all, the BEST find in Southern Maryland. Will be back again surely... Probably this week. :)

What a terrific historic building reused in a creative and entertaining way. There is art, small furniture, new and repurposed decor, and unique tchotchkes to bring to your own cozy home or gift to someone else's. Worth the jaunt across the bridges from wherever you are. Pairs well with the sister antique building across the street, with rustic and whimsical art, antiques, and collectibles. A terrific find!

Located near the heart of Great Mills Maryland it's only about 45 minutes from DC. It features the art of renowned local talent like Mary Lou Troutman as well as Donnie Poe who was a master of making signs with reclaimed wood. The staff are all knowledgeable and friendly and prices are reasonable. If you're interested in local realistic art, which is typified by nautical scenes and life on the Chesapeake, you will be pleased with the store.

I'm going to be honest, I zoomed by this spot at first and had to turn around. When I approached…read moreagain, I wasn't sure where to park and pulled right into the front of the building on the gravel...I then moved my vehicle to the small lot to the side of the building. Even though I zoomed by this place at first, this ended up being my favorite place to browse. It is a multilevel building with many rooms that you can go through and peek at all the items. I took my time in each room/stall area to look everything over. There were pieces here that looked great, but didn't fit my need for the time being. I was about to exit when the owner saw my frustrated look. He asked me if you could help me find anything. I described what I was looking for and he started guiding me around the space. Pointing out items, but he knew that it wasn't what I was looking for. He even stated that they just sold something that might have filled that void for me. When I was about to head out he actually gave me suggestions on where else I should look. This is a great business and one that shares brochures for other antiquing businesses. He told me about other shops around and we ended up talking about cats. We also ended up showing each other pictures of our cats. It was and odd, but greatly appreciated experience.

There are three signs out front: "Harmon House Shoppes"; "Grandmother's Store"; and "Inner Equinox". I don't know what you might gather from three signs, but as I walked up the steps of the old house in which this shop is located I figured Harmon House Shoppes was a collective, and that Grandmother's Store and Inner Equinox were both inside. I was right, but these shops aren't separate. All the merch is together. This means that the chowder mugs, "Feeling Crabby" travel cups, crystal fan pulls, salt water taffy, and plush monkeys captured by "Grandmother's Store" are shelved right alongside the jasmine massage oils, meditation CDs, tarot cards, evil eye bracelets, and incense sticks captured by "Inner Equinox". This also means I was able to pick up a cheesy Chesapeake Bay snowglobe and delicate blown glass Christmas ornament because I like to collect both on trips, and husband was able to pick up a white sage smudge stick because he likes to burn things.

I left with a gorgeous abalone shell ($11.99, such a steal!), a handmade magnet to remember my trip, and a few tumble stones. I couldn't be happier!

All and all a great experience and it's kid friendly if you have children and a family friendly event during the day or even at night. They take cash only for concessions however, take credit cards for admission. The hot apple cider is great as are the cupcakes and sweets in the shop. There are real restrooms in the barn area and portable restrooms throughout. There was also cool Halloween decorated Jeeps at the parking lot for those wanting to show off their Jeeps. Definitely recommend a visit when it's back open next year.

She was not able to do anything , tried going through the maze only to be met with steps that she could not cross. Would have been just as easy to make a path beside the steps to be abel to get through. Or at least something saying that it was not handicap accessible..I dont care about paying full price for my wife if she was able to enjoy it like everyone else.
