Takako and her team did an AMAZING work for our wedding few weeks ago! I'm so glad we found them through The Knot website and just by the reviews, they were easy to work with and super communicative! I reached out to Halu Flowers starting August 2021 and up till our wedding in October 2022, she communicated with us the whole time. We ordered the arch flowers, 6 bouquets, 6 boutonniere, 4 lays, 2 small bouquet for the ceremony chairs/tossing flowers. We repurposed everything to be used again during the reception and her & her team did amazing!! All of our guests loved the flowers and I also preserved the bouquet flowers as well after the wedding (used Modern Bouquet Preservation btw). Takako gave me instructions on how to keep them fresh after the wedding as well up until giving the flowers to them. Takako is super knowledgeable and thoughtful and you can definitely see it through their work. I contacted HALU Hawaii five months before my wedding and since Hawaii was still in Tier 2, it was hard to plan what could be for my wedding day. However, Takako was very professional and was open and responsive to any kind of changes that I requested. I knew I wanted anemones for my bouquet and when I saw a centerpiece that HALU Hawaii reposted on her Instagram, I fell in love. I requested to have the same centerpiece but with some differences in flowers and Takako delivered. All of the flowers were beautiful and I couldn't have been happier. Since Hawaii weddings were opening up again, I had requested my centerpieces to also be served as the ceremony aisle flowers. HALU Hawaii knew exactly what to do and even helped to set up the centerpieces on top of our tables. I am so grateful for Takako's creativity and professionalism. I couldn't be happier with her creations. My family took my centerpieces home after the wedding and used it as decoration for my grandparent's 65th anniversary drive thru celebration. Of all the people that I worked with for my wedding, I am most excited to write one of Takako and her team. From the start, she provided me with a very detailed inventory list often providing different options for flowers and foliage with different price points (for my bouquet, bridesmaids bouquets, the arch). Pricing was super transparent. She listened to all my preferences on types of flowers I loved/hated, ribbon colors/lengths, but she also provided really helpful insight and recommendations. Halu Flowers completely made our wedding feel like a dream. It was exactly what we had pictured and more. They came to visit the site ahead of time, came early the day of so I could have my haku , bouquet and my husbands maile for pre- ceremony pictures. Waited for the ceremony to start, and stayed through the ceremony to repurpose the floral for the dinner to follow. They were kind, sweet, and full of aloha. Their work was breath taking and worth every penny. The arrangements stayed beautiful throughout the week, and we finally repurposed them all to our grandparents who had passed (left the remaining arrangements at Hawaii Memorial). Working with HALU was amazing! The arrangements, bouquets, haku lei... everything was perfect and better than anything I could have imagined! Honestly- I have no knowledge on types of flowers and working with Takako I learned so much. I had probably the most in-depth calls with Takako out of all my vendors and that's because she was so thorough on flowers I wanted, the flowers that would work, and more. Takako and Mika did my bridal bouquet, MOH & bridesmaids bouquets (11 bouquets altogether!), groom & groomsmen boutonnières (11 altogether as well), and a head table arrangement for the reception. I also ordered cake flowers from them to have on the wedding cake. When I first met them for a consultation, they were both very sweet and friendly to talk to. I told them what my vision and budget were, and they were very accommodating. Takako was very prompt in answering my emails/messages, and was also very flexible when I needed to make changes to my order. On the day of the wedding, they both arrived on time to deliver the flowers as discussed. The bouquets that they made were beyond beautiful! All the girls were in awe at how amazing they turned out. When we got to the reception, the head table arrangement was just as beautiful, if not more. It really made our head tables look elegant and stunning.
