Located on the corner of 3rd Avenue and Waialae Avenue, across from Chaminade University/Saint Louis School, Patty's Floral Designs is a local business that has been around for decades! The quality is outstanding! I looked at Patty's Instagram posts and was blown away by the colors, varieties, and beauty of her creations! She has a good eye and is very professional! I just had to meet her after passing by the shop all of these years! We were picking up lunch from the restaurant next door. The free, small, shared parking lot is much appreciated! I went inside initially for the air-conditioning. Then, I met Patty - she is so sweet! She showed me a lei po'o (crown of flowers for the head) that she just finished... ooh! It holds its shape because she winds the flowers around a wire! Smart! I've read reviews by my friends, Kelly K., Paul M., Nicole, Holly, Ric C., and Lyn L. They were all happy with Patty's work. I'll come here next when I need a bouquet or two!

I was talking to my sister in law about her upcoming courthouse wedding. She wasn't going to have a bouquet since it would be a small ceremony but I thought it would be nice to get her one and she agreed. I emailed Patty just to see about pricing and availability. They responded right away with all their options and pricing so I could decide. They put me on for that Saturday and confirmed everything. I said designer's choice for the bouquet and was a little worried but I shouldn't have been! When we got there Saturday morning to pick up the flowers, Patty greeted us. She was soooo nice. The flowers came out so beautifully and the lei was nice and full. Amazing service and quality! I would highly recommend and come here again :)

Watanabe Floral is Hawaii's largest full service floral shop since 1946, and my favorite shop. I try to visit here at least once a week to pick up roses/florals for my 2 vases, this help me think of a special person in my life who Loves floral. This place is such a happy vibe place/feeling, once you enter you will know what I mean. I just love the decor, so colorful, cheerful, so happy! I remember the very first time when I brought my mom here, I could see her happy face, I had to snap a photo of her at front of store. My recent visit I picked 10 colorful roses for my vase and also had to pick up a Birthday gift. Loved looking at all the orchids, picking one was hard. Watanabe has everything here, not only floral needs, you can just do your one stop gift shopping her. Like a local Hallmark with all the trinkets, gifts, snacks, jewelry, some very unique items that I never seen before. I came across the handmade crochet items and couldn't pass up on the bird and flower key chain, had to get them. They have very great vendors they purchase from, that's a great for supporting local! All in all, I just love shopping here! Don't forget - Mon-Sat. 9-4 & closed on Sundays! May your life be as beautiful as the flowers you give, spread happiness and joy with flowers!!

Up until now, they've always done a great job, but this recent experience for Mother's Day was extremely disappointing. First, the delivery driver brought the wrong bouquet. I paid $209.41 (including delivery), but my mom received a bouquet that was clearly not what I ordered later confirmed to be a lower priced arrangement. I had to call customer service, who then contacted the driver immediately. While I appreciate that they responded quickly, it still took about 47 minutes for the driver to return, take back the incorrect bouquet, and retrieve the correct one from the truck. When the correct arrangement finally arrived, the presentation was still off. The vase was too short for the flowers, making the bouquet look unbalanced and like it was falling out. For over $200, I expected much better attention to detail and quality. On top of that, the company advertised "free delivery," but that only applied to very limited areas on the island. I still had to pay a delivery fee despite the initial mistake being entirely on their end, which felt misleading. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience, especially for a special occasion like Mother's Day. I've had good experiences before, but this one really missed the mark.

Their tropical designs with protea, unique flowers, and lush foliage felt natural, artistic, and truly reflective of Hawaii. I loved the variety of styles & colors, and the arrangements felt generous and thoughtfully designed for the price. There was a delivery charge, but honestly it didn't feel like a deal breaker because the overall value was so good. Ordering online was easy, delivery was on time, and they even sent a photo of the final arrangement (I asked), which was absolutely beautiful. They made a couple substitutions, but I trusted their design sense completely. I'm already looking for reasons to place another order

The ordering process was so smooth and they were so accommodating, having my husband come in to see what flowers they had available ahead of time. They allowed us to pick which flowers and the color scheme. It's important to note that this is not specifically a wedding bouquet! I wanted to have something that I know I love and could not get behind spending $200+ for a bouquet personal choice. So this was absolutely perfect for us! They also created a beautiful wristlet and a boutonnière for us that matched the bouquet perfectly. We were so happy with the results. Highly recommend and will definitely continue to go them for our floral needs!

My husband…read moreand I had a consultation with him prior to placing the order, and he completely understood what I had in mind for the event based on the bits of info I shared. We had four 16' long guest tables to decorate, so Todd suggested using low profile arrangements with long-stemmed florals and ferns spilling gracefully over the border to occupy more of the space. I told him I wanted the table florals to be elegant and lush without being overdone and also wanted to add some flameless candles. I had no clue how to design the look I envisioned, but Todd understood. He told me how to intersperse the candles with the florals to cut down on expenses and create a serene and lovely ambiance. He proposed five floral centerpieces per table, featuring a large rectangular one in the center surrounded by two smaller round ones on each side, with candles set up between each floral. After set up on the day of the event, we took a step back to admire how gorgeous the tables looked. It was the perfect balance of lush and simple elegance. The colors of the arrangements were soft and soothing with pops of deeper hues that caught the eye. The flowers themselves were very fresh. Many guests remarked about the gorgeous flowers and how lovely the tables looked. I'm so thankful to Todd for designing floral adornments that were exactly what I had in mind, but couldn't quite put into words. My husband and I know that Mom would have loved them.

Having gone through my own serious health issue years ago I understand how quickly life can change and I sincerely wish him a full and speedy recovery. That said my wedding is only one week away and after not hearing from Todd for the past two weeks, I became very concerned about my flowers. When I finally learned that he was in the ICU with a phone call from him, I was genuinely worried for him, but I also had to make sure my wedding on August 18 will be taken care of. Todd eventually called me after another few days and he said his sister would follow up with me. I felt relieved but unfortunately another three more days passed without hearing from her and with my wedding just days away this created an incredible amount of unnecessary stress, especially when I paid him for the full service months in advance. I completely understand that emergencies happen but as a business owner, especially in the wedding industry where timing is critical there should be a backup plan in place to communicate with clients when the owner is unavailable. I truly wish Todd well with his health, but I hope he considers putting a better backup system in place so future brides do not experience the same uncertainty and stress during such an important time in their lives.
