The worst area is usually the cosmetics and accessories (to the far right in the store). If you like to dig through the additional markdowns, it's not unusual to find items broken, sampled, etc. Same for the additional mark clothing; every once in a while those racks look more like thrift racks than clearance, but once you find that diamond in the rough it can be worth it. I do wish this location got more of the special occasion pieces, but either I always miss them or they go to different Rack locations. If you've got the time, it's a great place to find great prices on everything from budget-friendly brands to designer brands.

It's not uncommon to have difficulty finding assistance, finding sizes in the wrong place - specifically shoes, messy racks, clothes left in changing rooms, and a long checkout line moving at a snails pace. When shopping here I expect at least a 50% discount, but it's not uncommon to only find 25%-30% on discounted items. Even with these negatives, I've found great shoes and some clothing. Brought them back to see if there was any way I adjust the belt loop & I was told to get a smaller belt. No other offer to help in any way was extended. Reason I got the boys size is because I don't fit into the men's size for #BrooksBrothers so the sales consultant was kind enough to find slacks from the boys department for me. I thought they would help somehow with a goodwill gesture if I bought additional slacks to replace these but I think I have too high expectations for this place. Good news though - some homeless chap in Birmingham, AL will be strutting some decent slacks around town.

I did some research on Rowan and I liked what I saw. I like that the piercers are nurses and I also like that you have the choice of getting your piercing with a device or with a needle. Personally, I am a pro needle person so this was the perfect place to bring my son. Rowan is near the Pandora store at The Summit. I was able to make an appointment online and when we arrived to Rowan, we were seen pretty quickly. There were quite a few walk-ins after us so I do suggest making an appointment. The nurse that pierced my son did a phenomenal job of explaining everything that she was doing and talking him through it so he wouldn't be nervous. Everything was sterile and so clean. This is exactly the type of experience that I would want for my child getting his ear pierced. The options they had for jewelry were quality, which is important with new piercings. Some might feel like the pricing is kind of high if you're comparing it to places like Claire's or Walmart. I think the pricing is on par with what you're getting.
