1st review: "Horrible service. Run, all they want is money from you. If you have a groupon, they will not honor it and try to make their way out of "paying a bit extra" with all types of excuses. Extremely unprofessional. Bargained with me over the phone if I could pay extra before I come there."
Btw, after my very first review, the manager even had the gut to call me back and asked me if I left a review on Yelp and now he has to call Yelp to complain. He told me EXACTLY IN HIS WORD: " I AM THE MANAGER AND NOBODY TOLD YOU THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY EXTRA AND NOW I HAVE TO MAKE A COMMENT on Yelp".
Listen, today is new year eve. All i am trying to do is to treat me and my boyfriend to a massage.
I called the place at 2:40pm, they open on new year day ( you can check my phone call history with the picture below). A Chinese lady told me that I can come immediately, I told her I have two people.
She after a while of checking and mumbling, told me I can come at 4.
- Then I proceeded to tell her that I have two groupons, she said that it's new year eve and "we are really busy so can you come at different time, one at 4 and one at 5". It doesn't make sense for us both to come at 4, have an hour massage then wait for the other an hour to get done, I refused and asked what does she means because previously we agreed I could come two people at 4. Problem occurs when I mentioned "Groupon".
- Then I told her no, I wanted two people at the same time, i don't even need same room ( couple massage), two individuals at the same in and out time. She said she knows but etc they are busy.
- Then I am like never mind then, she said huh? And be like if I can come back tomorrow ( which is new year), or Wednesday. I told her tomorrow is New Year I can't.
- She told me if I want to come today, only one person or I have to pay extra if I want to come two people
- I hung up over this BS. If you don't honor groupons, don't sell it. If you want more money, don't sell it. Do not have the gut to bargain with customer over the phone. Unprofessional.
- An Hour later, a guy called me, first thing he asked Hello, I am the manager, i heard you wanted to book. I told him no, since she asked me extra.
- He has the gut to be like : " Are you the one that left review on Yelp" I said yes, he told me that " I AM THE MANAGER AND NOBODY TOLD YOU THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY EXTRA, NOW I HAVE TO COMMENT ON YELP" in a threatening, attitude voice.
- I told him listen, I can show the history of calls, and he calling me back at exactly 4pm, for my "appointment" confirms that he acknowledge his employee messed up. Come on manager, I know you are reading this, if you really call me for my appointment at 4, you would call immediately after she messed up, apologizes and make amends, not call me at 4 ( which previously is my appointment time) asked me if i want my appointment. Then tried to lie to my face.
- He keep threatening with Yelp. I told him go ahead, I can provide proof. Then he keep repeating nobody told me that. The only fee i have to pay extra is taxes, which is 3 dollars ( in an attitude like I am a dumb ass)
It is funny how the manager, who is not even in the conversation, swear for something that he wasn't involved by ears or eyes. Sure, you filtered what you want from employees, or your schemes. But reviews only valid on honesty
- I clearly know what I heard. I was in the conversation. And I never reviewed anything on Yelp, let alone New Year Eve. But bargaining with customer? Shady business, manager call me and yell for my review? Threaten to comment with Yelp, it's new year eve and I am not that type of pathetic to write bad reviews on a day like this but this place, totally.
- if it was 3 dollars, why even bother to mentioned? The lady clearly told me i have to pay extra to come two people, today, cuz it's new year eve and they busy after I mentioned the groupon.
And yelp is a reviewing business, if you want business, you strive for good reviews, by good service. Not covering and yelling at customer and bargain.
Manager, before you reply or even do anything about this, i recommend you focus your time in your own business. As i told you i won't fix it cause yelp is a reviewing community and reviews must be based on honesty. Nobody should be scammed or treated bad without knowing what they are into.
And Yelp, if you take my comment away, means you are against your neutrality policy. This is what I experience, this is what I wrote, with timeline and a screenshot of my call logs. And yes guys, I booked my massage today at 5 with Four Seasons Spa, if you take a look at my call log, they totally honored in, no black out, nothing, extremely friendly.
And maybe my second review would be 5 star for their competitor because Hamilton does sucks. And i am not even a hateful biased person
