I will say the massage was great and that's what I'm giving the star for if I could give 0 for customer service I would, i took my husband to get a massage and at the end of the service when I was paying tho I was planning to tip before I was even able to i was told "you leave no tip and she provided a service for you" and met with sarcasm that was very un and unprofessional please work on that not everyone will be as patient as my husband was, it's very disrespectful to just assume people have to tip you even if they were not happy with their service, tho he had no problem tipping for the service, I tip was not left because before he could even finish his transaction he was met with demands and rude remarks read more

I haven't been to this establishment in years ....since they were at a different location in Lawrenceville and stopped going years ago after the staff at register checkout told me how much to tip in a rude manner. Many years have passed and I decided to go back because I was in excruciating pain for days and I had a certificate for someplace else but no immediate appointments available. I,m GLAD I did. I got one of the best massages. She was not part of their normal staff. She was from another country and educated in health and massage. It was the best massage i've had and I've been to a lot of different places through the years. If I go back I will only get massage if its from the same masseuse. The owners, I assume owners, who greeted? me at the door still lack charm but I can bypass that as long as I get a good massage for my money. read more

Relaxation Sensation sits in the back of the Lawrence Shopping Center, in a secondary building across from the main strip mall. It is open seven days a week. Walking in for the first time I was surprised how much it reminded me of the spas in China, as well as the Chinese areas of Flushing and LA. First, a big room full of large reclining chairs for foot massage. Plenty of light, and pretty clean. Friendly hostess greeting customers as they step inside. Passing through the large salon, a hallway begins with smaller private and semi-private rooms for massage. Mine was well appointed in an Asian style with soft lighting, music, chair and body heating unit. Prices good at $45 for an hour of traditional Chinese, Swedish or Deep Tissue massage. Hot stones and steaming towels all part of the package. Too much snow shoveling had left my lumbar spine is disarray. Tight and in need of relaxation to be able to stand upright and sleep through the night. My two herniated discs were grouchy. So, I went here to dig the pain out with strong hands, fists, elbows, and even knees if the practitioner was good enough. My masseuse, Joy, was expert. Normally, I will fall asleep during a massage, but this one was somewhat painful at times, and kept me awake and amazed as she dug in. She wisely spent as much time in my legs as my lower back, knowing that with low back pain the Qi is usually pushed downward into the thighs, causing knots and blockage of energy. Actually, the leg work is more painful than the spine. No choice but to grin and bear it. When she was done with the hot rocks and towels, and I stood up, I immediately noted the freedom of movement at my waist. I actually felt taller (again). Walking back to my car there was a spring in my step and the ability to stride easily that had been absent for a few weeks. So nice to have it back. Every ten visits gets a freebee. It may take a while to get that far, but with a new fusion resto going in next door, I can see making this a regular Sunday afternoon ritual. read more

If you're looking for an awesome spa experience where you're treated like a queen, this certainly is not the place and I'd look elsewhere. I expected a typical Asian tissue massage - hurts but feels so good, ya know? I did ask her to go a little at one point but she got into those knots I've been struggling with for a while and she knew where she needed to work on. You'll hear people outside the door, cars passing by outside since it's on business rt 1, no soothing music, but again that was to be expected. I've also had many massages at other spas, but I always return here. With that being said, I've been going to these people for years and they have been nothing but kind, accommodating and highly effective. I strongly recommend LiLi! I was miserable--stressed, aching back, generally a mess. I called mid-afternoon and was able to get an appointment for early evening. The spa is clean, if basic (it is located in a strip mall), but the atmosphere was pleasant and nicely lit. Hands down, the best massage I've ever gotten. Anywhere. Joy did a fabulous job! I had a 90 minute massage, of which an hour was full body and 30 minutes was leg/ feet. She used great pressure, and I really enjoyed the hot stone aspect of the massage. Note that the salon is no-frills. No aromatherapy or any other special add-ons. Knocked a star down because I think the pricing scale is off. For just $5 more I could have had 120 minutes (an extra 30 minutes). Highly recommend either going with the 60 minute package or the 120 minute. After my 1 hour massage the lady at the front desk swiped my two credit cards 4 times each and told me that my transactions were declined. I left my personal belongings (purse and ID) with them at their request and went to the PNC down the street to get cash out of the ATM to pay the $48 dollar fee. Upon my return I was greeted by an Asian man at the front desk who told me that credit card transactions are not accepted from new customer only cash. I paid for my massage and informed him that I wasn't a new customer and I was at the location a few months ago..... in response he said, "I don't know your face so I don't accept your credit card but next time I will." I couldn't believe my ears so I told the young man standing behind me waiting to pay what had just happened and then I left. I sat in my car for a moment to gather my thoughts and the young man who was behind me in line came out and walked over to my car door and asking if I was ok .... he then explained to me that he was a first time customer and they accepted his credit card... he went on to apologize to me for the way I was treated and that's when we both realized that my credit card wasn't accepted because I'm a woman of color and his was accepted because he is a white male. The young man was visibly upset and my feeling are extremely hurt. I think it's fair to say we both left disappointed by the experience. I will never return to this establishment. read more

I got off work early one day, and called around to a few places for a massage. I was able to get in for a 1 hour massage right away (within 15 minutes of the appointment time). I had a hard time finding the place because yelp didnt have the new address posted. When I got there, I was excited to get in on such a short notice. Not even 15 minutes into my massage, 2 unknown people entered the building, and I could hear their whole conversation with the person at the front desk - claiming that the massage establishment was building things without the correct permits - new lumber and a tub were supposedly outside. My 1 hour massage was up, the therapist asked if I could stay for an extra 30 minutes because I had some pain in my feet. Little did I know that there was a huge price difference. 60 minutes is 45 dollars. 90 minutes is 85 dollars. Massage is meh, at best. Therapist made me feel uncomfortable by asking why I didn't work out more, and that she could tell - that i wasnt in shape. I go to pay after being embarrassed. I ask how much, she tells me $85. I had her my card, and she asks if I have cash. I don't know about you, but I don't carry nearly $100 cash on me. She then proceeded to say the machine has been down for a while because the new company won't fix it. As a result, they were writing people's names, numbers, and card numbers down in a notebook. I was shocked. Why didn't they tell me before I even went to the massage table?? She then shows me their notebook with credit numbers galore! I adamantly say I am not doing that. She suggests I leave my drivers license, and drive to the nearest ATM. Heaven forbid I get into an accident, and I don't have my license on me. Shame on her. Finally, I just said, I give you my word. I will not give you my license, or my card for you to right the information down into a notebook. So I drove to the CVS down the road, and used the ATM - Paying the Santander ATM fee, and my Chase bank ATM fee. Needless to say, no tip for this lady. She should have told me before I got my massage. I could have decided then to go to the ATM, or just forgo the massage. Instead she put me in a bind and stressed me out. NEVER AGAIN! read more

I've been here several times. The services has been great, sub par, and okay. Because of this, I started going to other establishments in the area to get massages. They have ranged in quality as well. Here's what I discovered: the massage therapist is the thing you should focus on, not so much the establishment. I've been back three times during the last 3 or 4 weeks. My first time back, I happened to get a massage therapist names Anna. After the first good experience, I've asked for Anna twice (including today) and have continued to have great experiences with her. She will ask you if the pressure is too much. She follows your cues as to how much conversation is needed. She will even ask you if the stones are too hot. When I call for a massage, I ask for her. I will be back again next week. Hopefully, this helps a little. Always pick your therapist. Don't leave it up to randomness. By the way, I gave this 3 starts because of the variance in the past. If I continue to get great massages, then I may write another review with a higher ranking. read more

I will not be returning. Worst massage I have ever experienced. I have visible bruises on my back. Ended up being a session of therapist digging her elbow into by back as hard as she could despite repeated requests for less pressure. I've been here twice now- the first time for an hour long foot massage, which was great- the place seems clean and spacious and has relaxing music playing. This time I went for a 1 hour full body massage- the massage itself was sub-par, not terrible but nothing to rave about, but what really upset me was that the masseuse was texting on her phone WHILE massaging me! It was outrageous. She was literally massaging my neck with 2 fingers and in her other hand she was texting. She didn't even have the sense to turn off the volume, so it was very obvious what she was doing. I didn't mind for a minute, after all everyone has emergencies, but when she continued to do it I lifted my head and gave her a look- she apologized and then put the phone down ON the massage table next to my head! Someone kept texting her so the phone was dinging every second or 2, right next to my head! I had to ask her to turn off her phone!! It was very unprofessional, aside from strange things about the massage (massaging my face without any cream, not moving the bump to under my knees when I flipped over so my knees were painfully hyperextended).
