What can I say, I used to like this place. I was a patient for years, before the pandemic. After my most recent visit with Hamlin, they somehow forgot to schedule an important follow up appointment. Instead they arranged an unnecessary consultation with their orthodontics. I waited 2 weeks for nothing. To have my time wasted & my family rearrange their schedule just for a useless appointment was bad enough. To add insult to injury, I can't forget to mention the painful cleaning, which wasn't thorough, btw. The inside of my mouth, far from my teeth, down about a centimeter, is still healing from the snagging of the tissue. Very sloppy routine cleaning. I went home & flossed, then gargled with salt water. Still healing! They're very disorganized, and it seems like there might be some discrimination happening over there. Too bad. read more

Dr. Medina please be more respectful & courteous to your patients. I had an appointment at 4pm for a simple wisdom tooth extraction consult. The office calls me and asks if I can come in earlier so I get there at 3PM and I am waiting for nearly 2 HOURS! After sometime in the waiting room I speak up and I am placed in a patient room where I wait for another half hour. No one has communicated with me so I get up and get help. Dr. Medina proceeds to gaslight me as if I am some "angry for no reason patient". I explain that I've been waiting since 3pm and instead of apologizing she has the audacity to say "your appointment was actually for 4pm, would you like to be seen or do you want to leave" umm ACTUALLY lady your staff asked me to come in early and I confirmed with them if it was okay. I state again that I've been waiting for almost 2 hours and I want to be seen this is ridiculous! She says "well i have bad news for you so go ahead and just have a seat". She says this in the PUBLIC common area in front of people. She violated my HIPPA rights by giving patient information. We clearly had a back and forth because she was disgustingly unprofessional. The staff also wears the same PPE gowns in and out of all patients room and it's very unhygienic. Tambien me recomendo ver a un pedodontist y la chica de enfrenteNathalie me dijo que iban a mandar la autorizacion a mi aseguranza, pero un mes despues le pregunte que habia pasado con mi autorizacion y me dijo que la aseguranza no me cubria el especialista, y que si queria ver a su especialista tenia que pagar $ 80 solo por la consulta. Yo despues llame a mi aseguranza y me dijeron que si me cubre el servicio con el especialista. Cuando e dije a la recepcionista la respuesta de la aseguranza me dijo que lo que pasa es que me iban a mandar a Western Dental y nadie quiere ir ahi.Yo le dije pero al menos me tienen que hacer saber las opciones que tengo y yo decido si voy a Western Dental con la cobertura de mi aseguranza o si decido pagarle al especialista the Hamlin Dental los $ 80. Despues de eso yo hice una cita para ver a la dentista y un dia antes de la cita que tenia con la dentista general me llaman para decirme que la cita esta cancelada ya que la aseguranza no me cubre ir HAMLIN DENTAL y despues de nuevo tuve que llamar a la aseguranza y ellos mismos llamaron a mi dentista y finalmente me dieron una cita y la misma historia un dia antes me llaman diciendo que mi aseguranza me cambio de dentista lo cual no es cierto. Con mi aseguranza dental no necesito ser asignada a una oficina puedo ir a donde yo quiera. Mi advertencia siempre consulten con su aseguranza primero lo que le dicen las muchachas de enfrente. I went to Hamlin Dental Group because of the good reviews thinking that I was going to be seen by dentist Reza, Koshkarian or Vafadar, but when I got to my appointment I was seen by a young dentist whose name I don't remember. After having a cavity fixed and a general cleaning, I had to go back to the dentist twice because I had pain where she had fixed the cavities. She also recommended that I see a pedodontist and the girl in front of me told me that they were going to send the authorization to my insurance, but a month later I asked her what had happened to my authorization and she told me that my insurance did not cover the specialist and that if I wanted to see her specialist I had to pay $80 just for the consultation. I then called my insurance and they told me that they would cover the service with the specialist. When I told the receptionist the answer from the insurance company, she told me that what happens is that they were going to send me to Western Dental and no one wants to go there. I told her but at least they have to let me know the options I have and I decide if I go to Western Dental with my insurance coverage or if I decide to pay their specialist the $ 80. After that I made an appointment to see the general dentist and a day before the appointment Nathalie called me to tell me that the appointment is canceled since the insurance does not cover me to go to HAMLIN DENTAL and then again I had to call the insurance company, and they themselves called my dentist and finally they gave me a new appointment. A\nd the same story a day before they call me saying that my insurance changed my dentist which is not true. With my dental insurance I do not need to be assigned to a dental office I can go wherever I want. My advice is to always check with your insurance company first, what the girl at the front desk is telling you. I consider them to be a dishonest dental office based on my experience. read more

Today I was scheduled for an implant to put a crown on. I was supposed to see the specialist and he was busy so they ended up giving me Dr.Reza (normal dentist). He tried to measure my mouth and he failed to do it 2 times as I was in excruciating pain. I kept telling them I was in pain and had trouble breathing and he kept saying we have to try again. I felt as if he was careless. Never recommend coming here for anybody with any tooth problems or even a simple check up. read more

She explained every step before doing so, so you knew exactly what was going on and what to expect before taking place.i followed her regimen for controlling the pain for afterwards and guess what??? Since choosing Hamlin dental group for my dental needs, I have been very pleased with the service in the front office, as well as my dental care from the Dentist. Nora in the front office is always a delight to work with she explains everything to you about insurance and keeps up on any authorizations. They are on top of my upcoming treatments and keeps a close eye on what is available to me by insurance such as cleanings etc. I feel like they really care about the health of my teeth and me personally as a patient. For a dentist's office that accepts medical, from the dentist to the receptionist and everyone in between is extremely helpful, professional and the dentist himself is incredible with how quickly and flawlessly he does his job. As nervous as I tend to get because I've had too many terrible dentists treat my mouth like a construction zone, I can't even tell when he gives me the shot and when he finishes working on two teeth at the same time. Waited for 2 and a half hours in the waiting room after my appointment time, then when I asked about being seen they put me in another room for 45 minutes. To make matters worse they had someone else's X-rays up on the monitor the whole time with the other patients information on it. It's a scary thought to have a procedure done on you while the person operating is looking at the wrong persons X-ray. Not only did they violate HIPAA, but they lost my original X-rays that I had taken with them over a month ago. So I wasted more time to take new ones. They also had a wasp nest above their main entrance that they didn't care about when I originally told them. They only cared after I warned their other patients about it who would commonly take phone calls directly under it. I've been to many healthcare facilities due to my line of work and I must say this is sad. Luckily, I've seen many X-rays of my body and recognized that they weren't mine and said something, if not I could've had unnecessary cuts done to my mouth. They also have a camera in a hallway facing operating rooms with no doors. If you value your privacy or your dentist not breaking HIPAA laws I wouldn't come back here at all. read more

Wow, where do I even begin? Hamlin used to be my dental office for about 2-3 years. I will say that I had a lot of teeth work done during the pandemic and they were super clean & efficient about keeping everyone' safe. Very good well cleaned and all BUT what I thought would be taken care of back then really wasn't. Unfortunately, the very painful multiple root canals I went through & crowns were not done properly. I ended up needing a crown right in my front tooth & they did it but didn't do it well AND now it's caused further problems for me resulting in now needing an implant. My crown wasn't placed properly way too much pressure & my gums are now inflamed. I went to them with this concern 2 days after they initially placed it. The female dentist ( wasn't the person who originally placed the crown) said it was no problem and that it would go away. It never went away & my gums bleed everyday now due to their negligence of not wanting to fix the crown that was not placed well. I was extremely disappointed and heartbroken. I don't like smiling anymore because of my gums. Now, my mother went this morning because her crown fell off after 2 years. She kindly requested they cement it back & the female dentist couldn't cement the crown back properly which was weird because it went perfectly fine in the first time. Wtf! And they kept telling my mom that she just needed a new crown because of "tissue" all they needed was to cement it back but somehow she could not. My mom was extremely frustrated with the back and forth. So she decided to leave, she received a call not even 5 mins later saying that she had to return because there was still string in her mouth... WHAT THE.. so first of all the crown wasn't being placed right because of the string. I do not underhand how a professional did not notice that and then proceeded was suggesting that a new crown was needed instead? I don't know who they hire or what is going on but that was just an overall experience. It's very upsetting but we will not be returning. And I don't recommend anyone this dentist office. It wasn't what it used to be. Long story short this place just wants to bill your insurance or you. read more

Terrible service from the front desk to the back room. I arrived 15 minutes early for my first appointment and was forced to wait in an empty waiting room for 45 minutes before finally being called. The staff in the back moved at a snail's pace and was rude. While stuck waiting in the chair, I noticed there was mold and squishy table materials around the sink, cords were taped to the walls and the paint was peeling plus the windows were covered in graffiti. The overall state of this place was disgusting. Not a place you want to visit for dental hygiene. read more
