Wow, where do I even begin? Hamlin used to be my dental office for about 2-3 years. I will say that I had a lot of teeth work done during the pandemic and they were super clean & efficient about keeping everyone' safe. Very good well cleaned and all BUT what I thought would be taken care of back then really wasn't. Unfortunately, the very painful multiple root canals I went through & crowns were not done properly. I ended up needing a crown right in my front tooth & they did it but didn't do it well AND now it's caused further problems for me resulting in now needing an implant. My crown wasn't placed properly way too much pressure & my gums are now inflamed. I went to them with this concern 2 days after they initially placed it. The female dentist ( wasn't the person who originally placed the crown) said it was no problem and that it would go away. It never went away & my gums bleed everyday now due to their negligence of not wanting to fix the crown that was not placed well. I was extremely disappointed and heartbroken. I don't like smiling anymore because of my gums. Now, my mother went this morning because her crown fell off after 2 years. She kindly requested they cement it back & the female dentist couldn't cement the crown back properly which was weird because it went perfectly fine in the first time. Wtf! And they kept telling my mom that she just needed a new crown because of "tissue" all they needed was to cement it back but somehow she could not. My mom was extremely frustrated with the back and forth. So she decided to leave, she received a call not even 5 mins later saying that she had to return because there was still string in her mouth... WHAT THE.. so first of all the crown wasn't being placed right because of the string. I do not underhand how a professional did not notice that and then proceeded was suggesting that a new crown was needed instead? I don't know who they hire or what is going on but that was just an overall experience. It's very upsetting but we will not be returning. And I don't recommend anyone this dentist office. It wasn't what it used to be. Long story short this place just wants to bill your insurance or you. read more

My son went in for his 6 month routine cleaning and check up today. He is 8 years old and was so nervous the whole way there. The dental assistant who cleaned his teeth and took his x-rays was so sweet and patient and made my son feel so at ease. I wish I would have gotten her name, she is so professional and attentive. The doctor was incredible as well. We had a lovely experience from the moment we walked in. Thank you Hamlin dental for making "scary dental visits" not so scary, especially for an 8 year old! I usually go to the Northridge office, but I had to come to this one to see another Dr. I was nervous, like I always am, but the staff was really nice here too. The Dr was very pleasant (sorry, don't remember his name). I was dreading getting bad news about my teeth and treatment, but after our conversation and reviewing my x-rays, the Dr. gave me good news! Yay! Honestly, I was already prepared to have to go forward with an invasive treatment. Made a consultation to have teeth extracted after being referred to different locations. I was told from the Dr she was able to perform surgery no issues and to have a couple scans taken. I was referred by their staff a specific locations to take my scans and to request a couple days off work so I can heal since it was suppose to be a big surgery. On the day of my scheduled surgery I submitted by scans to the front desk. I was called inside the office and waited over two hours to have them tell me they can not open my scans. The Dr then told me that why did I choose the place to get my scans. I informed her that I was instructed by her staff to go there. Couple mins later I was told they would reschedule my surgery because they can not open my scans and I would receive a call with my new surgery date. I also spoke up and informed them that I can not be requesting days off and I would have to know if the surgery was going to happened for sure. 3 weeks have passed and I haven't received an update so I decided to call. When I called they informed me that the Dr said she can not do the surgery and referred me elsewhere. Very upsetting experience. read more

I'm giving one star cause there's no option to give 0. But this place is below zero. I wouldn't take any kid to this place. My son has some cavities. We came here once and they sent us to a specialist. The specialist sent us back here. We came at 9 am and since the minute we walked in I got the feeling that they are trying to get rid of us. The doctor pushed us to go to the specialist again. My son was ready to do it, he got scared the first time but after he calmed down he was ready to do it but the doctor had "another patient". And no, it didn't take long to convince my son, maybe 2 minutes from the time the doctor tried to give him the Shot. Terrible place, don't waist your time here. read more

Just finished geting my extraction of my 2 top wisdom teeth, it was fast and easy. They had a roach running around the front desk. I got a crown put on a tooth and had to get it adjusted twice. It's still painful and I can't chew on that side of my mouth. That tooth has developed a smell and every time I go to check up on it they "adjust the bite" and ignore my concerns. When I went to my appointment, I was told, "I'm sorry, we are overbooked today so we have to reschedule you." With a sarcastic tone I had to tell her, "I'm sorry for showing up". With my fingers crossed, I went to my appointment again which was for cleaning. I drink a lot of coffee and didn't make time to clean my teeth for two years. (I know, gross). Dentist Reza didn't even bother to touch my last teeth. When I brought it to his attention at the end, he claimed that he cleaned everything and that's the colour of my teeth and its normal for some people.. Hum..stains, natural colour, normal. Wait, I'm not stupid so I have to disagree with you Reza. Now he's very upset. Forcefully and angrily he's scrapping my teeth. He removed most of the stains I had and of course, he also damaged a tooth of mine which is very sensitive now. He's trying to make as much money as possible. So you won't have your questions answered. He's working on multiple patients at the same time. Running from room to room. My advice to you, RUN. There are better dentists out there. I have been quite the regular at Hamlin Dental, especially now since I have my braces. The staff are really friendly and always call with reminders regarding appointments. Sterile technique is observed during each visit. It is also quite convenient since it's pretty close to home for me. Dental fees for procedures are always explained up front. Anything not covered by insurance of course is an expense out of pocket, but patients do have the right to refuse, especially if they can't afford it. The dentists are really good at following up, especially after dental treatments. I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Reza and even though wisdom teeth extractions are somewhat uncomfortable in general, especially when there is swelling and pain involved, Dr. Reza made sure I was doing okay after the procedure. As far as my braces, Dr. Garemani has done well so far updating me with my progress and explaining my options. No issues so far with my braces. My daughter also comes here for her dental appointments as well, cleanings,fillings, etc. Like most kids, there is some anxiety, especially when the word "dentist" is mentioned. My daughter is no different. For the most part, the staff was pretty good at calming her down, enough to get her through each procedure. The brightly painted treatment rooms with Disney characters help to dispel any fears. Having a tv monitor showing cartoons also helps as well (each treatment room has one I believe, including earphones). Dr. Yessaian has always done a wonderful job with my daughter. read more

I'd had a bad experience with dentists in the past, so I did a lot of research before choosing Hamlin Dental Group. The reviews were good, but I was still skeptical when I walked in the door this week, especially since it was the first time my youngest son was visiting a dentist. Fortunately the staff there were wonderful. Nora, the receptionist, made me feel welcome right away. The dental assistant, Florence, was extremely patient and friendly with my little guy, explaining everything to him so he wouldn't be scared. The dentist, Dr. Joe, was very nice to all of us, and didn't try to push any extra services on us like dentists have done to me in the past. Even though there were other patients there we never felt rushed or ignored. The wait time was phenomenal - about 1 minute. Also, I really appreciated the comfy couch instead of the hard chairs you usually find at a doctor or dentist office. My sons liked looking at the cute murals painted on the walls. I've never had a worst experience during my time of pain and treated like garbage this dental group should not be practicing especially the dentist dr reza who malpracticed on me on two operations gone wrong one a root canal and a full both he was extremely aggressive and I ended up getting two different infections because of it. I really dislike coming to this dentist I don't know if they're always understaffed but it will literally take them an hour to attend you even though you've showed up at your appointment time. Made an appointment two months ago for a X-ray and cleaning, confirmed multiple times, on the day of appt, I go in and am told they won't do a cleaning today! WTF? I was about to leave but she said speak to the doctor, I stayed and got my X-rays done which btw was such an unsanitary and ghetto process! They used this makeshift probe and covered it with saran wrap each time she had to move it around, at whilst touching the room, mouse and chair... UGH! The lady I guess was an idiot too, she took 17 X-rays on me because she kept messing up. At one point I had to use my hand to hold the probe in place-- RIDICULOUS! Chair was dirty, utensils seemed dirty and wash seemed dirty as well.... Just didn't feel welcome from the get go; (it was my first time going). X-rays revealed 3 specks of tartar in the gums which aren't even THAT serious, "doctor" comes in trying to up sell me a deep cleaning package (not covered by insurance)... So stupid, I kept asking if they could just do a basic cleaning (no, we MUST do a deep cleaning)-- "insurance will see the X-rays and question why we did basic"--- RETARD you just told me insurance won't cover it so why would they care what you do to me?!? HOW DO I KNOW THEY WILL EVEN SEND insurance anything?! AVOID THIS PLACE--- they want your money that's it! read more

SCAM. Beware, I went here for a regular clean, which I was told over the phone was $45 (month long special). When I called to schedule an appointment they lady never heard of the special but offered me a reduced price plus initial exam and X-rays (additional cost). The X-ray process was UNSANITARY. I was even told to hold the metal probe. Their process is dated and they used plastic wrap for the pieces they put in my mouth! The lady touched the computer, keyboard, X-ray buttons etc all in between poking at my mouth. After the dentist reviewed everything I was told I needed a deep clean costing $400+ and they wouldn't do the regular $45 clean. Then I was sat in chair and told to wait on the manager who advised I needed $1100 worth of work!! Oh and they insisted I watch a 3 minute long video in between all this by putting on disgusting earphones! Sounds so familiar to other peoples experience. They obviously lure you in with their 'promotion' that a doesn't exist, then prey on vulnerable people that don't even need work done! Place is disgusting. Nothing seemed sterile. Pay extra and go to a legitimate dentist. read more

ALL THE STAFF were extremely RUDE, Dentist was the worst EVER. The place was dirty. what a RIPOFF PRACTICE. Just do yourself a favor go somewhere else. This place should receive ZERO STAR. Nothing else to say about this place.
