Had a 4pm appointment, at 4:25 I said to cancel as I still had not been seen and walked out.This after watching the receptionist sort through a refund because he over charged another customer and he asked me TWICE if I'd been checked in (I guess he couldn't remember considering there was 1 guy in the waiting area). Despite my better judgement, I got into the "membership" a few months back, tried a few different stylists but the quality was no better than any other shop in the area. I bought my husband a gift certificate for a haircut and a shave. I bought both packages and yet it was only enough for just the hair cut even though I bought it from their site as packages. He went in today and upon showing the woman what he wanted her response was "Like that? That looks terrible!" Excuse me?! Then she proceeded to cut down her male coworker in a hush tone about his hair. Then, the real icing here, she told my husband she didn't know how to finish his hair, so my husband finished his own hair with her products! This is what I paid for?! This was not as advertised! Friendly staff, excellent service, and a great experience all around. I recently had my hair cut by Cynthia who did a fantastic job. She took the time to really listen to me and worked hard to make sure my haircut was exactly what I wanted. Today I had a facial treatment and a manicure with Dayane. Both were superb. Dayane was incredibly friendly and the whole experience was unhurried and enjoyable. One of the things I really appreciated about this place from the start was there was absolutely no pressure to join their club or upgrade to more expensive services. So I saw this place being advertised on Instagram a few months back and saw how cool and classy it was, so I took a shot and decided to be a "founding member" once this specific location opened up after hearing it's amazing services.. Fast forward to today and went in for my first cut. I tell you hu-what!! This place was better than expected. The location is clean, has many great products, the layout, and the back room area where you can get a brew at 10am...and the service.... Fuggedaboutit!! I have long hair that's past my shoulder and told the stylist/barber, Jaz, I wanted just a clean up and have my hair washed.. This guy went above and beyond.. he not only cleaned my hair THOROUGHLY, he got a bunch of the tangles out and went out of his way to wash my hair once again.. he didn't need to do that, but wanted to provide the best service offered. And it was.. Gentlemen... do yourself a favor, stop by, get a cut, get pampered and see any of these stylists here cuz they're all great, but def highly recommend Jaz. read more

I will give it 5 stars based on the barber Andre "Dre" and the outstanding customer service. By far, Dre cut my hair EXACTLY like I asked him too! Unfortunately I had to end my membership because it is outrageously expensive! I don't know how and why they advertise this shop as affordable when this is the most expensive shop I have EVER been to in my life! A haircut is one service for $44 and the beard is another service for $44, add the tip and you have paid $100 for a cut! There is NO barbershop in the area that charges a ridiculous price like this! The most I've paid was $50 + tip in the area! I'm a black man that gets a cut every 2 weeks and it would set me back $200 at Hammer & Nails! One of my friends said they think it's an attempt to keep black men from coming... I think that's a stretch but I can see how they came up with it considering how much a normal cut cost! But if the price was more affordable, I would be a customer especially since I could make 1 stop to get a cut and a pedicure instead of going to Divine Nails. read more

Both of the stylists that have taken care of me, Ying and Andre, have been fantastic. If you are a guy like me that isn't afraid to get his hands dirty, works on cars, likes to build things, and prides himself with just being a "boy", then this place will let you continue to feel that way while getting pampered. Booked an appointment today online around 12:30 pm for 3 pm. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted and felt very welcomed. The woman at the front desk checked us in and made sure to ask if this was our first visit. It was, and she took the time to give us a tour, get us a beverage (the green tea with honey was phenomenal), and introduced us to who would be taking care of us. This place was spotless, comfortable, and well-maintained. The chairs were comfortable, the individual TVs were amazing, and there were wireless headphones to use. Mel was incredible! I opted for the Hops and Cedar manicure and pedicure and started with a beer infused foot soak. There was a sugar scrub, hot towels, and massage, and the best part was the attention Mel gave to ensure I was relaxed and comfortable. At the end of the service, they explained the membership options, and we went with a monthly membership. It's well worth it and I can't wait to book our next visit. These women know how to provide incredible customer service. Hammer and Nails is a women-owned business, and going in as a gay couple, we were very welcomed and comfortable. This was my first time in this place for guys. It was one of the best experiences i have ever had. I went in for the Premium Beard Groom and Pedicure and added on the waxing. I never felt rushed, i felt that all the people there knew what they were doing. Tony, did an amazing job on my beard and recommended some products to help me to keep my beard from drying out. My pedicurist, forgot her name, asked me about issues i had with my feet before she just started grinding away. She was focused and dedicated to making sure it was great. My Waxer, although she laughed when she was waxing the ears, it's ok becuase i was a waxing virgin and she made me feel so comfortable. Already booked my next appointment. read more

Tried this salon for the first time. Shawn the hair dresser literally just took up the trimmer and chopped my hair line and messed my hair, where there is literally a line/gap between my hair. On confronting he was rude and started jacking his trimmer even harder where I had to ask him to stop. No one from front desk came to rescue until I had to ask 4-5 times to speak to someone. Then the other hair dresser took it up and was lost where to begin as the earlier hair dresser messed it up so bad with uneven shabby hair. Having saying this was the worst hair cut experience in 30 years of is an understatement. Good luck if you want to ever try this Salon. read more

After coming to this place, all I can say is that Andre is a great artist and you will be happy with the results. DON'T SIGN UP FOR THE MEMBERSHIP, they don't let you cancel it without jumping through an insane number of hoops and then they still charge your card! Haircut and beard trim were just okay. Front desk person seemed bothered I was there. The first stylist's hands were shaking so badly, it was alarming. Two subsequent visits were also sub-par. Not the upscale salon treatment advertised. Worse is the customer service - It's impossible to reach anyone in the corporate office and the local salon staff are not helpful at all - clueless. See below for Complaint filed with Better Business Bureau in October. The salon nor the company bothered to respond to me or the BBB. STAY AWAY! Signed up for a subscription fee of $80 per month beginning January 7, 2022. Called the salon to cancel back in April as I did not feel the value was worth it. They messed up my appointment and seemed less than welcoming on two occasions. The front desk said they would take care of it on their end and confirmed my credit card info would be deleted from their system. However, when another charge hit in May, I hand delivered a signed letter to the salon to cancel subscription and remove my credit card info. Instead, they charged again in June before finally canceling. I went to the salon to use some of the credit on 10/7/22 and they reactivated the subscription without my knowledge or permission. They gave no accounting history nor disclosure to us re: unused fees would be forfeited after 60 days. This seems like a way to collect more fees. Although their website indicates "No Risk to Monthly Agreement", the salon makes it very difficult to cancel and feel this practice is deceiving. If the local salon cannot cancel a subscription, the ability for the consumer to cancel and see the accounting history of funds paid vs fees, should be made available online. There is no corporate phone number nor email address to contact them. The local personnel appears not to know how to properly cancel a membership which has caused stress, money and hours of my time to rectify. read more
