The Bridgewater Candle Company helps feed children around the world. This shop also carries the Farm House Fresh (FHF) skincare line. I love their sumptuous lotions! The interior is festively decorated for Christmas and chock full of a variety of unique gifts like jewelry and items for children. It is a little pricey but not over the top. I spoke with Kelly, who was working at the counter. She was so friendly, welcoming, and sweet and we chatted for a bit. She explained that they also have classes for crafts like jewelry making & candle making. It's something I'm interested in exploring further. She let me know that Angie owned the shop and there were challenges when the pandemic hit. I'm so heartbroken that so many small businesses were adversely impacted. I love supporting small businesses. Like I told Kelly small businesses are the backbone of the American economy. They have a prayer request wall. I submitted a request along with the myriad of requests already hanging. So much prayer needed in these times. I thought that is so cool & gracious on the shop owner's part. What a blessing! You can tell that children find the shop magical! They were awestruck by many of the items on display. Hearing their squeals of delight brought joy to my ears & warmth to my heart. It is a feast for the eyes. It's decorated so tastefully, it's organized, clean and bright. I couldn't help myself and made a few select purchases for gift giving. Don't take my word for it! The service was amazing- they were so sweet and I asked about how long they have been there and she said 7 years, which I was amazed by- she said that they started as a workshop place and expanded their gift shop but they do still offer classes. We can't wait to go participate. Everything was adorable. It is a bit pricey, but I love supporting small local businesses, and can't wait to go back when I need special gifts or just something cute. However, I did note a couple of aspects that I believe could be refined to elevate the overall experience even further. There was a distinct feeling throughout the session that we were quite pressed for time to finalize our pieces. This accelerated pace, unfortunately, limited the opportunity for more detailed refinement or unhurried exploration, detracting slightly from the meditative and expressive potential of the medium. Additionally, while I understand the importance of maintaining a tidy workspace, the requirement for participants to handle the full cleanup immediately upon concluding our work contributed to this sense of being rushed, rather than allowing for a more gradual and relaxed end to the creative process.

It was $60 for the two mugs we picked out. It took a couple hours to paint the mugs, leaving them to be fired that week. It took 8 days to fire and have them ready for pickup and we couldn't be happier with the result! This is a great place for families with kids at least 5. Lots of things that could break so a close eye on the littles is a must. Staff were very helpful and polite. Will definitely be back.

It is a terrific store and very well thought out. Right up front is a board displaying all sorts of announcements, sales, specials, build days, etc. Very helpful, especially to out of town customers. We are really into digging through bulk tables and this location did not disappoint. There are 6 smaller bulk tables with buckets and bags of various sizes available for gathering your chosen bricks. They were having a special February sale where you can fill a Valentine's Day themed bucket for $25 and then bring it back in throughout February to refill it for only $20 thereafter. Great deal. As we were going through the bulk, we saw other customers come and go . We looked around the rest of the store and found some B&M baseplates that we needed for an upcoming event/project, so we grabbed those as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this store. The man behind the counter was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back soon.

Such a fun DIY. All of the hard (at least for me) work is done before you arrive. The wood is cut and assembled, perfectly. All the staff is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is laid back and fun. I made scrabble tiles with our last name and it came with a stand/shelf. You don't have to go in with any DIY skill level. The staff gives easy but thorough instructions for each step. I was slightly nervous, before I went, that my lettering wouldn't come out good. It came out great. I'm super happy with my project and can't wait for my next one. It's been a few weeks and I already have my next class registered for. read more
