I wanted to provide some feedback on the recent clay workshop. The studio environment was truly impressive - exceptionally clean, well-organized, and maintained a very professional ambiance conducive to creative work. I must also commend the teaching staff; their instructional abilities were outstanding, offering clear, insightful, and incredibly encouraging guidance that greatly enhanced the learning experience for all participants. However, I did note a couple of aspects that I believe could be refined to elevate the overall experience even further. There was a distinct feeling throughout the session that we were quite pressed for time to finalize our pieces. This accelerated pace, unfortunately, limited the opportunity for more detailed refinement or unhurried exploration, detracting slightly from the meditative and expressive potential of the medium. Additionally, while I understand the importance of maintaining a tidy workspace, the requirement for participants to handle the full cleanup immediately upon concluding our work contributed to this sense of being rushed, rather than allowing for a more gradual and relaxed end to the creative process. read more

Temecula Clay is Amazing! I brought my son with special needs there. He has high functioning autism. He is 23 years-old. I am his mother and we both had a fun, informative, creative time! Summer, our instructor was kind, patient and extremely helpful. She would teach us step by step what to do with the clay and then go to each student in the class and help them individually. I know personally that my "coffee mug" would have looked terrible without her expert help. My son did everything on his own with a little help with Summer and made two pieces. (I only made my coffee mug) We will continue to go there again and again. When I got home, I enthusiastically told my husband that I had found a new hobby! Thank you Summer! Thank you Temecula Clay! The sucky part everything we made literally had a crack in it or there was a weird stamp somehow. My kids have been taking classes here and now my daughter volunteers here. She bought a 2 hour pottery session with her volunteer hours (sniff tear sniff) for my birthday. We had a blast. Summer, our instructor was fantastic, welcoming, patient, and knew how to demonstrate and teach. We had a great time and I am looking forward to how my creations look once glazed and fired. Last Saturday night I was taken to a couples date night experience at Temecula Clay, Pottery and Art Studio located in Vail Headquarters, a quaint little village like area just off the Temecula Parkway. For the sum of $95 per couple, we took a deep dive into the world of pottery and free-hand clay molding for three hours. The class was led by a young lady named Summer. A truly delightful, knowledgeable, and extremely gifted artist, with a knack for passing-on her level of skill to the average person desiring to create something they will cherish for years to come. The first portion of the class involved familiarization with the tools, and procedures, followed by rules of etiquette and safety. Once that was out of the way, we donned aprons, received are two pounds of clay and were spinning our wheels as our hands massaged the clay. Upon completion of bowls, or cups, or vases, we labeled them, selected a glaze color and placed them on the shelf for firing in the kiln at a later date. The second portion of the class involved freehand work with class to create some of your choice, choose a glaze color, and leave for firing. The class was very therapeutic as well as educational due to the instructors encouragement, the mellow music in the background and serenity of the art studio on a Saturday evening. We will be contacted approximately two weeks later to retrieve our masterpieces from this extremely wonderful and alternative way to spend a date night with someone special. Highly recommend. Purchased a Date Night class thinking it'd be a fun thing to do with my girlfriend. I was expecting some set items to make and having the instructor go over basic techniques and guide us in making said items but that didn't happen. The instructor barely spoke to us and provided little to no guidance, was too busy chatting with the other date night couples about personal stuff, and extremely engrossed in making her own pottery. The first part was us "making what you want" as she made her own pottery and provided zero technique guidance. The other part was a little better in that she finally got up to help us but when my clay kept collapsing, there wasn't an explanation of why or what I was doing wrong or the offer to get more clay - she turned it into a small plate for me and that was it. My experience was over. Tickets were advertised as 2-hour classes but it's really only 1.5 as the last half hour was spent cleaning/washing up everything used while she resumed making her own pottery. If this part was advertised on the date night description, that's fine, but it wasn't and for what was paid, I expected more instruction and less janitorial work. Also took more than 3 weeks to get our pottery but this was after I did contact them for updates twice. Based off our experience, I would not recommend if you have zero experience (like we were) with pottery. read more

Took a fun adult beginning ceramics class at Temecula Clay. We were given 2 blocks of 2 lb clay and were able to use the potter's wheel and create our own unique pieces. I usually love this place. It's the only spot to have studio time within a 30 mile radius, but I feel like I got robbed today. I almost cried paying for my studio time today. I previously went in and made cups with my bestie. We happily paid for our studio time because it made sense and we were grateful to be able to use all the supplies! I went back today to glaze and got charged for another 3 hours. This didn't make sense to me because I have gone in and painted the pre-made ceramics for hours before and have only been charged one flat fee. I did the equivalent of what someone painting a pre-made piece would have done. Just to make this extra clear, if I were to grab a pre-made plate and paint it for 3 hours, I would NOT be charged an additional $40 for how long it took me. I really love this place and would really like this wrong to be made right. I'd be happy to change my review with this issue addressed. The employees are all great and tried to explain the studio time to me, but they just weren't understanding the comparison I was making to people walking in and grabbing something off the shelves. They have no power with price changes so I do NOT blame them at all. I'd love to talk about this further if it's needed! :)) Update: So sad that I haven't been reached out to yet. My best friend went to collect the mugs today (she lives closer to the store) and they mentioned my review and attempted to give a "the price is the price" kind of attitude. It's really confusing how there is zero understanding of the fact that I got overcharged for ONLY painting. If someone grabbed something off the shelves and painted for 5 hours they would NOT be charged what I got charged. How hard is that to understand? I am an artist and I can understand pricing, but this makes no sense. I have spoken to so many people about this and they all agree that the charge was NOT FAIR. I've ended every conversation by saying "I really hope they reach out to me because it's so unfortunate this has happened and maybe it's just something someone has never done before so they will adjust it." But NOPE! Nothing! Please stop acting confused and admit that you don't care about pricing properly. I ONLY PAINTED! But since I made the mug myself (and happily paid for that studio time), I now have to pay for each individual hour of painting. How does that make any sense? I'll be happy to have all of my family and friends write a review. read more

My son is taking a Pottery class here on Mondays. The staff are very courteous. The class is 1 hour and 45 minutes long. He makes a new item every week. They have a Max class size of 10. There's one instructor who goes around and helps if needed. read more

This was my 2nd time coming to Temecula Clay and it was just as fun as the first time I went. This time I took my husband and we had a great time and made some fun pieces we will surely treasure!
