A great activity for all ages & all artistic ability levels! I used to come here all the time as a kid, and I'm so glad it's still around. Upon entering, you get to pick out a piece (or multiple) of pottery to paint. There's so many options and they all have the price listed. I choose a small dish and an ornament to paint. An employee helps get you set up at a table and talks you through what to do. They have plenty of paint colors, stencils, brushes, and various tools to execute your ideas. Came here as a walk in on Friday night with my boyfriend for date night and we had a great experience!! You are able to do walk in hours until close at 9PM which was great for a date after work. The girls working were very sweet and attentive - one of them walked us through the painting process and how to achieve best results. We were able to pick out our ceramics - we found the studio to have assorted options ranging from mugs to trays to kids items (you will not be disappointed). The studio has assorted shades for your painting needs as well as stamps, stencils, markers and paint specifically for detailed writing. There's a service charge of $7.50 per painter (check their Facebook for discounted specials nights) and then you pay for your piece. I noticed by their cash register they have the option to enroll in their emails and you can get half off your painter fee (we will be using it next time! It was a daddy daughter day and my daughter has been wanting to go pottery painting for awhile. I've been here once for a work event and my daughter for her cousins birthday. Brushfire has a friendly staff and a variety of pottery options to choose from. The staff checks up on you often to ensure you're doing ok and if you have any questions. I visited Brushfire with a large group of ladies with the Little Black Dress Club. We were a rowdy bunch of ladies but in no competition with the kid's party nearby. By the end of our visit, we were singing with the kids and having a great time! The studio has many items to choose from with prices comparable to another pottery studio that I've visited in the Nashville area. The staff are incredibly helpful and made sure that all of our questions were answered before we got started, as well as answering individual questions when we had them. I like that when we come back the next week to pick up our pottery that we just give them our name, and they go to the back to get it instead of trying to search for it among other finished projects. This is a great place for small groups or just a few friends . You go at your own pace so don't worry about time . It can get a little pricey as some pieces range from $5-$75 dollars . I got the crazy idea that I could create a piece of pottery about a year and a half ago. After all, the samples in the window were ADORABLE!!! I could do that!! Well, I finally got the courage to dive in and thought it's not as easy as I had thought, fortunately I found the perfect place to have a success story! I special ordered a piece and it came in wrong--there was not even a whimper of an argument--the piece was re-ordered. It finally came in and it took me forever but I found the time to come in to paint the piece. Be aware--it takes hours to do this...especially for a greenhorn like me! The staff was awesome with their help. You can pay for them to do it for you, but I wanted to at least try to do it myself; it is to be a personal gift and it would mean more if I'm the one who created it. So I set up shop and was there...I kid you not...for at LEAST 6 hours!! But I got it done and picked it up a week later after they fired it. Ya know what? It's pretty good!!! I'm really proud of it! It was a bit pricey. As I said, the piece was special order (it had my recipients' name carved out in the piece--plus it came with a light kit so that it can be illuminated) so that was to be expected. So the piece ended up just over $80 including tax. The cost for all of the time I was there, plus all of the materials used, plus all of the wonderful help I got ran $3!! A sitting is normally $6 but it was 1/2 price Monday! For all of the hassle we went through with the item being wrong and my not getting it in a timely manner, they were gracious enough to give me 2 $6 coupons to use at a future visit...I really like the personal attention there--I felt like I mattered!! Another observation I made...since I virtually set up camp there: the diversity of the clientele! There were moms and grandmoms with their kids; there were dads with their kids, there were parties...and everyone was painting! What an awesome activity to do together! I came to Brushfire with a friend recently and we had the whole studio to ourselves. They have so many pieces of pottery to chose from and lots of colors of paint. The people who work there are very friendly and helpful. The awesome thing is that they have painting specials almost every day of the week, so be sure and check their calendar for half off studio fees. I love the atmosphere- they are open late, so you can take your time relaxing and painting. You can even bring in your own food to enjoy while you paint. Just had a wonderful night painting at Brushfire! My mom came from out of state and we wanted to have a special night out and found the Brushfire. First off A+ for customer service, the 2 ladies working were so helpful, patient and sweet. They took their time helping us decide what we wanted to paint and gave us lots of tips to get the look we were wanting. Even the music they played was perfect, my mom and I painted and sang along, this will be a special night we'll always remember. Price was great for everything you get. What a wonderful experience! My husband and I were in Nashville recently to visit our daughter, a graduate student at Vanderbilt. She suggested we go to Brushfire after some morning sightseeing. The three of us happily spent the rest of the afternoon there. Jude patiently walked us through the instructions, answered our numerous questions, and made suggestions -- all this while helping a large group from an office (perhaps a team-building exercise?) and two mothers with babies.
