    Figurines before firing and glazing

Fun date activity? Girls' day out? Or just a relaxed afternoon to take a break from the daily grind? This is the spot! Vibe: The studio is a cozy, creative space accessible to adults, kids, teens, or anyone looking for a break. The studio has plenty of seats for groups of two or more. They also offer a small refrigerator with water and Poppi for purchase. Selections: Each table is stocked with painting supplies, including a variety of brushes, paints, sponges, and water, while a large table provides additional supplies. The pottery is displayed prominently, ranging in size and style from mugs, bowls, coasters, figurines, to ornaments, with around 400 pieces to choose from, so there's something for everyone! I visited during the fall, so they had a great selection of fall and Halloween-themed figurines and ornaments. Service: First, the Brushfire team is incredibly polite and helpful, guiding first-timers through the process. While we're painting, they handle the glazing and firing of the pottery. The turnaround for finished pieces is about a week, but the studio holds onto them for up to a month in case you can't pick them up right away. Value: The basic studio fee is very reasonable; the cost mainly depends on which piece you choose to paint. Prices range from $5 to $80. I chose a figurine priced around $15, and I felt it was quite fair. Note: Reservations are recommended, especially on weekends, since this place attracts a lot of couples and families. If someone is very particular about fine art, this studio might feel more like a hobby-level venue rather than a professional gallery, which I think is perfect for someone like me, who doesn't have fine art training. I loved my experience here, it's a fantastic place to create a handmade gift or a personalized piece for yourself. The studio offers tons of options, making it fun to craft something unique!

Brushfire studio is a super cute pottery studio, where you can decorate various ceramics (bowls, plates, ornaments, decorative pieces). You pay a flat painters fee and the price for whatever item you choose. My bowl turned out super cute, and it's food safe which I appreciated! Pick up was easy, as they hold your piece for 1 month and can also ship it. A super fun idea for a date or girls day as it was really relaxing painting my piece.

Pottery choice is well organized and fairly priced.

Great organization and fair pricing at this roomy studio. As much or as little help as you desire. Good selection of vessels. $7 flat studio fee. Make a memory or memorable keepsake here. Free abundant parking.

A great activity for all ages & all artistic ability levels! I used to come here all the time as a kid, and I'm so glad it's still around. Upon entering, you get to pick out a piece (or multiple) of pottery to paint. There's so many options and they all have the price listed. I choose a small dish and an ornament to paint. An employee helps get you set up at a table and talks you through what to do. They have plenty of paint colors, stencils, brushes, and various tools to execute your ideas. On top of the price of the item you choose, you also pay a $7 studio fee. It takes about a week to get your piece back.

A fun day to spend time with a friend or family. It is great time to be creative and have fun. Lots of choices to create your own pottery. Be sure to ask for help. They have so many tools to use to be creative!

The ladies working there were very nice and they did give me a good lead on where to get bookbinding supplies in Nashville (which has not been easy!). They have a small store dog. I am not a huge fan of dogs, but their dog is pretty hard not to like. This is one of the few places in town that carries Snow and Graham wrapping paper, which is specifically why I visited. Otherwise they primarily cater to wedding stuff, baby stuff, and fancy stationary, but they do have some knick knacks and some lovely imported journals - enough to keep me occupied for a good 20 minutes.

This place is stocked with every kind of invitation or notecard you could possibly need--weddings,…read morebirthdays, luaus, baby showers, graduation parties...it's almost overwhelming. And overpriced. But, I have a weakness for, well shopping in general, but also for fabulous stationary. I've ordered invitations for numerous events here, and have always been satisfied with the outcome--even though my credit card hasn't. Customer service is great--there was once when a few invites had printing smudges on them, and they reprinted that same day and I had them within hours. They only charged me for half the invites too! I didn't expect that. There are plenty of places to go in Nashville to get cards and stationary, and this is just one of the many. But it's a good choice, and deserves at least a look before you place an order!

I've always wanted to learn how to make macarons but the process seemed intimidating and the cost for classes in my area is high. When my friends proposed this, I couldn't believe the value. We had a hands on class where Heather taught us the best tips and tricks to tackle macarons at home. I left armed with a box of tasty treats (that I made!), detailed recipes, and so many great pieces of general baking advice. My baking has improved already. I would have given Eat the Art 5 stars if my experience had ended with just the class. But now that I have lots of time and nowhere to go, I decided to put my skills to the test. I made macarons at home! Heather is obviously an artist and you will definitely want to do as she says and "eat the art." If you're looking for a girls' weekend activity or something fun for a bachelorette party, you will not regret taking a class at Eat the Art!

I had the opportunity to spend three mornings in a row with Heather who customized my learning experience while I was in Nashville having traveled from Cleveland.
