We just purchased a Tesla and needed a charger installed. Tesla gave us a list of names. I tried the first one listed. They called me back, asked me a lot of questions, had me photograph the circuit breaker box and email it to them. After all this was sent I waited for them to get back to me. I got so frustrated I decided to call their second choice, Dane, at Hammerhead. Well, I called Dane, he was on his way home but said he would stop by. He stoped by, look at the location we wanted, looked at the circuit breaker box and said it was an easy job. Came two days later, installed the charger for a really nominal price. I needed an exterior 220 outlet put into our house when we got our EV. I contacted 3 different local companies that were on Tesla's list. Two of them I had to call, leave a message and wait for their call back. Most of the places were either closed or weren't available for another week or two. I called Hammerhead Energy next and Dane picked up the phone and said he will come by on Monday to look at what it takes to get the charger installed. He showed up Monday on time, gave me a fair price, and he said he could come the next day to do the installation. Dane was incredible. Multiple electricians said my project couldn't be done because the permit process would be too difficult in Santa Monica and it would be too complicated and time consuming. After many of these disheartening calls I finally found Hammerhead on Tesla's recommended electricians list for installing home car chargers and gave him a call. Thank goodness I did! Dane came out and assessed the situation...there were a number of hurdles and challenges we faced to get this done and a tight deadline before the SCE rebate expired, but Dane put a game-plan together and worked with the City Planners and SCE to figure out a way to get everything done right, to code, and pass inspection all in time to still get the expiring rebate! It came down to the wire, and after countless curve balls that got thrown our way, Dane pushed through and got everything done! I can't recommend Dane enough, he is not only professional and incredibly talented and driven, but he is also very pleasant to deal with.
