I wanted to get a full, unbiased assessment of the condition of the house so I could move forward with repairs or modifications in a sensible and knowledgeable way. Mike was very thorough and checked every square inch of the house and explained each issue as he encountered it as well as record it for the report. He never seemed impatient with my questions and really took his time. There were a few areas that were difficult to access and instead of skipping over them, he helped took even more time to gain access. For example, there was a crawl space/attic only accessible by a small hatch that was completely stuck shut, even the inspector when I bought the house a decade ago didn't open it (and I am embarrassed to say I bought the house without it being opened), but Mike helped me gain access so he could check for water, mold, or structural issues. He also checked the roof, only accessible via a ladder. He was on time (actually sitting in his truck 10 minutes before the appointment time) and extremely respectful of covid-19 safety protocol. About four or five days later I got a lengthy report covering every issue, the severity, etc. Getting the inspection will save me thousands on getting wonky quotes or unnecessary work done. It also gave me an idea of what will come up in the buyer's inspection down the road. It was definitely a wise move as a seller and I absolutely would recommend him for buyers. He will leave no stone un turned. AND he's a contractor so he's not just checking boxes -- he has the expertise I needed. Well worth the expense.

Doug was nice enough, appeared thorough to someone who doesn't know better. A young naïve woman. I am in the process of selling this house now, 11 years later and let me say there are so many things he let slip. In fact, -story time- I purchased the home in September after questioning Doug about a specific beam. He told us "back in the day (1942) there wasn't tools to make these structures flat" -lie- and it wasn't until we removed the paneling and exposed the beam did we realize that good old Doug blatantly lied. I called him back in the presence of my father, and when we confronted him he admitted that he was just trying to get our agent a sale. Really unethical. He gets one star only for being honest after the fact...what could he lose, the $400 some dollars we paid for him IF I pursued action. Now, here I am crossing my fingers on both hands I can sell and that his negligence and disloyalty to the paying customer won't cost me a sale. Doug should actually be ashamed and I hope at this point, 11 years after the fact, he's retired not responsible for other people's futures in their home selling process.

You see, my mom, hate to say it, can be quite snappy and aggressive and has tested other's patience in plenty a business transaction. Tim, however, never raised his voice, never got annoyed, and throughout the conversation calmly and thoroughly explained each item in the report and addressed each and every concern that she had, which unfortunately as I've seen is not a trait everyone has. Will note of course that Tim did an excellent job at the home inspection being very detail oriented throughout. He also took the time to explain everything to me during the inspection. It made me feel better to have someone as knowledgeable and pleasant as Tim to do my inspection and to help put me at ease. Not to beat a dead horse, but want to say again that Tim's patience, calm demeanor, and willingness to accommodate the concerns of others is an invaluable trait and one that every home inspector should have.

I had called so many mild inspectors that told me all about their credentials. Etc. And others that…read moreobviously were one stip shopping which jeans a conflict of interest. I finally came to Bobby at Ebright LLC. I was exhausted but with others stating that they were mold inspection certified. When I asked to see a copy of the certification, they became upset and said they had a degree in science, a masters in science, retired military but they couldn't produce a certification - their l pitch was more of what the others don't do, etc. but I told him I want to know if you're certified - they skirted the issue with anger until I was flustered and I said no.way. Then I contacted Ebright - Bobby provided information and not fear. He told me to not do anything until he saw and did his testing. In my mind, I had already had the walls torn down, mold remediation, and floors pulled up and wearing a mask - pure fear. Bobby came out and brought all of his sophisticated equipment - moisture measurer thermal cameras - he did a great thorough job and the report comes back the next day - others wanted to add another $100 or $75 to have the report expedited. Others had such conflict of interest, identifying mold., remediating mold, and then doing the work to repair it. All in one is such a conflict of interest. Ebright engineering is an independent certified Mold Testing company. I just bought this place in December and this is my six month living here. I surely didn't want that type of expense. Bobby took my calls when I was frantic. He called me back as expected. He was on time, he was professional and he was knowledgeable. I would recommend EBright ENGINEERING LLC. The report as promised came the next day, and the mole spores were old and not active. There had been a leak 10 years ago and the testing proved that the mold was not active. And even if it were active, I still would use E bright engineering based on his knowledge and his professionalism. The next good thing is Bobby EBright did not ask me to write a review. Many of the other people who come and perform a Service in your home before they leave, they say "write me a good review". Reviews are earned not requested. Bobby at Ebright LLC didn't . I'm writing this review on my own as I'm a firm believer in Yelp more than Google.

Not a single one has topped the level of detail Joe went to. My house that I recently purchased was fairly new, so it was obvious there were not many issues that would be uncovered. Joe still took the time to go over every detail (including finding mis-adjustment in the garage door spring hinge). The report provided was loaded with ways to point out if there were safety issues, things to look out for, and future maintainence indicators, all backed by pictures. Compared with the report I recieved from the buyer of my old home (which is of the quality I have seen 20+ times), this was a whole other level. He was on time, courteous, used shoe covers when in the house, and had the report to me by end of day. I highly recommend his services.
