Doug was nice enough, appeared thorough to someone who doesn't know better. A young naïve woman. I am in the process of selling this house now, 11 years later and let me say there are so many things he let slip. In fact, -story time- I purchased the home in September after questioning Doug about a specific beam. He told us "back in the day (1942) there wasn't tools to make these structures flat" -lie- and it wasn't until we removed the paneling and exposed the beam did we realize that good old Doug blatantly lied. I called him back in the presence of my father, and when we confronted him he admitted that he was just trying to get our agent a sale. Really unethical. He gets one star only for being honest after the fact...what could he lose, the $400 some dollars we paid for him IF I pursued action. Now, here I am crossing my fingers on both hands I can sell and that his negligence and disloyalty to the paying customer won't cost me a sale. Doug should actually be ashamed and I hope at this point, 11 years after the fact, he's retired not responsible for other people's futures in their home selling process.

We requested the photos/video on numerous occasions so we could make an informed decision on purchasing the home. The emails were first ignored, then we were told that he was out of town and would send us the files the following Monday. The business owner sent his son out the following Monday to take drone footage and tried to pass it off as having been taken the week before which was clearly not the case based on date/time stamps and content of footage. To make it worse, our home inspection report was incomplete and riddled with numerous glaring errors related to insulation, electric and roofing. We were forced to call out both a roofing consultant and an independent electrician to evaluate the systems before moving forward with our purchase. They are not to be trusted.

On the day we moved in, I found there was a loud noticeable squeak in the kitchen floor (entire kitchen). Also the front entrance hand rail was loose. These were very obvious issues not identified on the report. This along with a few other items has made me question the quality of the inspection and report that Ted performed and I would recommend these guys to others. Not a single one has topped the level of detail Joe went to. My house that I recently purchased was fairly new, so it was obvious there were not many issues that would be uncovered.
