Right on the beach, but also had a pool--good thing because I'm afraid to actually swim in the ocean haha! So had the best of all worlds! Condo was comfortable, had a balcony that looked out over the pool and gulf, well equipped kitchen, and I could walk to dinner (about 1.5 mile of flat, safe sidewalk) or catch a water taxi and cross to Harbor Walk where there are TONS of restaurants, shopping, water sport rentals (go Parasailing with Boogie!) They have beautiful properties to choose from and I booked Tres Palms with them on Holiday Isle. I booked through VRBO back last Summer before the world fell apart with Covid 19. We were so looking forward to enjoying this wonderful property and spending quality time as a family. Unfortunately, because my one son is a police officer and my son in law is a physician, there are not allowed to take any vacation time. They are needed at work. With travel being what it is, getting there had become a challenge for me also. I needed to cancel after the allowed time for a full refund. I spoke to Willa about my situation. She couldn't have been nicer. She was empathetic to my needs and immediately helped me start the process of cancelling my trip for a full refund. She helped me with the process with VRBO also. We fell in love with a home that Josh was listing agent on and since we weren't working with an agent yet I just called him directly. I was so impressed immediately by his professionalism and knowledge. He showed us the home virtually and then we arranged to make the trip to see it and a few others in person. He couldn't have been more attentive on that day and arrived with every piece of information on each property you could imagine. We quickly decided that Josh was our guy! Turns out we didn't get that first home but it wasn't for lack of his giving it his all. A few weeks later a new home came on the market that he felt would be perfect for us and he contacted us within hours of the home posting. He then arranged another virtual showing (on a holiday weekend) and we decided to make an offer. After much negotiation the sellers passed on our offer because they wanted more time to see what else they might get so we sadly moved on. Josh didn't though...he kept in constant talk with the listing agent and sure enough 3 weeks later the sellers came back to the table. There were several roadblocks that popped up in the negotiation process but Josh maneuvered them like the pro he is. Often seeing options that we hadn't considered. And again, during the inspection process when some issues came up, he had several contractors out to the home within 24 hours giving us an idea of the cost of repairs. His work navigating the crazy Property Insurance situation was also invaluable. In the end, we ended up with an amazing home we are so excited to have. He and his staff made the whole process smooth even in the face of all the challenges that popped up. Don't be fooled by his youth...this guy is wise beyond his years and a true professional. And having grown up in the area he knows it all! His communication and response time is amazing...pretty sure the he never sleeps. On 11-20-2023 in the evening hours while dark outside a neighbor of a Honduran family and I had the displeasure to be approached by a female that I later identified as "April Pierce" of Newcastle Property Management. April Pierce stated that she was the "Property Manager" of a rental unit located on Odin Lane and that I note was newly remodeled. April Pierce pulled up and approached both of us while being extremely rude while giving us extreme grief while bitching, complaining, and started an extended arguement with both of us regarding 2 trash cans and 2 discarded couches. These 2 trash cans were from THEIR "own rental unit" that were placed there by workers of THEIR own unit to be picked up by the City on pick up days. Both trash cans were never moved from their own placed positions! April Pierce claimed that the 2 cans that were partly blocking their rental property driveway needed to be moved RIGHT NOW! April "assumed" that the 2 trash cans were not theirs as she stated that there were 2 trash cans in their garage. April Pierce REFUSED to listen to ACTUAL FACTS or anything that was stated as she started "hurdling abusive and consendating remarks" against me as to being a former LEO and former City Employee because facts and information differed from her own misguided assumptions and MISGUIDED OPINIONS. All of this because April disagreed with the facts regarding the 2 trash cans were from "their own property". Had April actually looked into the 2 trash cans she would have seen a lot of their own unit's NEWLY discarded "retail packing" including retail boxes from towel bar racks, a Multi Purpose Hook (bath robe), door knobs, door hinges, light fixtures, verticle blinds, Hazardous Waste (gallon can of house paint), yard waste etc from their own items. These newly installed item CAN BE CLEARLY SEEN in their rental listings with room to room pictures shown! April argued about the facts of the City of FWB "requiring a pick up REQUEST to be SCHEDULED with the City or the City will NOT pick up 2 large discarded couches. April involved herself into my conversation with the Honduran neighbor that I was already talking to when she pulled up. The neighbor was discarding these 2 large couches that were slightly encrouching on the rental property's "imaginary property line" and were moved slight over upon her request. April Pierce refused to accept that she was ignorantly wrong regarding the TWO trash cans and the FACT that the City REQUIRES a SCHEDULED PICK UP REQUEST for BULK HOUSEHOLD ITEMS. April became extremely rude and belligerent. April wrongly claimed that you do not need to call the City to have 2 couches picked up. On 11-21-2023 I called the City of FWB Sanitation Dept via the Public Works Operations Manager Office while also speaking with the Administrative Coordinator. April was TOTALLY PROVEN WRONG AND IGNORANT OF FACTS! April at one point told the Honduran neighbor to just go "dump the couches in a business dumpster" which would be totally ILLEGAL, in violation of State Law regarding illegal dumping, and subject the neighbor to FINE AND ARREST! You can't make that crap up!
