If there were any concerns with the property, Kim told us immediately. We ended up moving overseas for 3.5 years and during that time frame, we switched tenants. I can't imagine dealing with all of that while being overseas. We experienced minor tornado damage to the property and Kim was on top of it. She was always open and honest. She kept things fair for both us as the owners, as well as our tenants. We fully trusted Kim and never once had to worry about anything. It was such a huge load off to know we had that! She really was such a blessing. We decided to sell the property in 2021 and got teamed up with Donna. Donna was just as incredible as Kim from the very beginning to the very end. She made the entire selling process super easy. She was open and honest about our options and walked us through every step and answered every question we had. We live out of state and knowing we had someone we could trust to take care of selling the property was a relief. From our end, the selling process was easy. We know that's because Donna is such a phenomenal agent and took care of the heavy load of things on her end. Our list of pros & cons. Cons: The dumpster is right against the house so we smelled it every time we went outside. The main bedroom door is broken. Like off the hinge. So it wouldn't close wo us having to walk it to its spot. And the transition to that door is broken. We had 2 children & it could have cut them bc it's sharp. Real joy texted me 20 times leading up to the trip & right before we left. But we had 2 issues while staying & it took them hours to reply. The carpet desperately needs replacing. It's nasty. The mattresses also need updating. They were uncomfortable The washer is so loud. Don't run while sleeping! The parking is so tight. We rented a large suv. And due to their "only 1 vehicle per condo" rule, we didn't want to leave a second vehicle miles away. Our large suv was incredibly tight to park there. Pros: The pool is super nice & clean. We had lots of fun in it. Although the pool furniture needs updating. A lot of it was broken. The beach isn't but a 5 minute walk which we loved & the main reason we rented here. The ac was wonderful. It froze us out a lot & we had to turn it down. And while it's an older outdated condo it was very clean I really hope real joy doesn't filter their reviews & this one posts. The reviews haven't been updated since last summer as of the time of this review. If it doesn't post, I will post my review on google. I was generous in my stars.

The hot tub was very dirty looking as well. Nice unit but the owner would be better off handling it themselves.

Save the headache…read more This guy is very unprofessional I'm writing to express my frustration and disappointment regarding the cancellation of my Destin vacation rental reservation through Airbnb, which occurred only about a month before our scheduled trip. I had booked two rooms for a group trip involving multiple adults and children, and this last-minute cancellation has created a major inconvenience for everyone involved. As most people know, finding accommodations in Destin this close to summer travel dates is extremely difficult and significantly more expensive. We are now being forced to scramble to find another place that can accommodate our entire group, all because of a cancellation that could have been handled much more professionally. What made the situation even worse was the response I received when I called to ask about the cancellation. Instead of showing understanding or professionalism, Brad laughed and made comments implying that the rate I booked was "too cheap" and that there was "no way" the property was worth that amount. I booked the property directly through Airbnb at the listed rate, so any pricing issue should have been addressed internally -- not taken out on paying customers after reservations were already confirmed. After looking through the Google reviews for Emerald Coast Rental Vacation Homes, I noticed multiple other customers describing very similar experiences involving sudden cancellations and poor communication. That raises serious concerns about how business is being conducted. I also want to address something in advance: I've seen responses to negative reviews where claims are made that the reviewer "never booked" with the company. That is absolutely not the case here. I did book these properties through Airbnb, and I have screenshots, confirmations, and documentation to fully support everything stated in this review. This experience has been extremely unprofessional and disappointing. Canceling on families and groups shortly before their vacations puts people in difficult financial and logistical situations, especially when prices increase dramatically afterward. At around 1:30 arrival we had no heated pool, a dirty pool and I called and the lady told me she would have someone come out. We also let her know about door knobs falling off and toilet lids falling off. Maintenance comes out and says he's only here for the doors and toilet and said he will check for us the pool heater but it was off and would be tomorrow before it was warm. But they sure charged us?! The pool was never cleaned and still 6 hours later no clean pool. Trash outside around pool. I called about the house because nobody should have to give such hard earned money and drive that far with little kids to have a nasty house.
