We asked our surgeon to make arrangements for ORA to do the follow-up care. Big mistake. We went to our appointment at their Moline office, and the nurse for Dr. Collazo took us back and told us to sit down, and they would take her cast off. It had only been a week, and her cast was supposed to stay on for 2 weeks. We told the nurse that she was wrong, and she looked at us like we had three eyeballs. When she went to the doctor, he wanted to take X-rays. All of this was in our records that were forwarded to their office. Then she asked, "Have you already had surgery?" Obviously, none of the staff had looked at the records that were sent to their office. Totally unprofessional and a huge mistake requesting my wife's care there. We will never go back.

With his knowledge and guidance, I determined the best course of action for my spine pain and compressed nerves was to proceed with surgery. As a person who is a healthcare…read moreprofessional and has to deal with many phone calls to clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, insurance companies, patients and patients families this by far is the worst office I have to call. Our clinic has stopped referring patients to go to this clinic due to the rudeness of the staff. They are very unprofessional with the way that they speak with other providers offices. If they are treating our staff or any other staff of other facilities so rude then I can understand why we would not want to send our patients there. Our patients have reported to us after an appointment that they have never been treated so bad. It is very sad that their office is ran so poorly. I literally cringe everytime someone wants me to call that office. The receptionist are horrible. I had one tell me that they would not transfer me (a nurse) to billing dept for a patient because she didn't have to, and also told me that she would not explain every little detail to me because this was not her job as they had already explained to patient what they wanted. I was trying to help the patient but they would not even let me talk with the billing department. This is an ortho office that is dependent on patients who come to their office. It is obvious that this office does not have patients in mind when dealing with them and frankly they must not care about their doctors and PA or NP reputation because they cause a lot of people to leave the practice. It is sad to me that the front office gives the patient the first impression when coming in or calling the office and I will never be a patient in this office nor will I ever suggest this office. I will continue to tell patients to go else where and this is only due to the way they have treated myself as a healthcare professional who does the same job they do. Good luck with success Midwest Ortho, you may want to re evaluate who is talking to fellow providers and patients if your wondering why your not busy.
