My mom was here from Tustin to help me with my kids and got a huge screwdriver in her tire on Foothill. She called AAA and Ray called her saying he would be there in 14 min. Not only was he prompt but SO AWESOME! He put her spare tire on the small "donut" and explained it wouldn't be safe to drive home on it. So he offered to tow her! This was at 5:55pm and he was off at 6! What an angel in disguise that he got her home safely! I wish this world was filled with more people like Ray! read more

Called at 2am in the morning because I got a flat tire right next to the 91 freeway in Corona. I asked for the price and receptionist (horrible attitude/already seemed annoyed) told me the initial price was $79 dollars. Then she changed her mind and raised the price up to $110 (because I pulled off next to the freeway). I decided to look at other towing places to compare the price. I called again, this time my friend was calling and the same receptionist told my friend the price was $120. When my friend questioned her about the initial price being $79 and $110, she replied rudely saying "FINE WE'LL KEEP IT TO $110." We told her our location. Surprisingly, she stated "I'm sorry you guys are way too far for us to reach. We are not willing to drive that far. Goodbye." Please Do Not Ever Call This Company. They Will Definitely Try To Rip You Guys Off. Especially The Fact That They Don't Have A Set Price For Their Services. Very Unprofessional. Very insensitive to their customers! Hamner had me waiting on the side of the road for an hour after they called and said that although I was out of their area, they would still send their driver to help me. After 45 min, I called back and they told me that they weren't sending their driver at all, and they would call aaa to call another company. Its amazing that a company like this is in business. WOW! these guys were great. I lost my drive shaft and transfer case on my Jeep four hundred miles from home and they got me sorted out. Lorin (cool dude) hooked up my jeep and trailer and even went out of his way to help me look for my drive shaft on the freeway. Price was the same as everyone else but the service was priceless. I don't live in Corona, and neither does my boyfriend. However I had to write this review because of the AMAZING service we got this last Friday night at about 10:30pm. (4/10/15) En route to a big party, my boyfriend's engine belt blows out. Power steering lost and we pulled over to the nearest gas station and we call our insurance. Upon arriving the guy inspects the car and says that they'll have to tow us. After waiting a while, the guy pops the trunk and realizes we have somewhere to be from all the alcohol in our trunk (LOL!) He and the tow trunk guy come and take our full car of people as well as the car itself to the party. The tow trunk guy is working graveyard shift so around 2 am we call back and he takes us home too. The guys were both great company and we had a great time. They were extremely courteous and hands down the best time we've had in needing to be towed. 5 Stars and props to these guys for being plain awesome. read more

My car wouldn't start. I called AAA and tbey were able to send someone out to look at it. The technician wasn't sure, because he is only able to do so much testing outside the shop, but suspected it was the alternator. He tried to call his manager, but he was out at lunch. Later, when I called to speak to the manager, I was able to get ahold of him right away. There were no additional hoops to jump through. The manager kept me updated the whole time. Turns out it was my battery and it was still under warranty. Jim was able to share great news with me (and on a Monday!) My car was ready to be picked up the next day. I called in when my insurance (Mercury Insurance - Road side assistance) was not helping at all. Mercury put me on a hold and then the line dropped, they called me back and got disconnected. The representative didnt call me back after that. As a last resort I called Hamner Towing - they were quick to respond, gave me qoute over the phone which they stuck with, very corteous, provided us with documentation that would help us get a refund from my insurance company and maintained a professional attitude. As I have mentioned in other reviews I conduct a lot of business in the Inland Empire. While in route to Riverside my clutch went out. Luckily the clutch was stuck in the depressed mode allowing me to stay in first gear to slowly creep into a Gasoline Station and park safely. I am an Auto Club of Southern California Member. I called them for towing assistance. They referred me to an Auto Club Approved Local Mechanic, he was my second call, then I called a Rental Car Company. By the time I was through with all three calls Richard Rawling (I think that is his name) from Hamner Towing was there to tow away my vehicle. He was polite, quick at loading my car (all wheel drive, requires a flat bed truck) and off we were to the mechanic. My experience was excellent service, 5 stars! read more

Usually needing a jump start for my car isn't a great way to start the day but this a pleasant experience. I'll explain, yesterday evening my car didn't start so I decided to sign up for AAA member ship. I did my research on my car and the battery and knew is was about time to get a new battery. I checked the prices for a new battery just to know my options. Then I requested a jump start and they sent Gerry from Hamner Towing (he showed up before the ETA given to me by AAA.) He explained the process and did the preliminary testing. He also had a new battery on hand for the same price I saw at a auto parts store so I knew I wasn't getting overcharged. Had major issues with my car last Friday and needed it towed. The driver from Hamner offered to take me back to their shop after several other mechanics said they could not look it until after the weekend. Their service manager Jim came right out to take a look and I'm less than 10 minutes figured out the issue; the national chain "quick and easy" oil change place I had visited a few days earlier had not put my air filter I. Correctly and it had damaged hoses and my throttle box. Jim was able to get it going so I could get into work, and gave me enough info to get a claim going with the national chain to pay for the repairs needed. Jim was so helpful and willing to assist. The way he handled my situation and even offered to let me call him any time for questions or advice was the definition of stellar customer service. No more national chains for me. From now on Hamner will be my first stop for anything related to services on my car. read more

I called AAA and Hamner changes my tire.I then drove to Temecula and on my way back my tire went flying off. I then was thankful that for my life that because I almost went off the fwy since I was on a hill. I don't recommend this tow company due to after this issue they did not take responsibility and my wife has been without her car for a month. The folks here are very knowledgeable and honest! Great service all around, and I highly recommend them. AAA sent them to me when my car wouldn't start, and after a great interaction with driver Gerry, I decided to have them tow me to their shop. I'm SO lucky/happy that I did! Everyone I dealt with was professional and helpful, and Jim (Master Technician) was clearly passionate about his profession. Turns out, after checking my car, they weren't able to duplicate the problem, but Jim still walked me through the process and gave me all the reassurances. He noted the issue he *did* find (my clutch is going out,) then provided me with even more education, and a reasonable quote/estimate. I enjoyed talking to him, and felt very much that I could trust him. If you're ever in need of service, or just a tow, I wouldn't hesitate to take advantage of their services. I don't write a lot of reviews, but man, this guy was outstanding! He picked me up from where I was and towed my car with care! I used AAA and only had 7 miles allowed. He drove me 8.5 miles and said that I did not need to worry about the extra miles. Essentially, he provided extra service to me for free. Also, he was very friendly and made sure I was comfortable. Excellent service, great customer care, arrive quickly, handled my car respectfully, and had me at my destination earlier than I expected. Don't listen to the negative reviews, these guys are the absolute best! I can't imagine them being bad or charging outrageous prices. It sucks that they have some fake people on here. read more
