Ray J came to pick me up and get my car off the side of the road today! I called AAA and they sent Hamner Towing!! First of all, I was stressed out because I broke down on a off ramp of the 15 fwy and was alone. Ray J called me to tell me where he was coming from and then called again once he was close. He asked me if I was OK and told me to stay inside the car until he got to me. Once he arrived, he asked me if I would want to sit in his truck until he got my car on the truck, then he dropped me off at work which was close by. He was a wonderful help in my time of need. It is a great towing company, specially if you are utilizing them with your AAA membership. However, when it comes to repairs, I would highly recommend to stay away from them. Jim, the service manager, sounds like a great guy and spends time to chat. However, he ends up charging you the triple of what you would pay out there. We've had AAA for decades (AAA uses Hamner either often or exclusively in the Corona area) and we've had non-AAA incidents where Hamner provided service. They have always arrived as quickly as possible, provided excellent service AND their team members are always friendly and go above and beyond. My grandmother had to call to get her car towed to the dealership that recommended this place. They gave us our estimate total and had to wait 3 hours for them to show up. When they showed up they tried charging my grandmother $400 because their service started the moment we called. So $400 not including the estimate that they gave to have it towed. My car was stolen and found in Corona , CA The police would not release it to my insurance company without someone with my authorization to pick up the vehicle. I live in Florida and had no way to get to police station. My insurance company was no help with this problem and I was totally stuck. Unprofessional, Triple AAA sent them and it was the worst experience ever, the first guy was fine, when they sent the flatbed truck, well that person has some crazy anger management issue. He snapped seconds after getting there and drove off. We took our business elsewise, the new flat bed tow guy, different company got a big cash tip for Christmas. I cannot say thank you enough to a particular employee here, who took it upon himself to rescue me from the 91 West freeway after I was in an accident with a semi truck!!! Matthew Hargis is my hero!!! He didn't have to stop when all the other cars kept going around me, but he did!!! He not only stopped and made sure I was ok, but he used his own body to conduct a traffic stop, thus allowing me to safely get my totaled car off the freeway and to a safer location. He came back to check on me and see that I was alright even after going on to his own final destination that night!!! If I could give 0 stars I would. My son crashed our Dodge Ram and it got taken here. When we went to go pick it up the woman at the front desk told him "Oh it was a bad accident huh? you left a white shoe in there." They towed it to our house and got dropped off no problem. Once we began to asses the truck and look for damages on the inside (there wasn't any, untouched on the inside), I opened up the back seats and somebody had disconnected my subwoofer that was drilled in. I called and I got told that "they do not look through cars once they get them, it must've fallen out because the truck probably flipped like 3 times." Our truck is only damaged on one side and there is no interior damage. As soon as it was crashed, the police were there 10 minutes later. It was in their possession the entire time and they keep denying that they look through the truck, let alone opened up the back seat and unscrewed the subwoofer. They kept denying that they even entered the truck when the woman at the front desk knew what was under the seat. Dishonest and unreliable. read more

In less than 10 mins he was there came out was really polite and respectful this man knew what he was talking about popped the hood of my car took a look around and figured out the problem but just to be sure he called up Garry. My car broke down while driving from Temecula to Santa Monica. We were about 70 miles from home in 110 degree heat in a town we were not familiar with. Hamner sent Ezra our way, who was the best guy we could have asked for. He picked us up promptly and drove us safe and sound for the extended trip back home. The AAA company accidentally routed us to a repair shop that was closed (it was a Sunday), so Ezra drove us to our home and dropped my car off there instead. As if that wasn't enough, Ezra went above and beyond as he kindly began diagnosing and troubleshooting what was going on with my car. I don't know much about cars, but he showed me what he was doing and was teaching me along the way. It's clear that he really knows his stuff. What could have been a terrible ending to our vacation weekend ended up being not-so-bad due to Ezra's kindness and knowledge. I just wanted to say that the people at Hamner Towing were amazing. I used them before once last year when I had an issue with my transmission drive train. A couple of weeks ago, I had another unrelated problem with my car not starting at certain times. They initially installed a battery but when I had the same problem, they went into detail and researched and tried to figure out the problem. They kept me updated and was very honest, open and upfront with what the problem might be.
