When I explained this, another receptionist, who was assisting someone else at the time, shouted across the room, "I CALLED YOU AND LEFT YOU A VOICEMAIL!" The tone was unnecessarily harsh and unprofessional. As I tried to reschedule, I also felt rushed into choosing a new date. This wasn't my first negative experience with the front desk, and it ultimately led me to switch dental offices that same month. I did attempt to share my concerns with management, but nothing seemed to improve. To make matters worse, when my records were supposed to be transferred to my new provider, the wrong records were sent. Today, I'm writing this review because I received a reminder text for an appointment on May 8th--despite no longer being a patient there and never scheduling such an appointment. I called the office to clarify and spoke with someone named Molly. When I explained the situation, she responded with a sarcastic tone and interrupted me as I tried to say I was no longer a patient. She made me feel incredibly safe in an environment that usually causes me a lot of anxiety. She is kind, knowledgeable, and charming. Beyond that, she really takes pride in her work and takes the time to do it right. After the dentist I'd seen all my life retired, I had a difficult time finding someone to replace him. I'm happy to say that now I have. Dr. Lachowiez will be my dentist from now on. Dental work is expensive, but they go over the entire breakdown of costs with you so there are no surprises. I am now a patient of Dr. Cousins, and the service and care I've received are nothing short of exceptional. A previous provider led me to believe that fixing my dental issues would be difficult and cost-prohibitive, which made it far easier to drift into inaction. Eventually, I was too afraid and embarrassed to speak to any dentist for a second opinion, and I trained myself to smile with my mouth closed to conceal the more obvious problems. I can't believe how fortunate I am to have lucked into finding this practice during a time of crisis. Dr. Cousins puts patients above the bottom line. He is compassionate, non-judgmental, and attentive to patient comfort. He will not perform procedures that might cause avoidable pain (ex: he sent me home in advance of one procedure to allow extra time for an infection to heal fully). He has a calming demeanor and invests in tools that make for better and faster procedures. Let me tell you. My regular dentist has insisted for years that a sensitive tooth is "all good". I…read moreneeded a second opinion and Yelp lead me here. From the moment I scheduled on the phone (they got me in within 2 days), to the waiting room (I waited 10 min max), to the dentist and pictures, I was completely impressed. The dentist (the youngest guy) listened to everything I had to say, joked with me and reassured me they'd figure out the problem. Coming from a "traditional x-ray" place, I was amazed at the technology here with digital images of my mouth that I COULD SEE and the 3D imaging of my entire mouth that he let me look at. The hygienist was also very nice although she didn't need to do much in my case. The dentist poked and prodded to help pinpoint the problem. In the end, I left pissed at my previous dentist as I now need a root canal (gasp! My first dental work in 30 years!) Now, at one point in my life my dad made me wear a mouthpiece to protect my teeth during everything. They were the most prized family possession: all those trips to the ortho, turns of the key to widen the jaw, retainer after retainer. A ROOT CANAL on the family treasure?! I was terrified despite being a regular and generally loving going to the dentist. The day of the procedure he reassured me of my feelings, "yep, they are no fun," and proceeded to start. As far as root canals go, I think this one went pretty well. They seemed very thorough and knowledgeable on the RC. The molar took a little over 2 hours, including getting the final crown (which they make at the location during the procedure). Total cost before insurance was about $2k. I immediately made an appointment for my next cleaning and gave a big finger to the previous dentist!
