I'm from Michigan I'm came to Chicago for the first one booked a reservation with this hotel and got 2 rooms for 2 adults each and the smell in there was like mold in both rooms they argued to switch us to another room and they did not give us our money back. OMG this place is scummy and creepy. The first thing I saw when I went to the desk was pornography and sex toys that they sell. I didn't however see anyone working at the desk until about 10 or 15 minutes after I got there. I shudder to think what he was doing. The room was absolutely atrocious! Cold as hell...The bed had a rock hard mattress and I could feel every spring inside of it. (I can only imagine what I'd see with a florescent light.) It smelled like sweat and old socks. This is, by far, the worst hotel I've every stayed in. The owner forced me to park on the street a 1/4 mile away because my van leaked oil. I might've accepted this if the room was decent and I didn't find roaches in my room from the very first day. These people have no clue about what customer service is. I was kicked out for "having too much stuff"... as if I brought the roaches with me! The whole place was roach infested! They talk about all the famous people who have stayed there, but it must have been decades ago, before it was a no-tell motel. The advertised pictures of the rooms are a joke as well as the TV/Cable/Internet services with less than 30 channels and intermittent connection stability. The heat works on a boiler system and sometimes didn't work---here in CHICAGO! When it does work, the floor is so hot that you can't walk on it. Owners do not bother reinvesting in this motel. So, the stupid owner wanted to take me to court for harassment, guess it did not work, because their was a counterclaim regarding bed bugs which Blue Cross Blue Shield had to pay for, basically to put insecticide to put on me..and the stupid idiot did not even show up at court. This place is a dump and should be illegal for them to run this place. Their's mold growing in the shower rapidly, they don't clean the rooms, head board on bed packed with dust, walls are dirty, Broken blinds they even have duct tape on them lol ac unit falling apart, remote for old fuzzy tube TV doesn't work, smoke detector covered with a plastic bag for some reason, very stained carpet from a flood or something and the odor is constantly their, microwave works very slow took 30 minutes to warm a cup of water it was on the highest level. Etchy comforter as well as ugly on the bed. I rented for 7 days but didn't stay much and on day 7 was going to check out, but they said I couldn't get my deposit back because I didn't pay for next weeks rent by 11am today, but the room was still paid for, for that day. Been here for multiple weeks so I have a real clear picture on this place. Not seeing what Jackie H saw as far as the sex toys and porn at front desk. However this place leaves a lot to be desired. First things first, no one that works here understands English very well so explaining simple things like "Can I use the vacuum" is like beating yourself in the head with a hammer. There is a laundry facility area available that the new ownership can't agree on the lock code to get in so they just ripped the lock off. They have air conditioner units which don't double as heat like most motel units would, the rooms have about 1/8 inch thick indoor outdoor carpet like a patio. Hot water is almost non existent unless you shower at about 3 am. The fact that these rooms are flexicore "Cement" flooring and Cinder block walls you would think it would be quiet at least. Instead I know more about the people around us and there domestic relations cases that will be coming up soon than if they were to go on Maury and Jerry in the same day. Almost everyone here from the conversations was recently let out of county for one thing or another, and then there are the "Cottage Rooms" on the ground level that are the 4 hour fuck houses. We came here because my wife was offered a good job not far away but we are having a problem finding an apartment that wants to rent to us with a poor credit score and a FALSE eviction. So for right now we are making due till we can find something else. The Wifi here because of the Cement everything is spotty at best, I even installed my own repeater to pick it up better and while that has improved it, it's not near good enough for streaming or anything that requires constant connection. Went for an entire week with no connection at all because the management doesn't get that the 20 channels of directTV they do offer all suck and no one wants to watch anything on them. When Tru-Tv is your best channel you have viewing problems. Additionally Channel 26 is solid 24/7 hardcore porn, so as you click through the channels you have to make sure no one is in the room that you don't want seeing that. No pass code or V-Chip setup. Fox 32 has no audio whatsoever so forget watching football, CBS is more scrambled looking than when you were trying to watch porn on an old dial cable box back in the 80's. So if you don't have unlimited data on your phone to watch Netflix or something this place sucks in that aspect. The housekeeping here is a total joke, they are more concerned with cleaning the 4 hour cum stain rooms than the people paying them $400 a week to actually stay here. We get once every 2 weeks and all they do is drop off towels and sheets, ask us if we want more shitty skin drying soap. They have one cart to walk around all the rooms with and I had to explain to a guy that doesn't speak English worth a shit what is wrong with the vacuum, they didn't have a Phillips screwdriver to resolve the issue so I was actually asked to fix it for them, still waiting on them to show up here. Promise I will get nothing for it if I do fix it, but that being said it's a cheap vacuum you would buy at Walmart for $70 not a commercial vacuum at all. Sad part is that this place has the potential to be awesome, I can see it. If I were running it I could turn this whole place around very quickly, However I don't know any investors that would put the capitol up front as I would offer an excellent return. Ironically this is not only an offer to anyone out there who would invest, but I would love to do it. I could have this place as a high end Bed N Breakfast in 6 months. Right now it's more like a Trucker stop to bang hookers and hope for the best which this particular location could do so much better. read more

I rented a room for a week, they only accepted cash up front with a cash deposit also. No problem, just that kind of place. Uncomfortable/dirty: The bed was wrapped in plastic and had a bed sheet over it. The sheets had a "weekly" stamp on it, meaning they only washed the sheets once a week (same with towels). Everything felt oily, especially the couch. I sat on the couch with shorts and a t-shirt, and the back of my legs/arms immediately started to itch and my skin and clothes were covered with oil. Disgusting. TERRIBLE customer service: I checked-in around 10pm. The fire alarm was beeping every 10-15 seconds (low battery). So I went to the office to tell them of the problem, and the guy annoyingly told me that there's nothing he can do about it now because no maintenance is there. All he can do is put in a maintenance request for the next day. I asked him to just give me a new battery, and he said he can't. He doesn't have any and I just have to put up with the beeping. Worst, anxiety-filled, night of sleep. "Beep... beep... beep..." all night. So I called the manager the next day and asked if I could get a credit for that night and she said, "no way!" Horrible attitude. No apologies at all, more of an accusatory tone. Told me that it was my fault for checking in late. I told her I never heard that before, and if it was a problem, they should've told me at check-in. Told me I should've just taken the battery out. I told her that the alarm is hard-wired into the electricity and the battery is there in case the power goes out so taking the battery out makes no difference. Told me that I should've taken the wires out. Really?? It's my fault/responsibility to take out the wires from the alarm attached to the ceiling? She said that there's nothing she can do. I asked if she could take a battery from a different room that's not being used and she said, "absolutely not." I come back at around 10pm again after work and the fire alarm is STILL beeping. I went to the office and they said they forgot to put in the maintenance request. I told them that there is no way I can sleep another night with the beeping, and she just kept telling me there's nothing they can do and I can leave if I like. She literally told me that their business would be fine with or without me as a guest. I asked that if I went to buy a battery myself, if they would at least reimburse me for that. She said probably not but that she would check with the owner. I bought a battery myself and replaced the battery in the fire alarm. Stayed there that night, and woke up to a note on the door that said that the owner had been contacted and "NO refunds/credits will be given." The word "NO" was in bold and capitalized. Jerks. So I went to check out, said my "pleases and thank yous" and was still given a terrible attitude. The manager just kept mumbling, groaning, and definitely was not saying any, "sorrys or you're welcomes." Absolute worst experience ever. read more

The front desk staff were rude and shifty, and they had a pornographic DVD on display behind the window. Our room reeked of gas from the stove when we walked in. The lamp attached to the nightstand obstructed the grainy television. The free Wi-Fi did not work at all. There was mold in the bathroom, showering caused brown condensation to form and drip from the ceiling. We were told that our room is heated through the floor below, when in fact the heating was virtually nonexistent. We borrowed a portable heater from a friend for the second night, and after we woke up the bed was crawling with bed bugs. They refused to give us a refund for the rest of the week until they called the police over, but it has yet to show up in my bank account (thankfully I have a receipt). Stay far away. read more

MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER! First we called and the owner was rude when I asked questions about the rooms. I have had friends go there and leave with bed bug bites on multiple occasions. But I heard they where supposed to be renovated recently but that was a lie. So when I went there it was hard to hear him through the window. So I asked him to repeat the information I was asking for. Like how much the room would cost and the checkout time. He became very hostile and told me to leave the premises. I then asked why I was being kicked the premises for asking a few simple questions. He then picked up the phone and started to call the police saying that he was going to tell them that we where on "meth" and that was a complete lie. Then as we where waiting for the police he said that he was going to take out his gun and shoot me and my boyfriend if we don't leave immediately. So we ran out of there fearing for our safety. This is the absolute worst place you can ever go to! Don't even waste your time giving your buisness to someone like that! It's not even worth risking your safety to go here. read more

Rented once and it was okay. Rooms are smelly and not updated but I needed to rest after work so it was w.e. I came back at 730 am and rented again another day to sleep a few hours and the lady asked me if I wanted overnight or just 4 hours I said overnight. I said overnight so I was charged overnight price. A few hours into my sleep front desk calls saying check out is at 11. I explained I had just rented the room and he said well she must've made a mistake you have to choices either stay until 2pm or if you do as you please we will put you on the do not rerent list. I replied I did not pay 70 for just a few hours that defeats my purpose of resting. I work 2 jobs and needed to sleep a few hours in between. He said well if you're going to hold a gun to my head and do what you want and I cut him off then I heard him tell someone next to him put her on the do not rerent list and said I don't care I will stay until 2 but that I would call the health department because this room is dirty..mildew on the ceiling, ceiling bulges a bit, mildew in the toilet as well not cleaned etc and I have pictures. They are very rude and want to get over on people saying well check in is at 4 pm.. But if a tourist comes at 8am rents a room he can't go in until 4 pm? But then check out is at 11 so he is renting at 8 am to check out at 11am not even making it to check in? That is why their website is so limited and they don't even put the prices up that way you come and waste your time & money. I go up front to check out & I ask the clerk if he was the one who had called me earlier he said no that it was the boss. I asked if it were the owner of the place & he said yes so I asked for his name and number and he said he couldn't give out that information. I looked around and got his name anyway. Just bad service from certain people not all staff. I do not know how people are saying this place is clean because it is far from it. I have pictures and video. The smell alone is yucky. My & my fiance had to stay there because we were in the middle of moving due to finiiancal problems. Stayed one week in the Ktchenettes,, the matress and pillows were terrible, the carpet was disgusting too. The Air barely worked. At the time we were stapped for cash and my job was in own. We decided to move to the 2 bedroom trailer's they also rent weekly for 250. BUT THEN THERE WAS A 250.00 SECURITY!!! BEWARE!!!! We stayed on;y one more week and it was hell. We were given inspections sonstantly, told we were short a washcloth. 3.00 and than it was a dishtowl...5.00 than it was a spot on a bath towel... 10.00 and they woouldn't even show me the damage or give me the towel! Than after cleaning the trailer we stayed in for 1 week, after I handed them my receipt for the security they laughed and said I was not getting it back OR my receipt!!!! They told me that the small dent in the refrigerator door WE DID!!!! The day we moved in we told the night manager and he said don't worry about it. Also we didn't have a car and when my ride came to pick me up they said NO VISITORS... He was waiting for me to come out to get a ride to work! They said they would call the police! read more
