We were even allowed to check in a little earlier as our room was ready. We had room 207. Room: we had a two bedroom. The beds were comfortable. AC worked well. We had a partial view of the ocean. Our room was equipped with a microwave, a refrigerator, TV, a coffee maker with coffee. The refrigerator worked well. We also had an iron and an ironing board. The bathroom: clean and spacious. Water pressure was great. We always had hot water. The toiletries in the bathroom included shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. The body wash was empty. I did ask for it to be replaced twice and it never happened The pool: plenty of lounge chairs, but not as much shade. If you want pool towels, you can get them from the front desk. You do need your key to go in and out. The pool was nice, but full of children. Breakfast: continental breakfast with hot and cold items. You can get waffles, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, and protein. Cold items included yogurt and cereal. They had fruits, toast and bagels. The beach is a five minute walk from the hotel. There's also a walkable restaurant nearby called the back porch. Housekeeping does not come every day unless you request it. Check out was easy. We did ask for a late check out and were able to stay till 1230. I paid for a room with a King Bed for my wife and I. When we get here they said they upgraded us to a room with a view. Awesome right? We got a room with a view between 2 other hotels. Also 2 queen beds. I'm 6 foot 3. I don't fit on the bed. Hotel is being renovated and was not told that when reservation was set. Noise through day and night. Yes night also. Hand lotion dispenser fell off the wall. The door to room wouldn't lock with being forced really hard. I had to man handle to lock. When we said something to concierge they said they would see what they could do to help. Never heard back. Breakfast wasn't up to par either. No eggs or bacon when we went to eat. Only waffles and sausage. Definitely not happy with stay. We stayed 5 days. Also they took the shampoo bottle off the wall the last night. Roof was leaking on us in the laundry room read more

Parking gets a little full at night, but it's manageable. The breakfast area was a little small and super crowded. Not a lot to choose from and the fruit was mostly old. First thing is the hotel staff was very good, however, the hallway and in room carpets were disgustingly dirty and stained, so much so that the hallway carpet appears to be black. The room carpet was only slightly better. Also, while we loved the pool, there was sand on the bottom indicating that it had not been vacuumed recently. Also lamp over the sink in the bathroom didn't work. And there was no shower curtain so we had to get someone to come up and install one. These are not conditions I would expect when I am paying over $250 a night for a Hilton stay. read more

Pretty decent hotel. The room service could definitely be better as in more staffed. Very nice people but they didn't come everyday or stock you up with extra towels, toilet paper etc. We had to go down to ask for more which did get a little annoying. Chris was super helpful though and helped us book a room last minute for a few nights because our previous hotel didn't work out and helped us out with that area. It's very close to the beach, took us less than 5 minutes to walk there which was exactly what we wanted and it's close to a few spots to eat. Breakfast is included and it's decent breakfast. The rooms are a little dirty but I'm assuming that has to do with short staff, how fast people are in and out and it being so close to the beach so sand everywhere. I would give 3 in a half stars due to all of this but in general, we will be staying at the hotel again. The room was nice, big and decent. Ok, let's start this off with the first night having to change rooms at 9:30, because the air conditioner wasn't working. When we told them they said ok maintenance will be there at 8 AM. We told them it was 78° in there and we could not sleep with it that hot in there, and asked if they had a fan and she laughed and said in a smart aleck voice "not that I know of" then when I asked if they had another room I was told "no". After looking to see why the unit wasn't working I find that it had about 6 inches of dust built up across the whole top where air couldn't even come out, So I went to the front desk and they moved us to another room. I offered to pay for an upgraded room not to lose my pool view, but got a parking lot view instead.  --Once being moved to the new room I had to CLEAN our room once in it. The smell of the room was horrible. I Cloroxed the whole bathroom and dusted/sprayed down the room. We've never stayed anywhere that the room wasn't clean when we got there, or have to clean the room while on our vacation!! The shower curtain was so musky and had mold on it. This made the whole room stink!. We had to go to the front desk anytime we needed towels or toilet paper INCLUDING the first night we checked in. I have never stayed somewhere that ran out of towels every single day....we when traded out our first towels they brought us 2 hand towels, 2 wash cloths, and 1 bath towel. I said ma'am 3 of us are staying in this room. We need more than 1 towel. She said this is all we have!!! I thought to myself are you freaking kidding me?! We have paid almost $3,000 for our time here and can't even get freakin towels. Once when asking for towels there was a lady at the front desk upset because she had been there for 3 days and her room hadn't been cleaned. --The toilet had mold in the bowl like it hasn't been cleaned in months or longer. We cleaned everything it was just so filthy. The sheets are not Hilton quality they felt like sandpaper, especially after getting a slight sunburn. The beds are super hard. --We had an end room by the stairway, and there was a trash can by the stairway door it stayed piled up the entire week we were there, the same trash for days. The hallway carpet was not vacuumed the entire time I was there. I'm not sure if they just didn't clean anyone's rooms or what because trash was constantly piled outside peoples doors. ******AND TO THE MOST CONCERNING PART OF THE WHOLE REVIEW **** --When we checked in on Sunday I let the front desk staff know I was having a package delivered Tuesday via FedEx. Tuesday morning. (We had to have it, and couldn't get it delivered before leaving home.) I reminded the front desk of the package coming, I was told no problem we will watch for it. Tuesday afternoon I received a notice that the package had been delivered to the front desk. I was in Pensacola so I called the front desk and was told "no we didn't get anything from EX". ( FEDEX), So when I arrived back in Destin I went to the front desk and asked the clerk and she said she hadn't seen any packages. I told her Queenie signed for it, until this point she was barely paying attention to what I'm even saying, and then says "Queenie??! Queenie is my manager she doesn't work today!!" I told her well that's who signed for it, and showed her on my phone where it showed the signature. She took my number and said she would call the day time person, and find out where my package was. I went back and checked with her one more time that night and no progress. The next morning I received a call and asked did I get my package and I said NO, so they requested I come to the front desk. When I got there she was talking to someone else and my package was lying on the counter OPENED! This was a medication I desperately needed and here it is lying on the counter opened. I know packages sometimes get damaged and opened in transit but not this package it had a tab that had to be torn across to open. This package was addressed to me with the hotels address. There is no excuse for my package to be opened when I let multiple staff know it was coming and it was medication that I needed. We e mailed Hampton and CC'd their Corporate office as well. Well, Queenie responded with We are so sorry about the way your room didn't meet your expectations, I will bring this to house keeping's attention. For your inconvenience we are giving you 25,000 Hilton points. Nothing mentioned about my medication, or even an apology. Then corporate emailed and said we see that the hotel that gotten back with you and wanted to make sure the concerns were resolved to you satisfaction. Noooooo, that doesn't meet our satisfaction. My mail just mysteriously disappeared, and then showed up OPENEd. Opening someone's mail is a federal crime, and they're not even acknowledging this, yes the room was gross, the stay was horrible, but they're not even acknowledging the crime committed. read more

Unfortunately, will never stay here again.. Main reason is we could not get the air conditioner to go below 75° in the room. They texted me and asked how my room was my first morning there. I told them that the air conditioner is not cooling down the room and nobody responded or offered to come and check it. The second reason we won't be back is because I found a random person's dirty sock at the foot of my bed. But the most important reason is because couldn't get the room to cool down. This is an exceptional hotel. We've stayed at many Hampton Inn and this is a cut above the rest. Positives: 1) Large size room with a mini kitchen 2) Newly renovated 3) Housekeeping does a great job in cleaning and maintaining the rooms. Our room was thoroughly cleaned. Yay. 4) Friendly staff 5) Offers hot breakfast during pandemic with staff serving you the food plate of your choice. 6) Common areas look renovated and clean 7) We didn't use the pool, but it looks inviting 8) In a great location just a 5 minute walk to the beach and only 5-10 minutes drive to restaurants and shops. 9) Plenty of parking spots and have reserved spots for Diamond Members. 10) They handle the pandemic well with alcohol wipes and alcohol dispensers available in common areas and elevators. Masks is also mandatory in common areas. 11) Price was very reasonable for the service, quality and location. Negatives: 1) Our room was next to the ice machine so we can hear the noise when someone is dispensing ice. 2) Our room is also across a large conference room and would be terribly noisy if the hotel had an active reservation; thankfully, it was a quiet weekend. Plenty of restaurants and the like within walking distance. You don't get fleeced on parking, it's free. For a night or two this wouldn't be a bad choice. I would love to start by saying that the breakfast is on point at this hotel. LOVED IT!! The pool was warm, which was great as well. The staff was very sweet, attentive, and informative about the questions i had about the area. NOW, I would be giving this hotel all 5 stars, BUT I was upset that the beds were old and uncomfortable. Throughout the night I could feel the springs from them. I have to say the hotel should invest in getting more beds. Clean and comfortable, perfect for a vacation where the only time you are in your hotel is to sleep and get ready for the day while you spend the rest at the beach. The staff is really kind and accommodating with pretty much anything. My main complaint is that it has no real beach access, you kinda have to travel up the road the bit and go to one of the crowded public beaches, but honestly, for the price that is to be expected. My family and I came here to stay overnight, and eat in the morning and leave. We arrived around midnight and the front desk was extremely rude to my mother who was trying to show the worker her reservation. The worker then proceeded to ask for her credit card and ID to confirm that the reservation was under her name. While the worker was typing on her computer, my mother received a notification on her phone saying that the hotel had charged her a $245.50 authorization fee. My mother was confused and showed the worker. The worker replied with " I didn't charge you anything." My mother then showed her the charges made on her credit card and the employee said that they never charged her credit card. My mother asked for the room keys and they handed her the card.We got to our room and the air conditioner was broken, so it was freezing. We woke up the next morning (today) and went to eat breakfast. We went down to the first floor and went to the counter. We got plates and walked through the aisle of food and then got our breakfast. We sat down to eat and realized that the food was stale. We tried the cereal and it was very sugary. We left after few hours later and my family says they would not return. read more

Stayed at many of the Hampton Inns in the past but this one was definitely the worst of the ones I've experienced. Carpets and hallways were usually dirty. I requested the room to be cleaned daily as they don't normally. One day they come at 10am the next day we get back to the room at 3pm and still not clean. I call downstairs and ask for some towels so we can at least shower since they Havnt been to clean the room yet and are told we have to go downstairs to get towels ourselves. Finally get towels ourselves so we can shower and as soon as we start they come to clean, by then had to tell them to forget it. The A/C sounded like a jet airplane crashing every time it kicked on. I'd say approx 1/2 the staff we dealt with at the front counter were polite, other 1/2 not so much. Would not stay here again. read more

One horrible experience. First I was charged for parking. On the website it clearly states parking is wide until January 2024. The heater did not work in 1st room. Then no heat in 2nd room. Later, the next day maintenance went in and gave us temporary heat. Then that next day no heat again. The Filipino manager, states, she didn't have confidence in the maintenance man fixing the heater in our room. And gave me some lame excuse about humidity outside. It is 50° outside we need heat. The manager claim she put points toward my Hilton rewards none was ever posted on my account. The bed rail, metal was sticking out scratch my leg. Furniture needed updating. I never received a call from the general manager. This is not a good Hilton property. I'm disappointed. read more

It's an old property. The housekeeping is poor. We found hair on the floor. The toilet is slow to fill after flushing. The washer in the laundry room had a horrible odor with lots of hair inside. I booked this hotel with it stating it was a "king room with a full gulf view" there was no gulf view nor was it on the beach. The hotel had a building across the street blocking the view of the beach. The price has said it was one thing then when I booked it charged me $100+ more. How did the price change that much in the middle of payiThen the hotel said my card was not charged but it had already been taken out of my bank account with showing them proof! When trying to get it resolved for their mistakes and having false advertising I was told I could not get a refund nor would they accommodate the original pricing it had. I was told I had to wait until the morning to find out if I could get a refund or any accommodations because there was no manager even though they admit to false advertising! It's the night of the reservation! I either have to pay for 2 hotels and get screwed over. Or have a ruined vacation at a crappy hotel and paying an extra $100 than I had agreed to with false promises. I'm paying the same price as a room across the street in the beach with a view! I WAS SCAMMED!!! No choice but to stay here. Got to my room 255 and it was so gross! Shower heads absolutely disgusting, dirty broken shower parts, boogers all over the walls and curtains, hairs on pillows and in sink, nasty white liquid on bed skirt and on couch pillows, spilled red liquid on the cabinet next to mini fridge, dusty vents, stuff under the bed, messy closet, dirty fridge, empty lotion bottle in the bathroom, no cover for the lower peephole on door, all the doors were dirty, cord hanging off the tv, etc everywhere I looked there was something! They had already pissed me off with the lies of how much the room was and having no view then I walk into a dirty room! If I could load more than 10 pictures I'd show how gross and dirty this room really is! It's disgusting and then to try and call the front desk with the phone in the room the phone doesn't work! It says the hotel phone number and front desk button were not in service! This is absolutely ridiculous and the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! The only good thing that took away from all of that was the pool and the other guests we made friends with at the pool. The girl at the front desk was nice. This is an OK place to stay if your reason for coming to Destin has nothing to do with beach or relaxation. The suites are decent size, have a small bar area with microwave and tiny beverage fridge, there's also a sitting area and a good sized desk. This is where it stops. The hotel has no beach access. You have to walk to the nearest public beach access. The walk is about 5 min from the front door. Sounds reasonable until you actually start hauling your family's beach stuff, dehydrated, tired, 100 degrees weather, sweating like a ... Having fun yet? The public beach area is a merely 100 ft wide, fenced off strip of sand. You are not allowed on the other side as this is private property. Good luck finding a place to drop your haul. Do not make the mistake and pay extra for gulf view. Imma be as frank as I can here: there is no view! You get to view the condo building across the street. Safe your cash and spend it on a beach buggy to haul your stuff to the public access. read more

This was supposed to be great. Met the manager "Mike" on Tuesday and was given a grand tour of the dining and lounging areas. We were sold. We even bought a round of drinks. Thursday was our day for a birthday dinner at 6pm. During the tour, we noticed several patio heaters near the deck where Mike said that he would have our table set. When we arrived, it was getting colder. We asked for the heaters to be placed near us. The answer was NO. I asked "Kamal" and he said the the propane supplier was having issues with the State and that they has no propane as a result. He was a waste of space and time... asked to be seated inside. He said NO. We were the only table seated outside and it got cold quick. It was a birthday for one of our party. I called ahead and described her for a special dessert birthday dessert because I was going to bring a cake. I spoke with Deseri and even pointed the birthday girl to her when we arrived. She said that they would do something special. I even tipped Deseri $20 for her efforts. When I asked her for the heaters, she said they had none and that the ones on the patio were bolted down. Dessert came, and you couldn't tell the birthday dessert from everyone else's. They could care less about us! The food was entirely overpriced and overrated. The view of sunset and waiter (Robert) were good. Place is completely overrated and snobbish. Our party of 5 dropped $600+ and it was the low point of our week-long dining excursion in Destin. Should have chosen another hotel, but read the reviews prior to our visit and started to trust. I am used to staying in Hilton Establishments and this by far was the worst! When we arrived, the front desk staff Michelle was NOT the most person but did bare minimum to check us in. I know this hotel may get a lot of guest but she did more complaining about her concerns of the military guest being there rather than greeting us warmly. Gave us the very last room on the first floor exit which I wasn't happy about at first. Michelle offered to change it but we opted to keep it and it worked out because it was closer access to walk to the beach. Here we go......Plumbing problems first day. Sink clogged and leak underneath the sink(We had to put a bucket under it to catch the water!!! SMH. Maintenance did come within the hour but his frustration was obvious although he tried to mask his feelings that I had to call. We should not have had these problems for paying nearly $800 for a 2 night stay!!!! $800!!! Microwave was dirty outside. I had to clean. WE received NO HOUSE KEEPING WITH A TWO NIGHT STAY and we were not informed, AC ran extremely loud like a tracker, hotel a bit outdated. The Pro's and Con's as first..... 1. Love that there is a short walk to the public beach access so that wasn't bad. 2. As far as to the highlight of the restaurant "The Back Porch" being a highlight...It shouldn't be because the waiting in the summer time is insane!! 3. Great area if you have teens or kids because there are water/theme parks and activities near or across from this hotel. If you are looking for a less crowded area in way or traffic or people this is NOT the area for you. Ton of Souvinier shops. I would recommend The HarborWalk Boardwalk! We ended up staying here quite back accident, after another hotel messed up our reservations. I booked the King Suite Gulf view, and the room was awesome. While the hotel is not right on the beach, with this spacious corner suite , you can see the ocean. There is limited beach access (just a very tiny plot) within walking distance. However, Henderson State park is about a two minute drive, which is what was recommended to us. They charge for beach access, but the pass will get you in/out all day long. This a very nice hotel for the money, and the breakfast is above average. A bit of a warning, if you stay very many nights, you'll get spoiled to having your evening cookies, and will have to buy cookies when you get home, like we did! read more

Do NOT STAY HERE!!!!! This is coming from someone that NEVER reviews unless asked to do so. We just wanted to take our 2 kids to the beach on our way drop our oldest off to college 3 states away from us. When we arrived to the hotel they added an ADDITIONAL incidental fee when we arrived but stated that it would be refunded within 3 days after our stay. I was extremely tired from driving over 12hrs so I just said okay. Refund Didn't happen. I gave it some time thinking that it may just be a delay. I have reached out two more times , I was then told 5 days then 10 days. After almost a MONTH, I called and was very polite thinking that there may have been just an error. They listened to me introduce myself and HUNG UP the phone. They have refused to answer the phone since. They wouldn't even answer for the representative that tried to assist me and transfer me. I'm just confused as to why a hotel that was SOO FRIENDLY and helpful at first would be so unprofessional. Well, they did give us a DIRTY room that had a strong smell of URINE. I went to Target to get cleaning supplies came back tried to clean it as best I could. I guess the urine was in the carpet. HORRIBLE. But I was still trying to make the best of it bc we only had 2 DAYS to enjoy ourselves. PLEASE Get reservations at ANOTHER hotel that will not SCAM you and will REMAIN professional & willing to assist you and provide you and your family with great customer service. On our family trip to Destin, we chose to splurge on a hotel for 1 night towards the end of our stay. Def worth it!!! We had checked out of a nightmare of a hotel and was ready to go to the beach BUT we didn't want to have to leave our bags in the car. We called Hampton to inquire about early check-in and though our room wasn't ready they offered to hold our bags for us. VERY NICE! The room was nice, comfy CLEAN beds, CLEAN LARGE bathroom, the pool was nice, the breakfast was AMAZING, the hotel workers were friendly. It is walking distance to the beach too...added plus for us! This place was absolutely fantastic. The rooms were adorable with comfy beds. The front desk staff was sooo friendly & pleasant to work with. We got free frisbee and cookies before we even entered our room. The hotel was directly across from the ocean as well as this great sea food restaurant that serves 5.99 dz oysters from 3-5. I absolutely loved everything about this Hotel. They take so much pride in the care & maintenance of their facility. The hot breakfast was so yummy. We didn't leave once without tipping the staff for doing such a fantastic job on it. They made sure everyone ate until they were full & didn't not take the breakfast away until everyone was finished. They even made more breakfast after 10:30 when it closes to ensure that everyone ate well. I was surprised when they picked up our own trash from the tables and even bused them for us. How can you not tip? This place is really a jewel & I love how they treat you as if you were at the Four Seasons. They did a great job cleaning our room during the stay. After calling getting multiple quotes on rooms they were by far the most affordable. We got a lot for our money. Not to mention that it was my best hotel experience. They also don't charge you those ridiculous cleaning fees like the other hotels/condos do. I will stay here every time I come to Destin. read more
