The dirty plunger with dried feces that was given to us by the front desk to unclog the toilet that was backing up before we even used it.
    Tanya P.

This review is from my fiancée since he doesn't have a Yelp account. Sorry for the long review BUT THIS MUST BE ADDRESSED!! Date: 7/18/25-7/20/25 I REALLY WISH I CAN GIVE THIS A ZERO RATING! Upon entering the room (around 4:30pm) my self and my fiancée immediately noticed a musty odor and observed mold in the bathroom (both rooms had same issue) The mold appeared a cloudy black color in the corners of the bathtub and rust as well.(see pictures attached) We had brought this to the attention of Irene at the front desk immediately upon noticing the issue. She said she will contact maintenance to check the issue and I said Ok. Maintenance said they can caulk the area and I said that's covering up the issue and caulking takes 24 hours to completely dry. We went to eat dinner to kill time for maintenance to do the work. 2 hours have passed and no one came to caulk anything. I went back downstairs and spoke to Irene and I said we are still waiting for maintenance and she tells me Maintenance said he's off the property and won't be back till Monday! I stated to her my fiancée is very sensitive to mold and she will end up with respiratory issues if exposed to a least a small amount of it. Irene said Ok here's another room to check on first floor here maybe the bathtub is a bit cleaner. NOPEEEE that room by the patio not only you can hear crazy noise from people chatting BUT the bathtub was worse! I went back to the front desk and told Irene that bathroom is much worse. She said there's nothing I can do but give points to the account. I'm more concerned about my fiancées health issue not points. The same night before we even used the toilet it started to back up when flushing. I went down to the front desk AGAIN requesting for the toilet to be fixed and she said there's no one on site to plunge the toilet. ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW!? I felt like I was being punked on a reality show or something. The guy working with Irene his name is Ben, went to the back office and handed me a unsanitary plunger that had urine drops and feces in a plastic bag which could've given anyone Hepatitis B at this point and he said we had to unplunge the toilet ourselves!!! Seriously??? What hotel makes their guests do their own maintenance work in a room that is very costly and supposed to cover these types of issues!! This was extremely the worst experience ever! We never encountered anything like this before at any hotels we stayed at! On top of all of that my fiancée ended up with bites on her which seemed to be Ant bites and had to go to urgent care when we got back home to be told by the doctor she was bit by a very nasty ant! She was given oral antibiotics and had to cover her wounds with topical antibiotic ointment (pictured were taken), The Super 8 motel keeps their bathrooms, beds and rooms clean and have Maintance onsite for emergency situations! Because this issue has now caused my fiancée to have discomfort and pain during our stay and had to get treated at urgent care due to the hotels failure to address this problem, I am requesting a full refund in the total of $786.93 back to my card on file. I also request that you investigate this matter and take appropriate steps to remediate the mold issue not only in this room but in all the rooms so other guests don't end up in the same situation. According to the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Department of Health located at 7th and Forster Streets Harrisburg, PA 17120; * Hotels have a duty to provide guests with a safe and reasonably maintained environment.  * This includes taking reasonable steps to prevent and address mold growth, especially in areas like bathtubs where moisture is common.  * If the hotel knew or should have known about the mold and failed to address it, they could be considered negligent.  NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL WE STAY AT ANY HILTON HAMPTON INN AGAIN WHAT A HORRIBLE DISGUSTING EXPERIENCE!

Well, our stay was not so good. Check in was smooth but our room looked dirty. The carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed, with white lint and a feather on the floor. The bathroom looked descent and the bed was comfy. We had two queens and our son slept in one queen. His bed squeaked every time he moved. Tried to adjust the bathroom shower head, but the water still wouldn't come out normally. The carpets in the hallways and elevator looked dirty and stained. We saw a couple cleaning carts in the hallway, but never heard a vacuum in three days. We walked to a door to exit to the parking lot and there was scaffolding set up outside so we couldn't walk out the door and had to find another exit. Not only was this a safety hazard if there was a fire, but there were no signs posted anywhere and no one was even working! Read online that there was a renovation here but it didn't look renovated at all. The only plus staying here was The Hershey Pantry restaurant next store.

    Hair on floor

Check in was smooth. Hotel pretty run down, pool closed - VERY DIRTY ROOM. Hairs everywhere, broken shelves. There are hairs in the sheets so not sure they have been cleaned.

The room was clean and neat, unfortunately the shampoo, conditioner and Kleenex was out. Overall, the internet and facilities were very nice. They were in remodeling mode. I believe it will look nice and plan to come again when they are finished.

Welp, my fault for not doing my research... seeing all the previous reviews which match our experience. My husband was in the military and slept on the ground in Texas. Not picky... and hated it. We are all sneezing which is likely from two nights of mold. I've attached photos of the dried pee on both sides of toilet when we arrived. The manager came to clean it as they don't have housekeeping after certain hours. A sign was posted on mirror saying you could "request" housekeeping (or else your room only gets cleaned every 4th day) so I did and they told me they could only empty garbages and do towels. Both ice machines were broken and allegedly being repaired although no signs were posted. When I said my husband needed ice for his ankle bc he just had surgery a few days prior, they said we had to use the one downstairs and basically lug our own bucket up and down. There is no customer service whatsoever or a sense of trying to accommodate guests. Beds are uncomfortable, pool is tiny. What else can I stay besides book the Marriott instead.

If we ever decided to give Hershey Park a second chance (as the park was less than stellar), I'd stay at this hotel for sure.

Just finished a six night stay…read more We stayed in large room. It had two queens and a pullout. There was a desk area. Also had a small microwave and small fridge. The room felt dark-with decor in particular. Breakfast every morning. Had your typical breakfast- waffle maker waffles, cereal, bagels, eggs, a breakfast meat, yogurt, fruit, juices. They also had coffee that was out 24/7. Has a small indoor pool and a nice exercise room. Hershey Park during summer months have concerts that you can hear from the sound from your room. So if you go to bed early this may be an important factor. Rooms didn't really have a refresh. I was lucky if trash was taken out and we got new towels without asking. Not a bed made once. I miss those days of coming back to a nicely made bed. I guess those days are long gone? Also, the week we were there lots of kids which were running around the lobby like it was a playground. Overall my stay was okay. I might book here again if I was in the area but I would also consider a different spot as well.

I would like to preface this review with the fact that I have been in service my entire life,…read moreincluding managing a hotel myself. I currently work for American Airlines at the Charlotte Douglas Airport. The front desk agent Matt - caused me to walk away from a prepaid reservation and pay to stay at the Hilton Hershey property instead. Which was amazing, by the way! I had a reservation for 6/15, and had called the week before to reconfirm an early check in. After working my 8-9-hour shift, I drove over 7 hours straight to Hershey PA to take my elderly mother to a concert at Hershey Stadium. Once arriving at the Fairfield, Matt brusquely replied that I did not have a reservation. I explained to him that a Marriott Vacation Club Member had gifted me the room and it was registered in my name as well as theirs. He then "found it" and told me there would be no early check in although I had confirmed, and I would have to wait until after 4pm. Mind you it is 11am, and at this point I have been awake well over 24 hours and am feeling faint. He was so nasty, I took a step back to take a calming breath. He was then so rude to the next lady (in front of her children as well) that she exclaimed "is this how you treat Marriott Bonvoy Members? WOW!" I knew I was unable to reason with this individual, and I was too exhausted to escalate the issue. So, I simply left and took my business elsewhere. I called today after some thought on the matter, hoping to give grace, and it was Matt who answered the phone. He was disdainful, snide, would not provide me with the GM's name or email and disconnected the call. I called Marriott Bonvoy myself and got the information I needed. Matt is ABSOLUTELY NOT the person Guests should EVER see and interact with upon entering a Marriott property. A welcoming smile and spirit of kindness is necessary in our industry. Matt has none of these qualities. Like I relayed to Corporate, Matt is most definitely a cause of loss of revenue for this location. On a more positive note, Zira and Melisa at The Hampton Inn Hershey saved the day! Highly recommend!!!

It's your familiar Courtyard experience, just with a lot more chocolate nearby. The location is very convenient to the various Hershey attractions, making it a good home base if you're in town for Hersheypark or just looking to explore the area. The property has the usual Courtyard amenities, including an indoor pool, fitness center, and their Bistro, where you can grab Starbucks coffee and other al-a-carte items, although a bit on the pricey side. Our room was a good size and had a mini fridge and in-room safe, which are always nice to have. The bathroom had a large walk-in glass shower, although there was no actual shower door. The property also has one EV charger, which is a nice bonus if you need to charge your vehicle. There are two elevators, but unfortunately one was out of order during our stay. With only one elevator doing all the heavy lifting, elevator service was definitely on the slow side. The biggest downside was the price. At north of $500 for one night, this definitely isn't what I'd call a bargain. At that price, some complimentary Hershey chocolate in our room would have been nice! That said, the hotel was clean, well maintained, and overall a comfortable place to stay. Nothing particularly fancy or unique, but it delivers the consistent Courtyard experience you'd expect and has a very convenient location for visiting Hershey.

If you sang, you got a raffle ticket for 150 Bonvoy points. - The prices for the Starbucks in the lobby are outraeous. $17 for a breakfast sandwich. No we did not eat there. - They have a water jug for "free water" that was always out of water. - They have an indoor pool which is the size of a hot tub. TINY. And there are no chairs. So expect to stand. - We had to call twice then actually walk to the front desk because the room phone was not working and the front desk lady couldn't hear me. I needed bath wash because ours was empty (not sure why housekeeping doesn't check this). - No safe in the room but there is a fridge and microwave. Makes zero sense to me. The rooms were older but plenty comfortable and the overall hotel experience was satisfactory. A big minus was the shower/ although the water pressure was fine there was no way to have a stream that actually hit your body without it hitting the back of the shower and onto the floor in the bathroom. Made for spartan and less than stellar showers. Other than that the rooms were quiet enough and the restaurants were very good. Be careful though- signs are crazy non existent when you need them. You'll come up to an intersection and be left with a 50/50 guess which way to go. The elevator and the pool are probably only 100' apart but you need to go to the second floor and then forever and back to get to the water park. On the plus side, the restaurants had great food and the bartenders were friendly and hospitable. We were shocked how reasonable the prices were compared to home and served to remind us how much things ought to cost. Because it's part of the Hersheypark world, there is a shuttle that starts at 8am and goes through 9pm each day. Free of charge, it is a great savings over the daily parking fee you'd otherwise incur at the park. Staying at the lodge you'll get an early admission to the park as well- getting those roller coasters out of the way that normally get a big line. Super plus. Yes, for sure we'd come back or try one of the other affiliated hotels in the area.

Needless to say, Hershey was quite crowded and I can only imagine how it would have been during a weekend. The grounds are well-manicured, the indoors clean with numerous conveniently located restrooms. It paarars to me that the entire complex is handicap friendly. The staff all seemed friendly and security had a presence. The light breakdast and lunch buffets were quite tasty, and there was plenty of coffee and other beverages available. I thought it nice that each table had a small assortment of Hershey chocolates. My meeting was only one day, thus overnight accommodations were unnecessary, however my recollection is that the prices are rather steep. Overall, it was a pleasant meeting location and dining experience!
