This is a very solid 4-star hotel due to its cleanliness and location. It's a little bit pricey compared to others in the area. The parking lot is shared by a restaurant next door so parking can be a little tricky. Typically, we love the beds at Hampton properties, but the bed we got was oddly hard and uncomfortable. We didn't get the best nights sleep as a result. The breakfast was delicious and they kept everything stocked. The lobby area was clean. I would definitely consider staying here again but I would have to check the bed before committing to a specific room. read more

Came to Hershey for a concert at Hershey Theater and only stayed one night. Some construction in front but relatively easy to navigate. Got one of two of the Diamond parking spots not blocked by construction workers. Claire greeted me cheerfully upon arrival. Two free snacks and two waters plus an upgrade to a suite made my checkin process perfect! Oh there is a bowl of Hershey chocolates at the reception desk Decent gym. Had the basics. Nice it was a big room. Only one 5lb free weight. The hotel is three stories. I was on the second floor. I could hear traffic. A lot of kids (jacked up on sugar?) here but that is to be expected. Breakfast was good. They had a lot of options- two kinds of eggs, two kinds of sausage, yogurt, different flavors of bagels. Orange juice was diluted. Toaster was slow but it made a perfectly toasted bagel. Hotel kept in the chocolate theme! Would stay here again. read more

This review is from my fiancée since he doesn't have a Yelp account. Sorry for the long review BUT THIS MUST BE ADDRESSED!! Date: 7/18/25-7/20/25 I REALLY WISH I CAN GIVE THIS A ZERO RATING! Upon entering the room (around 4:30pm) my self and my fiancée immediately noticed a musty odor and observed mold in the bathroom (both rooms had same issue) The mold appeared a cloudy black color in the corners of the bathtub and rust as well.(see pictures attached) We had brought this to the attention of Irene at the front desk immediately upon noticing the issue. She said she will contact maintenance to check the issue and I said Ok. Maintenance said they can caulk the area and I said that's covering up the issue and caulking takes 24 hours to completely dry. We went to eat dinner to kill time for maintenance to do the work. 2 hours have passed and no one came to caulk anything. I went back downstairs and spoke to Irene and I said we are still waiting for maintenance and she tells me Maintenance said he's off the property and won't be back till Monday! I stated to her my fiancée is very sensitive to mold and she will end up with respiratory issues if exposed to a least a small amount of it. Irene said Ok here's another room to check on first floor here maybe the bathtub is a bit cleaner. NOPEEEE that room by the patio not only you can hear crazy noise from people chatting BUT the bathtub was worse! I went back to the front desk and told Irene that bathroom is much worse. She said there's nothing I can do but give points to the account. I'm more concerned about my fiancées health issue not points. The same night before we even used the toilet it started to back up when flushing. I went down to the front desk AGAIN requesting for the toilet to be fixed and she said there's no one on site to plunge the toilet. ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW!? I felt like I was being punked on a reality show or something. The guy working with Irene his name is Ben, went to the back office and handed me a unsanitary plunger that had urine drops and feces in a plastic bag which could've given anyone Hepatitis B at this point and he said we had to unplunge the toilet ourselves!!! Seriously??? What hotel makes their guests do their own maintenance work in a room that is very costly and supposed to cover these types of issues!! This was extremely the worst experience ever! We never encountered anything like this before at any hotels we stayed at! On top of all of that my fiancée ended up with bites on her which seemed to be Ant bites and had to go to urgent care when we got back home to be told by the doctor she was bit by a very nasty ant! She was given oral antibiotics and had to cover her wounds with topical antibiotic ointment (pictured were taken), The Super 8 motel keeps their bathrooms, beds and rooms clean and have Maintance onsite for emergency situations! Because this issue has now caused my fiancée to have discomfort and pain during our stay and had to get treated at urgent care due to the hotels failure to address this problem, I am requesting a full refund in the total of $786.93 back to my card on file. I also request that you investigate this matter and take appropriate steps to remediate the mold issue not only in this room but in all the rooms so other guests don't end up in the same situation. I have been blown away by the customer service provided by the team here, from the front desk to housekeeping, everyone was wonderful. The lobby is welcoming and comfortable, rooms are clean and stocked, and the breakfast was beyond what we expected. we have now stayed here more then once with family at the hospital and we will not stay anywhere else. read more

Well, our stay was not so good. Check in was smooth but our room looked dirty. The carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed, with white lint and a feather on the floor. The bathroom looked descent and the bed was comfy. We had two queens and our son slept in one queen. His bed squeaked every time he moved. Tried to adjust the bathroom shower head, but the water still wouldn't come out normally. The carpets in the hallways and elevator looked dirty and stained. We saw a couple cleaning carts in the hallway, but never heard a vacuum in three days. We walked to a door to exit to the parking lot and there was scaffolding set up outside so we couldn't walk out the door and had to find another exit. Not only was this a safety hazard if there was a fire, but there were no signs posted anywhere and no one was even working! So certainly not up to Hampton Inn standards. Issues: 1. Bathroom fan didn't work. Staff tried to say the fan motor is on the roof so is very quiet. Ummm, no. Doesn't work that way. 2. Toilet reservoir leaks so runs all the time. 3. No plug for the sink if you wanted to fill sink with water. 4. Some front desk don't understand English well. Tried to report the above and told them we would be out of the room in an hour if they wanted to take a look, she didn't understand so sent someone right away while family was getting ready. 5. Breakfast- challenging certainly. Generally not bad but bagels often still frozen inside so difficult to cook easily. Children run around feral. (Not the hotel's fault!) 6. TV is Direct TV. Guide channel doesn't match the actually tv channels. Probably a supplier Issue. Nice lobby with games. Pool is small and heavily chlorinated- could smell it as one walks through the front door. Great hotel very close to Hershey Park. I wouldn't say walking distance bc walking to the park itself it very much a circumnavigation from here, but certainly an inexpensive uber ride if you don't want to pay for parking. The room was tidy & comfortable. Bathroom was big enough for two people to be in at once, however there is only a clear glass partition for the shower. The amenities like gym & pool were great to have. We did take advantage of the pool on a cold,blustery winter day after being outside all day. The Bistro in the lobby is convenient yet I did find it gets overwhelmed and backed up very easily. So sometimes there is a bit of a wait for food. However there are some great restaurants within walking distance in either direction on Chocolate Ave. Checking In/Out on your phone was super helpful and parking was never an issue. This place is great for adults or families. Definitely a more affordable option than a Hershey hotel. read more

Horrible experience. The room was only surface clean. We found food and candy wrappers everywhere. Most disturbing the first night was the mold, cobwebs and spiders. We should have asked to switch rooms but we were tòo exhausted. The second morning we were awaken by our dog barking and whimpering. When my daughter opened his crate she found him covered with ants. She picked the dog up & then started screaming. The ants were biting her, as well! She put the dog in the bathtub and I grabbed the rug that he sleeps on. I went to the desk with the rug and asked for ant spray and assistance. The reply was "Oh gosh". I told her that there were biting ants in the ròom and she had no comment. Another employee overhead the conversation and said that they didn't have any spray but he could bring ant traps to the room. By this time I was beside myself. My family was getting biten by ants and there was no urgency to help. No one seemed to care. I returned to the room and we began packinging our belongings that weren't covered in ants. We were forced to throw out numerous belongings. We have no idea why the ants were in the bedroom and dog bed. There were no ants in the dog's food and water bowls that were near the couch. While we were packing our cars, the rug was returned but we left it at the desk because it still had live ants on it! I asked who I should contact to discuss reimbursement for the items that were covered with ants. I was told they are not liable. The manager was not available so I was given his business card. I havent contacted him because I've had an allergic reaction to the bites and have been sick for 2 days. I can't believe that no one from the Hampton Inn has not contacted me regarding this incident. I certainly will be contacting them tomorrow since I'm feeling better. I'm extremely disappointed. I stay at the Hampton whenever possible but doubt that I will ever stay at their hotels again. read more

Welp, my fault for not doing my research... seeing all the previous reviews which match our experience. My husband was in the military and slept on the ground in Texas. Not picky... and hated it. We are all sneezing which is likely from two nights of mold. I've attached photos of the dried pee on both sides of toilet when we arrived. The manager came to clean it as they don't have housekeeping after certain hours. A sign was posted on mirror saying you could "request" housekeeping (or else your room only gets cleaned every 4th day) so I did and they told me they could only empty garbages and do towels. Both ice machines were broken and allegedly being repaired although no signs were posted. When I said my husband needed ice for his ankle bc he just had surgery a few days prior, they said we had to use the one downstairs and basically lug our own bucket up and down. There is no customer service whatsoever or a sense of trying to accommodate guests. Beds are uncomfortable, pool is tiny. What else can I stay besides book the Marriott instead. read more

Nonstop dog bark this morning!!!! Started at 8am until I left at 10am. I don't mind dogs (I have a dog) but you need some criteria for what dogs you allow in. There was periodic dog barking last night as well. Rather than making parents sign a waiver to keep their kids quiet after 10pm or they will be kicked out of the hotel, you also have people whose dogs won't shut up, that they go board them. read more

It was a nice hotel, the breakfast was fantastic and the staff was very nice! I was super disappointed there was no jacuzzi as where I booked showed pictures there was. Turns out the pictures were not updated and a couple years ago the jacuzzi was removed. The jacuzzi and breakfast were the only reasons I booked the hotel. So that was a big bummer on my family's trip. The bed seemed a bit hard but I slept really well. No noise, we were in a suite and it was very cozy. There wasn't really hot water, warm at best and cold in the morning I had to let it run to get it warm. The design of the bathroom was odd as the toilet is in the middle of the large bathroom and the toilet paper far away on the wall so you had to really reach and this would be impossible to reach for kids. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates, silverware, dishes to cook in and a full size refrigerator/freezer which was awesome! In the loony they had fully stocked coffee, tea, hot cocoa which my whole family loved as we went to Hershey Park for Christmas and having hot beverages to come back to was very nice! Overall we loved the hotel, very comfortable. The lobby had games and there is a small store you can buy some foods and snacks. 4 stars because of the missing jacuzzi. I'd stay again otherwise. read more

Have been a Hilton rewards member for many years. Haven't had the opportunity to visit a Hampton Inn for a while because of an illness in the family. September 14, I tried to check in at the Hampton Inn at Hershey North, PA. Looked like all those I visited in the past, except the reception was different. When I asked for a single room, the receptionist said they had a couple rooms left. I said great and gave her my Hilton rewards card. She said that will be $240 please. I was shocked and asked her why a $120 room became $240. She said when the hotel is full they charge more for vacant rooms. News to me. Hadn't heard about or experienced this practice in my many years as a Hilton rewards member. Said as much and she shrugged. Drove across the street to Days Inn which is not nearly as nice, but reception was much better and literally one third the price. Guess my Hilton rewards membership has little value. Checked in at this hotel today, with my family for the kids birthday. We decided to take them to Hershey park as they wanted for their birthday. The price was reasonable, the location is great! It's very close to the park. But that's about it as far as it being good or great. The room looked clean but it really wasn't. As me and the kids settled in, I started to see and find items from what I assume, belongs to the last person who was here. Garbage by the bed, a pair of balled up socks, a piece of glass or plastic, the back of an earring. I mean it just seems like they came and changed the sheets. No vacuuming or sweeping! With this COVID thing going on, I understand and do have some sympathy because I feel maybe they are short staffed? But if that's the case don't open up , or don't hold a charge on my card upon check in for "damages etc" pay more attention to the bigger picture which is making your guest feel comfortable and having the room ACTUALLY CLEANED! makes me wonder if they even sanitized properly smh. After I spoke to management, they made it right. They changed my room and this room was way better. Cleaner, needer and the staff made sure we were happy. They made us feel better. This is your typical Hampton Inn experience. So why only 2 stars? We stayed at the hotel in 10/2020 in the middle of the COVID crisis. All of the guests & most of the housekeepers were wearing face masks over mouth & nose. The front desk staff - NO. These employees were wearing chin coverings. This does zero to reduce the spread. They are breaking their own Hilton COVID Commitment. I blame the management & owners of this franchise, they have failed the guests by not laying down the law for ALL employees to wear a mask 100% of the time. If customers lack confidence to stay at the hotel ... you know how this ends. Fortunately, this is easy for the owners to fix. read more

I'm a Diamond Hilton Honors member (for 2017) and stay at many Hampton Inns. I'd say this one is above average. It's fairly new, and the front desk folks were kind enough to upgrade us to a suite. The location, while within a short drive to Hershey park and next door to the excellent Classic Automobile Club of America museum, leaves a bit to be desired. You're a 2- or 3-mile drive to most restaurants and fast-food places. There's not a lot immediately around this location, and it's a bit of a drive from I-81 and I-84. The included breakfast was above the usual Hampton offerings and, as almost always with Hilton properties, the staff was friendly and pleasant. Our suite was sparkling clean. read more

If Hilton thinks this place represents them well they should reevaluate their thoughts. Wouldn't stay again due to it not being clean. Terrible customer service. The women working the front desk was extremely rude. One of my toddlers was crying when we were checking in and she asked if he was going to be a problem. The stay continue to decline as we saw our room and had a musty/moldy smell that hit us in the face when we opened the door. We also had to encounter the rude front desk lady serval more times. I stayed at this location for two nights with my husband and two small children. We stayed in a one bedroom suite that included a full kitchen. This suite had everything we needed to include a separate sleep area for my husband and I to relax after we put our children to sleep. The suite was clean and well maintained. The hotel was only 5 minutes away from the Hershey attractions and provided Hershey chocolates in the lobby and our room. My 4YO son and I enjoyed a board game provided in the sitting area near the indoor pool. They also had paper and crayons available, the staff really thought of families at this location. read more

I wasn't happy with staying at this particular hotel. Some of the front desk staff aren't very welcoming and friendly, a big difference compared to our wonderful experience with your front desk staff at Homewood Suites in Egg Harbor Township. I wasn't acknowledged as a Hilton member, which was fine. The chair in our room had liquid stains. Bed frames need to be changed as they wiggled and squeaked every time we turned. The pillows were very flat. Walls are very thin that we could hear all the ruckus from the room beside us. I did appreciate that housekeeping provided 3 sets of towels for our stay. I could overlook everything else, but really, the BIGGEST TURN OFF for me was the front desk staff. There was a complete absence of hospitality, which is unbecoming of a Hilton hotel brand. Upon checking out, there was a Caucasian couple ahead of me, and one of the Caucasian staff catered to them. When it was my turn, I said, "Hi. I'm here to check out." The same front staff member, didn't even bother to look at me. She ignored me completely with no acknowledgement whatsoever. She was a foot away from me and it's completely impossible not to hear what I said. So it made me think, was she ignoring me because I was Asian? Someone else stepped in and helped me check out. After reading the other reviews, we believe this hotel should have been rated higher then most have given. It's clean, comfortable and the Staff are conscientious. The breakfast they offer is more then enough to begin your day. It's close to the park and all of what Hershey has to offer.
