This 1 star rating has nothing to do with the staff, they're helpful and friendly. This review is about their beds, specifically, their mattresses. We think that some mattresses are overdue to be replaced because my husband has experienced, at least on two occasions, bug bites. The bites were so extensive that I bought my husband a sheet to put over their sheets, hoping this would prevent these bites from happening again. But it happened again. This time around, one bite in particular, looked like his finger got slammed in the doorway. The bites were so itchy and swollen. And this place just got remodeled!! Makes you question how well these beds are cleaned or how old the mattresses are. I would think twice in booking this location, unless there are no other options available. read more

We stayed here during our Route 66 trip. Firstly, I want to say the most important shit which is that everything was clean. There were no issues whatsoever with cleanliness and I would stay here again for that reason. I don't know how other places are in Kingman. Our stay did leave some shit to be desired tho. For one, and not to be a snobby POS but there was no mention of my diamond status whatsoever. It was not acknowledged. I was not offered bottles of water or a snack, which is standard procedure. In fact, when we were in the lobby later to purchase water that I should have received for free, there was someone else who was at the desk asking for the above items that they were entitled to as a loyalty member. As GF reminded me numerous times, I was too shy to make an issue of it and instead paid for water. Secondly, this place is huge and some of the rooms are very far from the elevator. I usually don't like to be too close to the elevator but dragging my suitcases through all of that carpet was quite the work out. Thirdly, our room had a very strange odor. The closest thing we could come up with is that someone had smoked in it and they did something to cover up the smell but whatever they did, didn't work. The room was pretty big, including the bathroom which was a nice size. GF is saying the shower door was broken but I used it without issues I can recall. The water pressure was fine. We were only given 2 towels for 2 people which is annoying for me when I have to wash my hair and need an extra towel for this mop on my head. Overall, the room felt pretty dated. read more

We had a bad experience here. Poor service and cleanliness of the room was questionable. They could not find my reservation at checking in. They delay was quite lengthy and they had to have 3 people look for it. They eventually found it but did not explain what the issue was even after I asked. We also never an apology. To make matters worse, I received both of the room keys and both did not work. I had to lug all of my items back to the lobby to activate the keys. After that, I later discovered they only activated one key. Too frustrated to have to go to the desk a 3rd time, we opted to operate with just one key. We did not receive the same welcome as others we saw checking in. We also had an allergic reaction while in the room and had to use antihistamines. read more

The room was absolutely beautiful and incredibly clean. The beds were super comfortable with lots of pillows and a nice bedspread to curl up in. Bathroom was nicely done with dispensers for all needed bathing lotions and soaps. I love the zero% lotion and actually bought some from Amazon! We stopped last night after a long day driving, looking for a nice and peaceful hotel and well known... Not a peaceful rest for us in this one, sadly we got the room with so much noise at night because of how close from the elevator but also how bad the construction is right next to the room in the morning. Guess what I found when I turned the lights on at this disgusting place. Didn't get any sleep as I was afraid bugs would get into my bags, shoes, etc. So I kept the lights on all night long just to keep the cockroach's away. Told Corp about the whole ordeal. Turned in the light and found them crawling around on my tooth brush. He to completely toss my $34 Phillips sonic tooth brush. Pretty upset as I hadn't had it that long. To say the least. I actually literally enjoyed my stay here late March 2023. Staff are very friendly, the room was very clean and the AC worked very well, always a hit and miss at any Marriott (Hiltons too). It was just a very relaxed stay. I was here because of a flat on my BMW, requiring replacement of the tire, which had to be ordered. The highway I-40 through Kingman is atrociously bad, a local police officer told me that there were 38 flats over the weekend within a few miles East of Kingman. There is no cell service for much of that area, so travelers beware. I would never, under any circumstances, again travel I-40 between Flagstaff and the California border. Don't bring your pets here unless you're okay with them having cigarette butts for dinner. The "dog area" was full of trash and old cigarettes. Doesn't look like anybody has been over there to clean or check on it in a while. I keep a close eye on my pup but when I say there are cigarettes everywhere around the property, I mean EVERYWHERE! I let my pup go in the "dog area" as recommended by the front desk, before I saw all the garbage, and now I have a lethargic pup that I had to give activated charcoal to. I took her for a walk around the property so she could get fresh air and every step I took, was met with another cigarette butt. I understand you can't control where people throw their butts, but at least have the dog area regularly swept through. What was supposed to be a quick and easy stop, has turned into an awful night for us. Update: The employees smoke in front of the building and throw their cigarette butts wherever they want. Yes I saw it happen. Very unprofessional and just dirty. Rooms are gross, very outdated, and give an uncomfortable feeling. Worst Hampton experience I've ever had. We were in a newly renovated room on the top floor- opposite side of the hospital. The room was super clean. The beds were soft and ample pillows. Plenty of towels and extra amenities like makeup remover and iron and ironing board in room with hairdryer too. The room had a small fridge, microwave, and tea and coffee maker. A smaller flat screen television with direct tv channels including hbo. Downstairs has all day coffee, water and tea available. Snacks to buy all day and a free good breakfast everyday. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again if coming to Kingman. read more

I mean... it's a Hampton Inn. Like every other Hampton Inn. That's it, that's the review. On the real, room was solid. The "breakfast" was not much more than some pastries, cereal, and waffle makings, but nonetheless appreciated. Staff upon checkin didn't seem to care too much about anything, but it was towards the end of a shift. The pool was green two of the three days we were there. They don't offer housekeeping and again don't tell you till you ask about it. We will not stay here again. Dirty floorboards, patchwork holes filled walls, crappy frig, dirty looking towels and a lumpy old bed. $60 bucks is the cheapest in town and now you know why. Didn't go to breakfast "bag" because I was afraid to eat it. This is all management not the cleaning crew. We stayed here one night on a little road trip. Check in was smooth and Becky at the front desk was super nice and helpful. Somehow I booked the only remodeled room at this hotel (the full remodel is coming) and our room was super nice. New carpet, clean and new sheets, comfy pillows. We really got lucky. Now.. here's my only gripe. For whatever reason I was having a very hard time sleeping due to some sinus issues. Then at 5am, the desk called us to ask if our car was a Ford Expedition with Washington state plates. Now I understand that the gal at the desk had a job to do, but..... we literally filled out a paper at check in with the year, make, model, color, and what state plate was on the car we were driving. So,.. I'm confused as to why I was woken up at 5am to ask what car we were driving. Maybe refer to the paperwork that was filled out prior to waking up guests at an ungodly hour. That's my only gripe! Everything else was really nice and would like to stay here again next time we're in town! Just please don't wake me up at 5am again!! read more

Pros- Friendly staff. Lots of fast food nearby. Ample free parking. And nice hot great water pressure shower. Close to freeway. Cons- Shower pan creaks incessantly. Carpets are dirty - I had to wash off the bottom of feet - ugh. The hotel is a tad run down. They still advertise a am breakfast... And there is none yet no discount for the room. TV is broken... I HATE IT When hotels stop me from opening the window! ** Nice work table. Table Lamp had AC plugs built in. Other hotels should take note of this! Negatives: * No breakfast. Hilton Garden Inn are able to do a small to-go bag and maybe Hampton Inn should adapt. * Indoor pool is closed. Understandable under the tRumpPlague. * No in room safe. This should be standard! * Below standard WiFi. Take note they limited the number of towels in the rooms. The room was just okay. We were traveling back home and we were getting tired, so we stopped. The beds were very uncomfortable. The breakfast was not much of a breakfast. The food was premade and warmed up and there wasn't much of a selection. I can't have dairy and asked if they had soy or almond milk, which they did not. Pros: For context, I wanted to go to Grand Canyon West tour. Initially, we booked Hualapai Lodge because that's what they recommend. Unfortunately, we realized half way there that it's still gonna take us 2 hours to go to Grand Canyon West from Hualapai Lodge! They didn't even provide any shuttle. So, we decided last minute that we're just gonna find some other accommodation since we were in Kingsman area. Everything met our expectations at Hampston Inn. The room that we got was big too. It was definitely queen size beds as well. I liked how the sink is outside the bathroom. So, bathroom only has toilet and bathtub. Cons: Couldn't think any. Breakfast could be better, but I guess it's ok since it's not really a fancy place. read more

Not the best Hampton stay by far. I will start off by saying our room was very clean and we felt safe staying in the room. Beyond that, it was lacking in several areas. The room was in need of some maintenance attention: glass cover missing on bathroom ceiling light, several gouges in the walls, exposed anchors in the wall where a bedside reading lamp used to be (now on a table), and rough unpainted patch around the fire sprinkler. No water for HHonors members ("we are out"; guess it was hard to go across the street to the Walmart to buy more?); no breakfast (even though they were supposed to have it in to go bags); room cleaning staff member going into a room with no mask on; we had to ask one staff member to put on their mask when getting on the elevator with us when they could have waited), etc. We did a survey with Hilton and at least received an apology "if we were not thoroughly impressed by the services". read more

One of the more disappointing Hilton properties I have been in in a long while. Not really worthy of that branding. . The common areas are not well maintained. Carpets in front of elevators were black from wear and dirt. At least six four floor tiles in the ONLY working elevator in this four-story hotel were badly cracked. The only working elevator was only just barely working-. It rumbled, vibrated and slipped on each of our trips up and down. The room was fine except for dripping bath faucet. In Kingman on business and had a nice comfortable stay here. Right away the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms have refrigerators which is nice for someone that brings water etc when on the road. For travelers on their way to the Grand Canyon or even Vegas this is a great stop off for the night. The location is minutes from historic Route 66 and old town Kingman. They are currently in a mode of revitilizartion and you will find wine bars, a new brewery and fun shopping off route 66! Nice hotel staff are very courteous and helpful. Breakfast is served every morning 6 to 10 plenty to choose from and somthing for everyone. I stayed in the double queen suit. The room was comfortable and quit. I didnt hear other Noise out side the room or guest. I thought it was funny they offer ear plugs for your stay but they were not needed. The room was clean the only issue I had was my fridge was not working I had to call the said a new one would be in the room the next day when finally returning from a long day of work I found the fridge was still not replaced I called again they immediately brought up a brand new frigidaire. I was in this hotel for a week while in town for work and would definitely stay here again when in kingman. read more
