Shower water that took forever to drain.
    Beverly R.

This hotel does not live up to the other Hampton Inn's that we have stayed in. The hallways and lobby have been updated nicely. The rooms have updated decor but the mattress did not give a good sleep if updated. The air conditioner was noisy and not updated but the thermostat seemed to be. The window (or AC) in our room let in much noise (road work being done outside) along with thin walls and noisy walkers above us it was not a great stay. Oh, and the tub took 30 minutes or so to drain from a shower. Breakfast was good. Parking was adequate. Another thing, we booked the room through a third party (we did our whole trip this way) at 1:35 pm on the day of arrival. We arrived (about 5pm) to find out that all the rooms with walk in showers were occupied already but they said we could "upgrade" to a jetted tub (I guess there was a stand alone shower in the room). I mention this because all of the other hotels (about 5) accommodate us with the walk in shower (I guess they read their request ahead of time). We were just disappointed in this Hampton Inn.

Such a great spacious room for the price! We were able to check in quick and they had plenty of parking. They have a small workout room with a plelaton bike, and lots of work space and a roomy lobby. It's kind of out of the way but I appreciate it being out of the way of the city

The rooms were nice the bar is tended by an amazing lady who has a wonderful personality and is very witty and quick, she mixes an amazing drink and her looks match her personality overall a great experience

We were in town for a birthday party. Yes, people in Madera party too. Haha The boyfriend booked a room at the property for convenience as it was less than a 10 minute drive from where we needed to be later that evening. To my surprise, the hotel was very well maintained and clean. There is a big dining area when you first walk in. Front desk staff were very efficient and friendly during the check in process. Our room was pretty standard but it was a comfortable stay. There was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Thoughtful desk area if you need to get some laptop time in. Bed and pillows were awesome. AC worked well and quickly -- it gets hot in Madera! Complimentary breakfast in the morning. And again -- to my surprise, there were many options: waffles, eggs, sausages, seasoned breakfast potatoes, bagels, pastries, yogurt, cereal, and assorted juices. That's pretty decent considering breakfast is included with your stay. Finally, there is hot coffee and tea available 24/7 in the lobby. Kudos to the team running this place!

Although the hotel is placed in the middle of nowhere, because of that reason, it is a pretty quiet and comfy place to stay. The room was spacious, with microwave, fridge. They also come with mouthwash, soap, coffee maker, shampoo, conditioner, and shower cap. They sure know how to cook your breakfast. It was full of flavor and tasted so delicious. I will definitely come back!

I just couldn't let this go. I stayed there the night of 12/17/22. I think it was a room on the 4th floor. I woke up to a cluster of bites not like any I have ever seen. I called the next day and let them know to check. They called back and said they did their standard bed bug sweep, but did not find anything. Maybe it was something else? Or it could have been an isolated incident, but check your bed first, and don't put your suitcase or any clothes on the beds. Anywhere! Thank god I did not bring them home with me, but I was obsessively worried about it. I washed literally everything and left stuff outside for weeks. Anyway, just be careful. One would never think because it is a very nice hotel for the area. I hope I'm wrong and it was a spider or something? But be wary. Here and everywhere. Don't become complacent even in a seemingly nice clean hotel. One star for breakfast and one star because I was lucky I never brought any bugs home with me!

Stayed one night during the weekend and thought it was overall a convenient place to crash and fair value. Breakfast included: - cereal - oatmeal - scramble eggs - biscuits and gravy - turkey patties and pork sausage - assorted breads, packaged muffins and cinnamon rolls - juice fountain, milk in the refrigerator, and yogurt There was also a simple fitness center (has a water dispenser inside, cold and room temperature water) and a pool onsite with a hot tub. At night the staff got very busy cuz it seemed like only one person was covering everything. But they are friendly and helpful. Can ask the front desk for free toothpaste and toothbrush. One notable con is that there were no hot water kettles nor a hot water dispenser in the lobby (except during breakfast). (How do u drink the teas?) Hot coffee was available in the lobby and in the room using a Keurig machine. Ended up using the microwave to heat up water.

Soon as you walk in the electric doors I could tell the difference. The beautifully decorated lobby, the plush dining area for breakfast, the food pantry. All that our last hotel was lacking. The dining room is huge. Tables, booths, and open space. It holds so many people. Maybe 10 tables, 4 people per table 40 people. The last hotel had 4 tables at 4 person per table, 26 people. So much bigger and spread out. Breakfast is a hot and cold breakfast. The last hotel was just the cold breakfast. Here there were egg muffins sandwiches, quiche, and soufflés. 3 kinds of cold cereal, including my fav red berries. Chocolate, reg, and oat milk. Our last hotel lacked milk and cereal and hard boiled eggs. Hard boiled eggs, waffle machine, muffins and loafs, bagels , toast, ect. And of course there was a coffee and tea bar. The room wasn't as a good set up as our last one. Our last one had a bistro table and chairs and the desk and chair. A good set up to play cards or watch tv. The room was fresh, clean, and had no smell. We had a king bed, fridge, microwave, coffee makers, actual closet with iron and board. This hotel had a gym with treadmills, elliptical machine, weights, kettle balls, and exercise balls. Both hotels had pools, this one also had a hot tub. Overall this was a wonder hotel and I highly reccomend it to others. It's in the middle of a strip of shopping, eateries, gas stations, car washes, ect.

Review: Knights Inn Hotel - Discrimination Against Homeless Veteran and Service Animal…read moreMy recent experience at the Knights Inn hotel was deeply disturbing and frankly, unacceptable. As a homeless veteran accompanied by my legitimate service animal, I was met with blatant discrimination that violated both federal and state laws. Upon attempting to check in, I was subjected to questioning about my service animal that went far beyond what is legally permissible. The owner demanded "documentation" and seemed to imply my veteran status or homelessness somehow negated my right to have my service animal with me. This line of questioning is not only intrusive but directly contrary to the rights afforded to individuals with disabilities. Furthermore, the general attitude and treatment I received felt dismissive and prejudiced. It was clear that my circumstances were being judged, and this judgment extended to my service animal, who is a crucial part of my daily life and well-being. Regarding the law, it is imperative that the Knights Inn, and all public accommodations, understand and adhere to the following: * Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): Under the ADA, service animals are not pets. Hotels cannot deny access to a person with a disability accompanied by a service animal, even if they have a "no pets" policy. They cannot charge extra fees or deposits for service animals. Hotels are generally only permitted to ask two questions: * Is the animal required because of a disability? * What work or task has the animal been trained to perform? They cannot ask for documentation, require the animal to demonstrate its task, or inquire about the nature of the person's disability. Service animals must be allowed in all areas where the public is permitted. * California Law: California law aligns with the ADA, further protecting individuals with disabilities and their service animals. California Civil Code sections, such as § 54.1 and § 54.2, explicitly grant individuals with disabilities the right to be accompanied by their service animals in public accommodations, including hotels. Additionally, California Penal Code sections like PC 365.5 make it a misdemeanor to prevent or interfere with a disabled person's rights to use their service animal. There are also protections under fair housing laws that extend to individuals in shelters and those who are homeless, recognizing the importance of assistance animals. The actions of the Knights Inn staff were a clear violation of these fundamental rights. Discrimination against a veteran, especially one experiencing homelessness, and denying access to a trained service animal is not just poor customer service; it is illegal and morally reprehensible. I hope this review serves as a warning to other potential guests and, more importantly, prompts the Knights Inn management to immediately educate their staff on disability rights and service animal laws to prevent such discriminatory incidents from happening again. Every individual, regardless of their housing status, deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and their rights, particularly those related to service animals, must be upheld without question.

The girl with the flashy fingernails was extremely rude and the young man working with her, backed her up. I tried to speak with either the Hotel Supervisor (left a message & Number, they never bothered to call.). Or the Supervisor at VIP/Players Club. He was too busy handing out ridiculous mini camp refrigerators to greedy players to bother with speaking to me. Tonight we had dinner at the Noodle Bar. My husband ordered the Beef Chow Mein and it was inedible. We let them know and were charged for the dish regardless. For 3 adults and .2 children under 12 the bill was $140.00. On the positive side, the big Bakery at the back of the Smokers Casino is very good and the prices are reasonable. We had the choice of staying in an Oakhurst Hotel or Chuckchansi. We elected to stay here at Chuckchansi and we all had terrible time. We are leaving a day early.
