Nice big mirror lighting is not that bright.

The room was clean. We got there late, so didn't have time to enjoy the pool which I hear is open 24 hours which is a nice perk after a long drive. We were just tired. Downfall was there was no hand soap only shampoo and condition. First time I've ever been to a hotel world they do not hand soap to wash your hands. All that was on the counter was a makeup wipe.

    This is my confirmation!

DO NOT STAY HERE!! I booked and paid with Expedia, my check in time was 3pm. It is 8pm and I am still not checked, there is something wrong with there system my card was not going through even though I called my bank & they had told me they approved of these transactions but on there end it wasn't working. There's something wrong with there system I find it odd I wasn't the only customer that it was happened too. They need to fix there whole transaction system. Not only that I had checked in online with the link it sent me, so I find this HOTEL horrendous for its service with transactions.

Stay away from this place! I was exposed to bed bugs during my stay on 3/22/2024 and woke up to bumps on my arm, and none stopped itching. Upon inspection of my bed, I discovered a bed bug and the mattress I was sleeping on was in bad condition with tears on its side. Be cautious if you decide to stay there. Clean rooms, cool little bar in the lobby. Easy on/off freeway access. Complimentary breakfast in the morning. Staff is always friendly.

DO NOT STAY HERE! We checked in for 4 nights and the checking process was very easy however we were not informed of the following things: 1. They do not do any housekeeping unless you request it which I would've understood had it been explained at check in. We arrived at our room and housekeeping had not been there to provide us with any coffee, cups, towels or toilet paper. 2. Breakfast in lobby says until 10am however we went down to lobby at 7:50am and they said sorry its from 6am to 8am. My husband and I looked at our watch and it wasn't 8am yet but we were told there was none. I understand Covid has brought many changes but the hotel needs to find a way to replenish items without being told by Isabel at front desk that you have to go get everything yourself. I called to ask Isabel about the items we did not have including towels she told me to go down and get them. I went to lobby and and once I was there she asked me to come back to 5th floor and gran the dirty towels to take them down to lobby before getting clean ones!! Really? I could not believe this I mean if anything she could have told me when I called on the phone and was told to go to lobby. I Will never never stay here again. By the way we have stayed at other hotels during covid and this bad service is by far the worse I have ever seen. BEWARE NO COMMUNICATION AT CHECK IN ISABEL SAID THEY HAVE NO HOUSEKEEPERS BUT I SAW QUITE A FEW WHEN I LEFT IN THE MORNING. 0 STARS IF IT WAS A CHOICE Update from above review in regards to only doing housekeeping upon request I requested it on day 2 and I posted review and I'm on my 3rd night here still no housekeeping has came to our room. I informed Front desk again and they didnt even offer to come and bring towels or anything. When we checked in to room we noticed the only toiletry was 1 soap on sink not 2, no shampoo, conditioner or anything else. Not getting better even though I have informed front desk more than once. I will definitely not return to La Quinta its to bad because the hotel is nice and we wanted to give them a try for the very 1st time. We will continue to book at Springhill Suites as we had done yearly when in Madera they do have amazing service unlike La Quinta and the price difference is not much. Update: Just received a call from Gilbert at front desk informing me that if I need housekeeping I need to leave for 4 hrs prior to them coming in. Did I mention I was told 2 days ago I would have housekeeping yesterday so I left all day only to come to room that housekeeping had not done and now they want me to leave for 4 hrs again today? Gilberts excuse was that housekeeping didn't get to it and that the policy is they only come if you stay 5 nights I guess I need to add a night to get 1 day of housekeeping and have to be gone 1 of the days for them to come in. WOW!!

    Drinks from the bar

Stayed here for a few days. The environment and rooms were clean. The staff was friendly and drinks at the bar were good. The gym was sufficient and open 24 hours. Pool is not heated but also open 24 hours. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options: cereal; eggs, bacon/sausage, bagels, toast, muffins, waffles, pancakes, and more. My only complain was that there is a train that passes right behind the hotel and passes by often especially at 2-3am daily. It sounds its horn and it's impossible to get a good night sleep. Other than this the hotel was a great stay!

My mom and I came up with my dog for a quick trip to see some friends. The room had been recently remodeled and was beautifully done with rust colored tall headboards and the walls painted a deep taupe. The bathroom was sparkling clean and I thought that the barn door style was clever. The room had a long table for a desk, and needing a table to eat our dinner, we moved the table between the beds and used it as a dining table. Worked great! The staff was very friendly and helpful and what I really appreciated was the $100 deposit for the dog was REFUNDABLE unlike the other hotels in the area. We will definitely be staying here again if we are in the area!

Beautiful rainy, fall day in Madera. View from the 4th floor.

Stayed one night during the weekend and thought it was overall a convenient place to crash and fair value. Breakfast included: - cereal - oatmeal - scramble eggs - biscuits and gravy - turkey patties and pork sausage - assorted breads, packaged muffins and cinnamon rolls - juice fountain, milk in the refrigerator, and yogurt There was also a simple fitness center (has a water dispenser inside, cold and room temperature water) and a pool onsite with a hot tub. At night the staff got very busy cuz it seemed like only one person was covering everything. But they are friendly and helpful. Can ask the front desk for free toothpaste and toothbrush. One notable con is that there were no hot water kettles nor a hot water dispenser in the lobby (except during breakfast). (How do u drink the teas?) Hot coffee was available in the lobby and in the room using a Keurig machine. Ended up using the microwave to heat up water.

Soon as you walk in the electric doors I could tell the difference. The beautifully decorated lobby, the plush dining area for breakfast, the food pantry. All that our last hotel was lacking. The dining room is huge. Tables, booths, and open space. It holds so many people. Maybe 10 tables, 4 people per table 40 people. The last hotel had 4 tables at 4 person per table, 26 people. So much bigger and spread out. Breakfast is a hot and cold breakfast. The last hotel was just the cold breakfast. Here there were egg muffins sandwiches, quiche, and soufflés. 3 kinds of cold cereal, including my fav red berries. Chocolate, reg, and oat milk. Our last hotel lacked milk and cereal and hard boiled eggs. Hard boiled eggs, waffle machine, muffins and loafs, bagels , toast, ect. And of course there was a coffee and tea bar. The room wasn't as a good set up as our last one. Our last one had a bistro table and chairs and the desk and chair. A good set up to play cards or watch tv. The room was fresh, clean, and had no smell. We had a king bed, fridge, microwave, coffee makers, actual closet with iron and board. This hotel had a gym with treadmills, elliptical machine, weights, kettle balls, and exercise balls. Both hotels had pools, this one also had a hot tub. Overall this was a wonder hotel and I highly reccomend it to others. It's in the middle of a strip of shopping, eateries, gas stations, car washes, ect.

Review: Knights Inn Hotel - Discrimination Against Homeless Veteran and Service Animal…read moreMy recent experience at the Knights Inn hotel was deeply disturbing and frankly, unacceptable. As a homeless veteran accompanied by my legitimate service animal, I was met with blatant discrimination that violated both federal and state laws. Upon attempting to check in, I was subjected to questioning about my service animal that went far beyond what is legally permissible. The owner demanded "documentation" and seemed to imply my veteran status or homelessness somehow negated my right to have my service animal with me. This line of questioning is not only intrusive but directly contrary to the rights afforded to individuals with disabilities. Furthermore, the general attitude and treatment I received felt dismissive and prejudiced. It was clear that my circumstances were being judged, and this judgment extended to my service animal, who is a crucial part of my daily life and well-being. Regarding the law, it is imperative that the Knights Inn, and all public accommodations, understand and adhere to the following: * Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA): Under the ADA, service animals are not pets. Hotels cannot deny access to a person with a disability accompanied by a service animal, even if they have a "no pets" policy. They cannot charge extra fees or deposits for service animals. Hotels are generally only permitted to ask two questions: * Is the animal required because of a disability? * What work or task has the animal been trained to perform? They cannot ask for documentation, require the animal to demonstrate its task, or inquire about the nature of the person's disability. Service animals must be allowed in all areas where the public is permitted. * California Law: California law aligns with the ADA, further protecting individuals with disabilities and their service animals. California Civil Code sections, such as § 54.1 and § 54.2, explicitly grant individuals with disabilities the right to be accompanied by their service animals in public accommodations, including hotels. Additionally, California Penal Code sections like PC 365.5 make it a misdemeanor to prevent or interfere with a disabled person's rights to use their service animal. There are also protections under fair housing laws that extend to individuals in shelters and those who are homeless, recognizing the importance of assistance animals. The actions of the Knights Inn staff were a clear violation of these fundamental rights. Discrimination against a veteran, especially one experiencing homelessness, and denying access to a trained service animal is not just poor customer service; it is illegal and morally reprehensible. I hope this review serves as a warning to other potential guests and, more importantly, prompts the Knights Inn management to immediately educate their staff on disability rights and service animal laws to prevent such discriminatory incidents from happening again. Every individual, regardless of their housing status, deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and their rights, particularly those related to service animals, must be upheld without question.

The girl with the flashy fingernails was extremely rude and the young man working with her, backed her up. I tried to speak with either the Hotel Supervisor (left a message & Number, they never bothered to call.). Or the Supervisor at VIP/Players Club. He was too busy handing out ridiculous mini camp refrigerators to greedy players to bother with speaking to me. Tonight we had dinner at the Noodle Bar. My husband ordered the Beef Chow Mein and it was inedible. We let them know and were charged for the dish regardless. For 3 adults and .2 children under 12 the bill was $140.00. On the positive side, the big Bakery at the back of the Smokers Casino is very good and the prices are reasonable. We had the choice of staying in an Oakhurst Hotel or Chuckchansi. We elected to stay here at Chuckchansi and we all had terrible time. We are leaving a day early. I hope this review spares you reading this, an expensive unenjoyable stay at Chuckchansi Hotel and Casino.
