Worst customer service ever. If I could rate it 0 stars trust me I would. Called way ahead of time to see if I could check in at 2 instead of 3 and was told that I could. Once I arrived we were told we had to wait 20 more minutes for the rooms, then it became 30 minutes. I don't understand why they couldn't have been more honest instead of wasting our time. I called ahead of time for a reason. Not only that, but after checking out and leaving the area, which is a 2 hour drive for me, I noticed my watch was missing which meant I had left it at the hotel, but luckily for me I had it connected to my iPhone so I was able to track my watch's move every couple hours or so. At first it showed it was in the hotel room so I called the hotel but they said they didn't find it, then a couple hours later it showed it was in the parking lot so I called again and told them that I had been notified that it had been found by the Find my Devices app on iPhone, I was told by the lady on the phone, "I had no idea you could track those things", which stood out to me and lead me to believe one of their employees stole my watch!!!! read more

The courteousness of the staff was Very good- No complaints here on customer service. Cleanliness of rooms Very good. They have an Amazing security man too. If you like to sleep- ..good luck- walls are extremely paper thin. Our first room we settled was nice and we wanted to stay- but dude next door was snoring so bad it literally sounded like a dying bear- over the sound of tv and room fan/heater. So I asked if they had another room available- they did, and I lugged me, my quiet guests(wanting to sleep) and luggage to new room. We settle back down and we notice the tv on in the room next door- he's watching news- (at least it's not porn) but it's 1:45 AM in the morning and it's so loud I can hear it in the hallway, easily from 2 rooms down. I call the desk and apologize for the request of quiet again, but could they call the guest to turn it down? They oblige, but I hear no difference- at all, and I'm pretty sure I was listening to hear a phone call- but didn't. I have my heater on full blast ,and not on auto, to keep it on a constant sound drowning level. Also I usually run super hot but for some reason at 72 on this heater it's still freezing. I really want to sleep- weather home or away. At 2am that shouldn't be a tall order here at a Hamptons. It's one of the reasons we're not at a lower caliber hotel or motel. So, either the noisy guest wasn't told to be cognizant/ that the building doesn't belong to them/golden rule/your not a home be kind to others/....or the walls are paper thin. I really wanted to like this place because the place is really well kept and every staff person I interacted with was courteous. But they maybe need to adjust or install some kind of sound drowner/soother/portable air purifier/ ect.... if insulated walls are impossible. Side note, at the morning, very clean looking breakfast but my sausage was still raw (thank God I noticed and put out my mouth immediately) and the eggs were so over cooked they were past hard styrofoam level....possible yesterday's eggs reheated? Maybe their cook was off, it is the Holiday week. Would I try this location on the road again? Possibly because cleanliness and friendliness Is very important to me, but a good night's rest while traveling is also in my top 3 reasons for obvious reasons. Great news is this is solvable by offering an additional sound/air purifier to drown out noise from guests. read more

As a Hilton Diamond member and past frequent guest st this property, I was simply shocked to find my showers riddled with black mold. Not just on a small spot but everywhere. Being a healthcare professional I brought it to the gentleman attention upon my checkout and he just looked st me without any apology. Awful, awful experience. We booked two nights though Hotel Tonight. Credit card charged. Missed the first night due to a family issue. My family arrived the second of our two nights, only to be told by a rude, unsympathetic Hilton desk clerk that her "reservation" wss cancelled because we didn't check in on the first of the two nights. We'll it's not a reservation if you already paid for it! At that point, the room is booked. My wife and son were stranded at 10pm at night with no place to stay. Hilton did nothing to right the situation and Hotel Tonight did nothing to secure a new room for my family and initially offered us credit rather than a refund. Not only did Hilton lose me as a customer, but so did HT. read more

I didnt like the back swimmer bugs in the pool. One bit me. pool needs maintnance, there was an empty can of beer and a lil bit of trash which i had to clean out. I didnt see the bugs untill my daughters pointed them out to me. I didnt know these existed and thought it was just a dead bug that fell inside. Oh was i wrong. Other than that everything was good. We got the suite with the hot tub...it was amazing. The room was much better then we expected. They have great in house toiletries. The staff is very warm and welcoming from the front desk to the housekeeping. The continental breakfast was the best we've had. The kitchen staff were very nice. I give them 5 stars they kept up with everything in the breakfast area. Very nice and accommodating. I give them a lot of credit for keeping the breakfast area clean as well. From personal experiences, I have favored the Hampton Inn franchise for its quality, presentation and ambiance, and I thought you couldn't go wrong with this franchise. I never had a bad experience, until I made a brief 1hr stay at the Hampton Inn on 3254 Airport Dr. Madera, CA. Here's the issue. The gentleman working behind the counter was nice, and the room was beautiful with a nice Jacuzzi; however, that soon changed when I noticed a bug in the Jacuzzi. Looked like a small roach, but didn't think much of it at the time until I found some more on the couch, table, floor and walls. I gathered up the ones I could find in a cup for the hotel staff to see. I contacted the front desk. I asked him if there were any other rooms that they could put my wife and 2 kids into; however, this was the last room. I also asked if there was another Hampton Inn they could put us in; however, after he spoke to his manager, he stated that they could only discount our room $20 and could not provide another room as they were booked. He stated that they couldn't send me to another Hampton Inn either, as they normally did not do that. I then asked for a refund, as I did not want to bring these bugs home with us. Sitting in the parking lot, my wife and I decided to either find a hotel in the area close to midnight or go home which was 2.5 hrs. away. We decided to find a another room in the area. We found another hotel an exit away. To make a long story short, I just felt inconvenienced by not having any other options to send us to another hotel, but only to provide a discount of $20 or provide a refund. read more

Did you know at the Hampton Inn (a Hilton Hotel property) if a person gives a room number and last name connected to it to the front desk, the person is given a key to that room? That's what happened to my room on 10/17/15. They let a thief into my room and he/she took my diamond ring and necklace and two bottles of face makeup! The general manager of the hotel claims the front desk followed protocol for giving out a duplicate key and that the hotel has no liability or insurance to cover theft. I can't believe they don't require ID to obtain a new room key! Really, Hilton? They could have at least comped me for the room! If I were you, I'd think twice about staying here. My room is always spotless, the air and heat work well, comfy rooms, and overly amenable staff. They are friendly and accommodate everything we need with ease and a smile. Very clean and well-kept. I especially appreciated the charging stations next to the beds and the fitness room with equipment that was clean and in good shape. One thing I had never seen in any hotel before was a sign saying that they clean the bed comforters for every guest. The comforters had white covers, so it clearly had to be true. Very good feature. The bed itself was quite comfortable. I generally like a very firm bed and this was a bit on the soft side, but not so much that it was uncomfortable. I expect it will be fine for almost everyone. Breakfast was above average for a hotel like this. Lots of options. And they had POG juice drink in the dispenser, which I especially enjoyed after a vacation in Hawaii last month. I really only had one complaint: the air conditioners were extremely loud. even with earplugs, and even on the low fan setting blew very hard. I turned mine off for a while, but could still hear the ones in the neighboring rooms quite loudly. And in the middle of the night I had to turn mine on again after the room got too warm. I realize this is a problem in many hotels, and due to the expense is not likely to be fixed until a major remodel, but hopefully someone will figure this out one day. All in all, really exemplary for this type of relatively inexpensive chain hotel. read more

We checked in about 11pm. The desk clerk was not at the front desk. We called out "hello" several times and he finally emerged from the kitchen area and said "oh you folks checking in?" The room is clean, although the bedding has a slight odor, causing me not to be able to rest well. I'm hoping breakfast will be better than my expectations at this point. read more

This motel is fresh and clean with all the benefits you can expect from the Hampton Inn brand. The location is kind of middle-of-nowhere but it is convenient to Route 99. The one thing that holds me back from giving 5 stars is that I think it runs $10-20 too expensive for what it offers. read more

Wow...what a pleasant surprise! From first contact by phone to walking into the hotel there was LaToya....what a gem! Big smile, happy greeting...great cutomer service....what do you know...someone in the hospitality industry that actually likes people! How rare today! I could tell that was not put on either...she had the same disposition each time I saw her. Better give her some great incentives to stay on! Only thing is .......and I say this to be totally honest, the piercings on the face just detract from the professionalism in my opinion. And on to the room....Under $100 (a weekday) for one of the cleanest, most comfortable rooms I've been in. As soon as I walked into the room I smelled clean...and not an obnoxious bleachy clean but the kind of clean you get with fresh linens. Surreal Experience. The Hotel refuses to enforce wearing a mask in the lobby and common areas. If you have any concerns regarding COVID and mask use, this is NOT the place for you. If you can care less. This is your place. I stayed at Hampton Inn Madera on 10/4/20. Very few quests wore a mask in elevators or in lobby and when going in and out of property. When I asked the front desk about enforcement, I was told that they were not interested or given enough authority to enforce guest wearing masks in lobby and common areas. ( wow!!!). Worse, when checking out, the guest behind me took his mask off ( he was wearing it below his nose) and made a point of mocking me, taking his mask off while he checked out at the front desk. He followed up this class act by telling me to "Crawl back to where I came from". The receptionist did not ask him to put the mask back on or ask him to wear a mask when he sat down in the lobby with a friend. Most bizarre experience ever. If you are good with a no mask policy, by all mean stay there. If not, avoid the place. Also, there is a $50.00 cleaning fee deposit refundable if you don't excessively dirty the room. Apparently, some of the guests have been leaving their rooms very dirty. Wow!!!!! Called Management and will be following up with Hilton. read more

For the hotel class, this should be a 5 star, but this one has a few minor issues: Channel selection is poor Pool Area has some cheesy furniture, and nothing to lay on while sun tanning Internet speed is slow - but it's free Workout center barely adequate - equipment types and positioning need some improvement. We've stayed at this hotel twice now. Both times I have been very pleased with our stay. The hotel is clean, safe, and comfortable. We had a standard 2 queen room once and a studio suite this weekend. Both were comfortable, and the suite had lots of room to spread out along with a wet bar. All staff we encountered were friendly and courteous. One night we came in very late after a long day at the racetrack, and I needed some hot water for my daughter's cup of noodles. It ran out as I was pouring it. Feeling defeated, I turned around and a staff member named Paul asked if I needed more hot water. He went out of his way to make sure I had the right temperature water, refilled the other hot water, and asked if I wanted a cup of tea and also made sure we had utensils and napkins (which I completely forgot in my exhaustion). I appreciated that so much! I also have to mention that the breakfast included in our stay had many different options including fresh pressed juices, mixed fresh fruit, waffles, cereal, bacon, eggs, etc. Rooms are quiet, and pool is nice. We booked this room because we expected a suite. Not sure where the miscommunication happened, but it wasn't a suite. It was a two queen bed room, and very small, you could barely walk around it was so narrow. And thin walls so we could hear lots of noise from all around. Would not stay there again. read more

Great customer service , friendly staff. The hotel grounds were clean and quiet. The rooms looked and smelled fresh and the beds were very comfortable. The rooms included a coffee pot, refrigerator and a microwave. The complimentary breakfast is definitely worth getting up for. If your a coffee drinker you'll appreciate the complimentary coffees available 24 hrs in the lobby. I noticed security cameras in the front and rear parking lot which I thought was an added security plus. Definitely will be back to stay.
