The good part of the stay was the price (for Napa), allowing pets, the front desk help was so kind and knowledgeable (Hannah was her name I believe) but all employees I encountered were very helpful. The breakfast was really good and convenient. The parking was ample and well lit. I'm just starting my rewards with Hilton because I have several travel plans coming up the next couple of years. The "bad" was that the room we were in #410, there was two lights that didn't work. The light in front of the mirror, next to the TV and the light above where the carpet meets the floor. Also, I felt like the image I saw didn't convey that cats could get under the beds. It looked like it was down to the ground, solid frame. It was challenging getting them in the carriers the last day. The water pressure in the sink was low. read more

We've stayed here twice now and I have to say the accommodations are very nice and fantastic value. One of the main reasons we chose to stay here is that they are pet friendly for a flat fee of $75. Basically for them to shampoo the carpet. This allows us to bring our doggie on a trip!! I can live with that. Room is clean and in good condition. Bathroom is spacious and mold free! Two queen beds gave us both room to spread out. Room service is every other day. Not sure if you can ask for every day or not. Pretty sure you can at least get fresh towels from the staff at any time. One issue is that the air conditioner is loud so no way for me to use it at night. It works well to cool the room during the day but luckily it wasn't that hot during our stay. Our stay came with breakfast which can save you money by not having to go out for breakfast. So we felt better splurging on snacks and dinner. They serve DIY waffles, scramble eggs or premade omelet, sausage patties (I like these), home fried potatoes, toast, bagels, yogurt, granola, cereal, hot oatmeal, hard boiled eggs, pastries, juices, coffee and tea. All in all a simple breakfast with plenty of options. It's not gourmet by any means but it sure fills you up for a day of wine tasting. There's a pool out back and a patio with fire pit that we did not use. Plenty of parking out front and back. But note the hotel is located near a theater and gym which I think a lot of visitors end up taking some spots close to the hotel. Situated close to the freeway and 5 minutes or so to downtown Napa and Oxbow. The location is perfect. We drove to Yountville and St Helena which are about only 20-30 minutes away. read more

We were in the Napa area on a whim. We were able to book a room last minute. Darius was the front desk agent and even after arriving late in the evening he acknowledged our Hilton Honors status, he thanked us, upgraded our room, and offered us a free beverage and snack. Since hotels are franchised not every Hilton treats you with the same respect. Our room was massive (the size of 2 rooms). The breakfast was good. We left behind a personal item and the hotel notified us and mailed it to us which was very honorable. The hotel is also in a small mall which has a movie theater and a few restaurants. There is another mall across the street with a Target, Supermarket, In-N-Out, and a few other restaurants. It is also a 5 minute drive to downtown Napa One complaint many might have is there is a charge for parking. We actually won free parking, but the parking lot in the complex is very large, I don't know how they can enforce parking in the general parking lot (which is free). Due to the good customer service, convenient location, and great amenities nearby I highly recommend this hotel. read more

A really comfortable stay at the Hampton Inn in Napa. While pretty central, def not walkable to the downtown area. However, conveniently located next to a Target so convenient in case you forget your toiletries or want to grab a few snacks from the market. Two couples in a 2-queen room was comfortable. Spacious enough although no room for a sofa. However, there were two rolling ottomans that doubled as seats for our other two guests who were staying next door to us. Friendly and responsive staff, they accommodated a request for us to have two rooms next to each other on separate reservations. Maritza and Cynthia were our main contacts and both very polite. They were also quick with any additional requests we had after requesting via the chat function on the app. They also have a pretty solid breakfast including self-serve made-to-order waffle stations, egg and veggie omelettes, potatoes, and sausage patties, along with oatmeal, cereal, and all the fixins included in the stay. And breakfast was from 6 to 10am with a large enough dining room to accommodate hotel guests for breakfast. Overall a great place to stay and while cheaper options exist, this was well worth the extra money for the comfort and included breakfast. $20/day for overnight parking wasn't terrible and a good amount of spots, as well as stalls for vanpools. read more

We stayed here for 2 nights in 2 rooms near each other on the 3rd floor. The hotel itself is modern and newer. The staff members were all very pleasant and helpful when we had any requests or questions. They have a security guard at the door in the evenings which is nice for safety and to keep an eye on cars in the parking lot. The hotel is very close to shopping, restaurants etc. including 2 incredible taco pop ups along the main road, a 3-4 minute walk from the lobby. The rooms were clean, and spacious with large bathrooms, refrigerators, and some cubes for seating. I would definitely stay here again but hope they change their parking policy as they charge for parking even though it's in a large shopping center with a movie theater, gym etc. the breakfast was decent and had a good variety of items including make your own waffles. read more

Overall I had a pretty good stay. I find the 1-Queen room to be spacious. Though there's only one luggage holder, I appreciate that there's two ottomans for other guests to put their luggage on if needed. I found the beds to be comfortable, though I could use firmer pillows. But I slept fine nonetheless. I also liked that they used wired shelves that pull out so your clothes don't smell like wood. The bathroom is also spacious with plenty of counter space. The shower pressure was fine. And the amenities were refillable, which I appreciate. I didn't use much of the shower amenities, just the hand soap and body lotion which were of good quality. I also appreciate that there was more than one towel hook! I find it so annoying when rooms that can accommodate 4 guests only have one hook the bathroom. The only negative comment I have about the bathroom is that the water bottles are there. I don't think that's sanitary... I highly doubt they are replaced if the last guest didn't use them. And if they are replaced, then that's a waste of water and plastic unless they use the water elsewhere. I just don't think any food/drink item should be near a toilet. The area around the hotel is okay. The rooms that face the west have a nice view of the park and river. I even saw a hot air balloon land right outside! The hotel is next to a strip mall where Carabao, which is the top 25 restaurants in Napa, is located. There's also a cute coffee shop, other eateries, and a movie theatre. The only issue is that it's poorly lit at night and there is are unhoused people nearby so it doesn't feel safe walking that short distance. I would probably stay somewhere close to downtown next time, but the Hampton is a good option if you're on a budget. read more

Located in the big lot that centers Cinemark theatre and Shape Up gym right off of Socal Ave in Napa....its a really good place to get value accomadations for your dollar. The lobby contains the dinning room for breakfast and a nice store to pick up food items, otc medicines, and a few selections of wine. Has a pool, meeting rooms for business or pleasure and a very equiped gym its all you need to get away from home even if you're not that far away from home. I never had such a difficult push back from any Hilton chain than this Hampton Inn & Suites Napa. I flew from Ontario to SMF from 6 AM, went straight to survey one facility, and by 5 pm, I noticed that my digital room key was not available (in which this was one of my biggest factor in choosing a lodging). I chatted with the hotel and the customer service Sherry replied it was because they need my credit card to pay for parking and incidental. NEVER as in my State Surveyor experience I was requested for my personal credit card. So we emailed back and forth and informed her the authorization already sent to Sarina something yesterday and I did not have to provide anything. She replied that Sarina no longer worked here, so I asked for another contact, in which I emailed and faxed. Once I got here, about 7 pm, I could not use my State digital card too she said "We dont have that capacity because we are not owned by Hilton. We are a franchise. Like me, even thou I worked here, I am not a Hilton employee." OMGOSH imagine that. I supposed to stay here Monday to Friday, and since the power hungry Sherry will charge State one non refundable night, I stayed in for tonight and will find other place tomorrow to Friday. By the way, usually companies were more accomodating with things like this, including waived the cancellation fee. The room is spacious but I dont get it why it was called suite when there was no couch, only bed, one work table, and no microwave/ coffees amenities. The lobby filled with a lot of under-reserved population demographic as well. Sherry gladly interacted happily with them, but very poor customer service for me. Glad I did not take my kids here and glad I could move somewhere else tomorrow. read more

What I noticed is that if I spend New Year's eve in Napa, the following year is amazing. So, I decided to book a trip with my kids and parents and spend the new year in Napa. I'm on a super tight budget with attorney fees and all, so I booked Hampton Inn because it was incredibly affordable and not only that, there's a delicious free breakfast. This hotel is a no frills hotel and is conveniently located in a shopping area close to Target, movie theaters, Jack in the Box etc. During our stay, it was raining but it was fine! We booked two rooms and they were assigned right next to each other which was amazing. The front desk was friendly, they had a great free breakfast which consisted of waffles, eggs, sausage, toast etc. Our beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. This is the first time we visit Napa and decide to actually stay in Napa. My bf had Hilton points to use for this hotel and we decided to stay for 2 nights. It is located really close to multiple casual food places, grocery store, movie theatre and there is a gym next to it. They have parking on the front, but during gym peak hours it might get crowded. The hotel looks clean and welcoming. They have a small shop just in case you forget something and they have a wide selection of wines. Our room was enough for what we needed and it had a small mini fridge, no microwave. They offer free buffet style breakfast in the morning which includes: bagels, pastries, eggs, yogurt, fruit, varied hot food and waffles. I love fresh waffles so I was happy! They have toppings like granola, butter, whip cream, cream cheese, honey, jams, Nutella, etc. The hot items varied every day and included some egg item, carb item and other protein. I feel like it was a decent breakfast to stay your day. The day that we needed to do our checkout, we were packing a bit of in a rush because we had to go to another hotel and get ready for a wedding. My bf travels with a small pillow from the Purple Brand. He had misplaced an AirPod so he checked everywhere in the sheets until we found it. In this process, we left the pillow behind. We knew once we got to the other hotel that we had forgotten it at this hotel. We called and let them know, they informed us that they hadn't found it yet but would let us know. Not a big deal, not even 1 day had gone by and they may not have cleaned the room yet. We called the following morning and were told that there was no pillow left behind and asked if we were sure. We told them we were 100% sure and described the pillow. I told my bf that we needed to drive back to go and get it since we weren't that far away. Once we got there, it seemed like they hadn't even started looking for it and couldn't find it. My bf was very upset at this point since we knew we left it there and it was in a greyish case which should stand out. They said they would let us know once they find it. We called later in the day and no pillow. The manager told us that she was checking if she could expense a replacement pillow but if we would want points instead. We did not want points, we wanted the pillow. About 2 days later my bf got a call that they found the pillow. They questioned if we had used the ice machine which we hadn't because the pillow was found on top of the ice machine with the ice bucket. To us it seems like a cleaning lady was planning on keeping it and had hidden it for a few days until it cooled down but we were too insistent. Thankfully they shipped it back us and we have it now. We will place an AirTag on it. This being said, be careful what you leave and don't believe everything they say. read more

The hotel is in a convenient area close to a shopping center with a Target, In-N-Out, and plenty of other businesses nearby, which made it really easy to grab anything we needed. The rooms were big, clean, and comfortable, and the staff kept everything well maintained throughout our stay. I especially enjoyed the hot tub--it was perfect for relaxing after the wedding--and the gym was really nice and well equipped. They also include breakfast, which was a great bonus. Great location! "Minor" renovations done a few years ago, but it looks like that was mainly done in the lobby and dining areas. Rooms are overdue for an update. Beds are hard...not "firm"...just hard. Odd smell (like water in the carpet that didn't dry properly, or old wet dirt). Either way, the smell was off-putting. On top of that, they have the audacity to charge $20 for parking, when there is literally hundreds of parking spaces in the adjacent lots of In-Shape gym, and the Century/Cinemark theater. Comes off as a cheap and unnecessary money grab on the part of the location and Hilton. I would have given it 4 stars if it wasn't for that. Breakfast was good though. The Hampton Inn by Hilton is a great addition to the many lodging options in Napa. This was our first stay at this location and found it to be a nice property. We stayed a total of 3 nights and their prices were of great value compared to other properties in the area. The rooms are spacious with large bathrooms that have big standalone showers. Rooms had fridges, sitting area and plenty of places to store your clothes. Breakfast is included with the price of the room and we found the breakfast to be some of the best we have experienced at any Hampton Inn in the United States. They have a pool, outdoor sitting area, gym and a small store on site. The hotel is within easy access to several restaurants, a movie theater and a huge health club. Parking can be a bitch and they missed cleaning our room 1 day. If not for those issues this property would have earned 5 stars. We visit Napa 2-3 times a year. We will definitely put the Hampton Inn & Suites on our short list of properties to stay. read more

Not a good experience.. 1st the website boasts "river view" rooms (for more money of course), which I booked. Wow, the view was actually the parking lot! Though I did see an unhoused person off in the distance (mind you still not by the river) who was scavenging around the brush doing whatever :( Thank goodness I was on an upper floor because the glass slider door lock was busted and could not be secured. Room was good size, but floor was dirty. The bathroom sink was clogged/would not drain. The refrigerator was filthy yuk. Parking was ample (for the gym, movie and other businesses surrounding) and cost $18 per night. I wonder if the other businesses charge to park too. Breakfast was meh. I was reading the previous comments about this hotel. I think there are many different rooms available. I thought our room was quite large and there was a refrigerator and a microwave in the room. Our room was very new and clean. The room rate was less than $200 per night so I thought it was a good deal. Plus I got 2,000 Rapid Rewards points by booking through the Southwest Hotels. The hotel is located right next to the road crossing the Napa River, but I thought it was pretty quiet (windows did a good job insulating the sound). Plus I got a free ice cream for my level in the Hilton Rewards program. read more

We stayed here two night and the place is nice. Modern and nice lobby sitting area. The rooms are small but the rest rooms are a decent size. No valet. Parking is easy and free. The parking lot is adjacent to several eateries, movie theatres, shopping and not far from Napa valley college. They clean the room daily as long as you request it. The service was good. I would stay here again. This hotel is not far from Downtown Napa and the Blue Note Jazz Festival, I attended. They have cable television. A refrigerator inside room. Our room had no safe. They had plenty of outlets to charge your phone. They have a gym and pool that's cool and a small little snack bar downstairs next to the front counter. It's very quiet and a nice place to bring a family. The surroundings, remind of home. They need to have separate door for the closet and bathroom. If one person is in bathroom and the other is in the closet it creates at possible injury to someone if the other person does not know they will be opening sliding door. Looks new and clean. The price and location are great for exploring Napa. The room is a little small but clean and fresh. This hotel is at a great price point compared to nearby hotels and is a great value when one considers the location, room size, free breakfast and amenities. The hotel is located as a freestanding building in a shopping center that also contains a gym, movie theatre, dental office and multiple casual restaurants. A government office is adjacent to the hotel and has a soup kitchen and resource center for the homeless population. We saw multiple homeless in and around the parking lot. The hotel charges a mandatory fee of $15 per day for security guards in the parking lot. During our stay we did notice multiple cars with smashed windows . There is also a homeless tent encampment behind the hotel. We never had problems with them and most were gracious when we offered them money or food. Just something to be aware of. During our stay in Napa Valley we were surprised at the number of homeless throughout the valley. The staff were efficient and helpful. Breakfast at this Hampton was the BEST breakfast that I have ever had at any Hampton property. The buffet area was clean and there was a daily selection of scrambled eggs, omelettes, potatoes, sausages, fruits, muffins, toast and bagels. The beverage area had juices and surprisingly good coffee. The swimming pool was cloudy the duration of our stay and my intuition told me not to go in the water. The hot tub was nonfunctional. I have had pools before and this pool needed treatment and cleaning. A shame because we were looking forward to enjoying the pool and hot tub. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and we would make it our first choice on a return trip. read more

My advice: look for another location. This location is located next to a pretty run-down shopping center, homeless shelter and animal shelter. We were afraid to leave anything in our car because there were a lot of rough looking characters walking around and to top it off the Hampton charges $18 to park and it's not like they provide any security. The hotel it self lacked service like only one person working the front desk at check in and check out with lines forming through the lobby. The breakfast lacked variety and freshness and the coffee was weak and bad. They ask you if you want your room serviced or points?? I chose to have the room cleaned and we left for the day to come back to a dirty room. That was rectified and the room was cleaned after 3pm. Also, we went out in the evening and noticed the garbage can by the front door was very full. When we got back that evening trash was spilling over and in front of the main entrance. We notified the girl at the front desk and 12 hours later (the next morning) nothing had been touched. No desire for a clean and inviting stay at all. All of the above reasons made our stay a lot less desirable and we will think twice before staying at another Hampton but definitely never going back to this location. read more

Stay elsewhere, I had better experience at the Marriott even though it was further from downtown. They originally placed us in room 429, I included photos of the "view". I went downstairs and asked to be changed since the view outside the window was of the freeway and a homeless encampment. The bed was ok, pillows were horrible. The couch was also a log... they do allow dogs, so that was an upside. Anyways we came home from dinner around 9, and there was surely some sketchy people in the parking lot. One guy who appeared to be on drugs just violently shaking his head in his car, and a few more just walking around the parking lot. I'm born and raised in Oakland... but this hotel was just ghetto. To top it all off, housekeeping woke us up pounding the doors at like 8:15AM on a Friday. read more

I had two major complaints. I had 2 rooms reserved and arrived at 12:45 PM to see if I could check into one of the rooms. I was told the room was available but since I was a couple of hours early I would be charged an extra $40. Even though I am a Hilton Honors member I was still charged an extra $40. I have never had this happen at this type of hotel. Parking was $20 and paid and accessed through a QR code posted at the counter. The app defaulted to a much earlier time then when I was purchasing my 24 hours parking. When I asked the front desk clerk if this could be fixed, she was totally indifferent. It was the same type of response as when I asked about the $40 charge for checking in early. For this type of hotel there are other options which I will take advantage in the future. Room was average, nothing special but no issues. I will add that the hotel's website indicates daily maid service but the room has a sign that maid service is every other day. read more

Great location in Napa where you can easily bike along a trail behind the Inn or leisurely stroll it. There are many stores surrounding the Inn such as Target, Michael's, a theatre & other shops. It is also close to Downtown 1st Street so this Inn is strategically placed. The room was beautiful & perfect for a family of 4. Although there aren't really any drawers to put clothes in(unless you consider a 3 wire pull out drawers a compartment to place clothes), so for 1 night's stay it was ok to live out of my carrying case or hang clothes in the closet. I really appreciate how breakfast was still complimentary & served from 6am-9am on a weekday. The selection of food was great (oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, toast, omelette, sausage, & make your own banana or vanilla waffle. The person in charge was very warm & welcoming with her joyful morning greeting & invitation to eat more. She absolutely loves people & it shows. The other amenity we took advantage of was the pool & jacuzzi tub. Despite the windy conditions, it was nice to just relax in the jacuzzi & take the Napa air in. Last but not least was the gym. Although I didn't get a chance to use it, I really appreciate that it was an open gym with no time restriction of when it opens or closes. I was told I need to pay a deposit for some silly thing but then found that there is no way to get the deposit back. It was a fee they called "a deposit". I was charged $18 a night for parking when there was a huge lot and plenty of parking. I left something in the room and when I went back that evening, I was told that they couldn't find it. Good hotel to stay at. Free hot breakfast that has a good selection, along with amenities like an outdoor pool, fitness center, and business center. The staff here are always friendly and have a smile on their face. A few suggestions I would like to make for improvement would be having a bigger trash can in the rooms. They are way too small to dispose of anything. Also, there are no microwaves in any of the rooms except the suites. You would have to book a suite or go down to the lobby and use the microwave near the snack area. I know it might not be a standard offering at hotels regarding this, but for a hotel that seems a little more upscale, you would think they would have it. read more
