I had the worst stay here. The hotel is very old and outdated, with worn-out, uncomfortable beds. The soundproofing is non-existent I could hear everything in the next room. I also felt unsafe because there was a large piece missing from the bottom of my door. While the staff was nice and the room was clean, the building itself is in rough shape. I wouldn't recommend this place if you want a modern or quiet stay. read more

Everything was amazing here when you walk in it's nice simple modern. Then when you get to the room it's a very good space I just wish there was a little more space in the bedroom area. The breakfast was topnotch, they would change it up a little bit which is good! They had a lot for handicap people it is very accessible. The pool was pretty nice. The front desk people were AMAZING. The shop was really cheap and reasonable for hotel prices. They had coffee and hot chocolate all day. The gym was spotless amazing. It's close to a lot of things. I normally can't sleep in hotels but this one was a game changer. This is probably one of the best hotels I could stay at. The bathrooms are a very decent size. If I had the chance to stay here again I would in a split second! Love this place. Don't know why it doesn't have better reviews. read more

I truly do not understand why this hotel does not have more positive reviews. This is one of the nicer hotels I've stayed at in the Gilbert area. Upon walking in, I knew that this would be a great accommodation. The hotel is SPOTLESS, with touched-up paint throughout and consistent cleaning, and everyone from the front desk to housekeeping is warm, welcoming, and helpful. As for the room itself, the beds are EXTREMELY comfortable, and the air conditioning works very well. I do wish there was a TAD more storage space for clothes, but overall, I have zero complaints. read more

Upon arrival I met Ashley who was super helpful and welcoming. She recognized immediately that I was a diamond member and thanked me. That's refreshing many Hilton properties neglect that small piece. She offered me what snacks I wanted. Easy to check in. She gave me the run down of all the areas and when breakfast was, pool location, etc. Went up to my room and was pleased with how clean the room was. No issues. Very odd plumbing in shower but nothing to complain about. If there was one thing I was taken back by was the diamond parking is very oddly placed. It's spread out in different areas that don't really feel diamond. All hotels I've stayed at normally put it in the front and they are all together. Must be a reason for this for this location but again not something to complain about. I'm sitting in the very clean, hot jacuzzi while writing this review. Pool looks very nice and clean. Even has a little water fall I see. Overall I have to call out Ashely as she has been so awesome. Text to see how my room was, responded to my text about the jacuzzi quickly. Give this girl a raise. I love sleeping there there breakfast is always the best we stay there almost every time

We had unexpected guests at our stay recently. The little guys made a meal out of my husband. He's taking home some souvenirs from East Mesa. We were given a new room around 2am. The next morning my husband was instructed to call the manager as his day starts at 9am, a couple of hours after we checked out. We were compensated a whooping 5000 pts to a future stay. That's like $30. I was disappointed in the way this property handled this gross situation. I'm not the pickiest, but I'm not sharing my bed with flesh eating cave dwellers. lol. What can improve? Maybe clean the bedding? Take responsibility? read more

Stayed one night during soccer tournament season. First, the walls. Are thin, and we could hear the people in the next room talking. The bed and pillow were lumpy, not super comfortable. But worse. we were on the 4th floor, and for some reason they put kids in the room above us who were running, stomping and banging until midnight. I called the office twice to get them to do something about it. Didn't get enough sleep for the long drive home the next day, and all the girl at checkout said was they would fine them for being noisy after curfew. The reservation was in my friend's name. Stayed here 3/13-3/18. The hotel was very busy and completely booked. Check-in was chaotic due to a large number of adults and kids that took over the dining area. Kids running around unsupervised we could hardly hear the desk clerks. We had driven from south Orange County California and just wanted to get to our room. We were assured that the 5th floor would be quiet. At 11:15pm ( just as we were falling asleep) a loud mechanical noise started. It was shaking the whole room- including floor and beds. It was not our A/C or heater unit. My friend called the front desk to complain. The clerk came up to our room- very nice young lady but clearly not trained to handle the situation. She left our room to call the manager. She called us and told us the manager said " tell them it's the wind and give them ear plugs." We were in disbelief. There was no wind. The noise continued and got louder. We waited 45 minutes to see if the noise would stop. At midnight we started searching for a hotel- the noise continued. We found a Quality Inn about 7 miles away, took what we needed for the night and next morning and left. The desk clerk offered no apologies as we explained we were leaving and would be back in the morning in hopes the problem would be fixed or we'd get a new room. The next morning we came back around 8:30. The new clerk on duty didn't seem to care that we had to spend the night elsewhere. We went back up to the room and the noise was still going on. Back down to the lobby my friend talked to another clerk who assured her we would get another room. While we ate breakfast we started looking for another hotel (Quality Inn was good for a night but not a weeks stay) that could accommodate us and two other people flying in that night. After breakfast we went back to the desk and told the clerk if we couldn't get another room we would be leaving for good. She said with no emotion or apology, "okay," The other clerk came over and said she found us another room on the 4th floor that was being cleaned. Great- we were happy. I must mention at no time was there an apology given or a manager brought into the conversation. On the plus side the new room was cleaned quickly so we could move there before we left for the spring training game. My friend finally spoke to the manager and got the room comped for the previous night. We had no other problems the rest of our stay other than not being able to use the pool or jacuzzi or dining area in the evening hours as the kids and their parents took over those areas. Our beds were comfortable, the shower was nice. The staff really does need some more training on how to deal with issues like we had and guests that take over common areas. A BIG shout out to the staff who provide the hot breakfast. They bust their butts every morning. The food is good with a variety of choices. Upon check out my friend asked if the noise had been fixed in our original room. She was told no - that it is the A/C unit on the roof that provides air to the hallways and that no one has ever complained about it - some people (us) are just more sensitive to the noise. Yes, things were resolved and the rest of our stay was uneventful. It would have been nice to get an apology for our inconvenience So I would suggest to future guest to not stay in room 515 if you're "sensitive" to noise and don't want your floors and bed shaking you awake. read more

By far the worse Hilton I've ever stayed in. Made my reservation and came in, they had canceled my reservation and gave my room away because I showed up late. I did try and check in by the app and called but no answer. I arrive and it took them over 30 mins to give me another room but then my room showed up and they wanted to charge me an extra $100. I had issues here last time I tried and hoped things would change as I'm a Hilton member. Again, by far the worse Hilton I have stayed at. The staff and management don't care about their guest. The touch-less sanitizer dispensers that I passed multiple times throughout my stay were always empty. My room had a Samsung TV, and the provider was DirecTV. The 36-button non-lighted remote had no instructions and was frustrating to use. The TV screen blinked often and was annoying. I tried to cast YouTube TV from my phone, but since it was not a Smart TV, I ended up watching TV on my laptop instead. At the buffet breakfast, I noticed an odd-looking stacked pile of thin omelets that were all the same size. I was curious and scooped one onto my plate. After I sliced it open and saw it was a frozen microwaved omelet filled with cheese, I threw it out. Next, I scooped up the softest scrambled eggs I ever had onto my plate. I needed to get a spoon to eat them since my fork did not work. The scrambled eggs were barely yellow, tasteless, and seemed as if it is diluted with milk. The TV cabinet has self-close door hinges are not adjusted properly and have no door bumpers. If I did not hold the small pull-handle tightly when I close it manually, it would slam shut loudly. What is most interesting, is that I heard the exact same slamming sound from the rooms next to me. My room was the noisiest I ever had. I could hear footsteps from guests walking above me, guests speaking and their TVs in the rooms around me, cabinet doors slamming around me, and occasionally trucks on the nearby US-60 in the late evening. My room had a type of pull-up facial tissue that was new to me. Instead of a box, it had a sealed plastic bag that was inside the decorative tissue box that was permanently stuck. Their inferior 1-ply toilet paper works well in the hotel plumbing but disintegrates when using it. On the positive side, the WiFi worked very well and there were no parking fees. read more

I made a reservation while going through the Mesa Safeway and that's where the good experience started. I got great service from a super helpful and outgoing service rep. He was coming to the end of his shift, but didn't rush me off the phone. He made sure I was well taken care of and I truly appreciated that. The hotel's staff was equally friendly and the ladies handling the breakfast area were the best. They were friendly and efficient, kept the place neat and clean, and had made a really good breakfast sandwich. The room was well appointed and In a great location- near freeway, stores, and coffee shops (though the breakfast area had really good coffee so, save the money). We stayed here when driving through and seeing relatives in Gilbert. Location is easy to find and the property seemed clean and well-maintained. Easy, well-lit parking. The staff were polite and professional. Paid $179 for a King standard on a weekday and was pleased with the cleanliness of the room and how well maintained it was. The bed was new it seemed, and the furniture very comfortable. The wifi worked very well, and was able to Facetime with no lagging. The shower was clean, well lit with a clean fabric liner, and the water was hot with good pressure. All towels were clean and the place looked like it had had a recent facelift. Fridge was cold and microwave was clean. We slept well and considered staying longer but had to return to the coast. Had no problems during the stay, they even had packets of hot sauce to give us and plastic-ware when the food that was delivered lacked condiments and utensils. Nice experience. read more

We stayed 4 nights at this Hampton Inn while in the Mesa area visiting family. We were able to check in early our first day, and Katie was very helpful with my credit card issue right off the bat. Our room was on the 2nd floor. It was super quiet and extremely comfortable. The room was very clean and all the staff that we saw were observing Covid restrictions well. We chose not to have the room cleaned while we stayed because we mainly spent the days visiting family and not dirtying the room up, and they were great about just allowing us to pick up clean towels as we needed them at the front desk. Speaking of the front desk, every time we came and went, whoever happened to be sitting at the desk either said "See you later! Have a great day!" or "Welcome back!" in the evenings. The afternoon we left for my niece's wedding, all of the front desk staff kindly told us how nice we looked. :) The breakfasts offered daily were very filling. They were served by someone so that you weren't going through a buffet. Many different offerings. The little microwave in the "pantry" area was clean and available to be used at any time as well. Anytime we're in the area visiting family, we'll make our reservations at this Hampton Inn. This is a really good place to stay if you really want a cheap hotel , down on your luck, needing somewhere to crash when you're low on cash. This is the place they have great quick free breakfast don't expect too much get some toast grab a few yogurts they have brand name ones there and get some fresh juice and quick eggs , the waffle maker is great for the kids. They have an ice machine on the first floor and a pool at the property which get great shade so take advantage. Showers are excellent and make sure to turn it to cold for the last 3 minutes of your shower before getting out. The staff is great especially the front desk lady (older woman) I believe she is the manager and she is very nice and will work with you but she does stick by the book. You don't see any suspect people coming in there given the area can sometimes be suspect outside however this place is truly a hidden gem. Right by the mall and an old carvana dealership behind what looks like an old Johnny rockets. Seriously a good place to get to if you're in a jam read more

A little out of the way for my sales visits but well worth it! I had just stayed at two different Doubletrees the days before and under-impressed is putting it mildly. This Hampton was cleaner, nicer and the staff was friendlier than either of them. They put both of the Doubletrees to shame. I was grateful to be properly greeted and made to feel like a valued guest by Michael. The whole place was clean and up to date. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. I received several texts during my stay asking how my room was and how my stay was going. Traveling alone I prefer to stay somewhere with a restaurant on site for dinner. Several great restaurants that the staff recommended are very close by. The Cracker Barrel is in the same parking lot technically. The breakfast buffet was very good with plenty of options. Hot and cold. I grabbed a to go bag my last day for the long drive home! It was perfect! I'm a Gold Member and have stayed at a lot of Hampton's - this one is definitely one of the best. I will be in Phoenix two or three times a year and this will be my go to. read more

Made a reservation over a week ago, and their system was down. Receptionist confirmed that she will make sure the reservation goes in and everything is fine. Called the receptions desk to confirm and they never placed my reservation. They were more than happy to set a new reservation for twice the price. After being transferred around for 40 minutes and then hung up on. I highly recommend finding other hotels for your needs. The customer service and their ability to keep their system straight was horrible. Nor did they wish to want to help correct their own mistakes. I will never stay in a Hampton/Hilton hotel again. Yelp will only allow me to go as low as one star. I would place zero if possible. read more

Super cozy hotel. Check in was very simple and fast, friendly front desk staff had no issues! Parking lot and hotel is pretty empty during the day up until 6-8ish pm where parking starts to fill up and everyone is in the hotel. Rooms were clean had no issues with cleanliness of the room! Bed was very comfy! The AC was on when we first entered and is controlled by the thermostat. Everything was open (pool,gym dinning etc.) and there's breakfast in the morning (which is FREE!) Parking was also free! Overall great hotel! BE AWARE that the walls are PAPER THIN. You can hear everything that the people next/around you are doing (walking,moving things etc.) and when people walk by your room they hear EVERYTHING. My checkin time was for 3pm. I made arrangements for a digital key. My room was NOT ready. My wifi crashed numerous times. Using both AT&T as well as Hilton. I asked 3 times to please fill the water dispenser located by the elevator. Not once did it get filled. Every time I wanted to fill a cup it was empty. I wish I can leave some photo evidence of everything but I honestly didn't even think about it. Some info: due to my partners work, we've stayed in this particular hotel for at least a year. The company my partner works for pays for our room. Since we live a state over, we usually return home to visit the family for a few days before returning to the hotel. First the rooms are so dirty. The inside of the drawers are dusty. The kitchen counters a full of grime and grease (I usually have to thoroughly clean kitchen utensils because their extremely filthy). Under the kitchen sink there's always a mess. I had to clean cobwebs and kill a big spider under there during one of my stays. Some of the furniture is broken or damaged--there was one time I sewed a hole from the threaded seat-back of a rolling chair because I didn't want to pay for damages I didn't make. One room had a horrible mess of orangey moss along the edges of the shower. Another incident was when management tried to charge us for damages to a TV that was broken before we even booked the room. And it wouldn't be the last time management "accidentally" charged my card. Several times in fact (up to $400). I had to continuously speak to the managers in the front desk because they charged my card $25 which they kept trying to "convince" me it was because a purchased a snack from their pantry (I'd never buy anything that's clearly overpriced). After confirming with my partner about the nonexistent purchase, I went back and the managers brushed my complaints and told me to call my bank. I did, the bank said the only solution they had was to cancel the card which wasn't an option for me. It wasn't until 5/7 months later (and many attempts to resolve the issue) that a young male employee at the front desk finally was able to help me. The housekeeping is sometimes abysmal (depending on certain housekeeping staff). Some of the staff is down right rude and degrading. I caught one of the staff rolling her eyes and making faces behind my back because I asked for a change in sheets. There was an incident when I left my trash properly bagged outside my door (as per hotel COVID policy) and the staff member that just happened to be there while I was walking back to my room muttered not-so-quietly that: "only a stupid person would do this." I got allergic reactions during three separate hotel visitations (I knew it was the hotel rooms because every time I went back to my house the symptoms would go down). My eyes and my face were suffering an allergic reaction and for the life of me, I couldn't find what in those three separate rooms was causing me to swell up. I got so fed up with the itching and the pain I asked for a room change. I had to buy several medications to help with the allergies until they finally subsided. The final (but not last) incident that I'll bring up in this post happened just awhile ago. I went to wash my clothes in the hotel laundry-mat and while I was pulling my clothes out of the drier I slipped on the cover of the drain that wasn't properly drilled on. This was the second time I slipped on the loose cover. Even my daughter has slipped (twice) on the same loose cover. I'm an older woman and if my foot had caught into the drain I could've fallen horribly and could've been seriously injured. I got so fed up I decided to take the loose cover and show the employees at the front desk. I didn't want a discount (it wouldn't really benefit me anyway) or compensation, I just wanted them to understand my frustrations with the management of this hotel. *I am not the person who went thru this but I was given permission to share these issues. Comfortable hotel located close to the freeway. Very Comfortable beds and well maintained. There are a couple of fast food restaurants nearby, but you will likely have to drive a ways to find a nicer place to eat. I would have given them a higher rating, but the staff did not show much concern over Covid . We spent three days, and I cringed every time I observed the front desk staff not wearing masks, or just covering their mouth. Walking around the public without a mask, reusing a single disposable glove to fix the breakfast at the front desk. When no one was close by, they did not even bother to wear masks among them selves. Also the hand sanitizers one each floor were empty and never refilled. I did speak with them the first day, but they never took anything seriously. This place Might be fine once they train their staff, or hold them accountable. read more

Outstanding! Everyone was so incredibly kind and helpful, like in the good ol' days. The hotel upkeep and cleanliness are exceptional. The self-serve breakfast was perfect for us; everything tasted good and we were able to get in there and eat quickly, which was important since we had an early appointment at MD Anderson (conveniently right across the street). There is also a variety of restaurants nearby and both a convenience store and large grocery store about a block away. I would certainly stay here again. Extremely clean, modern Hampton. Stayed here one night on a recent trip up to the Mesa area. It was very convenient given its location is right off the freeway. The staff was very friendly, solid Hampton breakfast and a restful sleep. I love that they have 'digital key' which allowed me to check in 24 hours before my stay, select my room and walk right up to it when I arrived without stopping at the front desk. read more

The staff at the front desk were kind and accommodating. They were also extremely friendly. The breakfast and coffee in the morning were great. One of the desk staff members even called my cell phone to report an item I had forgotten. Two of the three cleaning staff were absolutely awful. Complaining in front of guests and also rolling their eyes and being rude. One of the ladies appeared to be some sort of manager. Two hours before check out time they were complaining that my do not disturb sign was hanging oN my door. Unprofessional. The walls and floors are very thin, so you will hear every sound, even with earplugs. read more

I made the dreaded mistake of double booking myself for the same evening at two different hotels. I called the Hilton Honors number and they put in a credit request for me. Austin the Hampton Inn manager in Gilbert approved the credit. According to the terms of my reservation he didn't need to do that. He and the staff are awesome at the hotel. Very accommodating and friendly! The hotel is also well kept and cleanly. I highly recommend this Hampton Inn. read more
