Pretty nice hotel.....we didn't have a reservation... so grateful they had a room.....we were really tired.... Spent 7 hours inside Yellowstone driving from location to location......then we drove a couple hours to get here....... not much to see around the area, but we were more interested in rest.... Wendy's is in the parking lot....so you don't have to go far for food....

Very nice place. Our room was very nice and spacious liked the dual window blinds that allow you to easily control the light in the room. Nice bathroom with only s shower. Plenty of towels and amenities. A free breakfast is included. Breakfast includes eggs, sausage, breads, cereal, and many more items. Staff is very good and accommodating. We needed an early checkin which they easily accommodated. Would definitely stay here again.

    Limited if late for breakfast!!!

Nice local Hampton Inn, that stays busy in the Summer Folks!!! Stayed 3 days to enjoy the National Parks and really enjoyed this place. Close to everything and priced very reasonable. Now you might want to get down to the Breakfast earlier than later they tend to run out and 10:00 the doors are closed!!!

Shower door looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a while.

Rooms were spacious and comfortable to our liking. They had an ice machine, a couple low stocked vending machines and a large dining room area. The breakfast included the basics: cereal, oatmeal, fruit, waffles, yogurt and then some hot food. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Rexburg AmericInn is a relaxing and pleasant location to wind down. Will say, their little fridge/freezer was set on the coldest setting. So when we left a Kombucha in there it did explode and leave a mess everywhere.

As a family that always travels with a dog, we have been around the block and do everything that we can to make sure there are no issues. We read the website, checked to make sure rooms were available before we made the drive. And then checked again a few minutes before we arrived. We even called the number to the hotel, which takes you to a person who is not on site at the location and he advised us he didn't see why we couldn't book the room . When we arrived, we checked online a third time and there were Jacuzzi rooms available for the two nights we wanted to stay. My husband headed in to book the room and I started to get our things together. Just a few minutes later he was walking out the front doors shaking his head. He stated that the only room you can book here if you have a dog is a double queen standard room. That is definitely not what we wanted and not what we drove here for. If you are traveling with a pet, I do not recommend staying here. We were able to find a competing hotel with a king sized bed, fireplace and kitchenette at a better price in just a few minutes where our dog was actually welcome.

We were told the hotel would be quiet since it was only 1/3 booked. However, we discovered that since this room was adjacent to the stairs it was noisy all night with people thumping up and down until 1:30 and again starting at 3:00 through 5:30. I talked to the desk manager about this following the first night and he offered a different room but since he said the hotel would certainly be quieter the upcoming night we opted not to go through the hassle of changing rooms. Well it was not quieter, if anything noisier, people thumping up and down the stairs until 2:00 in the morning and again starting at 3:45. I talked to the manager again after the second night suggesting perhaps they should comp one night of our stay. He refused to do so saying that he couldn't do anything since we had booked online and not directly through the hotel. The hotel personnel must know how noisy the rooms adjacent to the stairs are. I suggest that the stairs adjacent rooms should not be assigned until all other rooms are full, they are the worst rooms in the hotel. I sensed a prejudice towards customers who book online. I would never stay at this hotel again. One front desk employee was just plain rude when I came to discuss the noisy stairs after the second night. The desk manager guy was pleasant enough but displayed a prejudice toward customers who book through an online service.

I am writing this review to protect future guests. What I experienced at this property was not a…read moreseries of minor inconveniences -- it was a pattern of deceptive practices, undisclosed charges, and genuinely unsafe conditions. The Cost Is Not What You'll Be Quoted I booked through Hotels.com at a confirmed total of $239.76. My card was charged $264.31 immediately by the hotel. After the wrong payment was collected, non refundable, the property sent a rental agreement -- never disclosed at booking -- containing language stating all charges are "valid and final." I was required to sign it or forfeit my entire payment with no recourse. I signed under duress. Then, I was told a $150 damage deposit was required to receive my door code. This deposit does not appear anywhere in my booking confirmation. It was not disclosed at booking. I had no choice but to pay it or have nowhere to sleep with two children, having already paid in full for a nonrefundable reservation. I have documentation of every charge. The Business Practices Are Dishonest I want to be specific about the conduct throughout this process. When I contacted the property about the overcharge, Lyn said she had no control over Hotels.com pricing and fees. Hotels.com disagreed, showed me that they didn't charge undisclosed fees and that it was the hotel, and submitted a formal waiver request to the hotel-- which they denied. I received a message from the hotel stating that I could book direct and then they could consider refunding the hotels.com charge but when I questioned it and asked for written confirmation that it would be refunded in full so I wasn't charged twice I got silence. They had full authority the entire time acknowledged by them. They chose to tell me they didn't and refused to correct the erroneous amount. Every attempt I made to resolve this reasonably -- asking for written confirmation before rebooking directly, requesting the room I actually reserved, questioning undisclosed policy-- was met with silence, deflection, or new obstacles. The rental agreement introduced after payment, the deposit demanded to get the door code, the single breakfast voucher for three guests -- none of these were disclosed at booking. All of them were collected anyway. None of it was optional without losing the payment already made. They refused to work with me or hotels.com to resolve it and instead they kept referring me to their direct booking and how everything is handled better direct including these disclosures. They should not be listing on third party services if they can't be honest and upfront via that channel. The "Breakfast Included" Claim Is Misleading The reservation states breakfast is included. I booked for three guests. There was one Denny's meal voucher. For three people. This is deliberately misleading. There were additional coupons for other locations that require you to traverse town to actually receive any of the discounts. The Room Is Not What Was Advertised There is nothing luxury about this property. The walls are damaged throughout. The blinds are broken. The bed is a handmade frame of nonstandard height -- at 5'10" I had to climb into it. The smoke detector had no batteries. The image shown shows how it was when we entered the room. I didn't touch it. The beds were firm memory foam and comfortable enough and the sheets were soft, but the skirt was dirty, also pictured. Bottom line: Go elsewhere. The room is not luxury. The costs are not disclosed. The breakfast is not included for your whole party. The facility is not confirmed safe. The business is not honest.

We rolled in later in the evening, so there were only 2 vacant rooms available. The first one they assigned us smelled heavily of wet dog (yeek), but the front desk was accommodating to reassign us to the other open room. That one was perfectly fine and what the standard I assume it usually is. The 2 queen beds room is a no frills, no nonsense, minimalistic room. They kept the room design sleek and simple with just the main bedroom with a mini fridge, corner desk, small nightstand, and tv wall-mounted in front of a small closet space. There were tiny stains on the top sheet, but nothing horrifying. Clean overall. The bathroom is modern; though, as others have mentioned, the shower design isn't the best at keeping water in since there's not much of a lip to contain the water. Front desk folks are super nice. There's an ice machine, tea and hot coffee in the lobby. Every floor also seems to have a shared break room area with a communal fridge, freezer, and tables. Hallways are clean and welp-lit. Parking is ample. Good place to stay if you're in the area and just need a place to rest before moving on.
