Not a bad hotel, but not real great either. If you just need it short term then the breakfast is okay. If you're here for more than a night or two just know that the breakfast does not change a bit. It's literally the same exact foods every single day & there's not a ton of variety. For the meat choice you'll have round sausage or link sausage. No ham, no bacon, no other meat option, just sausage. Day one is not so bad but if you have to eat it for a week or more it gets old real fast. Also, they don't clean the rooms every day. Some hotel chains have returned to good service, & some are still using Covid as an excuse to not provide excellent guest service. This is one of those hotels that leans on the past pandemic as an excuse to not have to pay employees to run a full service hotel. This hotel costs as much if not more than others that do provide the basic daily services, so it's not about being more affordable because it's not more affordable. The beds are on the firmer side, not very cushy & the pillows are all really soft & not supportive. I do like that they have a separate room for showering & getting ready, while the toilet & another sink are in a separate room. Our room also has a fairly large closet so you don't have to move around the suitcases. The swimming pool & hot tub could be a bit cleaner. Literal clusters of hair getting stuck on you as you move in the pool. Other than that it's kind of just a standard place to stay. I do like that they still provide scriptures in each room like most all hotels used to. I also like that they have hot chocolate available in the lobby. Would be a lot better if they also provided some kind of creamer but not all hotels offer hot chocolate all day so I'll call that a win. Would be a step up if they also had cookies in the evenings like other places do. Staying at as many hotels as we do it's kind of a disappointment when you're at one that doesn't offer the fresh baked cookies in the evenings. Those little extras make a big difference. read more

We had a nice time at the SpringHill Suites Rexburg. Room was nice, grounds were nice, dog friendly, pool was nice, and we used the laundry room and it was nice too. Complimentary breakfast, coffee, juice and hot chocolate. Room had a microwave. They gave us a coupon at check in for the restaurant across the parking lot. Fresco's Grill was yummy. No designated dog area, but they did have grass areas around the hotel for dogs to do their business. If you come to Idaho on a Sunday- ALOT of things are CLOSED, so plan accordingly. read more

All the staff were very nice and were able to get things done quickly; the breakfast was also very delicious and had lots of variety. The pool was indoor, a little hot but really enjoyable and also contained a spa/hot-tub. The gym was open 24/7 and contained a variety of equipment and plenty of space for any type of exercise. Pros: -Free lollipops by Chupa Chups, the signature lollipops of Springhill Suites. The front desk lady went in the back to look at their stock so that I'd have every flavor of lollipop. -Free parking, wifi, and breakfast -Cheap for a 1-night stay on a Wed night in Oct ($106/night, $8.48 for tax) -Staff didn't mind me stocking up on items at breakfast for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches due to driving through Yellowstone since most stores are closed during the off-season (fuel stations open for self-service but stores themselves are closed). -First time I've stayed in a hotel room where the bathroom for the toilet is a separate room from the main sink and shower. Cons: -Doors are VERY thin. You can hear people across the hall go in and out of their rooms. You also swear housekeeping's knocking on your door even with a "do not disturb" sign. They're not knocking on your door - the door's that thin. -The hot food at breakfast isn't any better than a Hampton Inn. -There's no white bread for breakfast! I get that Marriott is trying to get me to be all healthy, but white bread is hands down better than wheat bread for peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! -When I arrived at night, the guy at the front desk didn't know how to apply gift cards because he "hadn't been trained to do that." He requested I ask the morning staff to do it. He wasn't rude and was very apologetic, but this is something every front desk person needs to know how to do. I didn't realize until googling at dinner, but I stayed in an important town for Mormons with lots of history. I'm not Mormon myself, but I can appreciate other religions' histories. [I have been to the Conference Center in Salt Lake City with a one-on-one tour guide.] There is also a Book of Mormon in the hotel room. Once I discovered I was in a Mormon town, I told a girl at the restaurant, "Well it must be really safe here!" :-) She laughed and agreed. Overall I had a good stay. This hotel was an average hotel and the closest Marriott property to the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park I could find. This as a nice hotel... or so it seemed before we got to our room. We got a double queen with the sofa that turns into a trundle bed which was great for our family. But the first room we went to, there were cigarette butts on the floor, lime wedges, some sort of skewer stick, a Buncha of other trash, and then we starting to set up the sofa bed and the first thing we saw when we took the couch cushion off was a pair of dirty panties. The room was obviously not cleaned. They moved us to a new room without hesitation, but it definitely was not a good first impression and I personally feel like they should have done more... just kind of felt like the hotel was dirty. I'm glad our crawling baby didn't get ahold of any of the trash on the floor. read more

It's a really nice place here! I enjoyed my 2 night stay. We got a big room for 4 adults and my baby. So 2 beds and a pull out couch. I stayed on the couch, and it was pretty comfortable. My family said the beds were really comfy as well. They made our beds and cleaned the during the day while we were gone without requesting, as was expected. Really nice rooms. The breakfast was good with enough selection. I expected some fruit... no fruit. That was a bummer. But that was my only qualm... for those of us who don't want carbs we only had the eggs and meat option... not even a healthier option for natural sugars. Located on the south side of a college town, off highway 20 in Idaho, this hotel is really something unexpected. Most Springhill suites are pretty dark and they all seem the same. This place is like something out of a 1955 Science Fiction movie. Lobby and rooms are all done kind of a Art Deco mode...I keep expecting Zsa Zsa Gabor to come out from behind a curtain in a Alien Queen outfit wearing a bra with pointed tips. Room itself is bright, two washrooms, sleeping area and a business lounging area. The business part is best, nice lighting, nice sized desk, and plenty of outlets for my gizmos. For those who want it, hotel also has a pool, decent workout room, and breakfast in the morning. Far as I'm concerned this is the place to stay. P.S. Best place to stay in Rexburg! You can't ever really go wrong with a Marriott brand hotel. This location is no exception. Room: 5/5 CLEAN! Let's be honest, when it comes down to it all we really want is a clean room and comfy bed. Good news! This hotel has both a clean room and a comfortable bed. It's nice to walk into a hotel room and smell a fresh and clean room, no one wants to walk in and smell that old hotel/motel stank. Food: 4/5 It's free so there isn't a lot to complain about (and yes I realize you actually do pay for the food when you pay for your room, but whose counting?). They always have some eggs, waffles and your standard breakfast items. Service: 4.5/5 The front desk employees are always super friendly and are knowledgeable about the area. They made sure my wife had extra pillows because she's pregnant and has to sleep with 300 pillows. IN CONCLUSION: There isn't a hotel in Rexburg that even comes close to the overall comfort and experience at SpringHIll. Sleep here, wake up and be glad you don't actually live here. read more

The property is OK for what it is. Out in the middle of nowhere. It does sort of feel like Star Trek meets Martha Stewart in the design. It was nice to have more than a continental breakfast offered for free. In addition to the norm continental Breakfast, they offered either scrambled eggs or a mini omelet along with some sort of meat offering. You also can make your own waffle. The rooms are OK but they really should call this Spring Hill Jr. Suites. A large room divided by a small partition is NOT a suite! Also not a fan of the bathrooms being part of the main room. There are two separate bathrooms. In my Queen/Queen room, one bathroom was at the foot of one of the beds and had a shower and sink with sliding door. The other bath was at the foot of the other bed with a sink & toilet and another sliding door. NO PRIVACY! read more

Reasonably quiet room, but creaky floors for such a new building. One step too far with the Euro-mod design. Lots if wasted space, and the two-compartment bath with glass-paneled sliding doors leaves little privacy. Ample parking, and a huge breakfast spread. The facility is adequate, but i wouldn't stay in Rexburg unless absolutely necessary. The only place in this dry town where you can get a beer or glass of wine with dinner is Applebees ... and several Yelpers claim to have gotten food poisoning there. There are many more lodging choices down the road in Idaho Falls. read more

We love the funky design of the Springhill Marriot. The desk staff is super sweet and helpful in person. We've stayed here a few times over the last couple of years. I have to say that the cleanliness is not up to the previous standards, which is the only reason I'm giving it a four star instead of five. We also started our stay with almost no toilet paper and had to call down for an extra roll. That's not anybody's favorite phone call. The bathroom floor needs a better cleaning, especially the top of the tile baseboard and the grout. But, even with that, it is still an overall very clean hotel and I felt very comfortable sleeping there. The beds are heavenly. We love the extra sitting room and desk. The biggest drawback is the glass doors on the separated bathrooms. No real good sound or light privacy. If someone in your family needs to use the bathroom extra early or late, you are all going to be awake. We usually do not hear anyone at all, but this time, we had a toddler above us that was allowed to run around until 11pm, and little ones out in the hall running around, and doors slamming. But, you are not going to hear someone's alarm clock or tv from next door, yay! The breakfast helps compensate for the cost of the hotel, especially if you are bringing the family. The waffles are only available on the weekend. We enjoyed our breakfast except we ate at the beginning of the breakfast service on Sunday and it really wasn't ready. I had watery oatmeal, the waffle iron just wasn't heated up well, but we didn't have time to wait around, so we dealt with it. There is very good hot coffee available during breakfast, and ice water and lemonade available during most of the day. This is our go-to hotel in Rexburg. We've tried cheaper hotels, but it's just not worth it because the Marriot is still the best around. read more

The good: The staff was so friendly and helpful even when we had an emergency at 2:30am. Breakfast staff was friendly, saying good morning to everyone. It seemed much cleaner on the surface than some other places we've stayed. Water pressure in the shower was the best and the temperature of the water was hot through 3 showers. Toilet was separate from the shower. The bad: Any breakfast item that was prepared with water tasted very watered down. The pool was freezing. It felt like we were jumping in a lake so we didn't get to swim more than 5 minutes. There were a few black hairs on the bed sheets on the bed and in the closet. Dead moth in the window sill. The hooks in the bathrooms didn't hold the towels very well so it was hard to hang them to dry. If we were to travel back to Rexburg, we would probably pick a different place to stay. read more

I love Marriott's but this site fell a bit short in two areas for me. First was the hot tub, after a time on the road and not feeling well I was looking forward to soaking in the hot tub. Unfortunately, I found myself not in staying in long after I saw what appeared to be a black mold type substance around the edges of the hit rub especially the trim closest to the handicap liftchair. I decided to just go to my room, that was well kept and modern. I was too tired to care at this point and felt the need to wash my neck since I had rested my neck on it. In the morning, I look forward to their complimentary breakfast. Unfortunately, I come down at 8 a.m. (breakfast ended at 9 a.m. I had an entire hour to spare) to see there were empty trays of fruit and breakfast meat. I was looking around for a staff member to point it out when another patron encouraged I not say anything because she was extremely grouchy when she was asked by them. We really enjoyed our stay at the this hotel. The staff provided excellent customer service, in particular Alex and Angel. Alex and Angel went above and beyond to make our stay awesome. I ended up leaving my laptop at the hotel and didn't realize it until 1 1/2 hours into our drive back home. I called the hotel and Alex stayed on the phone with me as she checked around the hotel to look for my laptop bag. It was left in our room and she assured me that they would send it out to me the next day. I called the next morning and Angel had already processed it for shipment, sent me an email notification and I received the package the next day as promised totally intact. The food manager and team also did an excellent job keeping the buffet fresh and replenished, they totally hustled! Spring Hill Suites is A-OK. My family and I almost always stay at Marriott properties for the Marriott Reward points, and this Spring Hill Suites is just like the others. Friendly, courteous staff at the front desk, nice clean rooms, okay continental breakfast, exercise room. Unique to this one: Bring sunglasses if you want to use the exercise room in the morning. The morning sun was downright blinding. Not Unique to this one, but my common complaint about the Spring Hill Suites (SHS) layout: - The first thing any of us generally need to do when we get in the room is go PEE. The SHS put the toilet in a separate water closet from the shower, which is fine, and they have a sink in the water closet to wash your hands, but they don't put any HAND TOWELS in the water closet to dry your hands off. You have to go to the next room over where the shower and all the towels are. - There's no place to hang up your towel while you're IN the shower to be able to reach it when you want to open the door and get OUT of the shower. The pegs are on the wall behind the shower door, so you can't reach them without getting out of the shower dripping all over the floor and closing the shower door to get access to the pegs where the towels go. I end up setting my towel on the floor just outside the shower door, but if I plan ahead, next time I'll bring one of those On-Command strips to stick to the glass outside the shower. read more

Wow - what an absolute disappointment. This place has a corner on the market and they charge you for it. Crappy customer service, don't clean the rooms, the "free" breakfast is worth about that much and they don't honor military rate. MILITARY MEMBERS BEWARE - even though I was on orders they don't honor military rate during the summer months so i ended up forking out $80/night out of pocket. I've stayed at Springhill Suites in other locations, and this is by far the worst I've ever visited. I will camp out next time over staying in this hotel. read more

The hotel, room, pool, and breakfast were great. However when we returned home I saw they had charged out credit card twice. I called to sort it out and it took several times just to get an answer. The receptionist said I had to speak to the manager. He didn't answer so I left a message. He never returned my call so I called back and was put in hold for 5 minuets before I gave up and just called the corporate 800 number. My wife and I just returned from a business/family trip to Rexburg, Idaho and stayed at Springhill Suites. Because of my work in town, the room was comped for us, so I didn't have to pay for this stay. This hotel is hard to review, since there are so many good features and a few drawbacks. So with that in mind let me just list the good and the "bad." The Good: 1. Lovely modern design inside and out 2. Great access to pool and exercise room 3. Friendly helpful staff (everyone is this town seems to be so nice) 4. Excellent complimentary breakfast 5. Having the toilet and shower areas in separate room can be good and bad. Nice to have a toilet accessible when your significant other is in the shower. 6. Beautiful HD TV in room, with a nice sitting area. My wife and I enjoyed watching TV while eating a snack. 7. Nice area for fridge and coffee maker, separate from the main part of the room. 8. EXCELLENT business desk with plenty of outlets for electronic devices. Probably the BEST hotel I've ever stay in where there are plenty of outlets for recharging phones, iPads, laptops, etc. The "Bad": 1. Rooms are generally quite noisy. This is a family town, so a lot of "families" stay here to visit other family members or to attend weddings at the nearby LDS temple. The walls are thin, so if there's a family next door, plan on hearing a lot of noise. 2. The two doors to the toilet and shower rooms are sliding glass doors with frosted glass. Kids in nearby rooms just SLAM the doors when they open or close them, so expect to hear that. 3. Door is shower and toilet have frosted glass, so if someone turns on a light at night . . . . everyone will know. Plus it's a little awkward to have your typical bathroom facilities in two different rooms. 4. The shower wasn't that great. 5. Room was generally clean, but vertical surfaces would benefit from a nice wipe-down on occasion. 6. Hotel would be better served to have a larger seating area for the complimentary breakfast. Since there are a lot of families staying here, there is often not enough seating available. Quite small in fact. My wife and I had to take the food up to our room. 7. And oh yeah, this hotel is nowhere near downtown Rexburg or close to BYU Idaho. It's about a 2 mile drive. So don't plan on getting around Rexburg by walking . . . especially in winter! A great place to stay, if the noisy kids and slamming bathroom doors don't keep you up at night. read more

Best hotel in Rexburg. I've NEVER gotten a room that was dirty and I stay here often. The beds are heavenly with full standard sized pillows, a commodity which is greatly appreciated! The staff is very helpful and they do it with kindness and a smile on their face. That's what customer service is all about! I always recommend this hotel to others who are visiting the area, you can't put a price on comfort! Plus, the new restaurant, Fresco's, is right in the parking lot and it is so good! Staff were nice and helpful. Hotel was like most Marriott hotels with moderately new carpets bedding etc. Rooms were not super clean but for a quick stay they were acceptable. The beds were nice, we were in the suite, but the bathroom wasn't great. The continental breakfast was like most hotels and the kids liked it. The pool area was nice but the pool and hot tub were very murky, in fact the hot tub was green. Overall, probably about three stars. read more

Booked sight unseen and was very happy with the hotel. Good location, very nice rooms. The shower head was built for my 6'3'' family members. Breakfast was very yummy. The only things I would say that could be improved upon were the towels and a bar. I haven't been to a Marriott that had such thin towels.
