    Bedspread stain
    Natalie P.

My family this past weekend chose to stay here while coming to visit my sister and I. They had stayed here a previous time and it hadn't been bad, but this time there were stains all over the bedspread and a particular stain that was really nasty(I'll post the pic below). After having seen this they requested a new room and it was better, but it looks like they don't change the sheets or the bedspread often as there were still stains. There was no manager on site to discuss this with, and the helper clerk that was there did his best. But we absolutely will never be staying again. Honestly the worst hotel they have ever stayed at.

    The non working smoke detector.

I'm currently about to check out if this hotel so I thought a review was important. I guess you could say I got my money's worth. There's not a whole lot to complain about for $65 a night. But is there things that should be better for my money and anyone else that stays there? OF COURSE.... there is a few. The smoke detector that doesn't work..... the curved shower curtain rod that sags so the curtain doesn't stay put at the ends and slides to the middle.... various holes in the walls from previous decor..... carpet stains.... those were just in my room #210. You have to think similar of the other rooms. I think this hotel is due for an upgrade/remodel. It's what I paid for and I've stayed in worse. I would stay here again because of price and price only. Just know, that's the best reason to look forward to these accommodations. And yes... I will bring these "gripes" to the attention of the hotel staff. It's often the only way to get things fixed.

Do the jets in the hot-tub work? Is the pool heated? Is it warm enough to comfortably swim? Does the breakfast buffet have oatmeal and/or fresh fruit? Thank you.

Yes jets work. I swam in the pool for 20 minutes. It was warm. Yes has cereal and fresh fruit.

And all the hotels in town were booked for a softball tournament. We pull in. They have doors, propped open, screens off the windows, windows open. The whole place is a mess no baseboards, paint on floors. The shower curtain didn't even cover the shower so the floor got soaked it was just a mess. I do not recommend this hotel and they need to post on their website that they're going through a full renovation. One of the other families that was in town for softball they got a refund after finding a massive spider in their room and screws sticking up out of the floor. we should've asked for a refund it was ridiculous. The mess that hotel was in. And to top it all off they have a scrimpy breakfast whenever we were getting breakfast this morning The waffle machine was broken and the bacon was like paper with no taste (not sure it was real) I just feel the whole hotel is not put together very well. The staff were fine at the front desk. But when I asked the other staff members questions, no one spoke English and they couldn't answer me on where to till my water bottle. I'm not even sure I'd give them one star, but that's the lowest I can go.

If you're here for more than a night or two just know that the breakfast does not change a bit. It's literally the same exact foods every single day & there's not a ton of variety. For the meat choice you'll have round sausage or link sausage. No ham, no bacon, no other meat option, just sausage. Day one is not so bad but if you have to eat it for a week or more it gets old real fast. Also, they don't clean the rooms every day. Some hotel chains have returned to good service, & some are still using Covid as an excuse to not provide excellent guest service. This is one of those hotels that leans on the past pandemic as an excuse to not have to pay employees to run a full service hotel. This hotel costs as much if not more than others that do provide the basic daily services, so it's not about being more affordable because it's not more affordable. The beds are on the firmer side, not very cushy & the pillows are all really soft & not supportive. I do like that they have a separate room for showering & getting ready, while the toilet & another sink are in a separate room. Our room also has a fairly large closet so you don't have to move around the suitcases. The swimming pool & hot tub could be a bit cleaner. Literal clusters of hair getting stuck on you as you move in the pool. Other than that it's kind of just a standard place to stay. I do like that they still provide scriptures in each room like most all hotels used to. I also like that they have hot chocolate available in the lobby. Would be a lot better if they also provided some kind of creamer but not all hotels offer hot chocolate all day so I'll call that a win. Would be a step up if they also had cookies in the evenings like other places do. Staying at as many hotels as we do it's kind of a disappointment when you're at one that doesn't offer the fresh baked cookies in the evenings. Those little extras make a big difference.

We were told the hotel would be quiet since it was only 1/3 booked. However, we discovered that since this room was adjacent to the stairs it was noisy all night with people thumping up and down until 1:30 and again starting at 3:00 through 5:30. I talked to the desk manager about this following the first night and he offered a different room but since he said the hotel would certainly be quieter the upcoming night we opted not to go through the hassle of changing rooms. Well it was not quieter, if anything noisier, people thumping up and down the stairs until 2:00 in the morning and again starting at 3:45. I talked to the manager again after the second night suggesting perhaps they should comp one night of our stay. He refused to do so saying that he couldn't do anything since we had booked online and not directly through the hotel. The hotel personnel must know how noisy the rooms adjacent to the stairs are. I suggest that the stairs adjacent rooms should not be assigned until all other rooms are full, they are the worst rooms in the hotel. I sensed a prejudice towards customers who book online. I would never stay at this hotel again. One front desk employee was just plain rude when I came to discuss the noisy stairs after the second night. The desk manager guy was pleasant enough but displayed a prejudice toward customers who book through an online service.

I am writing this review to protect future guests. What I experienced at this property was not a…read moreseries of minor inconveniences -- it was a pattern of deceptive practices, undisclosed charges, and genuinely unsafe conditions. The Cost Is Not What You'll Be Quoted I booked through Hotels.com at a confirmed total of $239.76. My card was charged $264.31 immediately by the hotel. After the wrong payment was collected, non refundable, the property sent a rental agreement -- never disclosed at booking -- containing language stating all charges are "valid and final." I was required to sign it or forfeit my entire payment with no recourse. I signed under duress. Then, I was told a $150 damage deposit was required to receive my door code. This deposit does not appear anywhere in my booking confirmation. It was not disclosed at booking. I had no choice but to pay it or have nowhere to sleep with two children, having already paid in full for a nonrefundable reservation. I have documentation of every charge. The Business Practices Are Dishonest I want to be specific about the conduct throughout this process. When I contacted the property about the overcharge, Lyn said she had no control over Hotels.com pricing and fees. Hotels.com disagreed, showed me that they didn't charge undisclosed fees and that it was the hotel, and submitted a formal waiver request to the hotel-- which they denied. I received a message from the hotel stating that I could book direct and then they could consider refunding the hotels.com charge but when I questioned it and asked for written confirmation that it would be refunded in full so I wasn't charged twice I got silence. They had full authority the entire time acknowledged by them. They chose to tell me they didn't and refused to correct the erroneous amount. Every attempt I made to resolve this reasonably -- asking for written confirmation before rebooking directly, requesting the room I actually reserved, questioning undisclosed policy-- was met with silence, deflection, or new obstacles. The rental agreement introduced after payment, the deposit demanded to get the door code, the single breakfast voucher for three guests -- none of these were disclosed at booking. All of them were collected anyway. None of it was optional without losing the payment already made. They refused to work with me or hotels.com to resolve it and instead they kept referring me to their direct booking and how everything is handled better direct including these disclosures. They should not be listing on third party services if they can't be honest and upfront via that channel. The "Breakfast Included" Claim Is Misleading The reservation states breakfast is included. I booked for three guests. There was one Denny's meal voucher. For three people. This is deliberately misleading. There were additional coupons for other locations that require you to traverse town to actually receive any of the discounts. The Room Is Not What Was Advertised There is nothing luxury about this property. The walls are damaged throughout. The blinds are broken. The bed is a handmade frame of nonstandard height -- at 5'10" I had to climb into it. The smoke detector had no batteries. The image shown shows how it was when we entered the room. I didn't touch it. The beds were firm memory foam and comfortable enough and the sheets were soft, but the skirt was dirty, also pictured. Bottom line: Go elsewhere. The room is not luxury. The costs are not disclosed. The breakfast is not included for your whole party. The facility is not confirmed safe. The business is not honest.
