We stayed here over the May 15th weekend. We had our sons wedding on the 16th. The staff were amazing! So nice. Breakfast was good. Rooms were clean and nice. Bed was good as well. They even allowed us to put the cake and leftovers in their fridge overnight. I highly recommend this hotel. Pretty solid hotel experience. The location was convienant for my activity, plenty of parking, restaurants near by. The morning breakfast buffet was well stocked and clean. we stayed in one of the junior suites, which I have never requested, and was a nice experience! It had a queen bed and pull out couch, with plenty of pillows and blankets. There was a little kitchenette area with a mini fridge, sink, and microwave, and a big mirror over the sink that helped when we all wanted to get ready. There was enough room until we brought my sister's wedding shower gifts up to the room with us! I believe it is pet friendly, and I have that noted for the next time we are in town! read more

What a great stay! The front desk supervisor checked me in and she was fantastic. Besides being extremely friendly, she made check in a breeze. All of the staff members I encountered, were extremely polite and welcoming. As for my room, it was extremely clean and maintained. The only reason I'm giving four stars, I think the mattress is in need of replacing as it wasn't the most comfortable. That said, it would not deter me from staying here again. Having a clean and well maintained room, is the highest of my priorities. This is a great Hampton that is dog friendly. Highly recommend. read more

This hotel is amazing for our group. We come here every year for a workshop (the workshop is held at a separate venue) but we always stay at the Hampton. With the various choices for the included breakfast, we get our day started. The lobby area is large and inviting and we use it for socializing in the evening. Our room was clean and comforable. Parking was included. Lots of restaurants in the area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room had 2 queen beds. read more

We traveled here for Christmas and were very disappointed in the hotel. It is very dated and rooms are small. We stayed for 4 nights and never got house keeping once. I had to go get towels everyday from the desk. Our trash was over flowing. I asked at the front desk and the reply I got was "yes, you should've gotten it today." We were told to put the towels in the hall and given trash bags to empty our trash. We will not be back to this hotel as it was not cheap to stay here either. I hope they work to improve these services as it is a prime location. read more

This has been our"home away from home" for too many years to mention. It's COMFORTABLE & QUIET, minutes from RT 11 & RT 224. Our first trip in 2 years to visit elderly relatives & it's spotless. Did I mention friendly, very attentive staff? YES! Inner Circle across the street, we had take out this time, is a must for 1 meal. How to ruin a nice hotel? BAD WATER!!! This Hampton Inn is fairly new, it's a nice building and in a good location, right off OH-11. The three restaurants within a short walking distance are all good. I've stayed here before with no issues, but they now have the hardest water I've had at any hotel, anywhere, and it has a smell. Thought I was in Flint for a minute. A good shower starts my day on the right foot. This shower ruined my trip and started out my day horribly. BTW - I tried other soap and the restroom in the lobby with the same results. read more

Just checked in for the evening, traveling with service dogs, and I can't even express how kind Michelle at the front desk is! After driving in from Iowa in the midst of a cross country move and getting here well after 1am, she had our room key ready, was extremely helpful, and even asked if I needed bowls for the dogs, despite the fact that this particular hotel is not typically pet friendly. Can't express how much I needed Michelle's awesome customer service this evening!! She was excellent and the room is great! read more

I travel for business every other week or so. Youngstown is a frequent stop of mine, almost every other week. Aren't you jealous!?!? Well, hold onto your seat belts because this Hampton Suites is about to get reviewed... Hotel newness and amenities... The hotel is approximately 10 years old, but is kept up like it's brand new. From the inside and outside, you'd think it was built yesterday. It has most of the new Hampton decor with a little Youngstown flair. They don't have the newest breakfast area with the bar style seating...but most Hamptons don't yet. Only those built within the last 3 or 4 years have it. However, they are talking of a remodel here, so they may get some upgrades soon. The carpeting, tile, bathrooms, showers, tubs, etc are all new looking and not yet dated or worn. They have a nice heated pool (no hot tub) and a small, but totally remodeled fitness room. They remodeled it in May 2012. It has free weights, a bike, a treadmill, and exercise balls. Needless to say...it keeps the belly off during business trips. Rooms & Bathrooms The standard rooms resemble your average hotel. Nice large TVs (although the channel selection is limited), super comfy beds (and they sell them if you're really impressed), desk/chair, and nightstands. Most standard rooms do not come with a fridge, however. The bathrooms are very nice and modern. They come with a few extras such as a shoe polish cloth, moist make up remover towel, and nail file...along with your typical shampoo / conditioner / lotion / mouthwash. Sorry, no shower cap ladies...seriously...wash your hair! Here's where it gets fun! The suites!!! If you are a HHonors Diamond member, be sure to always ask for an upgrade. All Hilton brands will accommodate as best they can, but chances are good that this Hampton has a few unused suites available. The suites are awesome. They have king and two queen suites available. The amenities are the same as far as the bathroom goes. However, the suites have a sofabed and a large area to walk around an spread out. This is most certainly the way to stay at this Hampton. Breakfast and Staff Cindy is the weekday/Saturday breakfast server. She makes breakfast so special. She knows my name, and the names of everyone in my family. My kids love to see her each time they get to come with me. The breakfast has some great options. Cereals, bagels, muffins are standard...but at this Hampton you'll get waffles, citrus fruits (i eat all the grapefruit), 4 different juices, oatmeal, and two different hot items every day. Some great healthy...and unhealthy items. Remember, there is a gym...so have half a waffle and enjoy it! Nobody needs a whole waffle anyway!! The hotel staff here makes all the difference. These are not your Days Inn...I'm considering getting my GED...we'll leave the light on for you...I'll be with you after my smoke break...kinda people. Not at this Hampton. The staff absolutely keeps me coming back. They bend over backwards to make sure your stay is pleasant. They have your key ready for you, welcome you back by name, smile when they tell me what room I've been upgraded to, and call you after getting to your room to be sure it was to your liking! This is the service you expect from a full service hotel...not from a mid-line hotel...and not in the middle of northwest Ohio. They are all to be commended on a fine presentation everyday! Highly Recommended. I travel the country and Hampton is my preference. I have to say, this Hampton is the BEST hotel I have stayed at. I was given a reasonable rate by "Joe" . The room was spotless, great set up for working, there was food in the evening and breakfast was substantial. I will add this too - the counter staff was Gracious and engaging. As as a guy who travels solo, its nice to encounter hotel staff with a personality and who are not running on "Script" This is the place to stay. read more

Recommend this Inn highly. We reserved a large block of rooms for family to attend a funeral locally. The Staff actually put aside 7 copies of the local paper containing the Grandpa's Obit for us. Staff is gracious and thoughtful to a person. We came from Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and DC with children from 2 mo. to 18 yrs. and were made to feel welcome and pampered. The heated pool was a great surprise since it is 2 degrees outside. every staff person worked at snow removal and hospitality. The hotel looks brand new and everything is kept spotless by every staff member. We'll be back next time we are in the area. Gold Star for the Staff! read more

The hotel itself is in great shape and is nice and clean. I however booked a whirlpool room and did not get it. I got a standard king room with a tiny desk to work off of. This is not what I ordered. I am not going to pull my stuff out of this room. I will just check out tomorrow and they will not get the revenue for the second night. Unacceptable especially for a Diamond member. read more

On our return tip from Bethlehem PA on sunday Sept 8th 2013 we stopped at this Hampton Inn We did not have reservation but there was room available. The staff was friendly and informative and the room was exceptionally clean and fresh . The morning staff was equally friendly and hospitable and we enjoyed a good breakfast and friendly conversation with the staff. You felt like you were leaving a good friends home. On our drive I realized that I had left my good jacket in the closet. We were to far down the road to turn back. I called when we got home and the night clerk said there was nothing turned in or in the lost and found. In the morning I called again and the morning female clerk said that someone who had rented our room for the night brought it down as they were leaving. I then asked if I could have it mailed to me and I told them they could use my credit card. Two days later the UPS truck delivered my jacket. Thanks to the guest who turned it in and the staff for being so efficient to get it back to me. Beautiful hotel. We did not stay In Guest rooms but we're here for three days while my daughter had state testing. I would have liked to have given the hotel more but the observations I made today of their staff were horrendous. This afternoon there have been 4 employees at the front desk actively discussing customer complaints loud enough that I could clearly understand them across the lobby by the wall of windows! One gentleman was even complaining about a guest who had just been in the lobby complaining about her fist room being smelly and a problem with the bathroom floor in the second room. He was on the phone and discussing this so loudly I was just stunned. Then after that he walked to an open doorway and could be heard saying "I'm trying to pull my head Out of my ass." I just sat shaking my head. I honestly could not believe what I was hearing and seeing. I do not think I'll recommend this hotel after all. I prefer to send my friends and family to places who are not so careless when discussing problematic issues. I mean honestly, we all have bad days and might say things like that but there's a town and place and the front desk and lobby area of a hotel is not the place. read more

Dan Seitz and his staff (shout out to Luke!) couldn't have been more accommodating when we hosted my father's 90th birthday party with 100 people at the hotel last weekend. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and having a good time. They worked with us on budget, rooms, changing rooms, changing food times, absolutely whatever we needed. They stored our food and drink; brought chairs to wherever we were sitting (even the parking lot); brought us ice buckets; ran out for the birthday candles we were missing. Luke was an absolute champion! I can't say enough good things about this place and the service. If you are hosting a party and want nice clean rooms and a relaxed place to gather, this was perfect. I am giving them this star for the customer service I recieved at checkout- I am a diamond member and I spend 40000 over the last year. My wedding was an out of town wedding and we booked a lot of rooms to accomodate our out of town guests. I was guaranteed the lowest price and when i checked out I asked them why other people recieved the rooms at a cheaper price ( My mother in law paid for 10 rooms) when I asked Cecil she said she was not willing to budge even if she could she would not help??? really??? I spoke with the manager who did not care and was also rude to my whole family- I do not care how clean your hotel is if this is the level of custimer service you recieve- i was disheartened because of all of the positve experiance I have had with the hilton brand- extremely disappointed read more

My business partner and I stayed here and upon check out I noticed his room rate was much lower than mine, because our company does a ton of business with Hilton, I asked if there was a way to match his rate, not only did they not match his rate, they actually raised the cost of his room to mine, a $50 difference without warning and after the fact. Will not stay at a property that thinks this is an acceptable business practice, with the tough times that we are in the last thing you need is to book a hotel room at one rate and turn around and have it jump $50 with no warning. They should have left both bills the same. read more

Hard to believe that this hotel is 10 years old. It looks like brand new and is spotless throughout. Combine that with friendly service and you have a really good experience. We had three rooms and everything was perfect. Really convenient for good restaurants that you can walk to (casual, Inner Circle Pizza, or higher end, White Fire Grille). I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel. read more
