The woman at the front desk was friendly and courteous, she promptly checked us in, handed us the card, and motioned to where we needed to go. Our room was immaculate: beds made neatly, clean sheets in drawers, sinks were polished, even the tiles in the shower didn't have grime on them. Bathrooms were filled with tons of bath towels, face, and hand towels. Only thing I wish was for the bath mat/towel to be thicker, with 3 people showering, the make-shift shower mat/towel got soaked pretty quickly. Included was your standard shampoo, conditioner, body/facial soap bars. Bathroom also had a hair dryer - nice! One thing that we were nervous about was the fact that we had a very large roof bag on our car. There didn't seem to be any or many security cameras in the parking lot so we weren't able to confidently leave our bag out in the parking lot. Throughout the hotel there seemed to be security cameras in the hallways, the front lobby, and right outside the lobby. Didn't see one camera in the parking lot though... What's different due to COVID-19: no pool or hot breakfast in the morning. The hotel replaced hot breakfast for a modified grab-n-go. You go to the front desk and choose from their select options of cold foods: cereal, muffin, bagel. And more... Unfortunately breakfast closed at 10am so we came out too late. Overall, not a bad experience at all. Will come again if we ever make the drive back up to New England!

We had stayed at this location several times previously as a midpoint between Atlanta and VA. Unfortunately, the hotel lost power around midnight for several hours, leaving guests without air conditioning on a hot summer night and causing significant disruption. Another guest even became trapped in the elevator and required assistance from the Fire Department, adding to the commotion. What made the situation particularly frustrating was that the hotel was aware of the planned outage in advance, yet no proactive notification was provided despite having my contact information through my BW reservation. I only learned about the outage through a casual conversation at a nearby gas station directly prior to check-in. Had I been informed ahead of time, I would have made alternative accommodations. When I raised my concerns the next morning and simply asked about refund options, the front desk associate was dismissive, argumentative, and repeatedly placed responsibility on me for not canceling my reservation. This was especially unreasonable given the non-refundable booking terms and the fact that we arrived late at night with few practical alternatives. Rather than acknowledging the inconvenience, I was told that I should contact the utility company, which was clearly not an appropriate resolution. I appreciate that the manager, perhaps owner, that ultimately came out front, as she was calm, professional, and willing to listen. However, the employee's lack of empathy, accusatory tone, and insistence on shifting responsibility to the guest significantly worsened an already difficult experience. At point telling me to "Leave....Just Leave....Leave!!" after I stated that her tone was overly apathetic . This situation was not simply about the power outage itself, but about the hotel's failure to communicate in advance and the poor customer service that followed.

This property was clean, comfortable, and offered free breakfast. The service was great - the front desk staff was attentive even though we checked in past midnight, and the breakfast staff the next morning was very welcoming. The hotel room itself left something to be desired in terms of style and art, but again, a Hanpton Inn looks the same no matter where in the world you are. Definitely a great place to stay if you find yourself in Morristown.

She uses it as her communication device. Unfortunately, it's no longer under warranty/insurance. It showed the hotel as its last location , using find my iPad. We called the hotel, left our number. Called again this morning, asking if there were any updates? Staff tried to be helpful, but had our number copied incorrectly. Stated they hadn't been there in a week. They'd check with the assistant manager and housekeeper named Jasmine. We called back an hour look after asking if there was an update, as we were traveling and were three hours away. Staff stated the nobody had reported anything and Jasmine and the assistant manager weren't in. I asked if there was any way to check with them to see if this device had been turned in? She put me on hold and then said the manager was checking the housekeeping office and the room where we had stayed. She also said he said to use the find my iPad location. I said the last location shown was their hotel, before it shut down. Needless to say, he reported back that it was not found. Lesson learned. After years of being very diligent, double checking and triple checking, before we leave a hotel room, we goofed. We thought we had put her pink mini iPad device, which she uses for communication, in her backpack. We didn't. The bigger issue is that there are staff members who work at this hotel who didn't hand this technology in to the front desk. Travelers, be sure to watch out for your belongings!

We were welcomed from the first moment (and we arrived later than expected but a text to Lynn had us feeling confident we were headed to the right place, because the last few miles can seem like you are in the middle of nowhere). I woke up after the first night tent camping and instantly had tears in my eyes while enjoying sunrise with a cup of coffee. It is so incredibly beautiful, it honestly felt like a gift to be there. The land is beautiful, well maintained, and perfect for a couples or family getaway (I am actually planning a few lone trips because I felt such a spirit connection here). There are numerous sites for camping, the lodge is super cute and I will probably stay a few times at one of the rooms there. The entire ranch is stunning and we felt like we were among family the entire time. We had freedom to socialize if we desired, but had plenty of space to go off on our own. We enjoyed coffee in the morning, a glass of wine at night, and our days were full of hiking, horseback riding, and sometimes just enjoying the ability to unplug. I implore you to enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner (at least one of each) to get the full extent of how great this side of the Ranch is. I highly recommend the biscuits and gravy, but nothing compares to the has brown casserole that is handmade by Lynn and is a culinary delight! The chicken Cesar wraps are a great lunch to take if you plan on going on a hike (with a quick text to the owner, we had lunch packed up for us and ready to o when we headed out to Rainbow falls). The dinners have a community feel, though you could certainly take it to go. We enjoyed both the cafeteria style dinners as well as bacon cheeseburgers (drool-worthy). The area is perfectly located to give you a break from reality but close enough to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Seiverville (easy day trips and we spent a day in each area). Rainbow Falls, Grotto Falls, and countless other outdoor adventures are also a quick drive, but there is also a lot that can be done on the ranch. We enjoyed walking the farm, petting the horses, and decided to take a trail ride. It was such an adventure. The guides were extremely thoughtful of my anxiety/fear of horses while also encouraging to my partner's comfort and ease around them (giving each of us room to enjoy the ride as we needed). They also became like friends/family by the time we left (we even extended our stay by one day because we did not want to leave). I truly want to see them succeed, they have a great story, and have encouraged all of my family and friends to visit. I hope to make this place a regular getaway spot. Don't wait, book it now!! Tips: * If tent camping, make sure you account for possible rainy weather (think shoes/boots if it gets muddy) * Be aware that it can get windy at night, you are at the base of a mountain - tents should be securely tethered * Bring a treat for the horses, you won't regret making friends with them * Communicate with the owners/hands, the idea here is a bed and breakfast even if you are camping. * Don't be shy to reach out when you want a meal, being that they are a small operation, there may not always be someone readily available but they will accommodate if given a heads up (and won't make you feel guilty for it) * Branch out of your comfort zone, have a conversation with other campers or visitors
