Another wonderful stay at Hampton .. we wanted to avoid the crowds of Gatlinburg and stayed in Sevierville .. lots of chain restaurants and outlet malls .. only 10 minutes from Gatlinburg. I was traveling with my mom this time on .. celebrating her birthday our room was very comfortable and clean .. everything looked new and the beds were comfortable. Rooms had small fridge and microwave. Towels were corse and small but plenty of them and like they provided mouthwash. We took advantage of the complimentary breakfast .. wish they had brown sugar for the oat meal and yogurt that didn't have that artificial sweetener after taste but the ladies kept the breakfast area clean and stocked. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. there is an indoor pool. If you drive through the parking lot to the gas station it's easier to get out and head towards town or Gatlinburg. We really enjoyed our stay and the price was very reasonable.

Awful. Filthy. Smells. Overpriced. Awoke in the morning and had a tick in my arm. Please see the pics and the captions which say it all. Will NEVER stay here again.

I don't even know where to start but I can confirm this hotel does have BED BUGS! We stayed there the 1st of May and found a bed bug crawling on the sheets. I brought it down to the front desk and they did get an exterminator the following day. The exterminator did not find any bed bugs but I have proof of the one we found. We used points so we were not out of any $ but the Manager didn't even say sorry for or anything they just made it seem we were making it up. I have stayed at over 500 hotels for work and I would say this hotel needs a LOT of updating. There have been other guests on the reviews say the same thing about Bed BUGS so it's just not us saying this.

    Bathroom - very neat design

Overall happy with this hotel. Only complaint is our reservation was for a room with a bathtub and we had a shower with no tub.

The resort is in the mountains, a few minutes from Dollywood. It's clean and rustic but elegant - think Dolly Parton's style and touch. It's family oriented so it's cozy, not really flashy. I bet during the holidays (now) placed is decked out. Kudos to the staff. From checking in, to dining all the way the family activities (smores), everyone was friendly, helpful and genuinely warm making people feel welcome. Service wasn't feigned or scripted - it was real and even when it was busy, the staff took care of business. Room was comfortable and clean. Not extravagant - think Southern charm. Bathroom wasn't cramped, water pressure good and temperature nice and hot. Quiet (we had a corner room) and we couldn't hear anything. Not even when neighbors opening or closing their door. Even had a workspace if you were working while you were supposed to be on vacation. Amenities included shuttle to and from the park. Pool and Spa (didn't partake). Went to the bar/restaurant - see other review and an on site convenience store. Free parking. I'm sure there are more but that's just all that comes to mind because we were for the park. That's also in another review. Anyway - to sum it up, it's not quite a luxury resort - but a place that offers heartfelt comfort wrapped in Southern Hospitality. If you know Dolly's story, it kinda captures her spirit - warm, sincere and touches of joy. It's a definite "yes" if I needed to pick a place to stay when back in that area, even if I weren't going to the park.

I can't say enough good things about Mandy and Billy Gerken and their cleaning / handyman company. Without a dedicated, professional, high quality team like these guys I don't think it would be possible to remotely manage my cabin as successfully as I have. In less than 90 days of operation I have achieved Airbnb's "Superhost" status, and earned 16 nearly all 5-star reviews from guests. Many of my guests have remarked how clean and organized my cabin is. "Extremely clean" "Very clean, cabin feel" "We appreciate how clean the cabin was" "The cabin was extremely clean and organized" And for the Yelp Mafia who hid my last review for being fake, I invite you to go to my Airbnb listing to see these glowing reviews airbnb . com /h/libertyhaven What my guests' don't know is how much work Mandy and Billy and their team did to get my new cabin rent ready. Not only did they drive all over Sevier County to different Home Depot's and Lowe's and Walmarts picking up and shopping for stuff the cabin needed, much of which they recommended (e.g. bigger cooking pots, some throw rugs, bathroom mats, etc) but they assembled and installed tons of stuff like the blinds and drapes, the rocking chairs, the CO2 detectors, the dedicated laptop workstation, carpenter bees traps, string lighting, illuminated address plaque, etc. Every time I ship something new to their house, they bring it to the cabin, set it up, and send me a (very reasonable) invoice. Are these guys more expensive than some other cleaners in the area? Yes. In fact they were 5 times more expensive than the lowest bid I got from a bid site (like Angie's List or something like that). But I simply pass their cleaning fee on to my guests AFTER I mark it up by $49. So not only are they a SOURCE of revenue for me, they actually SAVE me A LOT of money. If I didn't have this incredible team (and they are the most important members of my short term rental cabin team) on the ground, I would have to hire an expensive old skool property management company. Looking at the low star reviews of competing neighboring cabins, nearly all of them are managed by property management companies. Low ratings on Airbnb is slow death. People won't book a low rated, dirty cabin. And eventually Airbnb will delist you. If you're planning on managing your Airbnb VRBO cabin remotely (and why would you not?) HIRE THESE GUYS. They will save you money. They will EARN you money. And you'll sleep well knowing they are on top of everything because they are very experienced, consumate professionals, as good as it gets.

We stayed at the hotel that is connected to the indoor water park. Upon arrival we had a lot of trouble checking in. It took us over an hour to get things straight and the lady at the service desk almost gave us a room that was reserved by someone else. She still didn't give us the correct rate and my husband had to spend another thirty minutes when we checked out so that was annoying. The water park was very clean and fun. I will say that some lifeguards enforce rules while others don't. Also our grandson purchased a water canon in their store and then was told that he could not use it at the pool so be aware that toys are not allowed in the waterpark area. We enjoyed the arcade and I would suggest going between 8 AM and 10 AM when the arcade is half price. For the most part we went out and got food because the waterpark resturaunts are expensive. We did eat one day at The Swimmin' Chicken and the food was very good! Please note that the hotel can get loud as you may hear kids running up and down the halls and babies crying when you are trying to sleep. We did have tickets for the big outdoor water park but we never went to it. I would give this 3.5 stars but I am rounding up.

We had 5 adults in a 2 bedroom and tons of space to spare, it definitely could have handled the full 8 person capacity. The kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need. We loved our time at the pool, seeing the Dollywood fireworks from our balcony, and sunsets from the upper floor trash area at the west facing buildings (dont knock it till you try it!) Side note: We aren't owners, so I was worried about high pressure check-ins like I read about, but it was fine. Apparently 2 years ago they were bought by Travel & Leisure and changed tactics. They offered free tickets to attend an info session, I said no thank you and they gave me the keys. They have a great texting based system for updates and everything you need (like towels, dishwasher tablets, etx.) and they were super fast in responding! We had an amazing week! We did a mix of everything and it was nice being right on the edge of everything in Pigeon Forge and 30 mins from Gatlinburg. Honestly I only held back the 5th star because we did have a pretty big black bug run through, but we were on a 1st floor room, which is actually downstairs and there was a visible gap under our door that it likely ran in (we are backed up to woods, and thats what I choose to believe). Do not stay here in the winter!!!…read more We stayed at The Ridge Outdoor RV Resort and unfortunately, for the price, this was a huge disappointment. I'll start with the only positive: the pads are nice and level, and our fifth wheel parked easily. That's about where the positives end. What they don't tell you when you book--and pay well over $100 per night--is that the hot tub closes every single day at 6:00 PM during the winter. There are no signs anywhere stating this. We showed up night after night thinking something was wrong before finally asking, only to be told, "Oh yeah, it closes at 6 in the winter." That makes absolutely no sense. Most adults use a hot tub at night, after a full day of activities--especially when visiting the mountains. If I wanted to sit in a hot tub during the day, I wouldn't have traveled to Sevierville/Pigeon Forge in the first place. This felt like false advertising, as we always choose campgrounds specifically because they have a hot tub--and we were unable to enjoy it when it actually matters. Next issue: the laundry facilities. We intentionally booked a site close to one of the two laundromats. Unfortunately, the card-only washers and dryers do not work. Staff is well aware of this and said it's been an ongoing issue, yet it hasn't been resolved. At one point, we were told another guest was charged $90 while machines repeatedly said "declined." There is one washer and one dryer that you can use--but they're double the price, and you'd have to wash everything together (colors, whites, towels, jeans--all in one load). Completely unacceptable. We also expected at least some activities in the clubhouse, especially for kids, as many resorts with large clubhouses offer. There were no activities at all. Bottom line: this resort charges premium pricing but offers very few conveniences. If I want no amenities and no nighttime hot tub, I can stay somewhere else for $50 a night. This stay felt like a complete waste of money. Needless to say, when we return to the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge area, we will not be staying at The Ridge again.
