Three cheers for the Hampton Inn Castle Rock! We have stayed here twice so far and love it. It's close to food and shopping. The rooms are newly remodeled and comfortable. There are plugs all over the room, plenty for our connected family of 4. There's a lovely couple that manage during the day- I can't say enough that they put their heart and soul into their work. We were here during the snow storm and the area lost power overnight. Not the hotel's fault but they did everything they could do make sure folks had food available in the morning and offered additional blankets without having to ask. We're eventually moving to the area so have additional trips planned. We won't hesitate to book again. Thank you! read more

This place is not perfect, and it has some problems, but it is great for location, for price, and, (for the most part), service. After all, when you stay at a hotel, you mostly just want a place to park for a while, right. So, the location is very good. It's right across the street from the outlet mall, and very, very close to great variety of dining establishments of different kinds. It's also just a few miles from downtown Castle Rock, and free parking! But, take Front Street, not the highway, to get to town. It's just as quick, and you'll avoid the wild traffic. Turn on Fifth, head West two more blocks, and there's ton of free parking with no two hour time limit. A lot of the parking in town is limited to two hours. What you need to know about this place is: 1) The walls are thin. If you have noisy neighbors, you will hear them. If people are loud walking down the hallway, you will hear them. 2) The breakfast they offer is about the same as you will find in most similar restaurants. 3) You will have access to coffee and tea 24 hours a day. 4) They do not recycle. 5) The place is not fancy, but it is neat, clean, and fairly well kept. 6). Most of the staff are very nice, and accommodating. 7). They do not have town maps at the desk, but you can get them at the friendly visitors' center in town - in a building that is rumored to be haunted! 8). There is plenty of parking, and the parking lot is safe. You might witness deer wandering nearby, too. We did! All in all, this is a good place to stop on your way through town, but it is not a destination. read more

I am not impressed with this location at all. I have stayed in several before and I have never been pushed to leave a review before. We had a two queen room and that part seemed fine, on the third floor - I like to be higher so you can't hear everyone. Well you can absolutely hear everything from the upstairs room to the elevators down the hall. The bathroom was not clean on our arrival, hair everywhere and the toiletries were just for show since all of them were actually empty. Everything just felt dirty. The towels the sheets. It didn't feel like anything had been laundered. The door to our room has a huge gap in it and you can literally see the hallway through it. So that felt nice and safe. The pool? Absolutely disgusting. There were bugs in the water and the hot tub situation was green in color. My kid wanted to swim so we did get into the water but at much haste. Breakfast was okay. Parking is okay. We paid a big price for a shit hotel. Skip this one. read more

The place needs a lot of work for the area of castle rock I was very very disappointed will not be back. If I could I would leave 0 stars. I am a brand loyal Hilton person but this experience has left me to not want to stay at another one of their properties. The hotel is under construction which in itself is an inconvenience but whatever. I booked online and arrived around 10:30 the front door was locked so I used the phone to call. The line rang and rang. There was a woman in the lobby and she saw me so she walked up to let me in. This right here should've been my first clue something was wrong. The other guest informed me that she had been in the lobby for over an hour waiting for someone and no one has showed up. I was dealing with a death in my family I was tired and I needed sleep. I attempted to use the apps keyless check in and it did not work. I contacted Hilton customer service to let them know I could not get in the room, they put me on hold and never got back to me. The phone at the front desk just continued to ring and ring and ring. The other guest informed me that was happening since she had been waiting. The other guest informed me that her room was dirty and there was no hot water. She couldn't shower and was sick of waiting in her dirty room so that was why she was in the lobby. There was a leak In the ceiling behind the front desk and the whole thing was out of a bad movie. I was never contacted by the hotel to explain or apologize for the service at all. Do not go to this hotel. There is a hotel next door that actually has someone ready to help! read more

This Hampton is being remodeled. Compared to other Hamptons this one is small. I wish they had told us they were under construction. No nice lobby and lots of construction smells during the day. It's also close to the freeway hence, freeway traffic noise comes through the window heater/ cooling system. The rooms are remodeled, but not completely complete. Our room phone doesn't work and they don't have keurig machines in the room. Still the old one cup coffee maker. House keeping is terrible. The sheets are wrinkled and not pulled under the mattress. For the price and Hampton reputation, I expect more for the price I won't be planning another stay here. For now, it's a place to sleep. Time to put on my ear buds and listen to some sleep sounds to drown out the traffic noise. Or I can pretend that is my ambient sleep noise. read more

I see that the hotel tries to blame my frequent travel for bringing bed bugs into this hotel. I would like to say that that is not the case at all. I travel frequently for work and do in fact stay at many hotels. All of which I have never once had a bed bug incident with. Before coming to this hotel I had been home for 3 weeks so I absolutely refute the claim that this hotel made that I was the one to bring them in. You're right, bed bugs are absolutely a serious claim, which is why I felt the need to report them as soon as possible. I'm sorry you lost business over an honest review. However, I am not sorry at all for warning the public to help them avoid what I went through at this hotel. Poor customer service, technical issue occurred on the corporate level side, the local hotel charged our card without authorization or letting us know about this problem. No confirmations received, no emails or calls from the hotel. 8-9 days later an employee from this hotel ran our credit card (unauthorized) and Chris did not apologize or recognize the issue. She blamed us the loyal members of Hilton. Very poor hotel and be very careful as they will run your card without your authorization or knowledge for nights you never stayed. Very unethical and shady billing practices. Chris will not help members of Hilton and she made that very clear during our phone call. The bank has received our dispute for fraud by this hotel and the hotel has no authorization to charge our card, it will be in our favor. Thanks Chris! read more

Hotel rented a room to me with stains on the carpeting, I did not complain, after check out they charged my card $225.00 for a Pet fee and cleaning, (I do not travel with a pet) After calling the location 4 times I finally spoke with the manager who stated she would look into it and call me back at a time appointed by her, when the call never came I called again and she would not get on the phone to speak with me, leaving the poor clerk to face my frustration after he relayed to me that she would look into it and get back with me in a couple more days. The hotel insisted on charging me for the night to my credit card at their rack rate despite my explaining the situation and despite their knowing that I spend thousands with Hilton every year. Hilton Diamond member services took care of me as usual and refunded what this hotel charged me for a room that was left empty...on a reservation they planned to get no $$ from in the first place due to the points reservation. Worst Hampton Inn experience ever. So close to the interstate that you hear road noise all night long. They obviously used cheap building materials inside and out. The noise from the hallways was just as bad. The bed was not comfortable at all. Then breakfast totally sucked. Waffle machines didn't work, no oatmeal, no napkins. Excellent place. Starting with the top notch front desk personnel, they're professional, friendly and quick to find solutions or fix whatever issue pops up. The hotel smells nice, the hallway temperatures are comfortable, the rooms are always clean and well stocked, and you can count on always getting extra supplies, should you run out. I've stayed here many times, and never an issue. The complimentary breakfast is yummy, plentiful and the area is kept clean, organized and well stocked. The hotel location is extremely convenient, close to many shops, restaurants, fuel stations, and the interstate. There is a lot of police patrols, so the area is very safe. Just drive safely. I have lived in Colorado for 45 years, and I've never been told I can't use the restroom in a hotel whether I'm a guest or not. I stop there today and noticed a gentleman in plainclothes walking ahead of me and when I asked the housekeeper for directions to the restroom the gentleman in plainclothes asked if I was staying at the hotel and I said no I'm not and he said you can't use the restroom and I said oh well that's a first and then even the two ladies behind the counter said no you cannot use the restroom I work for Uber and Lyft and pick up many clients from all over and have asked to use the restroom before and I've never been told no so I guarantee you I will no longer pick up customers from this hotel. I was here for a one week class and the staff took very good care of me. The room was bright, airy, quiet, and clean, the pillows were prefect, and the free breakfast was a winner with plenty of gluten free items (available upon request). The only downside is the traffic on the main drag that that Castleton Way connects to, but the Hampton can't do anything about that. There is a "pretend luxury" outlet mall nearby along with a large Lowes. I am looking forward to returning again. read more

The Hampton Inn at Castle Rock has seen better days. I suggest a move to a newer more updated hotel. While the service was wonderful and the hotel staff went the extra mile. It needs an update. I believe it has churned out guests 24/7/365 and needs a well deserved makeover. Our room stay was interrupted by maintenance to check on my shower draining onto the poor soul below. We moved to a room with a door that didn't lock. That's three rooms with difficulties. My guess is that we were not alone. It isn't up to the nice Hampton Inns we usually stay at. I travel all over the map with Hilton and disappointed again with a Hampton Inn. I was traveling with Two other Platinum guests but the RSVP was under my name. We changed to their name and it came time to get my co workers their 2 items to take to their rooms. I made he comment they need to take water because they are not used to the altitude and the front desk person said the water and treats are per car. This isn't something you say to gold and Platinum members who frequent your hotel brands. We bought water for the 1.50 but we will not be staying again here. Had a great experience here reserved our rooms on line.we stayed her for 3 nights.Comfy beds pillows are awsome very nice staff.Pool was very clean. Love the free breakfast. Parking is good.really close to the store but i also love that the outlets are right across the street walking distance. Wi-Fi is free with the book of your room.Gym is open 24/7.Cable has good channels and most of all the restrooms are nice and clean everyday room service comes in.They clean and change the sheets and towels for nice and clean ones.Over all my experience was great i loved it i would come back anytime i really do recommend it. read more

We recently stayed while on our summer vacation. The staff was amazing and very friendly. The room we had was extremely clean and even the housekeepers were nice. The hotel room was very clean and the pillows were comfy. A huge variety of television channels to choose from for all family members. The complimentary breakfast was great with everything from fresh fruit to eggs to french toast and waffles. Complimentary coffee and tea available 24/7 in the lobby was a nice treat. The pool was a bit small but very clean. The only complaint we have is the location of the hotel which is right off the freeway so all night traffic was a bit disturbing. We did find a pair of complimentary ear plugs in the restroom the next morning so those may have made a difference in our sleeping experience. Denied a late check out... Not once in my life have I been denied a late checkout. This is a Hilton brand!?! Not a fan of Hampton as it is but the Hyatt isn't in Castle Rock. I'd say it beats the Holiday Inn but I've never been denied a late check out at the Holiday. Beds are just as comfortable... Room are just as clean... Save a few bucks and stay there. First off, they messed up my billing info. Secondly the key I was given did not open the side door, so had to walk all the way around to the lobby to enter that way. When I told them that my key did not work on side door, I was told that you have to jiggle the door and it would open. I said "why don't you just fix the door?", no response! Next my key to the room didn't work and had to go down to the front desk to get a new key made! Then had to go back down there to correct the billing info that they didn't correct when I checked in! Then the power went out and was out for at least 4 hours, when I decided to check out of the 2 rooms! No lights, no air conditioner, no TV, no elevator and we were on the 4th floor, and I am 68. The stairwells were very dark, and you could hardly see, someone was going to get hurt. So I decided to check my family out of the hotel, and the front desk person showed me no customer service, by telling me she would have to charge me for the 2nd night even though we wouldn't be there. This place is pathetic, will never stay there again, and I am a Hilton Honors member! read more

I stayed at this hotel October 2016. Please check your records. Of course, this is another way that the staff has no idea what they are doing. They dont know how to check something as simple as a folio before they respond. I was not asking for a discount but for rates outside of the wedding rate as everyone is traveling from out of town and making this trip to CO a vacation. I did not want the guest to think their entire stay would be at the group rate and wanted to be transparent up front. It is not my fault if the staff doesnt know how to read and understand words that are written in an email. If they want to be upset when someone asks for clarification, then that is their fault. Do not stay at this hotel! There are other hotels in the area that can not only provide you with clean rooms but better staff with customer service. It would be best if you stayed away as the hotel owner and his staff do not care about their customers. They will lie to you and go back on their own word. Just to let you know this Hotel does not support Vets ! The manager is very rude! My wife is a disabled Vet and had stayed there before with her Service Dog without any problem. When she called she talked to the manager Chris and told her about her service dog she was bringing. The manager asked my wife what her dog was for . My wife stated her dog is everything to her and her dog assist her in every day activities !my wife does in the AM!And the manager was very nasty in her emails to my wife saying she was not welcome ! Extremely disappointed in the service I experience today 10/19/2015 10:00am. I have been a very frequent user of Hilton Properties by virtue of my business travel going on 6 or so years now. Due to my changing schedules I sometimes have to cancel reservations, even though not often, it does happen from time to time. Never have I had an issue. This morning I contacted the front desk at the Hampton Inn Castle Rock, CO to cancel my reservation for this evening, my business destination had changed unexpectedly. The person at the front desk whom answered my called explained that she could not cancel my reservation. I asked to speak with the manager. She explained that the manager as well could not make the change due to a Hilton Corporate policy just put in place this past January 2015 stating that after 12:00 midnight of the day prior to the reservation, no cancellations are allowed. I then called Hilton Corporate direct. I was informed by corporate that yes, a policy change was made, but, that each individual location has the ability to override that policy and cancel any reservation at the management level. The person I spoke to with with Hilton Coorporate even went above and beyond to contact Hampton Inn in Castle Rock, CO to help me cancel and in the end was told by the front desk that Management was not available to be spoken to and that the reservation would not be canceled. The Hilton representative even tried to discuss a lower penalty to cancel, which in my case was the full one night stay amount, to a lower penalty, and the in the end Hampton Inn in Castle Rock, CO would not bend on their rule. Unbelievable, Hilton Corporate couldn't even speak with management??? Sad management response on Hampton Inn if you ask me. This is very disappointing to me. As someone who travels weekly, I use the Hilton Properties extensively, hence my earned Diamond Status. Mind you, I don't state this to feel important. It would be very easy for Hampton Inn in Castle Rock, CO to research my travel history, see that I am a frequent user of the Hilton Properties as a frequent business traveler and have flexibility and grace not to penalize me for a change in my travel requirements. GREED in my opinioin is all they have shown!!!! With that I will NEVER stay or support this particular hilton property with my business, money, time or support. As for the Hilton franchise. Hilton Corporate was very nice and helpful with my request. They went out of their way to support my needs and considering my circumstance. I don't enjoy traveling away from my family but it's part of what I do to support them. A company that understands this has my business. Hilton franchise has it.
