Nice hotel but I expected that. We have stayed at the Holiday Inn for many years for both business and pleasure. I am now in Denver on business for 10 days and chose the Holiday Inn on 6638 S Nome St. in Centennial, CO since it appears the nearby Best Western Denver Tech Center no longer exists. My days start early so I make it a point to stay where a complimentary breakfast is provided. It is an amenity and benefit especially with the state of the current economy. One of the reasons I have selected Holiday Inn over these years is that breakfast is provided. Now I learned upon arriving at this Holiday Inn that they have eliminated the complimentary breakfast and replaced it with a restaurant called "Burger Theory." To compare what I normally eat at the complimentary breakfast, this restaurant charges about $20 for two eggs, meat, coffee, juice, and a tip! Many of the options cost even more! I cannot believe Holiday Inn is so bad off that they need to charge for breakfast! For a 10-day stay that is $200! Well, they can forget it. I will get by with other cheaper options but they should know I will not be staying at a Holiday Inn any longer. There are over 171 Hotels in the area that serve complimentary breakfasts. They have lost my business and that of my family and business associates!

Brand spanking new. Well appointed room.

I recently visited to view the Roland Bernier retrospective which included a substantial selection of his work from the 1980s/1990s. The expansive lobby provided an excellent setting for his large-scale works. Additional art display space is available in the long hallway that leads from the lobby to the administration offices. The Arts Center has a busy schedule of theatrical and musical events that are presented in the Main Stage and Terrace theaters. There is also a regular schedule of art exhibits. This is a well-designed complex that offers many reasons to visit for those with an interest in many areas of the arts.

The Lake House reopened during quarantine with many restrictions around food and social distancing, but we still had a blast. Parking was awful because the main entrance was blocked off, so we found a nearby school lot. It was a nice walk down to the marina. We headed straight to the bar and ordered White Claws and shots. Not sure if this is their typical alcohol selection or limited because of COVID-19. Either way, there was one bartender juggling all the patrons, and she was always friendly. Seating lined the outdoor patio facing the beach. My friend said there used to be live music here, but I guess we'll have to wait until the pandemic is over. For food, they only had basic hot dogs roasting in the oven and bags of chips. For how much we drank, I'm grateful there was anything. Overall it's a decent pub and a perfect spot to take the pups after a day in Cherry Creek park.

We just had a beverage at the bar and an appetizer, but both the house beverage and the appetizer were great. The bartender was friendly, explained how he made the drinks, and of course since the place is brand new it was very bright and clean. We checked out the menu and saw several items that interested us. We will be back for dinner soon!
