Attending a conference downtown, I had hoped to stay at a hotel near the convention center. My office had other plans and booked me at the Hyatt Place Cherry Creek. So even though I wasn't looking forward to it, it actually worked out pretty well! It's a standard hotel -- nothing particularly fancy or, alternatively, bad. I appreciated that there is a 7-11 across the street, which I visited twice for drinks and snacks. Handy! I also walked to dinner -- Viale Pizza -- and enjoyed it very much. (I'll review it separately.). The staff was kind; the area was quiet; I slept well. I would definitively stay at this hotel again. read more

Pros- newly renovated hotel with modern rooms and amenities. Spacious room with shampoo, condition and shower gel mounted to the wall instead of single use ones. Breakfast was the highlight. They had fresh cut fruits and berries along with scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, sourdough bread and steel cut oats! Cons- thin walls, stained and ripped bath towels (not sure why they thought they were still usable). Broken tiles on the bathtub wall, which potential creates a mold situation if water continues leak. The bed was not comfortable, you sunk right in without much support. $15 parking and no pool. Overall, this hotel is in a good location for shopping and dinning along Colorado Blvd. This is a decent choice for around $120. read more

We stayed at the Hyatt Place Denver/Cherry Creek over the weekend, and while our stay didn't start off as planned, it ended on a very positive note thanks to the outstanding customer service from the front desk team and manager, Sean. We arrived around 11:00 PM on Saturday after a long day, only to find out our reserved room had been double-booked. This was especially frustrating because my wife had called the hotel earlier that day to let them know we'd be checking in late. We were offered a room with one king bed and a pullout sofa. While that can certainly work in a pinch, it wasn't the ideal setup for our family of three with an older teenage daughter who needed a good night's sleep before a full day of softball games. The Saturday night front desk associate was friendly, empathetic, and handled the situation as well as she could. Since no double rooms were available, she documented everything in the system and left notes so we could move the next day. The Sunday morning front desk associate followed through exactly as promised, found us a room with two beds just a few doors away, and made moving our 10 bags much easier. We came back that evening, switched rooms in just a few minutes, and ended up with a beautiful view of the mountains and sunset. On checkout day, we mentioned the original issue to the front desk. Sean, the manager, personally called me afterward to apologize. He also comped our room and parking. As two former Hilton employees, my wife and I know mistakes happen in the hotel business. What matters is how they're handled, and Sean's professionalism and personal follow-up were outstanding. The hotel itself is excellent. It's probably the nicest Hyatt Place we've stayed at and certainly the largest, with 11 stories. The location is in a safe area and very close to a variety of restaurants, shopping, Whole Foods, Walgreens, and a local microbrewery. If you enjoy supporting small businesses, check out the nearby coffee roaster (just note they're closed Sunday mornings). The complimentary breakfast was very good, and the self-parking is easy and convenient--you can save your money and skip valet unless you simply prefer it. A rough start turned into a great stay because of people who genuinely cared about making things right. Thank you to both front desk associates and especially to Sean for the excellent service. If you plan on just getting sleep here, this place serves its purpose. Beyond that, it's an average hotel. It's a nice location near some retail and restaurants but the rooms and property are a little dated. Also for the price, it's a nice value hotel. Very convenient location to restaurants, downtown, and main attractions! I booked the hotel through my work discount and it was about $100 a night, which is not bad for the Hyatt. Parking is $15 a day, self-parking. The only downside is there is no microwave and they don't provide free waters in the room. Overall, clean hotel and convenient location! Will recommend. read more

I visited Hyatt Place Denver Cherry Creek on a work trip, and it was a very relaxing and cozy hotel, perfect for a quick few-days stay. Nestled in the Cherry Creek area of Denver, the neighborhood is very nice and cozy, like you're in a Hallmark movie LOL. The lobby and check in area are very warm with neutral color palettes, and the front desk staff were helpful and cheery. The ambiance of my room was very light with white decor and a few aqua tones for pops of color throughout. I was placed in a suite style room that had a separate sitting area, that housed a large comfy L-shaped couch. The bathroom was large and bright, with simple amenities and a sliding, frosted glass door. The bed was very simple, but clean and comfortable which is all that matters. There was also a large desk if you need to get some work done (another plus for choosing this hotel for business travel). Overall, this is a pretty standard hotel with no huge frills, but gets it right where it counts - cleanliness, service, and comfort. read more

Quite possibly the worst hotel Ive ever stayed in. We checked out 20 minutes after checking in. The desk agents couldnt have cared less. We told them the problems with the room, they didnt offer us a different room or ask how to improve our stay...nothing! They were passive aggressive when telling them about the issues and trying to show them the pictures. They didnt give a f&$k. A guy and a woman. We checked in late at night after getting off the road so it was the night staff. I wouldve had a better experience at a motel 6. We booked this hotel because weve booked stays at many hyatt place hotels around the country and never had a bad experience. Well never book here again. We booked another hotel immediately and lost our money. Which wasnt the biggest issue- it was the indifference and lack of care the staff showed. He even said "oh wow thats never happened before, have a good night" ...we were like wtf is going on here. The room: broken toilet (didnt flush), dirty towels (one had someones blood on it - i have pictures), shower was disgusting and not clean, broken bathroom lock dirty sheets on the bed, stains everywhere (we have pictures). Never again! Save yourself the headache. Fyi i saw another poster say parking is free. No, it is not. read more

I'm in Denver for a 24 hour stay for a meeting in our corporate office. My colleague said this location was nice and the most convenient to the office. I booked directly on the Hyatt.com website The advance member rate (no refund) was significantly lower than third- party sites. I called ahead to advise I was going to be a late check by 5:00pm. No worries. Online email check in. The amenities are typical. Small gym, okay cafe, and clean. The room was nice and the towels weren't scratchy. Lol! It's an affordable business traveler hotel. The room we had was very nice. It was a suite on the 10th floor with two rooms. Unfortunately, the broken elevator was a big downer mostly in the mornings. Nothing was offered to compensate either even after I filled out online survey. The elevator mess caused near fights and overcrowding and long waits if you decided to go down or up during breakfast time. Also , why are you only filling one pot of coffee for 100s of people. Fix the elevator or give us free parking or something. Not good. read more

Coffee in regular carafes HAD TO BE decaf. So disappointed. Stayed for two days and was exhausted after having the coffee, got caffeine headaches. Room was nice, breakfast was pretty good. As a business traveler, I requested high floor away from elevator. That's exactly what I got. Parking is $12 daily unsecured. The greeting was professional and quick. They have a small bar and snack foods available. You can get a burger, chicken wings, or salad/sandwich. It's not a full service restaurant but definitely cost efficient and locality is important. Safe. Room is very clean and anything you need seems to be nothing too hard to accommodate. Nice double bed. Extra linens and refrigerator in room. All odd floors have ice machines. So if you want quiet be on even floors. Building is 11 stories over looking the Rocky Mountains read more

Areas for Improvement: 1. Customer Service: It is unfortunate that I have to write this review, but it may reach the appropriate management. 2. Deposit Refund Process: Unlike other hotels, the refund process for the deposit is extremely difficult. I have left multiple voicemails and received no response. When I called for an email receipt, there was also no response. After 30 minutes, I was told that the hotel was very busy and that I should wait. living 10 minutes away and driving over, i sat in parking lot to see how busy they were since I was told to give it time there busy. There was only one person that checked in during that time. I called again after approximately an hour, and at this point,I was informed that I would need to speak with a manager. I've already tried that by leaving messages. SMH. 3. Check-In Process: The check-in process was also a hassle. Overall, the room was clean and comfortable, but the mattress was too firm, causing me to wake up with severe back pain. I believe that this hotel has the potential to provide better customer service and be a great hotel. Just need workers to be held accountable including management calling customers back when they leave a voicemail. read more

This hotel was fine for business travel. They have lots of seating in their lobby which made it easy to meet people and converse without the pressure of finding a restaurant or meeting space. They offer a basic breakfast with hot foods, cereal and fruit. They have a large parking area, self serve at $15/night. The room and bathroom was updated and clean. I have been here a couple of times for staycations and have felt safe as well as pleased with everything that comes with this hotel. The staff has been friendly at every encounter and my only minor complaint is that we have to pay for parking around $15/night: my understanding is that you're paying for security watching the lot after 10p each night. Two words... BED BUGS!! I'm not even sure if I should start with the bed bugs themselves or the utter lack of customer service once we found them. After laying down for bed I saw something crawl across my pillow. Once the lights were on I could see that it was something that looked eerily similar to a bed bug. I immediately called the from desk and the night manager Chandler said she would come up to the room. Once in our room she proceeded to tell us that she didn't think it was a bed bug but probably "just a random bug" that ended up in the bed. When asked how she knew it wasn't a bed bug she proceeded to tell me that based oh her previous internet research bed bugs are usually smaller than the one we found crawling in the bed. WHAT?!?! How can she even say for sure?! Safe to say it wasn't a random bug because we found two more. The most appalling part was that she offered a half apology while also being sure to tell us that there were no other rooms in the hotel that she could offer. She actually expected us to assume it wasn't a bed bug and to SLEEP IN THE BEDS!!! There was no offer of trying to help us secure another hotel room elsewhere, to have someone come inspect for additional bugs, or even an offer to have someone come and change the sheets. We asked for the managers information and we're told that no manager would be on site until 9am (at this point is was 2:30am). We asked for the managers # and were told she didn't have it but could only transfer a call to the managers voicemail. She also told us that she wasn't authorized to reimburse anything. Needless to say we checked out immediately, changed our return flights and headed to the airport in order to get the heck out of there. This place has both disgusting due to bed bugs and a disgusting level of customer service. I will NEVER stay here again. read more

(I have a sivere allergies to smells could be anything that sets my head off) Staying for one night mind you. We get to the room around 3pm. Nothing seems amiss. Can't smell anything off or strange. We go out and come back after dinner and so. E shopping. I sit on the bed only to smell idk but it causes my head to go poof. Instant headache and my eyes hurt from it. It's like sent beads or something. Seems to get worse the more I move. My husband goes down stairs to ask about pillows that dint smell of this stuff. The staff ever helpful tell him that they can make a note for tomorrow. Oh so helpful. So I will not be sleeping well and having a massive headache all night. No one ever said they use such products on the site and we need to have make a request to skip the smell on the bed, sheets, blankets, and the pillows. (the towels, pillows on the sofa, and the sofa Do not SMELL OF ANYTHING). Also we have to pay $15 a night for parking in Glendale. This hotel IS NOT CHERRY CREEK. I ask if it's in the parking garage. The snooty front desk girl from the day staff says the parking garage belongs to the highrise next door & is secure and safe. Charges by the hour. They claim there is a security guard that goes around and checks the lot. This is not in a high-end area in fact it's very low end. Use to be a Lowes hotel, still thinks they are. read more

I love this particular hotel and its location. While there was a fee to pay for parking, I felt it was worth it because the price for a one night stay was so affordable. So it all balanced out. The check-in was smooth and easy. The front desk clerks were really friendly and helpful. I even ended up needing to receive a fax the next morning and the front desk attendant was just so professional and accommodating! The room itself was astounding! Everything was pristine, immaculate, and quite lovely! We explored the lobby area as well and it was impressive. I would live here for a month if I could afford it. The continental breakfast was free and was good. The server was really generous with the portions and we were able to get seconds because there was so much food. I actually had the chance to go to another hotel nearby and I am telling you there was a huge difference and a total 180. Not only was that hotel more expensive, but it charge for parking and breakfast, and the hotel room was considered average at best. In comparison, Hyatt gets the gold! I'm truly taken aback that I have been charged for smoking in the hotel room. I 26yr old female and my boyfriend 26yr old male , missed our flight and need one night at the hotel . The morning of us checking out my boyfriend walked to the dispensary to see if he wanted anything before we left. before completing the check out process I emptied the belongings in my purse into the trash as i was flying back to North Carolina where weed is illegal. after checking out my boyfriend and I sat on the bench right outside of the hotel and smoked waiting for our ride . the hotel has sent pictures from different rooms of bowls and things that we did not have trying to accuse us of smoking and has charged me $250 for putting and empty backwood pack in the trash... if we smoked in the room there would have been no way to air it out as the window does not open and we I'm sure are on camera smoking OUTSIDE of the hotel . very disappointed pics of so-called proof attached. Since I explained that I threw those contents away they tried to say I had a bowl and you can see the pics are from two different rooms. Very disappointing won't be back. read more

We caught them at a tough time with their air conditioning barely working. They said it was at 70% capacity but what this meant in reality was four nights of terrible sleep. They made parking complementary (you could probably park for free anyway... it's a huge lit with no control gate), and they offered 10% off of our stay. Since we booked with CC points that didn't really help us. Breakfast area was pretty overwhelmed with people and items were running out and selection of items was just ok. On the plus side, staff was very friendly and understanding of a tough situation and the location is good. Rooms are big, beds ok, and shower is fairly strong. But, hotel's HVAC obviously needs some attention. read more

So we reserved and pre-paid for a king suite, when we arrive they're like oh sorry none available. How about a regular king room with a Mountain View? We are Hyatt members with a Hyatt credit card and usually get upgraded but apparently Cherry Creek downgrades. If I wanted a regular room, I would have paid less for a regular room. If I wanted 2 queen beds, I would have reserved those. When I pre-pay a room, I except that room or better, not less for the same price. Called this evening to go over a few details regarding my upcoming stay at Hyatt Cherry Creek. The associate Anya spoke so quickly that I could not understand a word she said. I asked a few questions about my reservation, parking, the breakfast and a few other minor details. About two questions in, she became very short, rude and unprofessional. I let her know that I didn't appreciate her tone and she immediately offered to end the call if I wasn't happy with the way she was speaking to me. I haven't even gotten to the hotel yet, and I'm already displeased. I will most definitely be writing corporate to inform them of this experience and will also be looking for a different hotel. read more

Hope they treat customers better than applicants. I interviewed for night auditor. and was basically told I had the job as long as schedule could be worked out between two properties. Never heard back even called and emailed. Cars/vehicles/trailers are often broken into or stolen from parking lot, I was told. There had been a trailer stolen the manager had to deal with after my interview. Very high crime area. read more
