A sad little two-star hotel that is on the path to being abandoned to ghosts -- unless it gets renovated and refreshed in the next two years. The people who work here and the continental breakfast were the most promising part of the hotel. The person at the front desk was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, her kind smiles could not cover over management's lack of care for the hotel. Here were the things that were in disrepair: 1. The doors leading outside the hotel were not easy to close, especially the one facing the pool. This means the door was left ajar and anyone could get into the hotel. 2. The water smelled like sulfur or rusted iron coming out of the sink and tub faucets. There were stains in the sink and tub as a result. 3. The hotel was musty and smelled of smoke. They need a better a/c or dehumidifier system -- or doors that close to shut out the mugginess from outside, see above. 4. The carpet in the room felt sticky and moist from the air as well. 5. The window curtains lacked a second thin layer so you had to choose between privacy and light. 6. The tub stopper did not work. 7. The phone in our room had no dial tone and did not work. I've stayed at Motel 6s that were more comfortable. The best way to sum up this place is their "fitness room" which they turned into a reservable room for a patron but left the fitness room sign next to it and used blue tape to say "this is room 110 now do not use your room key to open" and then two doors down stuck two treadmills from the 1970s into a bedroom and slapped "fitness room" to the outside of that door. They tried just hard enough to make the whole experience here sad and depressing. read more

Do yourself a favor and find a different hotel When I first rolled up I thought the place was closed because it looked deserted, but no, it is actually open. I was actually afraid being in this place. "fitness center" was a closet with a treadmill and a bike, with barely room to use either rooms are supposed to be "smoke free", but all smell of smoke my first room had a sliding patio door, and the door wouldn't lock none of the 1st floor rooms patio doors are locked as a default I'm pretty sure rooms have an hourly rental option the "hot tub" in the room had the control panel box door hanging open the tub and sink did not have stoppers in them water smells of sulfur The towel rack was falling off of the wall The tub is slippery, and no bar to hold onto to get in or out as you are sliding all over the place the restaurant in the hotel is not open the paved parking lot has lots of grass growing through it The exterior of the hotel is in shambles with crushed areas and exterior parts falling off employees do not wear a uniform or nametag at no time was I asked if things were good, or if I had a good stay when I was checking out There was no breakfast or coffee or tea of anykind. The word "Quality" should be removed from the title of this hotel. If I arrived during daylight, I would have left immediately! The staff was no where to be found to check in. The person who finally came to the front desk was dressed in sweats. She was at least pleasant to speak with. The room was filthy!!! The bathroom was very dirty- pee on the toilet seat, dirty mirrors, rust stained shower and stained toilets. The towels were even dirty and stained! Our only saving grace is our sheets were clean (our neighbor wasn't so lucky). The curtains had holes in them and the air unit was dirty (just like the floors and walls). I was happy we didn't need to use the refrigerator because it was extremally dirty. In the morning I went to check out the continental breakfast and I wish I hadn't. They had no hot food unless you wanted to make a waffle in a dirty waffle iron with waffle batter that was separated and lumpy. There was a jar of peanut butter you can share with the rest of the guests and packets of oatmeal. Totally unacceptable. The Worst! Room was filthy, carpet torn and worn out. Mold and mildew in room and bathroom! I ended up driving back to Bucknell and sleeping on floor in my daughter's dorm room. This was the best hotel we've stayed at, for some. Room was spotless and well stocked. Breakfast was great. We will make sure that we take advantage of the indoor pool on our next stay. Also the hotel is within waking distance from Buffalo wings restaurant and Meijer store. So convenient. There several great restaurants within a few minutes drive from the hotel. We have stayed at a lot of hotels in our travels. Budget friendly to extravagant. I have never written a review that was this poor - I feel like I had a fever dream upon checking in. When we checked in, the woman at the front desk with pink hair looked timid and nervous but was kind and helpful. That was probably the only good thing about this hotel. We asked for a cart for our luggage and the front desk worker informed us that there was no elevator. She offered for us to stay on the first floor which we agreed to. Upon walking into the room, we noticed a musty/moldy smell. The lampshades are stained with nicotine. The bedding is stained with brown markings. The rugs were so filthy we were afraid to take our shoes off. There was a baseball sized clump of black tar looking stuff in the air conditioner as though there had been a fire. The bathroom had water that smelled rotten. The beds were hard and uncomfortably squeaky. We fell asleep after a 4.5 hour drive and got up to go to our activities for the day. When we walked back into our room for the second night after a long day outside, we stepped into a flooded bathroom. Sewage water was dripping from the ceiling. There was water on our toothbrushes, our floor, on the toilet seat. There were two men who came to "evaluate" the damages. One man asked me "Where is the flooding" which I pointed that it was obvious where the flooding was as the floor was soaked and the toilet was as well. We demanded compensation for their failure to uphold their end of the deal and give us a comfortable stay and they told us they would not. They offered a new room which we declined. The rude man said "Good luck finding another hotel they are all booked!" He also stated that he was going to kick out the people above us as though it was their fault the hotel plumbing was screwed up. The icing on top of the cake is that when we went to dispute it with Expedia, the hotel told Expedia that we never checked out. When I handed the front desk my key cards, said "I am checking out, what else do I need" and the man responded "Nothing, you are good to go" I thought that was sufficient. In reality they didn't hand me my checkout so that they could fraudulently keep us checked into their disgusting, moldy, run down rooms. I am not sure if the hotel gets away with stuff normally but for a family of 4 that came to visit under no influences of drugs and alcohol ages from 5 to 65 it was absolutely disgusting. This is not normal to operate a hotel in this manner. The workers should be ashamed and embarrassed to even say they work here let alone operate under these conditions. This hotel needs to be shut down. SHADY SHADY SHADY. I wouldn't spend $15 to stay here. I wouldn't even recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. The workers here are nice and very helpful but the place really needs fixing. The water is terrible. Not sure how people can get a decent shower here or brush their teeth. I would not recommend staying here. It appears abandoned on the outside. When you enter there's 5-6 gambling machines in the lobby, a small window surrounded room with 3 exercise machines labeled "meditation room" and the bar directly to the right. This place definitely caters more to the bar patrons than the hotel guests. The front desk person told us that our room was in the back so we should drive around, without telling us what end to go to. Very confusing. Broken fluorescent bulb near the entrance we were closest to, it was never swept up during our stay. Parking lot has a ton of pot holes. Long dark hallway. Some rooms were labeled with sharpie. Our room smelled like old cigarettes. Was probably a smoking room and never renovated. Toilet seat wasn't for the correct toilet. Bed was extremely uncomfortable. I almost broke my toe on the baseboard of the bed that is broken on the left side, shouldn't be that far out (checked the other side of the bed and it was fine on that side) water smelled like copper. I don't know where all the good reviews are coming from. I couldn't see the bottom of the pool it was so cloudy and unkempt. The rooms smelled like mothballs and urine. Disgusting! The bathrooms in the lobby were broken. We traveled 3 1/2 hours, had to wait for our rooms to be ready in the lobby and then we had no bathrooms to use. It could be a great hotel but it obviously hasn't been updated in YEARS AND YEARS! We had toddlers so it wasn't healthy to stay there. To top it off we can't get our money back!! BEWARE! Definitely will not be going back. Reservation: We made our reservation online through Priceline.com. About a week before our trip I called to see if we could get adjoining rooms (we traveled with our son and his family). Tonya told me it would be no problem to get adjoining rooms giving me the room numbers 204 & 206. Long story short they gave one of our rooms away and over the next 2 days se were told when the room was available Friday morning and cleaned they would call to let us know it was ready. We never heard from the front desk and called that night speaking with Tonya again at which time she said she was checking in other guests, didn't have a list of what rooms had been cleaned and would have to get back with me. Again I never heard from anyone. At this point I was over the room situation and more concerned with the run around I was getting and aweful customer service with not even an attempt at making things right. Room: To be fair the room we stayed in was rather large. Although things are a little dated the room was clean and everything operated properly. The tub had what appeared to be rust or water stains. The water from the sink smelled like sulfur so be prepared when you brush your teeth. Breakfast: The first day we went down for breakfast there was very little left and the waffle mix was empty. Second day it wasn't bad. The small link sausage was too crisp but the larger sausage was cooked nicely. The eggs were good and so was the English muffin. Pool : The pool was something we enjoyed although the rail on the main steps looked like it had been broke and was duck taped together. Landscaping: The landscaping was a little rough making the parking lot look a little sketchy. We asked to get additional towels and the gentleman that cleaned them was very nice to give us some in the middle of folding them and rather than just grabbing some from those clean and handing them to us he actually took the time to fold them for us. Check out: We did not receive a copy of our checkout statement under the door but when I went down to checkout Renee helped us get a statement and was very pleasant in helping us get what we needed. In fact, they wait until a few days prior to our arrival to screw us out of our room reservation. Sorry to say this place should be closed down entirely. Place is in big time need of updating, and definitely need to find a staff that can operate the place fully. No restaurant because cook didn't show on 8/4/2018. No breakfast on Monday, 8/6/2018. Entire place smelled musty. A/C unit in one of rooms was spewing out mold and mildew. The staff refused to give us another room on Saturday, but when repairman came In On Sunday, He made the staff move us from room 113 to 122. We stayed based on family recommendation, but now I would say the family would be nuts to go back. The hotel also seems to be pretty liberal with your credit card, charging additional fees well above the reservation price quoted. They claim these charges will be taken off eventually. Bank contacted to handle complaint. How can you say anything good, when you see very little good here. I hate throwing money away, but that's exactly what we did this past weekend. Was on a long interstate trip and was getting late , found a coupon on line for this place and stopped, only to find they could accept a coupon on 12/7 that was good from 12/1 - 03/30 "cause they stopped accepting them a long time ago. This was a pretty nice hotel. I was passing through and needed to stop for the night. I called the online reservation system to book a room. That part was a nightmare but that is not the fault of this location. They booked me a king suite. The room was very nice and had a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. The breakfast was much better than some places and someone was actively trying to keep everything filled. The only downside is that the wifi needs to be stronger. We came here because a lot of the hotels in the nearby area were totally booked due to Hurricane Irene evacuations which turned out to be A-OK for us. The guy at the front desk was REALLY friendly, gave us a great rate, and the rooms were clean and large with ample toiletries, towels and closet space if you so desired. Wifi too which you may assume is a given these days but isn't and the back availability of parking in front and back allows for easy entry and the lounge was cheap, cozy, had a TV and a very nice bartender as well. She happened to mention that she brought some veggies from her garden to add to the salad which I thought was pretty sweet. The breakfast probably was the best part for our really brief stay - it has a full bar with the general fixings, cereal, milk, juice (OJ & apple), coffee, sausages and eggs (both pretty satisfactory in my hotel breakfast bar experience) and a WAFFLE MAKER. Nothing fancy but it's everything and more that we felt we wanted in an included breakfast. There's also a pool, laundry available (I mean, that's pretty cool), and the usual vending machines in the hotel. read more

I stayed at this hotel on a mystery deal through a travel website. The building is in dire need of upgrades. Upon arrival, I was appalled by the appearance of the building. At check in, the receptionist was very kind and accommodating. The room was clean enough complete with fridge and microwave, but it was very dated and the bed was as hard as a rock! I enjoyed the breakfast that had waffles, yogurt, eggs, toast, coffee, juices, and hash browns. However, the part that weirded me out was the fact that the water coming out of the faucets had a strange metallic smell to it. I recently booked this hotel and picked the wrong dates on Priceline. Honest mistake and the hotel refuses to refund me for unused time. Stay away from this dump. I recently took another trip to the area and chose to stay elsewhere because of their treatment of my previous issue. This quality inn had a huge empty parking lot. When we arrived at the hotel, the side of the building has huge chunk missing from it. My family requested a nonsmoking room, as all three of us traveling have asthma, and were given a smoking room that recked of cigarette, had cigarette burnt furniture and rug, and was extremely dusty. The walls are stained, wall paper peeling, windows were not cleaned, and the AC unit had stains amongst the top of it. Besides of our beds mattress topper was stained, the beds were cleaned, but were also noisy and uncomfortable. For a family of three adults, we were only given one key, which at all hotels I've stayed at, we were given at least two key cards for even a family of two. We were on the phone for over 15 minutes trying to get figured out, just to be told they'll bring a 'spray that'll reduce the smell of smoke,' that we another 15 minutes for them to bring to us. The manager friendly about it, they refunded us for the night and apologized for the inconvenience, but forced us to abandon our plans for the weekend. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would because it was so HORRENDOUS. My Non-smoking room REEKED of cigarettes and was not clean. Spider webs everywhere, stained/yellow lampshades and furniture. It was disgusting! WiFi did not work/ had terrible connectivity. The tv in my room was a Roku Smart TV which again, did not work because we had no WIFi, the cable on the TV did work but only 20 channels because it was a Roku TV.Water tasted and smelled like SULFUR. The room was not cleaned in a long while. I can say this due to the spiderwebs so thick and left so long that they were blackened with dust and dirt. Hanging from the ceiling over the bed, all around the room and down the walls in the corners. It took about an hour and 45 minutes to checked in although we prepaid for our rooms. We booked 4 king suites no smoking,and 1 double suite smoking. All of the rooms were smoking except the double suite that was supposed to be smoking. Tanya at the front desk was really nice but seemed to be high sometimes and could not figure out how to check us in. In 1 room the window was broken and couldn't close, the cigarette smell was so horrific that we smelled like we smoked. They kept saying that they wouldn't change the rooms that were booked on line and although I had my confirmations they still gave me the wrong type of rooms. They had 1 house keeper so she was sooo slow cleaning rooms when checked in at 6pm some of the rooms were not cleaned. They kept charging my card for prepaid rooms. I liked to call this place the "not so" quality inn. The front of the building had part of the siding missing due to a "storm" or something, or at least that is what I was told. The staff were not wearing masks in spite of the COVID outbreak, which was still required to be worn inside if you weren't in your rooms. Not setting a good example for your guests in my opinion. My biggest issue with this place was the cleanliness of the rooms. It wasn't terrible, or so I thought. I was washing my face the first night and I noticed hair clippings in the corner. I took a Clorox wipe that I brought for myself and wiped along the area where it was and when I looked down at the wipe it was brown and disgusting. This is not okay on ANY level and it makes it worse that we are still in a pandemic! They did clean the rooms on a daily basis and changed the sheets and towels, but I think the cleaning staff was doing the bare minimum and not really cleaning each time. I would not recommend staying at this hotel, especially when there is a best western right down the road that is probably 1000x better and cleaner. read more

Don't stay here. Absolutely the worst quality inn I have ever stayed at. I only stayed here because it had a restaurant. Unfortunately I was told the Friday night bartender called out so the restaurant didn't open. So I'll just go with out eating I guess. I'll make up for it at breakfast time. Except breakfast doesn't start until after 7 and I stayed late to get breakfast at 6. Every other quality inn serves breakfast at 6. The room had a funky smell to it and all the linens were clean I'm hoping even though they had a grayish tint. I get it's no five star hotel but this is unacceptable. I stay at quality inns about once or twice month this is by far the worst. The bed was very uncomfortable and the tiny pillows were horrible. Now I have to hit the road tired unrested hungry and angry with the feeling of getting ripped off due to getting no value for my money. Negative stars should be a thing! Almost forgot t add the wifi barely works its extremely slow and constantly drops. Something was also up with the shower water. No matter hot hot you make it it would wash the soap or shampoo out. Dusty, not clean. Allergies acted up with minutes. Itchy eyes, burning running nose, dry eyes, wheezing. Dust is the mosy common human irritant, easily avoided by cleaning. The duvets were clearly dusty. I had symptoms and was uncomfortable. Plus, the dude in the front sent me to the dark back of the building with a known busted entrance. Got a good deal on a 2 1/2 star hotel on a travel site, so took a chance and got this hotel. The room was larger than average, with some nice touches like a fridge, microwave, recliner, free WiFi, and USB charging ports on the nightstand. Not spotless, but clean enough for me. Breakfast was OK, nothing special, but at least had eggs and sausages for those of us who need to watch our carb intake. The main downer for me was that I was traveling with my dog, and their fee for pets was $15/night, higher than most hotels, and you don't find that out until you are in the process of checking in. If you got extra services or benefits from it, I wouldn't complain, but it's really just insurance for them in case your pet damages the room. The Red Roof Inn around the corner isn't nearly as nice, but doesn't charge anything extra for pets, so they'll be getting my business on my way back home. read more

relatively friendly staff and pretty quick service if something is wrong. close proximity to bloomsburg. pretty cheap on hotwire (but apparently not cheap enough!) i ended up here because a lot of the other options were either way expensive or just flat out sold out. i am not sure if the entire place is as run down as my room/suite, but the renovated front desk area is deceiving because my room was beat up. plus, for some reason, i got a smoking room - by the time i got to the hotel, i was dead tired. when i lugged all of my crap up the stairs to the room, i walked in and was shocked at how disgusting the smell was. however, i was SO tired and didn't feel like protesting. plus, i got somewhat used to it within a few minutes. but it certainly made everything i brought into the room stink. the room was not that clean. some hairs here and there, you know...just...dingy. nothing outrageous but i wasn't that thrilled. i would never stay here again. it's just not worth it, even for the ~$80-something per night rate. read more
