Staff was friendly...lobby & room was clean. A couple of things though...Did NOT care for the fact that the indoor pool is right in the main lobby behind a row of windows...a whole fishbowl scenario. Also, the bathroom lighting is very dim, but if you're into mood lighting whilst on the commode then it shouldn't be an issue. We've stayed here 3 times, it's the best hotel for families with kids in Fort Wayne! Clean and well maintained, very friendly staff. While the pool is small, it is an "indoor/outdoor" pool which the kids love. The pool area has lots of lounge chairs and clean pool towels. Gym is likewise clean and well stocked. Breakfast is ample with 3 hot choices, make your own pancakes, hot and cold cereal, fruit, yogurt, bagels, English muffins, toast, and of course coffee and juices. The rooms are updated and clean, and have microwaves and mini fridges, and beds are extremely comfortable. It's close to the fabulous Fort Wayne Zoo and across the street from Golden Corral (for a cheap all-you-can-eat dinner buffet). All of this for a very reasonable room rate means we will keep returning every time we visit Fort Wayne! read more

I stay in at least four different hotels a week and this is one of the better ones. Seems to have been remodeled fairly recent. They now have your average fair of breakfast items but I did notice (for the gluten free people) they have the individually wrapped udi bagels. Over all the place is clean, breakfast is decent and everyone seems helpful. read more

Overall it was acceptable. Nothing hideously wrong, reservation was good, sheets and bathroom seemed clean. Big "however": the pool area is obviously never cleaned. I noticed a beer bottle cap on the ground the first day, so I put it on a table. It stayed on that table for our entire 3-night stay. There was also a big hairball (probably from the filter being cleaned) on the floor the whole time. And there were roaches and ants (still in the pool area). One of the two beds in the room had a broken base. There is no way the housekeeping staff doesn't notice it when they make the beds, which means they are all just ignoring it. The bed was unbalanced because of it (tilted really heavily). So overall you can stay here if you don't mind a really gross pool and possibly broken beds. read more

This is decently priced and clean, for a 1-2 night stay. However, sketchy folks around walking to gas station from Travelodge hotel next door. Especially at night in the parking lot. There were always police presence next door. I did not feel safe at all. The most frustrating was I had to request housekeeping three times before my room was cleaned. I stayed longer than a week, and it took the manager to address the situation, before it was resolved. The upside was the manager offered me another lower quote if I decided to come back. The downside was my room was right by the exit, so I heard constant foot traffic, there wasn't any water pressure, and it never got warm enough in my room. Overall, it gets a "C." read more

Not too long ago for a business trip I stayed at The Wyndham . Luckily since my job funded my stay and expenditures, I trusted my company's judgement on picking a hotel. Days before my trip I envisioned the typical amenities one would get at most 3 or more star hotels, such as a hot tub/jacuzzi and athletic size pool. And especially since my expenditures were being funded I was also eager to order room service, imagining eating a juicy steak, eggs and hash browns and a pastry. When I arrived at the Wyndham, right away I noticed it was located in a very congested metropolis area of Fort Wayne. But on the bright side with so many businesses close by this is great for those that want to shop and, explore the city. Once checked in, as I headed towards the elevator on the way to my room, I saw a gigantic picture window with what looked like a 3ft (deep) mini-kitty pool (about 15 x 15), and an even smaller hot tub 8 x 8 in their pool room. So, to inquire about their recreational options and what was in the room I asked the attendant. He informed me that the 15 x 15 pool and the 8 x 8 hot tub were their (ONLY) recreational amenities at the Wyndham besides their gym. Needless to say, not only was I shocked but disappointed since I was expecting to dive off a diving board and swim that evening. Then disappointedly I reached my room, but once inside I was impressed with the layout. Plush king sized bed, office desk, cable T.V and a nice view. Additionally, as a bonus, Wyndham's pillows were extremely soft, like a cloud. So, in the morning after waking up I attempted to order breakfast, excited to feast on some steak. Only to find out when I called that BECAUSE OF COVID that not only are they no longer serving hot breakfasts they are not serving ANY hot meals PEIROD!!! The attendant told me that they were providing continental breakfasts for guests. I was handed a white paper bad, upon inspection of the bag all I saw was a cup of fruit that many companies serve preschoolers at daycares, and 1 pack of Belvita crackers!! Then the attendant looked at me and said in a fake (overly perky professional) manner, "Yes, we are providing our guests with some delicious fruit and Bel-vit-A!"(pronouncing Belvita with a French like accent). Shocked and irritated I went back to my room to heat my coffee in the microwave.... and.... the microwave was dead. In a hurry to get to work, I was forced to go to McDonalds for breakfast which is not supposed to be a typical or ideal culinary experience when staying at a reputable hotel. Once I arrived for work, sharing similar experiences, my colleagues were just as, if not more upset than myself sharing the same opinion about Wyndham's pool and hot tub. Luckily, my job fed us very well during our stay to compensate. My colleagues and I, our issues with the hot tub and pool was not only was it tiny, but it was directly facing the entrance and lobby providing no privacy!! Allowing everyone and anyone checking in to view people getting in an out of the water over half naked. Many people like myself don't want to be on display in that manner, especially regarding their bodies. Despite those issues my stay at the Wyndham was just decent only because their beds are extremely comfortable making my stay better. But my overall impression and suggestion is that this hotel is not ideal for those seeking recreations within a hotel. Rather the Wyndham is suited for people with cut-and-dry objectives such business trips. Eat, sleep, shower, and leave. Equating to all work but no play. Which forces people to explore the city for more leisurely and recreational experiences. read more

We stayed here for 4 days. Every day the breakfast was really great. The rooms were clean and the staff was really nice and helpful. We called down for more towels, and they were at our door in less than 10 minutes. The pool was really nice even though the heater was not working. The kids didn't mind at all. We would definitely recommend this hotel and will be staying here again if we ever have to go back to Fort Wayne. read more

Was in town for an event at the Allen County War Memorial Museum about 10 minutes from the hotel. The location of the hotel is great, plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. Front desk staff Rickey (check in) and Erykah (check out) were super friendly. Upon check in we were informed there was a voucher for 1 free drink (beer, wine, or bottled soda/water) and that the bar was still serving food for another 30 minutes to an hour. Patty, the bartender was great. We order Bourbon Bacon Burgers. I was impressed with the food. The meal cost a little over $20 before tip, so it definitely wasn't overpriced like most hotels. The free breakfast was decent. It consisted of chafing dishes of eggs, sausage, biscuits, sausage gravy as well as a waffle maker, cereal, pastries, and juices. The rooms are clean and recently remodeled, bed was comfortable. The only issue I had was teens running down the hall being loud at 3am, but that's not the fault of the hotel. read more

The managers are always helpful and on top of any issues that arise. I have seen uncooperative guests and people just be absolutely annoying towards them and they handled it perfectly. It's currently 8:10 am on a Sunday & I'm laying in bed after a late night, listening to hammering & saws in the room right above us. Now there's something ridiculously heavy being dropped on the floor repeatedly, making the ceiling & windows shake. I'm all for making updates, BUT THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! If you (the owners) need to remodel, then you need to man up & close for several weeks and/or months while that's happening, rather than deceiving your guests with no mention of construction on the booking website we used & then making their stay miserable. I am absolutely furious that we even paid for this experience! This is one complaint that will be taken to management. Additional info: Breakfast doesn't end at 10 as advertised, it actually ends around 9:15 because the kitchen staff won't refill the food items that are already gone, even when there's a full dining area of guests. It's no shocker that the dining area/kitchen is also under construction, but apparently that also gives you license to not clean. The carpet was a dirty mess, the footprints all over the tile have probably been there since 'Nam, & it makes me shudder to think of how long it's actually been since counters were cleaned. Also, the only drink sizes available are literally the size of shot glasses. The pool area is completely closed due to construction & it looks awful. Please, do not consider staying here. It's an absolute waste of money & a liability waiting to happen with all the construction. So disgusted with this place. read more

I did not enjoy my experience at this hotel. During a pandemic I was expecting a cleaner experience and Wyndham dropped the ball. The remote in a room was sticky...gross! The beds aren't very comfortable and staying for 2 nights were the longest 2 nights. Very friendly and helpful front desk staff. We also enjoyed the free drink voucher as well as the great service and attitude of the bartenders. They had great quality of bath products as well as great smelling breakfast and convenience to highway downtown and coliseum. Sorry wish I could give no star. However this is not an option. We have stayed at Wyndham resorts in the past and always had a good experience. We normally stay at the place down the street but decided to try Wyndham this visit. We checked in late, around 10, looking to rest and relax and swim a little. When walking in, both pools and hot tube were full, and I mean full of unsupervised kids. So we were forced to our room. No relaxing there either, kids running up and down the halls screaming and yelling, smashed food in the carpets. After about an hour of this we called the front desk "guest services". The staff member was rude and unprofessional. So I went down to the front desk through The gaggles of kids running in the hallway. It was like a scene from "The Labyrinth". No one was at the front desk so I picked up the card on the desk to talk to the General Manager, Nicki Brown. Surprisingly she picked up. I explained the situation and she said she would make some calls. It did get quieter after midnight. I'm not sure if it were kids getting tired or if the staff lifted a finger. Next visit will be down the street. Live and learn. I will ask for a refund on the way out. They did refund our stay. My recommendation was to have patrons that are with sports teams to be in different areas from the others guests. They said that was not possible! read more

We are traveling across the country and this is the worst experience we had after staying in about 50 hotels to date. If fact I can't remember the last time we had such terrible service. Brand new renovated inside and looks great. But, and here's the important part - The worst front desk service. This gal used profanity! Our room was situated across from a mechanical room with a broken door. So it was permanently open. Not that it would have made a difference had the door been closed. It was loud!! When we asked to move, the gal was belligerent, but did so unwilling. Then the new room lights were broken and the phone would ring once, then go quiet, repeatedly. Retaliation from the gal??? We left for the new Hyatt down the street and what a difference in professional customer service. Requested a refund from the manager, Zoeie, the next morning, but we were still charged! Checked in late on a Monday evening after a long day of traveling, I arrived around 12:30 a.m. it appears the hotel has recently been remodeled the front entrance was very appealing I checked into my room I found it nicely cleaned, with all updated features. I purchased the room through the express deals on priceline and it was rated a 3 star hotel. Not comparable at all to any other three star I've stayed in. There was no mini fridge which isn't a big deal, but they normally do. Everything just seemed outdated and old. The room was really basic, but I only paid $50 so that was fine. The reason main reason i give a poor review is that after we left the hotel, we were charged a $250 smoking fee... Neither me or my boyfriend smoke. We definitely did not smoke in this room. Were understanding so he called the hotel and told the front desk that this happened and the guy was like "are you sure, we're pretty accurate". Obviously were sure we don't smoke so the guy said he would call back within an hour because "they're computers are down". No call back, of course. Pretty unprofessional and definitely don't like dealing with a $250 fee for something we did not do. Won't be staying at a Wyndham again. read more

The room was spacious, bed was comfortable, and staff was helpful. Sound proofing was not the greatest - we heard a lot of doors slamming closed at all hours. Large outdoor area was great for socializing with friends - even a fire pit! Complimentary drink upon check in was a nice perk! read more
