For an overnight stay, it was decent. The front desk staff was friendly, welcoming and efficient, getting us checked in quickly and explaining everything they thought we needed to know for a pleasant stay without sounding like they were trying to sell us on something. The room was large and comfortable, though it did take a long minute for the air temperature to level out. We didn't really have time to spread out - we checked in, took a minute to relax, then called an Uber and hoofed it over to a brewery for the evening. By the time we got back we just needed to get cleaned up and fall into bed. Speaking of which, the bed was...okay. Not the most comfortable, of course, but at least we got a decent night's sleep. I think the thing that kept it from being a great night's sleep was the room's temperature. We were never quite able to get it to be the perfect feel, and when the air did kick on, it was just loud. The water pressure in the shower was nice, and the shower itself was a good size. I liked having the separate "sitting area" at the front of the room, even though we didn't really lounge, as mentioned above. I would say that this isn't the most conveniently-located hotel. There's not a lot nearby, it's close to the freeway but also kind of tucked away, and you can't just stroll down the street for a meal or a snack. Electricity work has happened so no electricity from 9p til 4am so that was fun when the small fridge with food was warm. As an ambassador I'm considering switching to Hilton. I really like this SpringHill location. The parking lot is large and there are plenty of spots. The team is always friendly and quick at the check-in. The rooms are modern and clean. The highway borders one side of the property and the railroad tracks are on the other side, but the rooms are well insulated and the outside noise didn't affect me at all. The AC let me get the room nice and cool, so I got some great nights of sleep. I had to leave before breakfast every day, but there were always snacks to grab at the front desk to grab on my way out. Here and there, we could hear the train go by. The water pressure from the shower was too low. With the low pressure, took me longer to shower than normally. Bed was pretty comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was nice. Options were plenty from cereals, oatmeal, eggs, sausages, waffles, bagels, etc. It is serve from 6:30-9:30. Parking is $5/night. This SpringHill Suites, part of Marriot, is a lovely stay near Disneyland. It's close by to freeways, and a short distance drive to nearby restaurants. The suite I stayed in was very nice. A large bathroom, 2 queen beds, a desk and couch - it was spacious and clean. There's also a gym where water bottles can be refilled. The free breakfast was fantastic. They had eggs, chicken nuggets, oatmeal and cereal with good quality toppings, waffles, pastries, yogurt, juice, fruits, coffee, water and more. The service here is very friendly - the front desk allowed us a late check-out and handled an accidental fire evacuation calmly and in an accommodating manner. I give this Springhill Suites a solid four stars. The room we had was the cleanest hotel I've been at and checkin was a breeze. The front desk staff were super helpful, and the cleaning staff were all diligent. There really isn't much to complain about and the location is super convenient to multiple freeway exits--plus really good restaurants in the local area. If you're heading to Disneyland this would be a great home base for your travels. One thing to note however is this Springhill is right by a railroad track and the trains come very often in the middle of the night. Now if you have your room AC blasting, it dampens the noise but if you don't, it can be a bit jarring if you're not use to it. A note to management, we understand the train is unavoidable but the desks with dividers in your rooms rattle when they go by. Please put some padding between the rails/glass or even maybe consider removing them entirely because the rattling from the glass woke us up more than the actual train. Overall still highly recommend this place and it seems like you don't need to pay extra for breakfast because no one checks. So complimentary breakfast for all. read more

We had a service animal and arrived late to the hotel- we forgot to register the animal and instead of hearing us out this lady charged my account $250 for a "cleaning fee" and kicked us out of the hotel mid day charging us not the one night that we actually stayed at the hotel but 2. She talked to us and treated us like absolute trash. I am in shock and dumbfounded... it also says in the lobby and on their website that they allow service animals. So backstory is we visit Disney every year. We usually fly into John Wayne and stay at one of those good neighbor hotels. This time around we opted to try something different. I was a little worried because we are so used to the ease and convenience of being so close to Disney, but I would definitely do this again! Spring Hill Suites in Placentia was our home base for four nights. We were here for a two day Disney trip and So cal adventure. This hotel is a great value if you are going to Disney. We saved about $600 on a hotel for a short drive to the parks. If you want to save money and don't mind driving I recommend this hotel. Tony at the front desk was amazing. He was able to accommodate our room requests and provided great customer service. This is a great hotel if you are just looking for a clean, comfortable, place to sleep. There is a train that runs by the hotel, but it did not bother us at all. Breakfast in the morning was good. If you stay at Residence Inn or Springhill properties then you know what to expect. Conveniently located near the 57 freeway between Orangethorpe and Chapman. Thankfully, we could not hear the freeway (we were on the freeway side of the hotel.) It's also near the train tracks... again, thankful that the train was not a nuisance. Of course, if you are a very light sleeper, you may want to bring earplugs. I usually am a light sleeper, but didn't hear the train at night, so it was non-issue for me. Love that the ice machine is on the "other" side of the elevators rather than in the hallway with the rooms so that we didn't have that noise all night long. The ceilings are thin? In the morning and in the evenings, it sounded like someone was jumping and stomping around the room the whole time. It was annoying, but livable as they seemed to settle down by 10pm every night. I don't know if all the rooms are like this or if it's just that we had heavy-footed folks above us. The 2-Queen room we had was very spacious with a desk that was set apart from the beds along with a little sitting area with couch and "coffee" table. Huge TV with apps that you could use your own log-in/account to access shows/movies if you didn't want to watch what was on 'regular' TV. WiFi worked great... or at least good enough for me to do my video conference calls and emails, etc. I didn't have any latency issues. There was also a small fridge and microwave in the room as well. The bathroom and countertop were wide, so you didn't feel cramped at all while getting ready. In fact, mom and I had all our stuff spread out on the counter and didn't interfere with one another. Note, there was only 1 sink, and the shower, sink and toilet are all in one "room". The morning breakfast is pretty standard fare... nothing exceptional. If you are looking for a "made to order" omelet, you should stay at Embassy Suites instead. There is a bar in the lobby that opens in the evenings should you like to un-wind with a glass of something. They also have (next to the check in desk) a small mini-market with all kinds of stuff from snacks to drinks to desserts. Folks working were very nice and took care of all our requests. (For instance, the conditioner and shower gel in our bathroom were out of stock so they had them re-filled immediately.) The parking lot is a bit tight, and can become very full to the point where I was concerned, we would not have a place to park, so I made sure we got back by 8pm. There is a patio and pool area that feels like it's in the parking lot (IMO). They do a pretty good job of making it NOT feel like it's in the parking lot, but still. There is also a nice work out / gym area with free weights and cardio equipment. Would I stay here again? Probably. It's hard to say since there are so many options in the area, and I tend not to be brand loyal... I'm more price sensitive. read more

I had a one night stay at the SpringHill for a wedding and the room was enormous and impressive but listen I am here to leave this review for one thing, and one thing only- the absolute FIRE selection of hot sauces that are set out during complimentary breakfast. I am a spice head and frequently travel with my own sauce (others are not to be trusted) so imagine my surprise to wake up and find this! So many brands/styles/colors/spice levels! I genuinely cannot remember a single thing else other than how happy I was with this selection. I stayed in a king suite for leisure for one night. I've never stayed here before and I really enjoyed my stay. The parking is easy, plenty of it. The lady at check in was very friendly and it was probably the easiest and quickest check-in process I've ever done. The room was clean. The property seems to be new. Everything in the room was in good working condition and very clean. The king suite was pretty spacious with a sitting area and a desk to work or eat. A mini fridge and microwave was provided. The bed was super comfy. Bathroom was spacious and had a decent amount of counter space. Water pressure in the shower was good. The AC unit worked well and fast. One thing that I found interesting about the room was the fact that the TV was situated in a weird spot. They hung it on the wall in between the bedroom and the sitting area. If you were to want to watch TV from bed, you'd have to look to your right instead of the TV being straight ahead. This didn't bother me at all because I didn't watch the TV but others may find this annoying. I'd definitely come back here. read more

I came in with coworkers as we had a 4 day job at the University close by, our job was canceled the first day early morning and we came in hoping we could check in early because normal check in was 3pm and we were a few hours early. Erica did her best to help us out and we were very pleased with her result. Honestly we thought she was the manager by the way she conducted herself and her attention to detail and customer service. She informed us she was actually still in training! So Marriot if she is any indication of how your staff is they are top notch, besides the great customer service we received the rooms were nice, clean and spacious. Breakfast was a nice selection and delicious and the gym was a little small but well equipped. Definitely coming back to this location for our next job in the area. read more

So very disappointed in Marriott, not that they care. My 77 year old father stayed with them while visiting us for a very busy weekend of activities. They claimed he broke a piece off of the television I. His room and charged him $250. I asked to see the piece and they claimed that he took it with him. It is their word against his and they are not bending. I know the tv wasn't broken by my father. If he broke something he would tell them and certainly not remove the broken piece. The hotel is unwilling to consider any other options. If the room was a mess I could see there point, but he literally left it with just an unmade bed and used towels, as one does. Shame on you Marriott. I know you don't care but I will be telling everyone who will listen about this. Had to reschedule my September Orange County/LA trip from the Labor Day weekend to another one, and my regular hotel had ridiculously high last minute rates. Ended up staying at the Springhill Suites Placentia/Fullerton. It's close to the off- and on-ramps of CA-57, and just a short trip from my OC homebase of Buena Park. This hotel had the usual SHS layout and complement of amenities, most important being complimentary parking & breakfast. They had an electrical charger for Electric Vehicles. Didn't ask if it cost anything to use it. They didn't have the usual Marriott pork patty (so tired of them after 911 days in a Marriott!), but some kind of pork Scottish banger sausage. Small but very important difference! Asked for and stayed in a room on the ground, love it when the hotel layout has them. They're usually close to an access door that you can use your room key to access, and the parking near them is usually empty. For the Springhill Suites layout, a ice machine is usually included on the ground floor too. All in all, a good stay in a decent hotel at a good price. It won't replace my primary Marriott's, but someplace to keep in mind as a plan B. Repeat and recommend! read more

Stayed her for a girls volleyball tournament at OPG as I was trying avoid any of the hotels catering to the Disneyland crowd and the prices. This hotel is clean and new which is always a plus. Our room had very ver soft beds- they felt old. The breakfast in the morning was great and the staff was super friendly. My only complaint was that the traffic noise is loud. I had white noise so it didn't really bother me at night. My girls said that the train shook the hotel- I didn't feel it. If you're a light sleeper this may be an issue. Hm, I'm not sure where all the negative reviews are coming from. For my husband and I, we had a great time at our stay with SpringHill Suites. Originally we were planning to stay at a different hotel that would be closer to Disney as that was our weekend plans, but because the other hotel was more expensive and had a higher daily parking fee, we decided to go with SpringHill Suites. We were looking for a decent priced hotel with a nice setting. Online, the pictures were so nice and we decided to go with them. I had requested for early check in and although I had to call a few times to check on that, it was okay because it is just a request and it wasn't going to be guaranteed. An hour prior to us reaching there, the front desk lady confirmed that we can do early check in. When we got there, the check in process was pretty easy and the staff at the front desk was nice. We got our key cards and as we walked in, we were pleasantly surprised to the quality of the room. It was exactly like how the pictures were shown online. Very clean, quiet, and nice. The drive from there to Disney is only about a 10 - 15 minute drive which is nothing. Depending on where you want to go, it may take longer from the hotel, but if you have a designated spot to go to like us, the drive is not bad at all. For the few days we were there, we requested for housekeeping to make our beds and every night we came back, it was made. New towels were stocked and the ease of asking for a new conditioner bottle was easy. The hotel is next to the freeway, but even then, we didn't hear anything and was able to sleep soundly each night we were there. The blinds were black out blinds, so no blinding light disrupted my sleep. The bathrooms are a bit cramped since they are kind of small, but I'm not really bothered too much by it. Also, I did take a few naps on their couch that was in the room and not going to lie, the couch was pretty comfy. The pull out under the couch though was a miss for my husband cause he had to nap on there when I napped on the couch. He didn't like it, but it was just for a nap, so it didn't bother him too much either. The tv is off to the side, so you won't be able to watch the tv straight in front of you, but the tv does rotate. Overall not really something to worry about either because we were too tired to watch anything any ways after a day of activities. They also have complimentary breakfast as well in the morning from a certain time, so if you wake up early enough and don't want to spend eating something else outside, that is provided to you. Daily parking is only $5 per day, so not too bad. Overall, I loved my stay here. If I am not trying another hotel next time, I'll definitely book here again. read more

THIS HOTEL SAVED US from the completely disasterous Embassy Suites in Brea! We were away for 2 separate weeks, split up by the weekend for business. We stayed in 2 different rooms. Both were GREAT. The hotel is immaculate, inside and out (and I'm pretty picky)! When I looked in to see what housekeeping was up to, they were pulling dressers out from the wall and vacuuming behind furniture, cleaning door boarders, and smiling at customers in-between! While working out, I saw housekeeping came in to check on towels and wipe things down. The free, hot breakfast was nicely done and well-stocked. It was so pleasant at night that my wife and I brought food in and ate in the lobby several times. There's an outdoor fireplace. We were going back and forth to Brea, but if you want somewhere that isn't crazy-packed (don't have to fight to get to food in the morning) for Disneyland, it's not too far. I drove over there - took just under 15 minutes. Roberto and his staff were just awesome. Special shout-out to Raina who was super-nice, the manager in charge of maintenance who was super-friendly and every housekeeping person we ran into. This place just seems to be doing everything right at their unusual location. Bonus tip - if you have kids, there is a train track adjacent to the property (kinda fun to have that go by). The windows are well sealed, so the noise really isn't an issue. My wife is a light sleeper and it didn't wake her up. We stayed at this hotel for our Mother's Day celebration. We were out and about all day and when we arrived we were exhausted. My mother moved one pillow off hers and just went straight to bed. This morning we woke and realized she had been sleeping on a moldy pillow!!! This is beyond disgusting. I went down and told the front desk clerk who gave me a look of " ok your mom slept on a moldy pillow and what?!" After moments of silence she offered to just take 20% off. We left the hotel and received the receipt and no discount was taken. I called the front desk and the clerk said the manager would be in at 9 to call back. My mom has been having a headache all day. Worst front desk service. When we arrived, we were told all 3 rooms were checked in and only 1 was ready. So we waited. 1hr later, we checked in with the front desk and was told none of our other rooms were checked in. The lady who checked us in left and the next person was not informed. In any case, we got the 2nd room. For the 3rd room, I was told I had to wait 2 hrs for it. I requested the room to be prioritized for cleaning and was told that was not possible. We were told we could check in at 3pm. We arrived at 2.30pm (got 1 room). 3.30pm got 2nd room. It's now 3.45pm and I am told to wait 2hrs. That's way past the check in time of 4pm. Over 6 months and again 1 month ago, we have emailed them to request for 3 connecting rooms or close by rooms and got no response. Bad overall customer service upon arrival. read more

I was very impressed at first with the hotel and the staff. There were two major problems for me by the end of the stay. The first was the air quality in the room had that yucky moisture/mildew/mold thing going on the whole time I was there... I had maintenance check it and was told that there was no problem with the filters... So my guess is maybe at some point there had been moisture in the carpet. It was definitely not pleasant and it was ongoing during my seven night stay. The second problem was being overcharged for parking based on the number of vehicles I had parked each night. A couple of nights I had just parked one car and five nights I had parked two. When I was overcharged at the end, the manager was very snippy with me and basically told me I hadn't turned in proper certification that I had only parked one car on the last night... I just felt so disrespected after paying nearly $1200 to stay there for a week. She wound up giving me 200 bonvoy points because I advocated for myself...
