The renovations are complete and the hotel was very clean and well managed. The day shift manager was super friendly and really helpful picking a room that worked with our pet. We had a great nights rest and a nice breakfast in the morning. The hotel is in a convenient location near I-80 as well as several nearby restaurants. The price was very high for what it was - $185 is a little high for what was offered. This may have been driven by the high occupancy rate, not sure. read more

Probably one of my least favorite Hampton inn properties that I've stayed at. Room is super cramped and what ever lighting they are using in the room is not relaxing it's super bright white lights. Hotels empty tonight it appears based on the parking lot and did not get an upgrade as a Hilton Diamond member. read more

I'm thouroghly disgusted. unacceptable. manager blamed me and straight out said I put it there. I stayed here for two nights during my Illinois Route 66 trip. This helped me not to worry about staying anywhere near Chicago and not so far from there. Though the hotel is right off the Interstate (80), it is away from the hustle and bustle from the cities, especially Joliet. Not too far from the I-55 intersection, which is convenient for many. A few good restaurants are nearby. The hotel experience was great. Everything was clean and tidy, as was the pool area. Unlike some of the other hotels during Covid-19, they provided a sack breakfast. Every staff member was friendly, and nothing to complain about. Would stay here again if ever in the neighborhood! read more

This roadside hotel rocks for being out of the city. Rooms are spacious, clean, and tastefully renovated. Check-in was prompt, smooth, and friendly (even late at night). Even the standard hotel breakfast is a notch above (protein, eggs, yogurt, TWO kinds of waffles, various other carb options (cereal, toast, bread, bagels). Free water upon check-in is available at the counter if you need a bottle -- I also happened to have massive back pain and the front desk was able to provide me some emergency ibuprofen free of charge! I have to give an early review. We haven't checked out yet but the experience so far has been super great. So let me set this up. We came into town because of some immediate and unexpected business that came up. So this was a last minute trip, and we've never stayed in Joliet before. All I know about Joliet is from my childhood, so I was curious as to how this would work for us aside from cutting our drive time down a bit. Well I have to say, I am impressed and will likely stay in Joliet again. And...in this vicinity; near Joliet Junior College. There are other places of hospitality in the area along with local eateries and gas...everything truly is right here at your disposal. But!!! when it comes to how the Hampton Inn has served us up...the service has been tremendously welcoming and energizing. We all know that last minute travel for business is no fun. But when I tell you every staff person we encountered has met us with such energy it was like we were being greeted with song, and every shift change had another staff person singing the same song. I can tell you this...during long weeks and unexpected business needs if the hospitality team is going to greet me with songs of energy and welcome, I'm coming back. This location offered complimentary muffins and fresh fruit for breakfast. They even had some bagged up for folks who were hurrying out of the door. On top of that, what I understood was, if I asked for yogurt or boiled eggs they'd provide it. They also offered all day coffee and teas, fresh fruit and individual bottled water and microwave popcorn. Now, because of the pandemic, housekeeping is limited on being in your space during your stay but we were only gonna be in town for two nights, so that was no big deal for us. Besides, everything was fully stocked so there was no need for additional toiletries or towels. I am so glad we stayed here...and I encourage you to do the same. Thanks to Jess, Michelle, Rosalee!! Sooooooo irritating. This place sucks. Charged me $3500 a full two months before I ever stayed a night. Spent 2 hours on the phone trying to get them to refund/cancel unsuccessfully. I am a Hilton Diamond member... what happened to free cancellations within 24 hours of stay? Let alone 2 months before. I show up and this is the oldest/ worst Hampton Inn I've ever seen. By far. I've made several reviews of Hilton affiliated hotels because I stay in them for work and well as my personal travels. I stay in Hampton's more often than not because I find them to usually be decently priced and quite consistent. This location was 139.00 per night which is higher than I usually pay for Hampton's. I arrived 4 hours before check-in and the lady behind the desk was very friendly with allowing me to check in so early. Thank God because it was -18 with the wind chill. My room was what you'd expect from a Hampton; comfy big bed, flat screen tv, desk area, sofa and great wifi reception. The place seems to be an older hotel from another brand that Hampton took over. I'm not sure this is the case just get that feel. There is an indoor heated pool, a workout room and a free hot breakfast in the morning. There were no bananas though. GRRRRR. The staff is really friendly but the price is really too high when compared to other hotels in the area. read more

Pros: Nice pool; a Cracker Barrel and McDonald's are within spittin' distance. Cons: - The maid service did not replace the coffee packets every day--this is a major problem when you travel for business! Sometimes, the ONLY coffee you get comes from the in-room coffee maker. Deduct 2 stars! - The hotel is within a few yards of I-80, so if your room faces the highway, you will hear the traffic all night. Deduct another star! - The night Check-In staff is completely inept. She had me confirmed for 1 night--but I was staying for 4 nights! She had me in a double Queen-bed room--but I confirmed a single King-bed room. Her response: Let's see if you can switch with one of your friends. Deduct another star! - The "free" hot breakfast was decent and the hotel is well maintained. Add 1 star! Decently clean place and friendly staff but they can't keep their outside doors working. I came in the side door 20 minutes ago, it worked fine, went out quickly just now and got locked out -- AGAIN. A dozen times in a week. Pick a hotel that can keep their doors working. Marriot is $90 less a night and right next door. That's where I'll be staying the next 5 times I'm in town this year. Also, timer doesn't work on the waffle machine. If you don't want a cracker, set your own timer. read more

Great Location Amazing Staff! I have stayed here in the past, and these folks continue to surpass my expectations. Prices are excellent. I will start from check in- in the lobby gave us our room key card quick and easy all with all while being incredibly friendly and welcoming (Heather) I felt special from the beginning to the end. Even during Covid, nice lobby with coffee and tea and computers- all free to use for guests- surly can make you feel like you home. The room was great, super clean with most comfortable bed I have ever slept on! and OMG love the pillows!!!:))) bathroom with shower very very clean as well. Reception was very helpful in directing me to local restaurants (Janet). After I came back - we were offered water bottles or soda/snacks so you can take them to the room! I was greeted to A surprise in a gift bag from Nina (hotel manager) Its really like they thought of everything to please your stay! Had to find a place for a friend to stay while they were in town on business and I'm glad I found this place on Yelp. She has two young children who were traveling with her and the pool at this location was just what she needed to keep her sanity while staying here. It is a huge plus for any hotel in this area at this time of year because it is indoor so the cooler weather did not stop their fun. Then bonus time, they all ate to their hearts content at the free breakfast buffet. It was a clean hotel with friendly staff and the rate was very affordable. So there was a festival and every hotel in the entire 30 mile radius was booked. I thought I scored by getting a Hampton but I felt more like it was a Best Western. The location is great, we weren't by the highway so no noise complaints and the McDonalds and sports bar & grill nearby were nice to have. Easy to get to for our cab drivers although they seemed a lot more familiar with the I-55 location. Beds were pretty comfy with good pillows. AC/ heat worked great. Shower had a really nice showerhead & good pressure. Cons - Maid service seemed to just make the bed and replace towels. It's an outdoor festival and it's been raining for 3 days. I think sheets changed and vacumning is a must. We had stained sheets the first night and were mildly grossed out but figured they would be changed so didn't do anything. Crawling into bed at 4am the next day we were greeted by our friendly bed-stains! Tried to find a maid the next day as we were leaving and then found the front desk was empty as well so we cuddled up with Mr & Mrs. Stains on night 3 as well. - Key cards took about 10-12 tries to get to work at all times. At night the lobby is locked and entry is by key card. I waited out the swiping action by sitting on the luggage cart because it took so long. Again, we thought about asking for new cards but when we went down the next morning there was a line at check-in and only one person behind the counter. (By morning I mean 1pm and we were actually dying of starvation so we had to get to the car to locate fooooood.) - I think I wanted to feel more catered to since 90% of the hotel was festival guests. Breakfast from 7-10am? We just got back at 4-5am, could that be moved later to accomodate 90% of your guests? We asked about a hotel shuttle and was given a curt "No shuttle!" and then as we walked away, found guys sitting in their lobby who were guests there and had come especially to run a shuttle serivce. Did they not tell hotel staff that? Perhaps. But they were right there in front of the staff's noses and were obviously picking people up and dropping them off. No late check-out was available on Monday because of Memorial Day but that was not communicated until Monday morning. Again, late hours of the festival would mean we have been asleep for about 5 hours so late checkouts were going to be asked for. Anticipate this and advise accordingly. Okay it's the first year this festival took over Joliet so there are going to be learning curves but we had friends at other hotels and they adapted pretty quickly. I would recommend this place for old people going to a wedding and who don't drink or need a shuttle and who get up at 6am regularly. Festival-goers=no. read more

In October 2012 I blocked rooms here for my guests to stay for my wedding that was being held at the Patrick Haley Mansion up I-80. Karen Young was wonderful to work with from start to finish! When we were at the PHM for one of our wedding planning appointments, we called ahead to see if we can tour the hotels (Karen also works with the TownePlace Suites across the parking lot) and speak more on the room blocks. Karen showed us both hotels and was so friendly to work with! The rooms at the Hampton are really wonderful. Very modern, clean, smells great (no musty mildew smell you sometimes in hotels), super comfortable beds! The rooms were a perfect size, no complaints there. I took a bath the day before my wedding with no problems. I was worried that with my bridesmaids, family, and hair & makeup team using my room the morning of, but we fit in just fine! Pleasantly surprised about that! We were on the parking lot side, so no complaints about highway noise for me. The breakfast each morning was perfect. They had just enough to keep everyone satisfied and happy. The woman who works the breakfast bar is adorable, too. We had one fluke with one of the girls who works the front desk. We asked if they could display a sign letting our guests know that we had a shuttle service to take them to and from our venue the day before, but the day of no sign was to be found. The other girl working the desk had no note about one but was extremely helpful and made one quickly to display! Awesome customer service and easy to work with employees for a block of rooms. We booked late as we were driving long distance and weren't sure how far we'd get. The reviews on the Hampton Inn off 180 in Joliet helped up pick a spot for the night and we were not disappointed. The clerk who we made the reservation with us over the phone was really helpful in giving us tips for where to park our moving truck. When we arrived, the woman at the front desk was so pleasant and seeing our disheveled travel state, she bagged up water bottles for us to take up to the room. The room was clean, had lots of plugs for charging phones and computers and the beds and pillows were really comfortable. The same clerk was still on duty in the morning and she couldn't have been any nicer at 6 am. She made sure that my husband, myself and our 2 daughters had hot coffee and plenty of food before we hit the road. Thank you! read more

My husband was here for work, working 11hr shifts an the morning breakfast ladies were accommodating to him an his co workers, letting them eat breakfast around 5-5:30am. I really appreciated that. Indoor heated pool, clean rooms and bathrooms. always fresh fruit an coffee, tea is also an option. small gym. great housekeeping. they do a really good job not repeating breakfast items (here everyday for 2 weeks) 6 to 10pm. can do laundry close by. free WiFi sucks, if your gonna be here for awhile, just pay for it. read more

My grandsons gold chain was stolen from the pool area and management said it was out of their hands. The hot tub was over capacity. This is a very good hotel. The rooms were very nice and didnt have that weird hotel smell. It was a much better smelling place. The rooms were clean and were very nicely decorated. They left cute little rubbed duckies and some chocolates for our room. The workers were very nice and generous! We asked them for a couple of things at the front and they were super nice about everything. We also had to ask for a bed that folds up and one of the workers came in and offered go help us put it up. I would definatly recommend this place read more

Rooms are clean and the continental breakfast is good. If you can get a room on the north it will be quieter since the south rooms have the I-80 noise. What makes this place special are the people that work there. Mercedes and Jesus are absolutely the best and take time to get to know the guests and do everything in their power to make our stay better. We were in town due to unforeseen circumstances and they were everything you could hope for in customer service. We had a rough night and they baked some fresh cookies for us, which made our day a little brighter. read more

My husband and I stayed here Feb. 23. As usual, it was clean and the staff was friendly and welcoming. As we walked in, I commented to my husband that, since there weren't many cars in the lot, there weren't many guests. And, so the staff didn't make any cookies. Half hour later there was a knock on our room door. We opened to find Mercedes, the lady from the front desk, with a bag of cookies. She'd heard my comment and made some!!, what a treat. The next morning, when we were ten miles down the road, I remembered I'd forgotten my pillow. Back we went to the hotel. Regina, who was at the front desk, ran up to the room and got it!! The hotel was just recently renovated and all have a "heavenly" fluffy bed type so guests will rest well after a long night of partying. There were a million of these type of hotels in the area because the casino is one of the major attractions in Joliet. After spending a night and "testing" the hotel out, we felt very comfortable in going with this one, only 8 minutes away from the venue. We ran a shuttle (booked separately ) to and from the venue on the wedding day. . The hotel is very clean although they do not offer any suites. That would be the only mentionable item. A full hot breakfast was available for guests as well in the morning. The hotel staff was ALWAYS extremely friendly when we had to call and check on room blocks and do rearranging, etc.. They were also kind enough to hand out welcome bags for all 30 rooms without a charge. Note you get one comp room with the wedding block. We didn't stay there, but I gave my comp to a friend. read more

Concierge was very friendly at both check out and check in. Cleaning crew greeted us with a smile and hello in the hall and the breakfast staff member was an older women who had a cart of chocolate dipped strawberries and cookies, she had a very personal charm and was so sweet. We had treats left for us from the maid and they had towel animals in the bathroom and pool area which was cute along with fun floatation toys and beach balls. BUT our room was not really that clean, all things noticed were before we settled in or used anything. I personally had to wipe off something white from the head board near the pillows (I should've just asked to switch rooms at that point). The tv stand had spilt coffee on it and there were hairs on the bed several log ones and a few in the bath and bathroom. They may have been from the maid but some looked like they didn't come from the head if you get my drift. It made for an uncomfortable nights rest. Very mixed feelings about this place! read more
