Avoid This Hotel If I could give this hotel zero stars, I would. I booked a room with one king bed and a pull-out sofa, but when I checked in, I was given a room with only a king bed. When I called the front desk, instead of trying to fix their mistake, I was told I was wrong. There was no apology, no attempt to verify my reservation, and no effort to make things right. I was traveling with my wife and our two toddlers. Because the room didn't have the sleeping arrangements I reserved, my wife and children had to share the king bed while I slept on the floor. When I asked if they could provide a rollaway bed or any reasonable accommodation, I was told they would charge me even more for something that should never have been necessary. The night staff was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. When I asked for the manager's information, the employee refused to provide it and wouldn't even tell me his own name. That's not customer service--it's avoiding accountability. The only employee who treated us with respect was James the next morning. He listened, apologized, and provided the manager's contact information. Unfortunately, despite leaving my information, the manager has never bothered to return my call. To make matters even worse, I was charged more than the price I originally booked the room for, with no clear explanation. This hotel failed at the basics: honoring a reservation, treating guests with respect, resolving a problem they created, and following up afterward. Families should think twice before staying here because if something goes wrong, don't expect anyone to take responsibility. I will never stay at this Hampton by Hilton again, and I strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you expect professionalism, honesty, or even basic customer service. read more

It was a pretty nice hotel. Not your 5 stars bougie hotel, but rather a comfortable place to stay for a couple days. It still seems quite new here. And most people come for its convenience since it's closer to the freeway. Free breakfast from 6am to 10am. It's self service. Plenty of coffee, bagels, muffins, etc. The scramble eggs, sausages, potatoes are all places in a buffet style service metal container with a cover to stay hot. I was content. But it gets crowded. Unfortunately, some people don't clean their own mess. The rooms are nice. Well lit if necessary, with a lot of light switches. But I wish there were more electrical outlets or USB plug ports. Oh well. The bed was still good. I wasn't concave in the center, nor was I spilling out from the sides. Probably because they're still rather new. It actually felt better than other hotel beds. It didn't affect my back. Lol. The bathroom, hmmm, I think needed a better cleaning. The shower and tub wasn't the cleanest. We actually had to request a different room prior, because there was still hair around the drains. I was quite grossed out. The front desk people are very nice. Very professional and ready to help if needed. Overall, a decent experience without high expectations. Yes, I would come back. A strong 3 stars hotel. Nothing less. read more

My daughter got married this past Sunday and many of our wedding guests stayed at this hotel including me! We had the "Glam Squad" coming so I reserved the 1bed 1bath King Suite and it was PERFECT! From my daughter working with the team on room blocks to a few reservation fumbles and many early check-in's, this team hustled hard and I appreciated every bit of it. The room was so large and really nicely decorated (the entire hotel was recently renovated) so much so that we weren't sure we ever wanted to leave. There was a large counter space where I was able to lay out all of the snacks for the ladies to munch on while they were getting their hair and makeup done and plenty of room for the photographer to take those special moment photos. There's absolutely no way we could've done this in a smaller room so I'm so grateful we had the option. A special shout out to Rayanne who welcomed our family and friends at check-in much earlier than anticipated. She was fantastic!! Not to overshadow the rest of the team who was just as wonderful. A few misses for me was that the air conditioning vent in the bedroom, faced directly at the head of the bed so I had to sleep with a T-shirt over my face because the air was blowing so hard and cold but it was too warm to turn the AC off. The morning breakfast offered eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, cereal, toast, and bagels muffins, oatmeal, and juices. Everyone loved the waffles!! However the eggs were pretty salty, but I think that came from the cheese that was inside. I loved all the different juice options especially the watermelon water. This hotel offers spa water as well when you walk in and in the morning, they have coffee with real creamer, not the powdered stuff! Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures because the two days that we stayed were jam packed, but we did get some beautiful photos of my daughter in the room looking out the window that I will cherish forever! read more

Took a last minute trip to Morgan Hill on NYE and chose to stay at this Hampton for one night. I did not regret my choice one bit! This hotel is strait forward located near the freeway in the outskirts of San Jose, I tend to stay loyal to Hilton because of the consistency, and this location was up to par. The hotel was clean, staff was beyond helpful at both check in and check out. Very friendly, welcoming and accommodating of our late check in and check out. The room felt modern and spacious but most importantly, it was very clean. The beds are also worth mentioning because they were so comfy. It was hard waking up. I tend to be pretty picky with hotels but despite my critic nature I didn't find any faults here. Maybe a small complaint with breakfast? This Hampton Inn offers your general continental spread, bagels, cereal, fruit, cold eggs, yogurt. Nothing special, but again, I didn't come here for breakfast so this is not at all a deal breaker. I grabbed a piece of fruit to hold me over for the road and had brunch in the city after. Overall, I give this Hampton Inn a 10/10. Solid choice for the area. read more

Has such a wonderful stay at Hampton Inn! I needed to stay somewhere close to the freeway and within a close distance from Morgan Hill, and let me tell you - I did the research. This was the best hotel for what I was looking for: a comfortable space (room was pretty big with a comfortable bed, a couch that can be converted to another bed, a desk, a tv, amenities like a microwave and refrigerator), they allowed dogs (no breed restrictions!!) and the pet fee was $75, and a DELICIOUS full breakfast that was free, and friendly staff. This was it. Not to mention, there was lots of green and lawn around the hotel so no problem taking my dog out, and separately, the manager on duty, Sam Chamberlain, was extremely helpful. We encountered some booking and billing issues and he helped me out seamlessly with great hospitality. Needless to say, we had a fabulous stay at the Hampton Inn and will DEFINITELY be back! No reason to give less than 5 stars because our stay provided us with more than I expected. read more

The Morgan Hill Hampton Inn is probably my favorite Hampton Inn - and I have stayed at many different ones, in California and on the east coast. It is beautifully decorated, clean and super quiet. I always check in the afternoon, and the afternoon manager is wonderful. She is efficient and professional, but also warm and friendly. After I had checked out, I realized that I needed gas. I didn't know the area, didn't have enough gas to make a wrong turn, and I was on a tight schedule. The afternoon manager saved me. She told me about the two options for gas in the area, and explained how to find them in detail so I wouldn't end up wandering around, lost. She was patient, cheerful and understanding. The Morgan Hill Hampton Inn itself is a lovely, well maintained property, but the afternoon manager's kindness and interest in my well being took it to the next level! read more

Was in town for a wedding and had a fairly good stay. The room we got seemed newly renovated compared to the other pictures on Yelp. I liked the little touches like the folded animal towels on the sheets. The room does include a small mini fridge and microwave. The only downside is the noise of the hallway is quite loud as you are constantly hearing doors slam and people chatting in the hallway. The daily breakfast from 6-10am was pretty good and always clean, there was always a nice lady checking in the cafe area and wiping things down every few minutes. The hotel and all was nice. To my surprise I get a fee saying we had a pet in the hotel and that there was pet feces left inside. I talked to the hotel manager but he insist we had a pet yet he only had one picture of something that look like feces in some room. How do I even know it was from the tool I stayed at? and we got a $280 charge for this. We do NOT own pets of any kind and have never owned any so I am just so Disappointed on how they handled the Situation. Manager keeps insisting but one picture does not prove that was in our room or how that even got there is a mystery. Very frustrated and I am definitely not recommending this hotel to anyone. I needed a place to escape my neighborhood's crazy fireworks and landed in a place where people flock to see the city's display...my son and I enjoyed the bench just outside the hotel to see everything trouble free. Sam was on duty for the crazy parking situation because of the fireworks and was so helpful and generous. As a single gal I appreciated the welcome and texts to make sure everything was good. The room was fine, a little worn here and there, comfy king bed and nice set up with a couch and desk. Bottom floor was a little noisy, heard loud engines and loud neighbors. I would return for next year's escape/festivities..oh and they had free rootbeer floats from 8 to 10 pm for the 4th...nice touch! read more

This hotel is under renovation. They were repairing a lot of stuff the pool area closed they were painting the fence. Our room on the 2nd floor was noisy during the day from banging or hammering. We had a standing room balcony a fireplace in the room. Fridge and microwave. Room were standard and clean except the bottom sheet on the bed came off on the corners. The pillow were small like standard instead of king size. Room had 2 chairs which was nice. The breakfast was good western omelette sausage and potatoes. The front desk people were nice. Some of the food items like the danish and milk was empty they didn't refill them and I did see the people who work there to ask them. Everything is looking good. read more

This response by the hotel is an excellent example of poor customer service. Instead of acknowledging that the mistake with the wrong room keys happened and making efforts to ensure that wrong room keys are not given out again for future guests, the hotel has chosen to deny and gaslight the guest. Even the front desk person Michelle admitted that she made a mistake in giving me the wrong keys. However, the supervisor Anthony Matz denied the fact that I did open the door of someone else's room and spoke to them (and they were in shock that I had opened their room). There were multiple witnesses including the two men who were in the room and Michelle the front desk person who at that point was coming back to tell me that she gave me the wrong keys. I can completely understand that the hotel was busy and that mistakes happen (the front desk claimed that there were 30 guests checking in that day... which in my books isn't a lot for a hotel of that size). I am happy to forgive them for the mistake. However, to deny that the mistake happened, call the guest a lier and dismiss their feedback all together is unconscionable customer service. I even overlooked the many other issues with the hotel and only called out the part that should be considered very serious if not fixed for future guests. Furthermore, at the front desk, you will see the poster for 100% Hampton guarantee. This may be the Hampton brand but this hotel is certainly not living out the brand values as it would rather deny, deflect and gaslight their guests as you clearly see here. read more

Mia the manager was super rude on the phone, we were super sick and asked for cancellation exception. She was not understanding, no sympathy and super aggressive on the cancellation policy like she owned Hilton company . When I asked her name she was very defensive and hung up on me. Sad to say I am Hiltons honors to get this type of customer service. I have 3 other stays with them that I canceled, this is how you lose customers and non returning costumers. The overall stay was good, except the food they serve is either undercooked or over cooked and this was consistent for the 3 days we stayed. Upon getting home we received a debit from our credit card of $250 indicating we smoked in our room. Let me be clear, we travel frequently and always respect non-smoking rules. We tried to get it resolved but to no avail. My husband left two empty packs of cigarettes and a couple of butts in the trash can in our room and they are stating it stunk up the room enough that it had to be cleaned. We are very respectful people; we don't allow smoking in our car or home. I am appalled by this to say the least. read more

The front desk and staff seems tired of responding to the questions about it. They have removed the jacuzzi specific amenity from the listings but a visual is a visual so they will continue to get bugged if its in photos. Its a small pool photographed to make it look way nicer. Its adequate for low Traffic times. Broken jacuzzi. I feel like that's something you should note on your description page. Especially if its been broken for 6+ months. Its ok to not have one, just dont let people think you have one if you dont. We travel with sports and rely on hotels with a jacuzzi. Poor form to bait and switch with the online photos and no description to explain the situation. Everything in our room seems clean. Hallways are light and welcoming. Freeway is not noisy. Theres a little Ag river waterway that kids get excited about. Thats not worth giving an overall terrible star because I hate yelpers. I enjoy information more though, and knowing what Im getting. This hotel is located off the 101 freeway. I checked in on a Friday night and found ample parking. When I entered, there was signage stating upgrades were being completed on the property. I was also greeted immediately and was told about the construction. My room was very clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and there was a microwave and refrigerator. The breakfast area was clean and well cared for. I did have an issue, which the front desk addressed immediately and professionally. Overall a great experience. read more

The Hilton Hampton Inn, is a great place... super happy camper here... Marriott, not so much... I am both a Hilton Gold Elite and Marriott Platinum Elite status. I needed to be in Morgan Hill for the day for car repairs and not being from the area, I needed a place to stay during the day to catch a nap and get some work done. I reached out first to Marriott Courtyard... and it was a nightmare from the start... nobody at the front desk picked up. Finally got through and the front desk person, didn't understand what I was talking about. They transferred me to the manager... but I was disconnected (of course)... I called back, no answer... again... no answer.... again, got the same clerk who again transferred me to the manager but it went to VM... I couldn't even speak to someone who understood my question. What kind of service is this? I mean, I have 30 nights this year and 415,000 points in my register... it's not like I need a room to do a dope deal yeah? I called the general reservation line and Marriott's response was "we don't have day rates".. Ok, I'm not asking for any discount or a "day rate", just a regular room rate with an extra-early check in... sorry sir, "we don't do that".. like what I'm going to have a party here or something? Sooooo, I called the Hampton Inn and not only was I warmly greeted, when I asked my question, the response was, "let me see if we have availability for an early check-in"... why yes sir, this will not be a problem... Sooooo, here I am in my nice comfortable room at the Hampton Inn.... Check in was a breeze, my room is great and what a refreshing attitude here! Okay - First of all let me say the staff is amazing... it's what they have done to this hotel that went downhill. I have used this hotel for years when family would visit, or now that I have moved out of town it has been my go-to when I visit. Not the last THREE visits. I worked in hospitality many years ago and understand certain things regarding renovations etc. However.... what the hell. The rooms are not functioning rooms. When your neighbor's door closes it sounds like an earthquake in your room (very startling all through the night). I couldn't find a garbage can in the room - found a small one in the bathroom. Also, you get a TINY fridge on the floor next to the toilet room. Apparently they are supposed to be under the TV? Oh can't forget the TV issue. It's a rotating channel guide now. So you have to click 10-1 to get to the start and before you have enough time to pick a channel it changes to the next screen of channels... and no you cannot just plug in 10-1 to go back... you have to wait through the whole damn cycle. No streaming service available so don't plan on catching up on your netflix shows either. Seriously.... What is going on with this hotel. I will never book again nor recommend this place. There is a hotel down the street, renovated, functioning, also dog friendly with NO pet fee's. I'd recommend the Residence Inn (I stayed there for a week) or the La Quinta - fully renovated. Do not stay here, not worth the money. AND the highway is loud. Beds have springs, shower head is so old it shoots water in all kinds of directions. Again - the front desk is wonderful and I feel sorry for how many complaints they are getting. Lastly, I am a Hilton Honors member and I booked the King Suite with balcony and fire place... There was a women in front of me who had an issue with the room and the way it smelled (there is always a very slight and very pleasant order left behind form a cleaning product) Anthony, the desk clerk checked out several rooms looking for one with "less smell". This place was amazing! We came in last night a few days before I was having issues booking a room online through a third-party which was a total nightmare and very time-consuming. Came in last night. Not only did I get a room that was clean and it was just recently updated. Lauren made my stay pleasant visit. The place is very accommodating with coffee 24 hours. The pool was heated, and the hot tub was nice. I had to leave the same evening unexpected and I was totally looking forward to their breakfast which people raved about. Hanah checked me out, and she was pleasant as well. Just nice going to a hotel room where they had more than enough towels. Most places you always have to ask for it or they charge you for extra towels. The bed was very comfortable and so are the pillows. Plenty of parking, close to local restaurants. Our room was incredibly clean, quiet, spacious and had everything we needed for an easy in and out. Tons of free parking. Easy on/off from freeway and great coffee in the lobby. I talked with Executive Ambassador Tara Luton over the phone for about 45 minutes about my traumatic experience(not the overdose or my boyfriend dying) , but the way our situation was handled by the hotel manager and how he treated me as if I wasn't even worth the time to come out and explain anything to me or my sister. The Hilton Customer Relations employee took the unempathetic manager's side. I know why they treated me and my bfs belongings that way. I just want to update the community that I am fighting for overdose awareness and to end the drug addiction stigma. With hotels, I will fight to make sure they carry narcan locked at the front desk. Btw to anyone wondering not that it matters, I wasn't a user of fentanyl and had no idea my boyfriend had it when we booked into the hotel. I choose to have empathy even though I have now developed PTSD from this experience and how the hotel treated me for 3 weeks after the tragedy. My goal in life is to care about people and help educate others to break the stigma so people can be helped and treated like they matter despite struggling with a mental disease like addiction. It comes down to science and biology. Addiction does not discriminate, if there's a wedding party, you'd be surprised how often people have a variety of drugs at the hotel. Since I know corporate companies like this don't have the empathy in their business plans to care about people in the lower economic class, then I will make it one of my long-term goals to change how the world sees people with any mental illnesses or diseases. I also 100% believe that karma is real and it will reach to those people who treat others badly, it will get you one day and you'll be wondering why this happened to you, and most of the time you will not be able to even understand how it's connected. Humans are social creatures, we need that connection and you will see how in your future you will fall into this deep hole of anguish due to not having empathy and understanding for others. This doesn't apply to the employees who did see my pain and did try to help me how they could. The ones who know, know. I will continue to get my foot into getting a way to carry narcan at hotels all across the United States. With this, it is my way of dealing with my trauma and my pain. I choose to stay empathetic and try to help for any similar future circumstances. read more

My family stayed at Hampton Inn, Morgan Hill for a soccer tournament at the nearby Outdoor Sports Center. We received a group room rate for our whole team and I asked for 2 adjoining rooms to fit my family. We arrived late and I was glad that our conjoined rooms were already set aside just for us. At other hotels, if we don't arrive early our rooms are sometimes given away to others and we end up with non-adjoining rooms. We were promptly processed and provided an overview of the amenities. They had easy non-paid parking. Their pool was clean. They had ample room to hang out and chat. The best part of the hotel was the warm breakfast with fruit, waffles, sausage, eggs, juices, oatmeal, and more! Their beds were comfortable and the rooms were cleaned daily. There was someone at the front desk 24x7. The only part I can think of that could have been better are the fans; they were not powerful enough to suck out the fog and we had to eat in between our showers. If we are in the area again, we will plan on staying here for the good price and great value. read more

Stayed one night for a bowling tournament (June 2021). The bowling alley is down the road and easy to get To. The hotel is nicely located off then highway, quiet and easy go get to. The hotel was clean and has a nice lobby with plenty of seating. Check in was smooth and Staff was friendly. They have a little store next to reception with drinks and snacks. Ice machines are not easily visible. They are in the stairway. Breakfast was grab and go. Included a breakfast sandwich or hard boiled egg (your choice), fruit, yogurt and a bagel and cream cheese. Cons: Only one thing to note -- had a hard time with the bathroom toilet, as it did not seem to flush very well, even with holding down the lever. Picked this hotel in Morgan hill based on the stars and pictures of the "nice" pool etc.. for starters the pool was disgusting! Not clean at all! All my son wanted to do was swim and we only lasted about 30 min in there because it was just so filthy. The hot tub was out of service with used water bottles/trash floating on ton of the filthy hot tub cover. The hotel website stated the hot tub would be open on our second night of our stay, that was absolutely not the case. The room was ok, beds comfortable enough. The bath tub had hair in it. Gross. There was no conditioner in the shower. The outlets near the bed were not working. There was smudge all over our slider glass door, not cleaned at all. There was no one at the front desk when I arrived. When the young guy finally came out to check me in, he seemed annoyed by my presence and didn't give me any information at all. Very unprofessional. Later on, we had run-in with another curt, disgruntled front desk worker. On the other hand, I did have a very positive interaction with someone from the cleaning service. This place feels brand new and super clean. I just want to thank the cleaners who clean the rooms because the showers were amazing. I have the same window showers at home and it does take a while to clean that to be perfect lol all in all I enjoyed my room. We had a fire place with a timer on it (60 min) and you can keep turning it off or on. A balcony that gave me Spanish vibes. Out view was the freeway intersection but I don't mind that I thought it was nice seeing 101 freeway. The ceiling was very high which made us feel roomy. The bed was huge and amazing. Potential but HUGE let down!! Super sketchy prostitutes and drugs. Do not bring your family here. I wiped down the room bc covid and it was fairly clean in all visible places but still not nice. Banging and yelling all night until 2:30am. Then started again at 4. Sketchy people in and out all night. Pool was ok. But not clean like they promised during our block. Food and water bottles on the floor. My husband wanted breakfast before work and went to the front at 6:30 even knocked on the door and no one there. Breakfast is supposed to be available 6-9am for grab and go. So no breakfast. So disappointed. We were staying as a family and I had to leave with the kids. Hubby had no choice to stay so he did. I didn't feel safe at all. And once I saw reviews I was so disappointed. Homeless people wander in. Close to the hwy. if u sleep with noise and need that location try it. This is MY PERSONAL YELP ACCOUNT. I AM VOICING MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE! This is not a duplicate! Zero stars for this hotel. Read all the reviews about their lack of customer service at the front desk. They are all true. There was never anyone at the front desk unless you stood directly in front of the front desk in the reception area. This creates a dangerous situation for hotel guests as anyone can enter the hotel (like transients that were mention in one of the reviews). There was only one man in the evening whose name is mentioned in another complaint years ago. And then there's a woman there in the daytime who's attitude towards guests has also been complained about. Another suggestion for anybody considering possibly making reservations within this outdated, depressing hotel is to go check out the rooms before you make a reservation. You'll find more modern, nicer accommodations in many of the hotels in the surrounding area. I have my own PERSONAL YELP account, and I know that the manager of the hotel or whatever he is for the hotel, because I never saw him based on his Yelp photo, has tried to keep me from posting this review, but I believe YELP is all about being able to express one's own PERSONAL EXPERIENCE! And THIS IS MY OWN PERSONAL YELP ACCOUNT. So for him to say it's a duplicate is his way of trying to hide the truth. You can notice his behavior by reading his responses to all the complaints for the past several years. Why would I want to go back to his outdated unfriendly and unprofessional hotel? My experience with his front desk clerk (woman) was that the woman's behavior was at the end vindictive. After I complained about something in the room, this woman became very defensive and unprofessional. I noticed her talking to the breakfast room worker as I was walking towards the breakfast room for breakfast. When I asked the breakfast room worker about something regarding the breakfast, she was dismissive and rude to me. WOW!! I don't understand why after five years of complaints, things seem to be the same. Perhaps there's some nepotism going on in this hotel which is why the situation never changes. Who knows, I don't care, Their behavior will end up breaking this hotel. And then the manager, or whatever he is, won't have a job which appears to be making excuses for his employees disrespectful behavior and lack of customer service. read more
