Nice place to stay for the weekend, especially when attending events at Levi's Stadium. Everything is close in proximity, especially the nearby Milpitas Square. One stop shopping for all things Asian. There's Ranch 99 and Mayflower Seafood Restaurant if you're craving dim sum or fresh seafood. We used to have Mayflower in SF. Anyway, our suite was clean and doable with separate bedroom and living area, two TV's, and a decent kitchen. We're quite fond of Staybridge Suites for all its amenities, always impressed with the layout and ample free parking. Our son enjoyed the free hot breakfast and outdoor swimming pool and hot tub. What kid doesn't like staying at a hotel? Minus one star for the clueless front desk encounter. The young lady had "deer-in-the-headlights" look every time I asked her a question about transportation i.e., Uber, VTA light rail, taxi, etc. She picked up the phone as if she was dialing a cab company, but everything about it was phony. Another staff member stood right next her without offering any assistance; it was quite bizarre. Was it shift change, weekend staff, what was going on? We ended up driving to Levi's Stadium instead...ain't nobody got time for that! read more

My friend and I booked rooms in June for the Super Bowl at the Government rate. Prior to booking the rooms, I contacted the hotel and asked what was required. I was informed a CAC card so I booked two rooms. In January I received an email requesting orders for my stay. I contacted the hotel and was told that we needed orders by a manager. I informed her that we were informed that all we needed was CAC card. She said she would contact her Corporate office and contact me the following Monday. I received an email from the marketing manager stating the same. The email stated that if we couldn't provide orders, we would have to pay an extremely higher price (price gouging)! I decided to cancel the reservations because too much time and effort was being invested. After canceling the reservations, we booked with another IHG property that was still a whole lot less than what was presented to me as a concession. For the heck of it, I looked at the hotel to see how much prices had increased. Lo and behold, it was less! I guess their plan didn't work out. See photos! We were forced out because supposedly, corporate changed their policy because of the EVENT and we were forced out. During this ordeal and while waiting on a response, I contacted the front desk again and asked a different clerk about the policy and was informed the same as previously. Maybe the staff needs to be trained as policies change! Still trying to understand how corporate changes only affect one business for an event even though there are several in the same area. Stayed one day (weekend) at the Staybridge Suites SILICON VALLEY-MILPITAS. It is an ok hotel, but don't expect more.. breakfast (7:30-10:00) is mediocre. Items were substandard, not even a decent coffee area without regular milk. Plastic container & cheap plastic, tiny spoon & forks. What a joke with that kind of $$$ expensive daily charge. This hotel is actually very clean & well equipped. It smells of fresh linen and they keep it up very nicely and it looks very up to date. Their hot breakfast buffet in the morning is actually quite nice. They have a different options for everyone. They're also pet friendly (for an extra fee of $75) which is steep but it's still nice that it's an option. Would definitely stay here again. Sad we didn't get to try the pool this tile around. My only gripe is the taxed pet fee of 75- bringing it to $88. Really?? read more

I have stayed in this Staybridge for about 4 months of my life. Now that my time there has come to an end, I think that it deserves a review from me. I really enjoyed staying here to the point where I referred to this place as "home" on a regular basis. That might have to do with the fact that it WAS home for me for a while, but that is beside the point. The staff there actually try to make it feel like home for you. They are fantastic. They learn your name, answer your questions ranging from the closest pubic tennis courts to good Italian restaurants in the area to where the closest Jiffy Lube is. The rooms are comfortable, which is REALLY important when you are staying there for a really long period of time. Since it's an extended stay hotel, every room has a kitchen. If you have anything other than a studio, you also have a living room with a comfy pull-out couch. That came in handy when my sister came to visit for a week! There is a work desk and free wi-fi which is of decent quality. And if you need to print something, there is a business center downstairs. The beds are comfy and the rooms are clean. The cleaning crew do a pretty good job although they don't really speak English. Little requests like "don't run the dishwasher, I'll do it myself" didn't really work out too well. Other than that, they did a good job. Breakfast is served every morning and it's a good breakfast. Granted, when you eat it every single day, for months, it can get a bit old. There is only so much eggs, bacon, sausage, tater tots, waffles, bagels, muffins, cereal, fruit and yogurt a person can handle. Patty, the woman who runs the breakfast show is fantastic. She remembers what you like, and if it's not out that day, or if they have run out, she will go and find it for you. But the great thing is that they also serve dinner! They don't actually call it dinner - I think they call it "appetizers" or something. But it's dinner and it's served every weekday except for Fridays. It's not great but decent enough. And it's included, which makes all the difference. They serve anything from spaghetti with meat balls to chicken nuggets to burritos. You can usually make yourself a salad with it or have fries. The garlic bread is pretty good. And having it with the wine or beer that is served makes it that much better. There is a pool and fitness center, which no one ever uses. Oh, and there is a jacuzzi which is available for your sittage 24 hours a day. So take a bottle of wine down there and just sit and relax and listen to that wonderful Milpitas traffic go by. Parking is not a problem and they have an underground garage too. This Staybridge is really geared towards traveling engineers. I mean, they feed you, wire you and work you out. What else is in an engineers life? Although the hotel isn't as brand new as it once was, it really is a well oiled machine and I really enjoyed my time there. I'm kind of sad that I'm not there anymore. Then again, I'm thrilled not to be in Milpitas anymore. A great big "thank you" to the staff who made my Milpitas bearable. read more

"Home away from Home.." My family stayed here for 2 nights and I must say the hotel was very impressive. From the very welcoming and festive hotel lounge, luxurious bedsheets, clean rooms, spacious living rooms with flat cable tv's , fully equipped kitchen, fitness room, pool outside. I could go on and on...worth mentioning the free hot delicious breakfast and very accommodating and friendly desk personnels especially Racquel. Our experience was awesome. I got lucky in getting a room here at the very last minute when I was booked at the hotel across the street and it turned out to be unacceptable. All the staff were lovely- including the front-desk, maintenance, and dining room attendants. The room was fine- had a separate sleeping, cooking and eating areas, in addition to a couch. Air conditioning worked well, and it had nice windows. The best thing about this hotel is the ammenties- as a budget-rate business hotel, I didn't expect to receive everything that comes included in the rate: -Free nightly reception with beer/wine and light appetizers -Free breakfast (with a great selection of hot and cold items) -Hot tub and pool -Free laundry -Free wireless access -Free parking I wish I could've stayed longer. read more

Lily and all her staff made my parents 50th anniversary memorable. Their service was impeccable and their personalities were a delight. The hotel was beautiful the rooms were amazing and the pool area was fun and inviting for all of us. Out of 26 of us 10 being kids all of us would stay there again in a heartbeat I recommend it to anybody who is in this area they are fabulous. A solid 3 stars. And I would stay again, as it serves my purpose perfectly. But... This is an extended stay hotel, which means that the rooms are all setup with little kitchenettes, there is laundry, a workout room, etc. It is supposed to be made for people staying a long period, perhaps weeks or months. They have breakfast every morning and a complementary dinner with beer/wine on Monday through Thursday nights. The staff is very friendly and capable. The food they server is OK. Let's face it...for complementary, it is pretty good, but if it were a restaurant, not sure I would go there. The free beer and wine more than makes up for it. I was in SJC with the sole purpose of taking the CCIE exam. This hotel was on the list from Cisco, and I got a discount by going through the CCIE website to book the room. The cost ended up being about 110 per night, which was more than reasonable for SJC. Its close proximity to building C at Cisco also sealed the deal. During my time there, I flew in to SJC, ate dinner at the hotel, ate breakfast at the hotel, ate lunch at Cisco, ate dinner at the hotel, ate breakfast the next morning at the hotel, then flew home. Didn't pay for a meal my entire trip. That made it really nice. What others have said about the wireless service. Painfully slow. This is SJC, they should be able to get some pipes into the buildings. When I was doing speedtests, it looks like they are rate limiting at .31Mbit/s. Most hotels rate limit at 1Mbit/sec. I understand the need to rate limit, but .31 isn't enough to do any kind of streaming at all, VPNs back to the office were nearly impossible, and there was no way I was using my Cisco soft phone to make a call. I have run into this issue in other cities, so I would normally just tether my phone and use the 3G...but this is SJC, and 3G coverage for AT&T sucks down here. My phone was no better. What others have said about the TV is true. This is about the same TV I had in college...circa 1987. Not kidding. Same size and everything. Oh, well, it came with a DVD player. And hey, I could always stream a movie to my laptop...oh, wait... So for a short stay (a couple of nights) while doing business, this hotel will work just fine. However, if I had to stay there for multiple weeks, I would be going crazy with the wifi and the TV. That is the only reason I knock it from four to three stars. For an extended stay, I should have extended comfort, and slow wifi and a tube TV is not that. read more

It's ok, I think the rates could be increased for minor things like ....useable Internet! Seriously there is no Internet service that is worth your time here. Also my room was non smoking but smelled of smoke transferred to another room and could still smell smoke but not as bad. The A/C in my room was also lacking but Did have a south facing room and I am from Seattle so 45 is nice weather! And the tv is interesting haven't seen that style for a while! It's a nice place but 3 star for the lack of Internet, the blanket on my bed looked like it was 20 years old. You guys have a good deal here but I don't mind another 10 bucks a night to have some refreshing to the old stuff in the rooms. And high speed Internet! read more

I give Staybridge Suites in Milpitas, Ca. a five star rating for our stay in Friday, July 21st. I called the hotel for an early check-in, since I arrived in town earlier then I anticipated, since I was attending an event early that evening. The staff at the front desk that checked me in were courteous, helpful, & accommodating. We were assigned a 2 room junior suite, with a kitchen, dishes, and a full refrigerator. The room was clean & spacious. The morning breakfast had a great variety of food from eggs, potatoes, waffles, oatmeal, bagels, fresh cut fruit & Wolf Gang Puck coffee. We didn't have time to use the Gym, pool or jacuzzi. I plan to stay there again for my next visit to Milpitas & I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great value in a Silicon Valley area hotel. read more

Terrible customer service! I booked a room for my son and was told that the deposit would be covered with my CC information. When he arrived was told he had to pay a $50 deposit. When they would not let him stay without it. They told me the room charge that was already charged to my debit card will be returned to me in 7 to 10 working days! I guess they probably let a friend stay in the room I paid for as a Christmas gift! read more

My neighborhood had a electricity black out my children were scared and sick with fevers this night.so we decided to book a room and stay here as it looked nice we drove far from our area thinking we are giving the kids a better stay only to run out in the middle of the night because our room we stayed in was infested with bed bugs!!!! Our baby had bed bugs crawling on him we ran out and got our $$$$ back !!! Disgusting stay!!!!!! Imagine all the ppl who sleep here not realizing they are taking bed bugs home with them! read more

I have stayed at a couple of Staybridge Suites, I was going to be in the Milpitas area so decided to stay at the closest Staybridge. It was a bit small compared to the other properties I have been in. Raymond was at the reception area and he greeted us (bf and I) properly with a smile and very curteous. We walked into the room and it was clean and everything was in order. The only down side is that this hotel is a little dated, this has a small kitchenette but then again maybe I have been spoiled by other Staybridges which offer a big bedroom separate from the kitchen/livingroom area. I would like to take a moment to thank you all for your comments. We at the Staybridge Suites Milpitas take all comments in considration and seriously. As I update all views... I would like to express that our internet access has been resolved on a higher volume of speed on Nov 2011. Since then we have not received any concerns but recieved wonderful comments from our guest that stay with us. We have 99 sleeping rooms and 6 being our smoking rooms. All of our Housekeeping staff are all pofessionally trained and take there daily task seriously. In viewing 10/21/11 comments, all smoking rooms are treated with our high OZONE machaine and is deeped cleaned from our housekeepers daily,from this daily task it helps prevents stained orders in all smoking rooms. In moving forward from this comment... all rooms are walked through daily by our Housekeeping Surpervisor making sure that all rooms are cleaned and smell smoke free. Our Maintenance Chief has inspected all rooms A/C and all is running well and are all perpared for this upcoming hot summer. All A/C units are inspected once a month or upon request by our guest. As of December 3, 2011 all of our sleeping rooms have been replaced with 37' and 42' Flat Screen TV's. As a Standard Brand Hotel, the Staybridge Suites had to complete all renovations of new flat screen tv's in all sleeping rooms by the end of 2011. We are very proud that we had meet our goal! No-frills hotel with all the amenities required for a long term stay. The only downside is the wireless, which is barely passable (I could not VPN to work). When I was staying here, I didn't appreciate the stuff it offered. I'm now staying at a Hilton Garden Inn (for the same per-night price as the Staybridge) and I miss the Staybridge. I paid $109 a day for a long-term rental (about 2 weeks), which was a great price for the Bay Area, IMO. The rooms are of a decent size, and there is a full kitchen in each unit. Each unit also has a safe, which is not the case with the Hilton (so I miss the functionality in the Staybridge). The TV in the units is an older model, and there is no video-on-demand (but that didn't matter to me). No cost for doing laudry (awesome!), the gym is below average, and 24-hour shop for basic food/supplies. This hotel does everything to minimize costs, including not fix up your room on weekends (make your bed, new towels, etc) unless you request it. It bothered me initially, but you only need to request a full service fix up and they'll happily do it. If you're too late for the day, you can at least call up extra towels etc. I think it's great as long as they pass the savings to me. The wireless connection was barely passable, and it was not at all adequate for me to VPN into my office. Watching Netflix movies was also very hard (required multiple pauses to let the video buffer up while watching a 30 minute episode). Parking is ample, and the hotel has a slightly old look along the corridors, but the rooms are well done and the staff is very accommodating. Would I stay here again? Yes I would. Clean rooms, all the amenities (except wireless) for a reasonable price means that this is good value for money. read more

We stayed her for one night but could have easily stayed longer. We stayed in a junior suite. It had a full size refrigerator, and fully equiped kitchen. Some of the reviews talked about the TV's being old, but ours was a 40" LED. The bathroom room was clean, the staff was friendly and we enjoyed a nice breakfast in the morning. I cannot comment on the internet in that I didn't use it but overall a very good experience and a reasonable rate. read more

In all the hotels I've stayed at in the Silicon Valley, none hold a candle to this one. From the amazing, helpful, customer service to the comfortable beautiful accommodations, this is the best of the best. I cannot say enough. Every day light housekeeping is done, fresh towels, made beds, everything wiped down. So nice to return back to a room that feel more like a home than a hotel. The kitchen adds that extra... Then there's breakfast AND dinner. Not just a little bit of fruit, but a full hot breakfast, unwind and let them do the cooking with a great dinner. Full meal, not just small appetizers. Staybridge has won my business and my company's. I won't stay anywhere else in the area again. read more

Overall a decent hotel. 12 foot ceilings. Nice tall shower head (a perk for us over 6'5". Pretty good free breakfast. I askeed the front desk to call me a cab but I got a luxury towncar. Quite shady. It was twice as much as the cab ride in. Thank God for expense reports. read more
