Another quick weekender on the Dirty Blvd. The biggest plus here to me is the staff. Everyone from check in to checkout along with breakfast and seeing random housekeepers in the hallways, are all very friendly and come across as genuine. The location is also good. Just south of of 195 and there are tons of choices close with which to grease by. BK/Chipotle/The Bell/Diners/local red sauce Italian/Jersey Mike's/Whoever Gene is with his famous seafood/etc. The breakfast is the breakfast. Standard Hampton drek that is as good as a corporately curated Sysco menu can be. As a pleasant surprise, the property wasn't that busy which equaled plenty of easy upfront parking spaces and never hearing any neighbors. Typical older Hampton location that exists within its own utilitarian perfection. What more could you ask for? read more

Nice clean and comfortable room. I have not stayed here in a long time. The beds are comfortable with plenty of pillows. The a/c heating unit was very quiet. Our room looked out to Route 240 and I never noticed any vehicular traffic. The bathroom is well appointed. The bath towels are stored too high for short travelers. The shower flow was easy to adjust and responsive. The Contenental Breakfast was adequate with omelets and potatoes. Cereal was available, along with commercial baked goods. You can make your own waffle was available, but the fad seems to be dying. Rate this stay a 8.5. read more

I recently stayed overnight at this hotel after attending a golf event in the New Bedford area. The property was very clean, my room was upgraded due to my membership level, room was huge, and a nice welcome bag of snacks and water were waiting in my room upon arrival. Probably the best Hampton Inn that I have stayed and I have stayed at many. The staff member at the front desk called up to my room upon arrival to see if I needed an anything. Super nice and friendly. Highly recommend this property. They will take care of you. read more

I will never book here again. I had to cancel my reservation because when I booked with them, I was informed I would be able to check in at 10 AM by Steve, and that we would have separate rooms on different sides of the hotel because we were getting ready for a wedding. The manager, I believe her name was Kate, was very unprofessional and rude. She also hung up the phone on me and said, "I don't know what to tell you." She didn't even let me get a word in; she kept talking over me constantly, and I had to ask her if I could finish talking. She said, "Go ahead," but still continued to talk over me. I honestly don't think this is a job for her at all, as she has poor customer service skills. I will be taking further action; this will not end here. I was super nice to her from the start--I said, "Hi, how are you?" when she answered the phone, and by the tone of her voice, I already knew what I was in for. If they fire someone, which was Steve, they should still follow through with the arrangements they give their customers. read more

Arrived really late due to flight delays; the front desk associate was so understanding and helpful checking me in. The rooms were moderately updated for a Hampton Inn. Still could use a bathroom update. But overall would continue to use for work stays in town. read more

I stayed here for a single night last night with my wife. We were here for a Thursday to Friday night stay and arrived into the hotel at a fairly late hour. Whenever we got inside there was a sign saying that the worker was helping another customer and would be back in a bit. Since it was late I can't say that I was happy about it and the employee made it back to us a couple of minutes later. She ended up being really nice and pretty soon all was forgotten and we were checked in and headed up to our room. We had a king sized bed here and the room is what I have come to expect from a Hampton Inn with a nice bed which my wife and I slept comfortably in. I didn't hear any noises through the door or floor here which allowed me to get a nice nights sleep. All too soon we were up again and partaking in the included breakfast. It consisted of your usual Hilton breakfast items including premade "omelettes", cereal, cook it yourself waffles, pastries, yogurt, fruit juices and more. All of it was to the usual Hilton standard and my wife and I both enjoyed ourselves. Since we had places to be that was the only amenity that we took advantage of while there and soon after we easily checked out. The bottom line for me is that I would stay here again in the future. This Hampton Inn allowed me to get a good nights sleep along with an included breakfast in the morning and the employee was friendly too. read more

Staff was friendly and the room was large and clean but the fitness center stunk unbelievably, had broken equipment and was out of santizing wipes. The bathroom light in my room flickered and the mixer valve in the shower was broken. Someone needs to pay more attention to basic necessities which separate poor hotels from the better ones. read more

Nice hotel as long as you don't mind cold showers or dirty water. Rest of the hotel experience was fine. This hotel really went cheap on its shower faucets. Normally, one turns the faucet CCW until you reach the desired temperature. Here, you start at 6 o'clock (handle straight down) and then turn CCW. Nothing happens till about 3 o'clock where the temp is frigid. Water then turns off as you move up towards 12 o'clock and doesn't turn on again until 9 o'clock where the temp is now semi-frigid. One can keep turning in this manner with no change in result. I asked for a new room after the first morning, which they provided- but quickly realized this was the intended faucet design. If this is some new shower plumbing fad, then some instructions would be nice . To add insult to injury- the second shower spit out dirty water (see photo) intermittently. Just gross. read more

Staff was attentive, professional and kind. Unfortunately, I was in town for a sudden family death, and needed a room last minute. They were graceful, non intrusive, and sympathetic. I was a hot mess, and couldn't help but let the tears stream down my face when checking out, and I felt a really positive vibe and cheerfulness from the ladies behind the desk, and was grateful for their professionalism. Excellent! Rooms are very clean and the king bed linens/pillows were soft and comfy. Not the cheapest place in the area, but NOT the most expensive either. As a woman traveling alone I felt VERY safe at this hotel, which was important to me. The free breakfast in the AM was very good as well. Nice Hampton Inn. Very comfortable bed. Hoever, do not stay on the 3rd floor. There are some smoking rooms there and our first "non-smoking" room smelled of smoke. Staff very politely moved us to the 2nd floor. But it would have been a disaster if they were out of rooms. read more

We rolled into New Bedford after biking over 50 miles from Hyannis. Hampton was chosen because of its location--across from the harbor. Upon arriving, the staff at Hampton Inn were welcoming and pointed us to some delicious cookies. They also very kindly upgraded us to suites which gave us so much more room for the bikes. Showers and bathrooms were hot and clean. In addition, they pointed us to Merrill's across the street for drinks and food, a great recommendation. The breakfast the next day was wonderful and made it easy to get out early for our next ride. Thankful for this stop on our journey. read more

Eh, it's ok. I think it's overpriced for the area but the rooms are nice and the beds are comfortable. Check in time was at 3 and we got there at 4 and were told our room wasn't ready. We asked if we were early for the check in time and the manager said we were not. I expressed frustration about paying for a room if it wasn't ready and the manager said "oh well things happen, I had people check out late and someone called in sick". This response seemed completely unprofessional to me and when I asked her how long it would be before a room was ready she said 30 minutes. We decided to just go wait by the pool which is nice but small. When our room was ready they brought our keys out to the pool and gave us some bottled water and snacks to make up for it. The breakfast the next morning was good but when I tried to make a waffle at 9 am, they said they were all done for today even though breakfast goes until 10. Also, we wanted to wake up and get a few hours in the pool before we had to check out but it didn't open until 10 am. There was a wedding party that was also waiting to go in so someone went to the front desk to ask if they would open it early, it was 9:30 at this point so it would have just been 30 minutes but they said no. Not sure why since there is never a life guard on duty anyway...we ended up asking for a late check out which they granted. Overall, it was a pretty mediocre stay that they could have made outstanding by just making a few changes. read more

For the market it serves - this is an exceptional option for lodging. The Inn was clean and quiet and the bed very comfortable. What was amazing was the customer service. Two things could have gone very wrong for us this past weekend, and the Hotel staff was so helpful. We were traveling to attend my mother's funeral. In our distracted state, we forgot to pack deodorant and we were tight for time. I called down to the front desk to ask if they has toiletries for sale. They said, no not for sale, but they had items available for free. So that problem was solved! Next, again in our distracted state, we left behind a precious stuffed animal behind in the room. This stuffed animal has great meaning to one of the family. The hotel staff found it - and left a message on my voice mail offering to hold it for pick up or ship it back to our home if we were already out of area. It would have been heartbreaking to lose this stuffed monkey - so glad it was treated with great care. Finally, the breakfast provided with the nightly room fee was terrific. Hot fresh waffles, yogurt, fresh fruit, etc. etc. We will definitely stay there again when in the area. read more

Never have I ever been so disgusted by a hotel. I came back to my room (by myself no other human staying in this room) from a wedding and thought I'd enjoy a hot shower before bed time. Now I'm sure we all know what the little black hairs are that sometimes are in people's showers, however, I'd rather see those at home then in a HOTEL SHOWER. Clear as day too. Not like they were camouflaged with the marble design, legit staring at me. From that point on I started to notice more about the room that really was unacceptable and unhygienic. The couch pullout has crumbs in it, I can tell the tissue box has not been replaced (lord knows whose nasty little mitts were in there). The springs on the mattress were basically poking each vertebrae, every bone in my body, each which way I turned. Old stain ridden dilapidated bedding. The two places you want to feel the cleanest at a hotel are the BATHROOM and BED. Both absolutely deplorable. Search your whole life for bed bugs before you enter your home. read more

Excellent customer service! My family had arrived early, after a very long drive through the night, and the staff was very accommodating. The girl at the front desk encouraged us to enjoy breakfast and she took my number to call when the first room was available. not 15 minutes later, I received her call and was quickly checked in and able to catch some ZZZs. Throughout the stay all of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel room was generally quiet, clean, and well maintained. For an average hotel, this was an excellent experience because of the staff working there. read more

Breakfast was a bit weak, barely cooked food and juice was out. Not much attention being given to breakfast quality. Trash on exterior never cleaned in 2 days, exterior trash cans overflowing, trash and cigarette butts everywhere, ac in halls did not work, no fuzzy blanket in king room, staff was ok only greeted by 2 the rest just looked at us, pool was nice but in need of water and cleaning on the sides of the inside. Room was clean but could use edging behind furniture. I wanted to pay cash and they wanted $250 cash deposit to pay cash which is ridiculous! Never heard of such a thing. read more
